VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Dimitri shook his head disappointingly, it seemed that many simply forgot that Valianor existed. "In Valianor, there are three levels. The Valar, who actively seek to kill eight individuals scattered throughout Middle-Earth, the Eldar, who went there via death or by boat, and the Maia, the powerful servants of the Valar. The Maia do Manwe's dirty work and seem to be blindly obedient to their commands.

After looking at Iver, talking about he lost his powers Thoruk thinks "What is he talking about?" before he turns towards Brand and starts to speak. "King Bard, the best thing you can do is simply prepare your folk for what will come. A war, hordes of orcs and other dark creatures, there might even come dragons." he tells the king. You need to prepare your defences, just like my kin did." he says pausing a bit. "King Thorin is already rallying every single dwarf around middle earth and is preparing for what will come. i recommend you doing the same, king Bard." he says, putting out his lightning and sitting down again.

Cardiloc saw Ha'zi and Ela sitting near a bench. He was reading to her from his book on Mumakils or whatever. Card didn't really understand the Haradrim language.

Erland stood up and walked over to Iver, crouched by his seat and took his hand.
"No, Iver. I am the one who should be sorry. I am asking for your forgiveness. I thought you were mad and that you were a scummy scoundrel. That you weren't a son of mine like your brother..." he paused remembering Egil's death like a true soldier, "I know now that I shouldn't expect so much from you, Iver. I am proud of you, for who you are. Not what you do."

Bard II acknowledged Thoruk's answer, "That is foreseeable. But what else? Hide in Dale and be sieged to starvation? Do we not have any chance to strike the enemy first?"

"I see. So, like Bema the Rider?" Eomer asked. It was clear to Dimitri that even royalty had little knowledge on the creators of Ea.

"Uhm..." The conversation became incredibly awkward between Dimitri and Eomer. "So, what is it you have to tell me aside from 'Maia' incursions in Rohan?"

8861015

"Come, we can stay the night here. Tomorrow we head to Minas Tirith at long last though we will make a few stops on the way." He informed the pair, motioning for them to go.

"I'd like to join you." The young woman's voice popped up as she led them into the Lord's mansion and directed them towards the guest rooms, "I'm bored of this place and want to see the world. That and the fact you turned into an eagle makes me want to go with you." She explained.

12700073

"Well, if the Elves didn't tell you, the world might die in the next ten weeks, millions of orcs and other creatures are coming back to life in the next ten weeks, and there are 10 year old children in an isolated river valley that know more about the history of Middle-Earth than you." Dimitri said. "Now, who exactly was in this Elven party?"

Eomer glared at Dimitri but continued, "A Lord Celeborn, over three hundred elves and a hobbit. I believe." The King of Rohan would not be intimidated but he was already in that position with this churlish Forochelrim.

8861015

After hearing the information, Dimitri bowed and with a polite smile said, "Thank you for your time, mi'lord. Now, I must make haste to Minas Tirith. The Elves are waiting for you there. Best of luck to you, and you might want to consider finding a way to motivate your guards more. Quite easy to manipulate." He then bowed again, and left the Hall, humming "Funiculi, Funicula" and ignoring any angry looks he got.

"There is nothing that we can do to prevent his return. It has already come to pass." Sigeric said, paying little attention to the drama between Erland and Iver. "The eight Karoltai will travel to Mordor, and face Morgoth in battle." Sigeric's mind inadvertently shifted to his recurring dream. A chill traveled through him. He could not allow that to come to pass. "In the time that it would take the Kingdom of Dale to raise an army and travel south, the outcome of the war might already be decided. Whether you choose to march to battle or wait to defend your borders, the fact remains that Dale's armies must be mobilized. Spread the word of Morgoth's return, and muster your bannermen."

Iver knew it would seem childish but he hugged his dad. Before saying "I think I will stay here in Dale. I lost my powers and i dont think I can help you guys".

"Well." Lothiriel said to her husband, "That was embarrassing. Even I know the Valar."

