VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Yes ill be on my way, just give me yar stuff ill store them in our new place" He told Thoruk before carrying it all in his cart to his new house, leaving all of his equipment there and going to the fire place to eat and then go to sleep. The bads can wait for tommorow.

"Just get some, scrub." The man said poiting towards the campfire. "Victas is roasting boar and boiling some rabbit stew if you want to fill your tummy, little man." 13527980

"I was a soldier, then a gem miner, then a trader. I was sold into slavery when I attempted to cross the Harnen to sell my gems in Gondor." Taumiel said finishing his meal. "I'm gonna get some rest. I know some rooms you can stay in. Most of this place is empty aside from the Gondorian section." He offered Dimitri. Iver felt a bit sleepy. He could try to log some trees down but it would exhaust him. "You could do it in the morning," Vlad says to him. 14628767

Polly waves him goodbye. Marco joins Thoruk patting him on the shoulder, "Heya, let's git some fuud!" Pushing both Iver and Thoruk towards the campfire feast. 13615485

Elodrin received some cheers and shouts from the crowd of men and women. Some didn't really budge in but many did. The crowd mentality went wild as he promised them freedom and most people, sick of slavery and this island, just wanted to return home.
"ELODRIN! ELODRIN! ELODRIN!!!" They picked him up carrying him over to the campfire feast, filling many seats and rows. The older Gondorian was treated like a king brought rabbit stew and boar hide. His friends laughing with him, pushing him and asking for stories of Gondor and the army. Unlike Sigeric his status soared through the roof. Eonwe, seeing no more questions, said, "Tomorrow we shall embark on an expedition to capture the Flying Titan. I expect both of you up and ready in the morning to join us. So, get some food, return here to rest, Illmare has prepared your sleeping quarters and enjoy the peace. Tomorrow is a big day. You'll use your Giant Powers." he stood and left them to their own devices.

"Thanks, comrade, but I'm gonna check out the rest of the camp first." Dimitri replied. He gets up, says bye, and walks to join Sigeric. "Northmen?" he asks.

"I'm receiving the impression that you wonderful people don't particularly enjoy my company. Now what have I done to deserve such a reception?" Sigeric asked, smiling grimly. "It's because I'm some pampered rich noble from Dale, isn't it? That is how you view me, if I'm reading the situation correctly. Here is my advice to you. Do not be fooled by appearances. I've had to fight tooth and nail for every scrap of renown I own." He glanced at the bonfire. "Do not worry, I shall not bother you for much longer. I'm hungry, and that boar over there appears scrumptious."
With that, he left for the bonfire, leaving the group to ponder his words.

"Aye lad, for sure" the dwarf says as his stomach starts to growl. "Aye, I want the first boar lads." he adds while moving on.

"Firstly I suppose I'd like to ask what animals I can turn into, and... I had this vision, of a wolf." Cardiloc began to explain, clearly shaken by it. "She, I think it was a she, promised to protect me. Does that mean I can transform into a wolf, and only a wolf?" Cardiloc questioned Eonwe.

"No. It's the last form of the previous Hybrid Giant. As inheritors of the power, you will receive visions, guidance, and support from the previous shifters. You also may experience memories that aren't yours but theirs. This, however, I cannot guarantee will occur. You, as the Hybrid Giant, can transform into any animal form that you can envision which is large enough to fit a human body into it. Usually, any animal you transform into shall be 10 feet in length or larger. Anything you can envision in your mind." Eonwe explained. 12700073

"So when is our first lesson to control these powers?" Cardiloc pondered to the Herald, still processing all of this in.

"Oh, not at all. They shall come around eventually, though I expect that they will be tough to crack. I have found that the easiest way to deal with their kind is to find the strongest among them, and show superiority through combat. But I would be a fool to attempt such a thing after a long journey and on an empty stomach. Perhaps tomorrow. I trust that you have found a better reception than I did?" Sigeric asked for a portion of food from whoever was managing the bonfire, and sat down near the archers.

"Aye, met a nice dwarf from down south, offered to change my arm a bit. Debating if I should take him up on it." Dimitri says, before abruptly leaving and going to the group of men from earlier. "If you think you are strong, come to the entrance to the camp tomorrow. We're gonna scrap." he says, before turning and heading for an empty house.

"Tomorrow before we engage the Flying Giant." Eonwe said to them. 12700073 16315828

((All of you go to sleep. We'll pick up soon.))

Ha'zi says goodbye to the two, leaves the building, and tries to find his quarters to energize for tomorrow.

After the mighty dwarf had eaten to much of the boar he desides to head towards his sleeping place with a full stomach. "Aye, a real shame that they had no beer.." he says while trampling towards the house, if you want to call it that way, that Iver had chosen and where his weapons where to lay down and gain some power for the upcoming fights. "Hm... new axe" is what he mumbles before falling asleep.

