VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Cardiloc stepped over to the sleeping Pyrus, and pulled out the spear. "How about we rest first, before we leave the island. We need all our transformations." He suggested to Illmare.

As Thoruk sees Ivers blood dripping into the bowl he puts the coconuts onto the rock he was sitting on and gets up "I refuse to give you Durin's blood lady" he says as he grabbes hold of his axe "I still don't trust you, the only thing you've accomplised is that we attack someone who helped us, this makes it even stranger for me." the migthy dwarf answers as he takes a few steps back "You hide something, I can feel it for sure, who tells us that this key you're talking of, isn't the key to morgoths prison?" "If you want to get my blood you'd need to fight me he says as he puts his axe onto his arm, ready to cut himself and transform right afterwards.

"marco, come here" Iver said as he teared up a piece of cloth to stop his bleeding.
"Thoruk i swear to god every drop of blood you saved by hiding from the maia ill make u spill into that bowl" He said in rage, the coward dwarf should be ashamed of himself

"The Valar will know something is wrong when Pyrus does not send word. We need to leave now before they can locate us, Cardiloc."

Then she heard Thoruk openly rebelling. "Thoruk, answer this question for me." She paused, turning to the Dwarf, "Do you want to return to the Iron Hills? To your family? To your home? Or do you want to stay on this island for a day and wait for the Valar to appear and kill you and your friends?" Her tone was simply factual. Not cold, not warm. Merely straightforward and blunt.
"Because if we do not leave now, then we will all perish. You do not want to fight the Valar without your full powers. I need your blood before I can activate them. So, what do you choose? Death or freedom?"

Cardiloc would step back to the group but heard Thoruks words and thought about the decision. When Illmare spoke he thought some more, he lifted his arm and laid the spearhead on top of it. However he looked at the others before making a decision.

"Lady" the migthy dwarf starts off, camly like the ice-cold winds in the north "I have no family back there" he stops as he thinks "Atleast I think so.." He turns towards her, lowers his axe and speaks up once more "So why should I trust you, or the more important question, why would I give you blood from my bloodline?" he asks as he sits down once more. "I swear to Durin, if you will betray us, your death will be far more painfull than Eonwe's death was" he says before waiting for her answers to decide if he would give his blood or not.

Dimitri kept drinking, then takes a sharp shard of seashell and cuts Thoruk's arm, letting a small amount fall into a coconut shell and handing it to Illmare.

Sigeric considered Ilmare's request. The idea of utilizing blood magic did not especially appeal to him, but if it was the only way... "Ilmare, you must convince us that we can trust you. How do we know that your intentions are what you claim? Surely you can understand our skepticism."

"What do you guys have to loose? Its not like you have any idea of getting off the island" Iver shouted at the group while patching marco

"Thoruk, you have one family member left in Middle-Earth. Your father. He is locked within the prisons of Gundabad. He survived the war and was captured. He lives, Thoruk. That there is the truth. If we return, if you give your blood, then you will see that I am honest. Don't you want to see that? Don't you want the possibility of freeing your father? Freeing yourself?" She said to Thoruk then turned to Sigeric upon hearing his confessions.

"I swear to you by the Creator, Eru, All Father, Illuvitar himself. I swear by Ea and the Eternal Flame. I swear that I want to release you of your bond to this island, to free you, to free myself from the Valar and to return you to Middle-Earth, alive." she proclaimed to the sky.

The atmosphere seemed to darken. It was the afternoon but everything becomes drearier. The sky began to pour rain and lightning hit the cave top in front of Ilmare. A voice beckoned from the skies.

"ILMARE."

The Maia froze, almost stunned. There was clear fear in her eyes. She stared wild-eyed at them, scared for the first time in her entire life.
"Manwe! YOUR BLOOD NOW! HE'S COMING."

Everyone saw that she was correct. Thunder clouds blocked out the sky and rain began to descend upon them in columns untold. The voice spoke again,

"GIANTS. DIE."