Eomer turned to her with furious eyes, "Well, then. Why did you not say anything about it?"

"Because it was entertaining. Come, let me teach you, melin," she offered her hand and Eomer took it. They stood and left the Meduseld to contemplate the events that had occurred and learn a thing or two about their history and faith.

Dimitri was well on his way south. It took weeks of riding. He passed hundreds of settlements from Aldburg in the Eastfold to the Dreudain encampments in the Ered Nimrais through the forests of Anorien until he reached Minas Tirith. He might be late. No, he was definitely late...

"Miriel. That was the name my father gave me." The redhaired woman said to Cardiloc. She was near his age, maybe younger, maybe older. Either way she seemed adamant about coming along.

"That shall be done." Bard II said. "Come out. You need not hide," The King spoke loudly and around the room, in the library a couple guards appeared. "Listor, you heard everything. Spread the word. We shall rally our forces and prepare them for the coming war. The First Dark Lord has returned. We shall rally Rhovanion and head south to Gondor. Send for Luincrist. Damn it, the fool must be in the Arrow Hall. Fetch him and send him to Gondor as my personal ambassador. Erland, you will go too. Arrange everything. GO!"

The guard named Listor left the library through the back door.

"Alright, explain to me the Karoltai. What can you do? Specifica-"

Two figures appeared inside the gallery as if out of thin air just as Iver and Erland embraced one another. One was a tall raven-haired woman, the other a young boy, maybe a teenager, he had some sort of mutation on his face, his skin was cracked and thick.

"Hello, gentleman. Fancy meeting you here." The woman said whilst her partner took out a knife, brandishing it.

The halfling was notoriously nosy and would not allow such an important reunion to be conducted without him. He followed Celeborn to the council, uncharacteristically silent.

"By Durin" Thoruk says looking at the two figures that just popped up. "What kinda clowns will be sent after us next? We get chased by a kid..." he says, holding back his laughing as he puts his helmet on and readies his lightning.

"I'll get some sleep then, night." He headed to an empty room and collapsed on the bed. Though not without looking for something to shave that ridiculous sausage moustache off.

In the morning Cardiloc left the city with his companions after having breakfast. "So uh where exactly is Minas Tirith, don't you think we should warn a few more people?" He asked Miriel as they walked. 12253360

Fifteen minutes later.

Daugo was seated amongst a dozen of the elves, next to Celeborn along with a couple of Gondorians who seemed to be nobles and significant figures. Their long table was modest and was like any long table at a grand hobbit gathering. Nearly thirty officials crowded it. The King of Gondor sat at the end with his beautiful wife whilst Celeborn sat at the opposite end. It started with Celeborn narrating the events of the past month. The arrival of the shifters, the invasion of Maiar, the battle at Rivendell, the story of the island, the events of the first age, the Dagor Dagorath and its warnings and visions of doom for all Arda, and the implications this had for all the Children of Illuvitar, and especially the Free Peoples.

"This is Daugo Burgins. A hobbit of Bree-land who has become one of the Karoltai or Giants. He had no choice, like his fellow associates, in his choices or in the release of Morgoth. This threat is a danger to Arda, the world as we know it. And I beseech you, Aragorn, to place your resources in our hands. We must unite the Free Peoples against this threat before it can fester and destroy it." Suprisingly, Celeborn's speech was well received by many of those in the council. They were all well-educated individuals and saw reason from madness. Furthermore, Arwen confirmed Celeborn's knowledge and aided in influencing the King. At the end one question was raised by Aragorn.

"Master Daugo Burgins, what can you do to help us?"

Cardiloc found a shaving knife in the Lord's toilet. Though he shouldn't have been snooping around there. Miriel caught him, helped him smuggle it back to his room in the morning for him to use. He cut himself a couple times but the deed was done. He looked less barbaric.

"Minas Tirith is directly east. We just need to keep following the mountains. And don't worry about warning people. My father sent two dozen riders out last night." She had dark circles under her eyes from the lack of sleep.