"Alright, alright! I'll tell you all a story. No doubt many of you heard of the slaughter of Calembal many years ago, this story is about my actions involving the battle and how one of my fellow's and I could of possibly of met on the field rather than a tavern." Clearing his throat he would begin his story, taking the occasional break to eat or drink. "The story begins with me being in my prime, only just becoming a captain several years before I had received a message about a general rally to destroy a large Orc Warband. Me and several others decided not to answer the call thinking it would be better for our men to defend the border or act as a reserve force if needed. By the time everyone arrived at Dol Amroth the host had reached around 700 soldiers. Still I didn't answer the call, yet me and several now dead captains remained close acting as a reserve force. For three days our armies marched with ours being eight hours March behind the main host."

"We were an hours March away when a horse rider came stating that the host and Orc Warband were clashing at the town of Calembal. We were loosing. I personally rallied each captain and combined at a fast March we arrived at the battlefield. I could tell that they were close to retreating, many were wounded and many more were dead. "Sivalis! Ralovd! Esgiloth! Raise the banners! Blow the horns!" I remember I yelled to several lieutenants under my overall command. Within a moment of twenty seconds the men of Gondor sounded their arrival, charged, and rallied there now routing comrades. Cavalry tore apart formations, archers created havoc, and infantry tore through. When I made it to the front lines I abandoned my horse for the reach of my Longsword. "Mithril Lammen" or Silver Tounge. I killed many Orcs, Wargs, and chieftains who decided to face me. We won the battle, but at a cost. The Warband had been defeated, scattered into the wind and never to be seen again. But in return we lost many lives."

"The moral of the story is that it is okay to not fight, but it is not okay to not stand by your brothers side through thick and thin. Ever sense that day I brought my men to every call, every battle we thought we would be needed, and readied ourselves in case we were called upon. I regret my decision in not answering the call, perhaps if I did so many would be alive today."

"Thank you," he says, smiling sweetly, "asshole," he adds a little more softly as he's turning to where Victas is making that seemingly legendary meal.

Instead of sleeping like Ha'Zi did, for Cardiloc was quite rested after his little nap, the Dunlending instead opted to explore the city a little.

The campfire was a spectacular sight at night. Nearly a hundred people were eating around it in the various groups: the huge Gondorian section celebrating, the men of Rhovanion, Yuri and the archers, some hillmen like Radaa, separate groups like Dimitri and Sigeric, even the dwarf Taumiel. There was a large boar being spit roasted like a skewered kebab in the middle of the fire. It had been majorly devoured but portions of its calves, hide and legs remained untouched. Beside it was a great steel bowl that boiled.

Once Daugo got close enough he could smell the aromas from within: rabbit with a hint of potatoes. 'Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew' the famous Shire phrase entered his mind. It was nearly nostalgic and the overpowering smell made him desire the stew more than anything else at that moment. A man passed by him, poking the boar and moving it on the spit this way and that way, turned to see him eyeing the boiling rabbit stew.
"Need a bowl, little buddy?" He asked, offering him a wooden bowl and spoon.

Cardiloc could see the great campfire and could try his luck there. All that salted beef was pretty boring at this point and a little boar could spice up his day. Beyond that he saw the armoury and smithery. Also a brewery near the campfire if he ever needed something stronger to drink. If he needed water he could ask and would be directed towards a stream in the valley next to Aldamos's settlement.

As Iver slept he awoke in a dark void. Everything around him was a shadow. A voice spoke from the deep.

"Follow the boy and you will find what your heart desires."

Then a glowing shimmer appeared in the shadow, hovering above him. It slowly descended, it's glow brightening until it was unbearable to glance back at. The light was blinding like the sun yet so alluring. Iver didn't know what it was or who was speaking. But it entranced him. Ensnared him. He wanted it. More than anything. It was so beautiful. More magnificent than that Maia Lady. More than the world. More than anything. And like that one had fallen.

---------------

Ha'zi too had a dream. He was stranded on an island. A tiny one. Literally a few blocks of sand beneath his feet and around him the oceans. He was alone. The skies were dark grey and covered with clouds as it began to rain. Slowly the oceans began to rise, enveloping his legs, then his torso, then his chest. He was going to drown.

He heard a voice. A man's voice. He recognized it. He would turn in the direction of the voice and see him.

Above Ha'zi was a giant. The giant from before. The Warrior. On the giant's shoulders stood a man. Keldar.

"You need to transform!" He shouted to Ha'zi from his perch on the Warrior Giant's shoulder.

Ha'zi had to find a way to do it. What did Eonwe say about this? What did he have to do?