A flash of lightning came down, striking the spot directly in front of Dimitri.

"OH SHIT TIME TO RUN BITCHES." Dimitri shouts, getting up and cutting his arm to get some blood, before doing the same to the nearest giant that hasn't given blood.

"Sigeric.. I think that's a pretty good sign," Ha'zi says in a mix of awe and horror at the sound of the resounding voice. "We need to hurry. NOW." Ha'zi goes over to the closest shifter and cuts them with his croc teeth and puts their blood in the bowl.

Iver ran to the last giant, "Sorry not sorry" He said and stabbed his upper arm and brought his bloody dagger to Illmare.

"Aye, I guess that was my blood which called the gods you fool" he says sarcastically as he looks towards Dimitri with a cold look.

CHAPTER 7: FREEDOM

Ilmare, with all the blood collected, began to swirl it in the wooden bowl and spoke aloud over the sounds of the storm,

"Illumin, Lavitar, Mantasorunika, Varmenos, Questatrasta, Evakokodae." She repeated in Valarin.

All the Shifters felt a tingling up their spines and their tattoo marks began to burn. Then, their minds were unlocked. They began to see the memories of the previous shifters. Their minds went blank as the information flooded in, overwhelming them.

---

Ha'zi saw the Warrior Giant brawling with the Guardian Giant in a memory, the Warrior was defeating it by using empathic mimicry, which allowed it to build weapons like the Guardian out of its own organic material. Sigeric saw the Guardian speaking and understood how to, as well as being able to create armor for the other giants.

Dimitri had memories of the Dwarf Giant, using its jaws to burrow through the ground, destroying rock and appearing on a mountainside. He could not tell what this memory was of but he saw in the distance a gargantuan dragon, the size of the highest mountains, fighting a flying ship. He saw it use its jaws and harden its claws to dig back into the ground and burrow through the Earth.

Grimnir had memories of the Destroyer Giant speaking and using its arms to crack boulders and toss them at enemies. Specifically, the precise method to crack the boulders in order to make sure the rock doesn't break into dust and is within good condition. He watched it throw rocks and kill scores of people at Aldamos.

Iver witnessed memories of the previous Flying Giant, which flew around the neck of the Behemoth and landed on its shoulders as it carved mountains and built bridges. The Flying Giant used its frost-breath to freeze rocks in place and create bridges with the support of the Behemoth. Daugo saw how the Behemoth could control its transformation, how it could transform without obliterating everything around it, how it could control its fires and steaming abilities.

Thoruk saw how the Elemental could control the sky, earth and sea. How this Giant was able to manipulate water, fire, rock and wind. How it could start storms, earthquakes and tsnuamis. Meanwhile Cardiloc began to see various beasts of different shapes and sizes from sharks to mammoths to dragons and drakes and slithering snakes and flying parakeets and wargs and wereworms. He saw how the Hybrid Giant was able to create hybrid animals using various animal-forms at once.

They all witnessed one thing, though. They saw Morgoth. The Dark Lord on his throne. They saw the torment he put these people through. They saw the slave work he made them do. They saw the innards of Angband and the armies of Morgoth. They saw the Balrogs, Sauron the Deciever, Werewolves, Vampires, Dragons, Monsters of all Shapes and Sizes and lastly. They saw the Shifters, all eight of them, banding together to create a pact that they would never, ever, return to Morgoth. That they would keep their powers for eternity and never allow Morgoth to escape. They would prevent others from allowing him to do so. And even though they were abandoned, locked away and left to rot by the Valar, the would remain a family, forever.

Then, they saw as those dreams were shattered as each of them were slain, their powers taken and their oath broken. Keldar, the Warrior sacrificing himself after being convinced to do so by some dark figure; Ilian, the Hybrid killed by Eonwe to save Cardiloc; Eldan, the Flying killed by Sigeric; Osman, the Destroyer, died in combat with Grimnir; Irdis, the Elemental, murdered by Ilmare; Gormas, the Dwarf, killed by Cardiloc; Berra, the Guardian, slain by Ha'zi; and Andreth, the Behemoth, butchered by Iver.

