VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

It started off as a slow whoosh and as he directed his hands towards the tree, a roaring BOOOOOM sounded as the shock of the wind destroyed the entire tree. His hands cracked and began to bleed, his arms went sore from an unknown pain and he lost feeling in his fingers.

A voice appeared in Thoruk's head.
"Just stop, kid. You're using your power at 100% and your body can't handle that kind of force."

Sigeric remembered that he had seen the higher-ranking Elves travel towards the barracks on the seventh level of the city. He continued walking toward his destination, hoping that he had clearance to enter the Citadel.

No one stopped Sigeric. The Citadel Guards noticed him from before, as was their duty, and allowed him passage through the Citadel-gate. He emerged from the tunnel into the setting sun at the top of the Citadel. His eye was caught by the White Tree of the Reunited Kingdom with the glowering orange sun at the backdrop, falling beneath the Ash Mountains of Mordor. It was one of the most spectacular scenes Sigeric had ever witnessed in his life.

Looking at his bleeding hands and at the destroyed tree he's not sure if he should be shoked or happy that it worked. In an instant he reacts to his bleeding hands and holds back his giant transformation and instead uses his power to heal them. "Who was that?" he asks as he gets up from the soft ground while looking at the leafs of the destroyed tree flying around. "That wasn't even 50 % of my power" he say, selfish. "Or was it?" he asks as he waits for the voice to answer, thinking that it was his grandfather.

Ha'zi stifled a laugh then tried to maintain his demeanor and faced the barkeep, "I'll have what she's having." 12253360

"Good, I want you to pull a metallic object from him and bring it back here. I want you to catch it then to send it into my hand." Mairon said to Pyrus.

---------

"What do you mean, why?" The Trickster said, smiling to himself as his fingers interlocked a piece of his hair.

-------

The voice was very distinct from his grandfather. It was feminine and spoke again, "You are using it at a hundred percent. Your body isn't used to this power. You need to slow down. You're either doing it at 100% or 0%. Try to use only 1% after your arms heal. Otherwise, you might kill both of us," It was clear who was speaking to him now. The previous Elemental Shifter. Irdis.

-------

The barkeep walked off without another word. Awkward silence passed between them and Ha'zi began to sweat. Why was she staring at him like that? Did he have something on his face? Was he visibly sweating?

"I'm curious," she broke the silence, "Who were you before the island?"

He would nod and go back to the form of the man, using his magic he would have it snake up the horses leg and grasp the saber, willing it to come back to him. As he did this he outstretched his left arm waiting for the saber to come to him.

Ha'zi had been looking around nervously, not knowing what he should say to her. Goof off more? Ask her something? Then, an idea came to him, "Hey, Keldar, could you help me with-"

Ha'zi's thought was interrupted by Miriel's question, and he looked at her, confused. "Uh, what do you mean by that?"

Sigeric took in the sight, once again in awe at the splendor of the ancient city. Surely, the work of the Numenoreans formed the apex of human achievement. He looked east, towards the Mountains of Shadow, contemplating what lay beyond. The towering peaks appeared oppressively close. How had the Gondorians lived their day-to-day lives in the shadow of Sauron's domain? Sigeric focused his attention to the task at hand, and walked towards the Citadel barracks.

One minute passed in silence as the wind blew. Then a sharp ZING was heard as a saber flew into Pyrus' hand. His fingers gripped around the saber's hilt as Mairon watched him with admiration.

"Well done, Pyrus." He clapped. "Send it to me now, try and direct its movements so the blade perfectly fits into my hand."

"I mean," she paused to deliberate, waving a finger through the air, "You were someone before being sold into slavery. You had a life, a family, hobbies, what happened to all that?"

16315828

--------

Sigeric saw a couple Citadel Guards conversing with Noldorin Soldiers inside in a wide public room. The doorway was left open and he noticed that Lord Celeborn was not among them.

The Trickster sighed and laid back, "I will eventually tell you, Iver. You and me. We're both the same. I used to be like you." his eyes darkened and Iver saw something unexpected. In the candlelight two dark shadows formed behind the Trickster, two shadowy wings.

"I am doing this because we're the same. Because this is the way the game was meant to be played. Because this is the way I was made. Because I have to guide you and help you on your path but I can't get involved. Otherwise..." he quieted, "I've said too much. Good bye, Iver." The Trickster snapped his fingers, the candle flickered off and he disappeared in the momentary darkness before it re-lit itself.

