VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Dimitri passed underneath the causeway forts of the Rammas Echor and past the Pellenor townships and through the great gate of Minas Tirith. He saw the first level and all his days of travel alone ended at that moment. He was swamped by people, traders, merchants, all seeking his attention.

"Buy five, get none free!" One of them shouted holding up a couple cheap necklaces.
"Silk tunics! Silk tunics for only twenty silvers!"
"Black peppers and corn from Anfalas!"

Dimitiri saw many huge stables and paddocks where he could leave his horse. It was clear that riding up to the higher levels was nearly impossible with the traffic.

She giggled and ruffled his feathers before he jumped out. She ran over to him and put one of his arms behind her neck and tried to carry Card's huge body all by herself. Miriel took his other arm and smirked, "Are you going to do this every time you become an eagle?" she japed.

"Where to Card?" Ela asked, struggling to hold him up.

King Bard II gurgled blood as he tried to breath, he looked up and saw a human of titanic proportions, his eyes fell to his own body and noticed the rock crushing his chest. He moved his hand to push it, heaved and fell back. It was useless. Was this how he would die? What of his son, Bran? What of his wife, Annes? What of his brother, Luincrist? Was this the end? He tried again, pushing the rock before his hands went limp. The end...his eyes slowly shut.

Little shit. 'Capture the Flyer and the Elemental' she said. 'It would be easy' she said. Damn it. The boy thought as his ears hang from the Flyer's screams. He was getting away.

The Armoured Giant watched Iver fly towards the hilly plains between Dale and Erebor and reluctantly jumped down the cliff, landing with a mighty THUD. He started to walk, then paused. Iver saw something occur. The armour around the back of his feet broke and he started to walk again. Faster, then started to run. He was becoming fast. Too fast. Running directly at Iver!

Across Dale, bells were ringing and soldiers began to run to the King's Palace. Marco was in the middle of intercourse when he heard the bells. The woman ended it and he was shown out of the Arrow Hall. What was happening? Did Iver fuck something up again? He thought, walking out of the brothel and looking around. He saw the King's Palace at end of Dale and the humungous hole at its rear.
"What the fack." Damn it, Iver.

Marco ran to the walls and saw dozens of men arrayed about watching what was happening. There was a Giant on the field. But not like any he had seen. It had weird plating on it.

"Sir, should we engage the beast?" He overheard some of the guards speaking to one another.
"No. We don't have any idea what that thing is. Prepare archers and signal ballista to target it. I want wind lances on it as well, just in case it returns. Otherwise, hold out."
"Yes, sir."

Marco witnessed the strange Giant begin to charge at something in the distance. A Bat? Iver?!
"Fack me." Marco grimaced and turned around to find a horse.

Daugo felt oddly disturbed by the vision of lightning on the East, especially since the day had not been hinting at thunderstorms before. He frowned for a moment, but then the vision passed, and the threat faded back into the not-so-far-indeed distance. All the more reason to prepare.

"I'm sorry, Master Celeborn, I should've thought about it before. It just hadn't occurred to me until... well, until we were here, where we can actually see the Land of Shadow. I'll go to the Barracks then, but I would love to train with one of you someday as well," he said before setting off to find out where the Citadel Barracks were, still a little unsettled by the vision of lightning.

Oh shit, Iver flew faster and faster, passing thoruk in a way that a straight line was created between him, Thoruk and the armoured death train.

The building was large but far behind the Hall of Feasts and built into the Ered Nimrais. Daugo saw two men standing guard and they both broke attention when he came within reach.

"Halt. What does thy seek?" The one on the left broke the silence.

DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH

The ground shook as the Armoured Giant charged Iver, picking up more speed at a rate that was alarming. The thing was nearly over the hill and going straight for Erebor. It passed Thoruk, going too quick for him to even react. Iver was leading it towards Erebor!

"Uh inside that city, speak with the leader of the settlement." The Dunlending spoke with effort to the others, his expression strained. He, with their help, began to walk towards the city gates.

Iver made a sharp turn right and start flying higher and higher. That bastard was closing the distance way faster than he should have.

Ha'zi would obviously take the lead while the others helped Cardiloc along. Edhellond was very different from Langstrand. The houses were a mixture of stone and brick, there was a dockyard that was well-maintained and many people walked the streets. Strangely enough, there were pointy-eared elves that made up the majority of the folk and some Gondorians as well.

There was a castle as well, obviously they could start there.

"Hey, Cardiloc, could you get Ha'zi to help you, I'll speak with those men," Miriel motioned to a couple of guards that sat near the castle gate. She stopped supporting him, leaving his arm to dangle and straightened up her posture as she walked over to the guards.

"Hello, good sirs. I am the daughter of Lord Langstrand and have urgent news from the west for the Lord of Edhellond. Please, allow my friends and I through." They guards looked at each other and for a second Miriel thought they would laugh but they stepped aside, "Walk to the keep and speak with the steward. He will notify the Lord." One of them spoke.

Miriel entered under the gate to the castle and called to Ha'zi, "Along we go."

--------

The Armoured Giant began to slow as he saw Iver flying out of reach. Damn it! How the hell would he get him down? Unless...no, he didn't want to. But now he had to.

Sigeric woke up in Iver's arms. His body was in absolute agony and the metal rod that pierced his chest was gone, his body was healing but the wounds were still there. He heard fewer voices now. Berra's was gone and he saw into Iver's mind, accidentally, viewing his rage, his pain, his anger. It was when he looked down that vertigo kicked in. He was fourty meters up in the air, freezing in the cold winds, with Iver's claws being the only thing between him and sudden death.