---

Ilmare finished her chant, proclaiming to the sky, "I AM NO LONGER YOUR SLAVE, MANWE. BEHOLD, THE LORD OF ALL AND GIVER OF FREEDOM! MORGOTH BAUGLIR!!!"

The wooden bowl disappeared into a chasm that began to form underneath the cavetop. A dark hole expanded, swallowing up the ground as Ilmare stood, triumphantly and backed away from it.

Silesia, Sam and Marco stood by, with their friends who were not responsive to what was happening.
"Wake up, Sigeric!" Silesia said, slapping him awake. The others began to come to and realized what was happening.

Pyrus woke up as a lightning strike hit him and freed him from the spell.

The voice from the heavens spoke out,

"TRAITORS. YOU WILL PERISH."

The black hole began to exude light, a dark black light that spread into the sky, a voidlike tentacle of shadows. Then a deep rumbling and another voice spoke in retaliation.

"Finally. Well done, my child."

Ilmare turned to them all, smiling hysterically.
"He's coming! He's coming to free us! Master, I am the one who freed you! I was loyal to the end. It is I, Ilmare of Valinor, Handmaid of Varda and Chieftan of the Maiar. I pledge myself to you, my Lord. My Saviour. Melkor, Lord of All and Giver of Freedom!" She turned back to the hole and beckoned onwards as her back was turned to them.

The black pit was expanding towards them, opening to suck them in...

"Deep in the darkness of Khazad-Dum, through fire, death, wrath, and gloom, an Dwarven Lord, great and old, dueled a Balrog from an age beyond. Hacking and slashing, they danced like stars, fighting fiercely like wild beasts. The ceiling crumbled, the earth groaned, the hall as white as bleached bones. Ancient axe cut through fiery sword, whip melted armor and made flame-like hues. The tunnels flickered with each swing, as the Balrog lost a precious wing." Dimitri ranted over and over again. He struggled to make sense of it, a lifetime of knowledge shoved mercilessly into his head. He needed to find a memory to hang onto, to stand fast upon until the flood ended. But there was so much emotion, so much pain, that he could only find a flaming eye, staring down into his mind. This was the darkest part of Dimitri's mind, a place filled with evil thoughts and dark beasts.

Dimitri roared as his warhammer smashed the fake mind-beasts, hacking his way up towards the light. He was battered by darkness and lost memories that clawed at his very soul, but slowly he pushed, till the light cleared his mind and all was well. For now. The cruel voice of Illmare pierced his thoughts. He rose up, using his warhammer as a stick, and stumbled towards her.

He stares at the void for a moment, before throwing a coconut at the ground and running out.

Iver looked at her with both broken skull and heart, how could she have done this to him. He fell on his knees and stared at events as the took place

"Hm.." Thoruk thinks, sunken in his mind, watching the story of the former shifter apear infront of him "So they didn't tell us everything.. I knew it" he thinks, but instead of feeling sorry for them or showing them any respect they had slain every single one of them. "These gods only want their plans to work out, nothing more." he thinks as he hears the name of the former shifter a few times. "Irdis" is what the migthy dwarf understands. "Aye, Irdis" he thinks "I will succeed at what you've failed, I will kill these gods to take revenge for you, thats the least I can do for robbing you your life" he thinks with anger and cold thoughts coming up through his body as he feels the powers of the old shitfer "May Durin be my witness." he adds as he waits for the gods to challenge him.

As he comes back to his senses he realises what occured "I knew it..." he says as he realises that the Morgoth was free, due to his blood. "You fools didn't believe me..." he addes before shaking his head and getting his axe ready. "I may not have the power to stand my ground for long if I transform now, but it is my oath to bring these gods down, may Durin be my witness as we fight what created us." he says before slowly gliding his axe along his hand.
