VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

As both Dalish brothers read, the sun began to descend from the sky and three hours passed as they ventured into the depths of these treasure troves of knowledge.

Iver found that the, 'Legends and Myths of Arda' had much basic knowledge on the Valar. He finally began to learn. Eru Illuvitar was the omnipotent, absolute lord of Ea, creation. And he apparently resided in a place called the 'Timeless Halls' which lay outside of Arda. Meanwhilst the Valar lived in Valinor. There were many cities there. Valimar was the capital and where most of the Valar, but not all, remained. Manwe was their King and Varda, his wife, was their Queen; there were Aule and Yavanna, the Valars of the Earth and Vegetation; then Ulmo, the Vala of the Sea; Mandos and Vaire, Valar of prophecies and time; Lorien and Este, Valar of mind, soul and body; Nienna, the Valie of sorrow; Orome Aldaron and Vana, the Valar of the hunt, forests and flowers, respectfully, they had an apparent daughter called Nieliqui; then there was Tulkas Astaldo and Nessa, the Valar of Might and of Speed, respectfully, who had a son named Telimektar; there was an entire page dedicated to each of the Valar but two pages at the start had been blackened over by what seemed to be flame and burnt to a crisp. There was no mention of the Vala Melkor or the name Morgoth throughout what Iver had read. He did, however, find something much more interesting.

There was a section in the book detailed the 'Evil'. It revealed that before Illuvitar created Ea, before the Song that brought the universe into existence, the allfather, Eru Illuvitar and his Aratar fought against something only called the 'evil' and defeated it. This evil became the prison known as the void and was spread thin across the universe by the Eru's most powerful Vala Melko the name was scribbled out. After this the song began and life was brought into the dark cold void.

For Sigeric it was different. He read much on the Fall of Gondolin, the Tale of Hurin, the War of Wrath, Ancalagon the Black, the Heroism of the Noldor, including the sacrifices of Glorfindel, Ecthelion of the Fountain, Fingon, Aegnor and Angrod, and of course, Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor; the deeds of Earendil the Mariner, the hardships of Turin Tarambar, the marring of the Easterlings and Haradrim by Morgoth, the Balrogs of Morgoth and their Lord, Gothmog; and ultimately the second prophecy of Mandos.

It stated that Mandos foresaw that his brother, Melkor, most powerful of the Valar, he who arises in Might, shall escape from the Void, recreate his fallen allies like the Balrogs, dragons and Ainur servants, and destroy the most beloved of creations: the Sun and the Moon. Darkness shall taint the land and Earendil shall come down from the stars and meet Eonwe, Tulkas and Turin Tarambar on the plains of Valinor where the final battle, the battle to end all battles shall be fought. All Children of Illuvitar shall participate in this battle and it shall be by the hand of Turin, with the blade Gurthang, that Morgoth will be slain. Turin will stab the blade into Morgoth's heart whilst he is wrestled by Tulkas Astaldo, the Mighty, the Champion, the Indomitable.

Thoruk found the Pellennor Fields to be filled with townships and peoples. It was too crowded here. He would have to journey north, beyond the walls of the Rammas Echor to find any forests.

"Oh," Miriel lowered her eyes, "I am sorry." She apologized out of sympathy and stopped walking. "Hey, Ha'zi, do you mind if we sit down and maybe just talk? Walking is a pain for my legs and I'm not a very sociable person. I'd rather not be caught in the crowds and get lost."

Searching through the memories of the previous Behemoth Shifter, Daugo found something interesting. There was a moment when Andreth transformed on the island in order to fight off a pack of full grown Crocolions. He had done so around his friends without killing them.

---

Andreth took a deep breath and slit his wrist. There was a blast but not the fiery inferno. He focused on them. Berra, Irdis, Keldar, Ilian, even damn Osman and Gormas. They needed him and he couldn't fail them. By transforming next to all of them he had warped them into a pocket inside the Behemoth's nape. A wide opening inside the neck able to squeeze in all seven of them. Below him his Giant feet sunk into the beach and he saw the Crocolions retreating back into the sea in vain. Just the sight of his Giant struck fear into the hearts of those damned savages. He opened his eyes inside the nape and saw his friends slowly getting back up and adjusting. They had all been saved by him for the moment. Now to get down. Andreth focused on reversing the transformation process and in five seconds he was back on the beach, his friends around him and the Behemoth's colossal body had disappeared. Literally evaporated into thin air. Perhaps the flames had burnt through it completely? Bone and marrow? It did not matter. He concentrated on what was important to him. His family. Them.

---

The memory ended.

"Na, laddie, that's all on ye, enjoy Tulkas raping ye, tho!" Gormas yelled loudly from a far away place in Dimitri's mind. Useless bastard.

His hands on the other hand (hur hur), were slowly changing again. Now turning to the colour of the iron on his warhammer. The process was slightly painful, tingling and energy consuming. He felt significantly more tired from it. How was he even doing this? Or was it not him?

8861015

Dimitri tried to force it to end in a similar way as his transformation, he thought of his purpose, which he believed was to fight in the name of Tulkas. He takes a seat against a pillar, and tries to get it to end.

After two minutes, the iron receded and his flesh was normal again. Or, as normal as it could be. Dimitri found his energy again and sweat coated to his back.

