VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Dimitri's wound did require serious addressing. He needed alcohol to be applied in order to stop an infection from taking place. Ha'zi was fully healed, his leg was back, no missing body pieces, no scars or damage to him. It appeared a miracle had occurred. What was this boy?

Marco ran over to help Thoruk too, supporting him by carrying Dimitri's bodyweight, slinging the man's arm over his shoulder and carrying him with Thoruk back to their hiding place in the jungle.
"You okay, buddy? Them slaver cunts fack with ya?" Marco asked Thoruk.

"Is that boy a demon?" Asked Radaa, staring at Ha'zi's unconscious form as Daugo carried him over. The boy was starting to wake up and so was Dimitri.

"Demon or nay, he's on our side and that's all that matters," Cardiloc reminded Radaa, though eager to hear the lads story when he awoke. He tried not to focus on Dimitri.

Sigeric had been silent for most of this exchange, deep in thought. He glanced warily at the Haradrim boy, and shifted his gaze to the decaying body of the giant. This shouldn't be possible. When he had washed up on this Valar-forsaken island with the rest of them, this was the last thing he had expected to occur. He half expected to wake up from this dream in the hold of the slaver vessel, or perhaps even in the cell in Bree. Only one thing was certain: if he escaped from this hell, the events that transpired here would become legend. That is, if anyone would believe him. That was all irrelevant, however, unless they did manage to escape. With this in mind, Sigeric spoke up.
"We need to move, before that monstrosity decides that we're worth searching for. We should stay in the jungle, but keep the coast within sight. Travel around the perimeter of the island, as Elodrin suggested. Any objections?"
Sigeric knew that many of the group were still in shock at the horrible bloodshed that had transpired. He had to drive them to action, however insensitive he might seem. Mourning the dead now could get them killed.

Daugo sets the boy down on the ground with some difficulty. For a brief moment, he thought about his two children. Would they be with their whore of a mother? What would they think of him, if they did so at all? These are questions he cannot afford to regularly ponder, however, and he stows them back in their proper drawer in his mind's wardrobe of tragedies.

"Exactly," he says in response to what Sigeric said. He liked the man; fearless but sensible, if a little too rash sometimes. "If we travel around the p'rimeter, we should be bound to stumble upon any streams the island has. I for one am thirsty as is."

Sigeric nodded.
"We cannot set out immediately, of course. We should send a few men ahead to scout, while we treat the wounded. We shall also require a stretcher for Cardiloc, provided we still have some of the tarps. As to provisions, I see that we have three barrels. How much food and drink do they contain?"

Cardiloc looked up at Sigeric and spoke "Whatever we do, we need to stay away from both the giant and the other slaver group." Cardiloc suggested to the Dalish man. "Maybe get out of its sight I think," He added quickly, grabbing his spear and inspecting his leg. "I don't need a stretcher, Radaa can carry me fine enough, any stretchers would have been at the ship anyway, but we could scrouge supplies." He proposed to Sigeric.

After Ha'zi is put on the ground, he starts to wake up. His eyes flutter a bit, as they are adjusting to his surroundings. He says, concerned, "Lesier...?" He looks to see the others around him.

He's..." Cardiloc uttered to Ha'Zi, unable to tell him the news, "In a better place," He finished, the dunlending lowered his head.

"Huh, it seems that Hazi is not theo ne who made em into a a giant. Maybe it was that Keldar being he talked about while...... killing? hazi as a giant" Iver said and took a sit on the edge of the water barrel. "Anyways it seems like we need to take care of Dim or his body will start rotting soon"

"I'm fine lad" he tells his supporter. "But I'd be grateful if you could carry him on. I'm pretty exhausted..." he mumbles as he sinks down onto the remains of a broken plank. "Does someone have a bit water for me?" he asks as he looks around, exhausted, seemingly thirsty like he'd not drank something for a whole week.

"ya sure" Iver grabbed the mug he used earlier to pure ale at the cunt and filled it with water from the barrel. "Drink it slow or you will waste it all" He said as he gave the thirsty dwarf the mug

At Cardiloc's response, Ha'zi remembers the boulders raining down. "No..." he begins sobbing, and sits up. After a while, he begins to calm down, "Why," he snifled, "am I still here if I was next to him?" He looks to the others again, his face still wet.

"You... you turned into some kind of giant but you stood no chance, the other giant marched off someplace else," Cardiloc explained to the Haradrim. "I-I didn't know the old man for long, but, he was a good man. He gave me this spear and I swear to wulf I shall prove myself with it." He promised Ha'Zi.

"I-i turned into giant?" He says quietly. It looks like he is hiding something in his expression, but this may not be the best time to ask about that. "Then how am I here?"

"When the other one knocked your heard clean off, you appeared out of the carcass. The dwarf here carried you over." The dunlending motioned to the exhausted Thoruk.

After a few sips from the mug he feels his strength slowly coming back. "Thanks lad, you saved a dwarfs life" he says towards Ivers direction with a waving hand. He takes a few more sips before trying to stand up again but after he gets up he already gets down again cause of the things that happend a few minutes ago. All the bloodsplatter he had witnessed reminds him of the fights he had seen in the north, where his brothers also died through the hands of a giant. Slowly he grabbes his forehead with his hand and sits down onto the plank again to rest for a few minutes and think about what had just happend with a seemingly worried expression on his face.

"We can discuss whatever questions we have later, now we need to move." Elodrin would call to everyone hoping they listened, even if they weren't he used his authorities captain voice to make them. "We mustn't forget out vows and prayers, we must survive. Lesier will get a proper burial of Haradrim custom, even if it is today, tomorrow, or a week from now. However I don't want to promise anyone a proper burial any longer. Gather the wounded, lift them in your arms and set them on your backs, help with what food and water we have, and make sure to stick together! The first sign of water that we find if it is a lake or river we will stop, if we don't find one then we will stop once everyone asks to. I know I'm asking a lot out of you all as all of us are tired, so more so than others. Yet we must survive...." Elodrin would say loudly so everyone could hear him, even for those slightly further into the jungle.

Ha'zi begins to collect himself, wiping away the tears. He only glares at Iver, and nods in agreement to Elodrin. "But what about him?" He points to Dim.

Sigeric walked over to the group surrounding Ha'zi, and addressed the boy. "You've gone through quite a lot today, and it would be best not to think too hard on the subject right now. You're alive, and we need you to stay that way. I didn't know Lesier well, but I'm certain that he would have wanted you to carry on and live to escape this island. Don't let his sacrifice go to waste."
Sigeric extended his hand to help Ha'zi off the ground. He didn't know why the boy had turned into a giant, but it was clear that he had an important part to play in the journey to come. Certainly too important for him to ignore.
"You heard Elodrin and I." he said to the group. "We need to move."