As he recognizes the voice from his dream in rivendell. "Wait, you are Ardis, or Irdas? Sorry, not realy good when it comes to names" he says, yet a bit confused. "Since when can you speak to me? And why haven't you done it before? Can you hear everything I"m thinking?" a few questions go through his mind as he speaks all of them out. "But the important thing is: How exactly should I use 1 % of my power? You seem to have an idea, do you?" he asks, as kindly as he could.

He gulped and struggled to begin, "Well, um, uh, my family got poorer. The relatives that could help us either died or chose not to. I wasn't really able to do anything besides help out, really." 12253360

"We are not the same" Iver said as the trickster left, "I dont enjoy watching little kids being raped" He added quietly before sitting there for a moment, thinking about what he both the trickster and the book revealed to him.

Pyrus would concentrate on having the blade slowly float into the air, balancing it between drawing it to him and sending it flying away. Once doing that he would look at Mairons hand and do some calculations in his mind and rotate it in air to how it could fit his hand, then he would send it floating to him.

"That son-of-a-bitch is doing his best to make amends with me," he thought with a scowl as he left Dimitri's room. Fucking asshole. Any respect that Daugo might have had towards the Forochelrim was long-gone. He remembered the sense of camaraderie and even admiration he'd felt for him back when Aldamos was attacked, or even before, on the slaver ship, when he'd sacrificed himself so that the others didn't taste the Whipper's wrath so soon... Strange times.

Bored and in a bad mood, he wobbled around the barracks, searching for his room.

The voice answered back, "I am Irdis. The one you killed on Aldamos. But I forgive you. I realize you believed I was evil and after bringing down a lava shower on your friends' heads, I can recognize I was also in the wrong. And yes, I can hear both your thoughts and voice. You can speak to me through your consciousness. I don't know how you've obtained this ability but you're dealing with some high damage, Thoruk. You need to channel only a minimal current into your body. Don't use your arms or hands or anything major, choose a minor body part like a finger. You'll have to learn to expend 1%, which means controlling your damage. Keep using 100% in your fingers and you'll eventually lower the damage at the expense of those fingers. Remember not to use it too often as your fingers need to heal afterward, your hands are damaged right now. Try and use that power when you jump. Concentrate on using only your toes." she enlightened Thoruk.

"How old were you? Did you have any brothers or sisters? Did your mother pass away at a young age?" Miriel asked, placing her elbows on the table and resting her head on her hands, her green eyes looking at him intently. It felt as if she was staring through his soul, analyzing him. Her eyes were bright with intelligence, and something else, hidden in them.

16315828

-------

'We're the same,' The Trickster's voice had said, 'We're both the same.' It seemed to echo through Iver's mind. It was getting late and he was feeling tired. Perhaps sleep would do him good?

14628767

------

Mairon watched as it levitated into his hand, fitting him neatly.

"Pyrus, we can accomplish great things together," he said, twisting the blade around and offering it back to him.

"Together, with Melkor, and our brothers and sisters, we can recreate the world in our image. No more dirty Children of Iluvitar. None of their corrupt schmes. No more Valar controlling us. We can do it. So long as we keep Melkor alive." He said rather out of the blue before sitting down on the sandy dune and patting the course grains with his hand. It was strange how different Eonwe and Mairon were. They were identical twins but one was a robotic, cold, loyal soldier and the other was an intuitive, warm, friend. In Valinor Eonwe had been congratulated for his bravery and valor whilst Mairon was mocked as Gauroth and Sauron, the Abominable.

"May I speak with you, personally, Pyrus?" The Maia asked him. It was a genuine request, unlike Morgoth's orders which were absolute and unarguable. Pyrus could easily turn him down but for an odd reason, he felt he shouldn't. Still, the choice was his. Would he sit down and listen? Or refuse?

Daugo found a couple empty ones. Some had been locked or closed and he accidentally ended up walking in on Iver who was strangely sitting in the darkness of his room. Eventually, he found an empty one near Iver's with no items that indicated the room was occupied by another. The sun had set outside and many of the Gondorians were seen to be returning to their quarters.

Iver lost interest in the carts anyways, he decided going to sleep was the best idea for now. Maybe If the trickster will stop echoing in his head he will even be able to do so