8861015

"Hey, no need to apologize... it's just stuff in the past." Ha'zi smiled sadly. He was just about to apologize himself for being so talkative, but I guess now wasn't the time. "Oh, s-sure. It is a bit busy here." 12253360

"Yeah, you wanna head to the Rusty Pipe?" She asked, laughing at the name of the bar.

16315828

"Wow. I see," he muttered, finally understanding what had happened with the Behemoth on the island. He vaguely wondered how many people he could fit inside the Giant. Ten? Twenty? A thousand??

Probably not, but it would be good to know.

Sighing, he returned to the barracks, and searched for someone to practice his still-pitiful fighting skills, preferrably someone he knew.

The small chamber inside the nape was able to fit a dozen but even that was crowding it. As Daugo walked through the barracks he saw the door to a room open and noticed Dimitri inside, his warhammer nearby and his back covered in sweat. The man seemed to be breathing in heavily by all the noise he was making and staring at his hand....

Dimitri's fingers began to glint and shine as iron formed over the tips and slowly began to spread across his hand.

13527980 8861015

"Hm, you sure we are allowed in there? They probably see us as little kids, plus I'm not sure how welcoming a place called "The Rusty Pipe" is." Ha'zi grins. 12253360

The iron did not recede for a few moments but began to immaterialize afterward, leaving behind only the skin. Dimitri felt he was being watched.

From Daugo's viewpoint through the door, he noticed Dimitri doing something rather queer with his fingers. Was this the Forochelrim's fetish?

-------

Miriel laughed, "Well, I do suppose that is true, but I'm a grown Lady, Mister Ha'zi! How dare you think of me as a child?" She joked, "Fine, your choice. Either we try the 'Rusty Pipe' or you find us someplace. Deal?" She raised her crimson eyebrows at him.

16315828

"Well then, Mister Ha'zi accepts this deal. Let's go then to the Rusty Pipe." He walks with her to the entrance of the bar, and holds the door open for her, then says in a sarcastic voice, "After you, Lady Miriel." 12253360

That was weird, Iver never knew that Eru had an enemy. He also learned that the void, the prison morgoth was in, was infact alive and evil. "Or this is all some bullshit and you are wasting your time based on a book you found in a house of a guy named THE FCKING TRICKSTER" Iver said to himself quitly. What was wrong with him, next thing he will take the word of a kid to be truth.
He passed angrily to the second book, which for his taste, was much better.
He started reading the second more interesting book about carts.

Miriel smirked and pushed Ha'zi into the bar, instead. "You first, Mister Ha'zi. Aren't you supposed to be in charge?"

The Rusty Pipe had wooden bar tables, fancy carven mahogany stools, a couple of ordinary wooden roundtables arrayed about with stylistic mahogany chairs with leather bindings on the armrests. There was a musician playing the flute on a mezzanine within the bar itself and the place was rather full of people. Most were typical dark-haired Gondorians but there were a few blondes, brunettes, and even a ginger. Ha'zi saw most of the tables were occupied but there were available bar stools and a few areas in the back that were unoccupied.

16315828

----------

Whilst Iver was analyzing the method to create a rotating, rapid-fire scorpion to a cart, a strange whisp in the air disturbed him. If he put down the book he'd see a familiar face staring back at him. Inside the Barracks room, the Trickster had materialized out of thin air on the single chair that idled next to the isolated table which Iver had left some of his weapons on. To Iver's left side was the bedrest which held the wooden arrow.

"Tsk, tsk,"The Trickster said, alerting him.

14628767

"Heh, alright." Ha'zi waltzes into the bar and takes in the scenery. He was slightly irked by the amount of people in the bar, but was otherwise surprised at the good quality of the place.

"I think we should sit in the back, any objections?" He asked to Miriel. 12253360

"None, good sir," Miriel slid her arm along his as if they were lord and lady, "Lead the way, your grace." Ha'zi saw she was having a difficult time not laughing.

16315828

----------

"Eh," The Trickster scratched his ear, "You should really start being mannered. I'm a mere guest. No drinks? No food? Where's the hospitality, Iver? I mean sure, you tried to kill me and your half-brother also tried but we're all good friends aren't we?" The mention of Sigeric brought back memories of Erland.

14628767

"Ya......." Iver said as the memories of his dead father knocked em for a little before they reminded him something else. "Thanks for the help at Laketown by the way" He added. "I never thought you are into helping people, i mean not after you sent a group of slavers to hunt us down and later rape Hazi" Iver said.

The Trickster smirked and snickered at that comment, "You know..." he mused, twisting one of his silky tawny locks, "I used to help people. But those days are long gone." He looked down at the floor for a second, his smile disappearing before he straightened up and spoke, "You're welcome. And I wasn't the one to do that. I am sorry about the issue with Ha'zi, though. I got carried away. Let him know, that he has my deepest apologies, though, don't tell the others I'm alive. Otherwise, Dimitri would jerk off his warhammer and Sigeric would replace all weapons in his arsenal with wood. Imagine that? A wooden halberd? How impractical." The Trickster laughed at the notion.

"Now, I have to take that." He pointed to the book titled 'Myths and Legends of Arda'. "You can keep the one from Telchar, I have no use for it,"
