Ela watched as her brother walked away and went over to Ha'zi. The Haradrim boy seemed to be walking around the town and that left the two of them alone.
"Here," The woman said, pulling back her hair and revealing something behind her neck. It was some sort of burn mark, a tattoo from an iron that seemed to resemble a bone. "My father used to beat me," she explained, letting her hair fall to cover the mark. "He once seared the symbol of a bone onto my skin in order to prove how much of a dog I was to him. That I would be his subservient bitch, so to speak." She laughed a little, calmly. Cardiloc couldn't understand why she was so calm about this and why she was telling him all of this. "One day my life changed and here I am. The daughter of the Lord of Langstrand. I'm not his true daughter, no. He took pity on me. My true father died a long time ago when I was little. I had so much anger for him. For what he did to me. How he beat me. So much anger for the world. How was it, that I, a young girl, was beaten from the age of a baby. How could the world allow it? How could he-" she paused to look up at the skies, "allow it?" Her green eyes fell on Card. "How?"

Erland took them through the darkness of the tunnel and opened another door at the end of the stone wall. "Here, follow me," he turned to see Iver, Thoruk and Sigeric, "Now who the hell are these two?" He asked Iver, "Ah whatever, it doesn't matter. Just shut up and keep close." He exited the tunnel through the door, assuming the others were following, they entered a small staircase and Erland was already starting to ascend it. Once at the top he opened another door and stepped into the new room.
It was huge, with great chandeliers, massive rectangular glass windows that revealed Ravenhill and Erebor in the distance. And, sitting down on a chair at a fireplace that was booming, was a young man with dark brown hair, a fine beard, well groomed and wearing excellent robes. He sipped some tea and put down a book, stood up and turned to see the four of them.
"Hello there, Erland." The King said, putting down his tea as well.
"Bard." Erland smiled and went to shake his hand but instead received a hug. The King had a warm smile and a kind face.
"Welcome. I have heard great stories of you Iver," he spoke turning to the youngest of the three men, "And I hope we may become great friends." He went to shake Iver's hand, then Sigeric's and lastly Thoruk's.
