As both Dalish brothers read, the sun began to descend from the sky and three hours passed as they ventured into the depths of these treasure troves of knowledge.
Iver found that the, 'Legends and Myths of Arda' had much basic knowledge on the Valar. He finally began to learn. Eru Illuvitar was the omnipotent, absolute lord of Ea, creation. And he apparently resided in a place called the 'Timeless Halls' which lay outside of Arda. Meanwhilst the Valar lived in Valinor. There were many cities there. Valimar was the capital and where most of the Valar, but not all, remained. Manwe was their King and Varda, his wife, was their Queen; there were Aule and Yavanna, the Valars of the Earth and Vegetation; then Ulmo, the Vala of the Sea; Mandos and Vaire, Valar of prophecies and time; Lorien and Este, Valar of mind, soul and body; Nienna, the Valie of sorrow; Orome Aldaron and Vana, the Valar of the hunt, forests and flowers, respectfully, they had an apparent daughter called Nieliqui; then there was Tulkas Astaldo and Nessa, the Valar of Might and of Speed, respectfully, who had a son named Telimektar; there was an entire page dedicated to each of the Valar but two pages at the start had been blackened over by what seemed to be flame and burnt to a crisp. There was no mention of the Vala Melkor or the name Morgoth throughout what Iver had read. He did, however, find something much more interesting.
There was a section in the book detailed the 'Evil'. It revealed that before Illuvitar created Ea, before the Song that brought the universe into existence, the allfather, Eru Illuvitar and his Aratar fought against something only called the 'evil' and defeated it. This evil became the prison known as the void and was spread thin across the universe by the Eru's most powerful ValaMelko the name was scribbled out. After this the song began and life was brought into the dark cold void.

For Sigeric it was different. He read much on the Fall of Gondolin, the Tale of Hurin, the War of Wrath, Ancalagon the Black, the Heroism of the Noldor, including the sacrifices of Glorfindel, Ecthelion of the Fountain, Fingon, Aegnor and Angrod, and of course, Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor; the deeds of Earendil the Mariner, the hardships of Turin Tarambar, the marring of the Easterlings and Haradrim by Morgoth, the Balrogs of Morgoth and their Lord, Gothmog; and ultimately the second prophecy of Mandos.
It stated that Mandos foresaw that his brother, Melkor, most powerful of the Valar, he who arises in Might, shall escape from the Void, recreate his fallen allies like the Balrogs, dragons and Ainur servants, and destroy the most beloved of creations: the Sun and the Moon. Darkness shall taint the land and Earendil shall come down from the stars and meet Eonwe, Tulkas and Turin Tarambar on the plains of Valinor where the final battle, the battle to end all battles shall be fought. All Children of Illuvitar shall participate in this battle and it shall be by the hand of Turin, with the blade Gurthang, that Morgoth will be slain. Turin will stab the blade into Morgoth's heart whilst he is wrestled by Tulkas Astaldo, the Mighty, the Champion, the Indomitable.

"Oh," Miriel lowered her eyes, "I am sorry." She apologized out of sympathy and stopped walking. "Hey, Ha'zi, do you mind if we sit down and maybe just talk? Walking is a pain for my legs and I'm not a very sociable person. I'd rather not be caught in the crowds and get lost."

Searching through the memories of the previous Behemoth Shifter, Daugo found something interesting. There was a moment when Andreth transformed on the island in order to fight off a pack of full grown Crocolions. He had done so around his friends without killing them.
---
Andreth took a deep breath and slit his wrist. There was a blast but not the fiery inferno. He focused on them. Berra, Irdis, Keldar, Ilian, even damn Osman and Gormas. They needed him and he couldn't fail them. By transforming next to all of them he had warped them into a pocket inside the Behemoth's nape. A wide opening inside the neck able to squeeze in all seven of them. Below him his Giant feet sunk into the beach and he saw the Crocolions retreating back into the sea in vain. Just the sight of his Giant struck fear into the hearts of those damned savages. He opened his eyes inside the nape and saw his friends slowly getting back up and adjusting. They had all been saved by him for the moment. Now to get down. Andreth focused on reversing the transformation process and in five seconds he was back on the beach, his friends around him and the Behemoth's colossal body had disappeared. Literally evaporated into thin air. Perhaps the flames had burnt through it completely? Bone and marrow? It did not matter. He concentrated on what was important to him. His family. Them.

The memory ended.

"Na, laddie, that's all on ye, enjoy Tulkas raping ye, tho!" Gormas yelled loudly from a far away place in Dimitri's mind. Useless bastard.
His hands on the other hand (hur hur), were slowly changing again. Now turning to the colour of the iron on his warhammer. The process was slightly painful, tingling and energy consuming. He felt significantly more tired from it. How was he even doing this? Or was it not him?