Iver saw the Armoured Giant cock his head up to the sky, look back down and stare at Erebor which lay in front of him. He saw the thing get into a crouched position, its muscular legs cracking off armor to allow it to sprint. It looked directly at Erebor...

"You idiot" Thoruk shouts towards Iver. "You fuck won't hurt anyone in there." Thoruk shouts in anger. "They need me." he says to himself, calming down, taking deep breaths. "If you even think about touching that mountain you're dead." a voice suddenly comes out of Thoruk. "What was that." he asks himself. "No one will ever bother our kin, lad." the voice says. Thoruk recognizes the voice, it's his grandfathers. "You're right" Thoruk says, slamming his fist into the ground. "I'm to soft with him cause he's a child. But that's over now." he says, rising up, his eyes blazing with the fire of his ancestors. He bites himself into the tongue since he has no sword and concentrates on his transformation. Thinking about his kin, his king and his father, he would not fail. "I won't lose him again" Thoruk grumbles.

WHOOOSH

Before the Armoured Giant began his charge he heard the transformation blast come from behind him. He slowly stood and turned to see the Elemental Giant. Finally. That got his attention. The boy thought. Too bad he choose the hard way. Guess I am going to have to charge anyway. He buckled his legs, placed his feet, arms at the ready and took off, stampeding towards Thoruk.

Dirt and rocks flew up as the Armoured Giant charged. A wall of armor was charging him with frightening speed, closing the gap between the two. It was fast. Incredibly fast and it would soon be upon Thoruk.

DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH DUSH

As Miriel went to go to talk to the guards Ha'zi would go to take her position in supporting Card. When she finished and told them to follow he would start to help him while, as he did so he would ask "Do you think the others have made it to Gondor?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damn, now this was exilerating! Sucking in a deep breath Pyrus would place both palms on the floor and clear his mind of everything but his power. Taking in another deep breath he surged his magic into the ground, spreading it far and wide, grasping ores big and small, weapons, anything that was needed. He grasped with his magic and bid it to rise.

"Ah. You are the 'Burgins' he spoke of?" The Citadel Guard asked Daugo in a monotonous tone.

13527980

-------

"Others? You mean like that Iver and Thoruk you told me about? And the short one? What'd ya call him? You said I was taller than him, right?" Ela piped up at Ha'zi's question.

------

GRRRRRRRR

The very Earth began to groan as more cracks appeared in the dirt and the first of the metals began to surface, slowly finding their way to Pyrus as if he were a magnet. Swords, flints, broken spearheads and weapon shards slowly crawled out of the cracks and flew towards Pyrus, building up in a pile of metal scraps.

"Deeper, Pyrus. More!" Morgoth egged him on. The crowd of Maia were also exhibiting their own powers. The drakes and dragons prowling about and taking flight; the water spirits raising deep pools to the surface of Mordor, they were, assumedly Maiar of Ulmo; the fire spirits, flying about with jets of flame exhaust, Maiar of Vana and Varda; the wind spirits, who were Maiar of Manwe, were flying about and forming clouds of rain which added water to the dried lands, they did this away from the gathering in order not to disturb Morgoth; the ice spirits trying out their abilities on the rain and turning it to snow; the worker Maia like Azura and Pyrus began to discover their own powers: the Maiar of Yavanna and Vana began to raise trees and vegetation, growing Mordor into a beautiful garden; those of Orome aided in this by expediting the floral growth; Maiar of Ulmo created rivers from the Ash Mountains; Aule's Maiar, like Pyrus, showed to have control over the ground and its elements, raising stone and rock; those who followed Este, Vaire and Nienna tapped into mental powers, supplementing and augmenting their brothers and sisters, bringing peace to their minds. Pyrus felt this peace. He felt free. Prosperous. He felt, finally, as if he had found a family.

15756962

"And you-" The Guard paused staring at him, "You want to be trained in combat? You?" His friend tried not to laugh but a smile passed over his face.

13527980

"Yes, his name is Daugo and he's a hobbit, then you know me, Card, Iver, and Thoruk, but we also have Sigeric, Grimnir, and Dimitri."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pyrus felt at peace, the "chaos" around him just proved to him that he was home, maybe not at Mordor specifically, but with the new Maiar of Morgoth? For sure. Grinding his teeth he sent his magic even deeper, as far as he could, even to the very bowels of Arda. As his magic gripped the ores he would temporarily pause the pulling to the surface to think to himself/magic/ores "You. are.Mine" and then with his mental eye pulling up the metals hard and fast as if he was pulling a rope.

"Who's Grimier?" Ela asked.

----------

The ground erupted around Pyrus and metals began to fly out of the earth in a tornado of iron, nickel, lead, copper, silver, tin and zinc. Thousands of metallic pieces surrounded Pyrus and he began to see a fraction of what he could achieve.

15756962

Daugo was equally amused. "Anyone would be hard-pressed to make a skilled warrior out of me, but whatever they can do will give the world a slightly better chance of not ending. So I recommend you get over the hilarity of the situation and let me get started."

"Fair enough, Mister Burgins." The Citadel Guard said opening the doors and leading the hobbit through a couple of rooms until they reached an empty one with polished wooden floors which was completely devoid of any furniture.

"Wait here please." He left the Hobbit and another man entered. He was tall and of the typical Gondorian make with dark hair and fair skin. He stood in front of the hobbit and uttered two words, "Hit me." He was completely unarmored and wearing casual clothes. A black tunic and complimentary black pants, no robes.

13527980

---------

They entered the keep and Miriel walked up to an elf seated at the chairs of the Keep.

"What do you seek?" He asked them all. Miriel turned to Ha'zi and Cardiloc for them to speak.
