VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Miriel laid her back against a tree and looked up at the sky. Past the ferny evergreens she could see the stars. The wind had died down and when she spoke her words were clear.

"Ha'zi, I am going to be honest with you and blunt. I want you to be the same with me, okay." She cleared her throat.

"It was completely unfair of you to do that to me this morning. You barely know me. And I barely know you. Sure, we spent a good, no sorry, a great night together yesterday in Minas Tirith. But that doesn't mean you have the right or even the gall to say such a thing." She dropped it on him harder than Osman had dropped Lesier on the beach, twenty years ago.

She was harsh, blunt and to the point. Miriel had to be if she wanted the truth.

16315828

Miriel's words were like a punch to the gut, then said fictional assailant came back with a knife, plunged it into the already wounded area, twisted, and yanked it out.

He knew he was supposed to feel saddened or angry, but he just felt.... confused. Ha'zi wanted to talk with her sooner about it, but Miriel had acted like nothing had happened the whole day. Why hadn't she said something earlier?

Ha'zi internally groaned. Of course. She didn't want to talk about it in front of everyone like that. That's probably why she was acting unfazed the whole time.

Idiot, idiot. He shouldn't have opened up. He should have just enjoyed his time with her, acting as friends.
Now the dumb boy ruined everything.

Ha'zi sighed, and sat down on a log.
"I.. Miriel, I'm sorry. It was foolish of me, I know." He felt so useless there. There was nothing he could say now to repair the damage that had been done. It was too late. "I'm sorry."  12253360

”However,” Miriel said as he sat down, “I have the same feelings towards you. I don’t like to express myself much and as you can see,” she waved her hand around the empty woodlands, “I hold privacy in high regard.’’ She stepped forwards and sat down next to him, her hand falling upon his.

“Ha’zi, I am sorry for being misleading with you earlier. I just, I-I’m not a fan of emotions. But, I have to be honest with you...since I, you know,” she coughed it up, “Like you. I wouldn’t say I,” She coughed the word out, “Love.”

“I fancy you, a lot. Just, don’t go crazy or anything until you really know me. I want to be, ahem, with you. So, don’t spout out randomly in front of everyone that you’re in love with me because, firstly, that’s embarrassing to say aloud and secondly, I assume, you’ve never felt this way. So you can’t call it love since you don’t know it, you know?” Her hand tightened around his, “I’m glad we share feelings with each other, I just need you to calm down a bit, okay?” Ha’zi felt her squeeze his hand.

16315828

Ha'zi sighed, squeezing back. "Alright, Miriel. I will. I'm sorry for spouting out all this nonsense... I guess I should have thought about it more...." 12253360

Miriel kissed him then as he started to blabber and apologize.

Why was she doing this to him? He was one of the targets, but that didn’t mean she had to. Was this really all for her mission? She tried to think it was but knew, deep down, that it was a lie. She wasn’t manipulating Ha’zi about her feelings, no matter how much she tried to delude herself. Sadly, for her they were true. And if she succeeded? If she failed? What then? Could they even be together? Would Sauron allow it? Probably not. But even then, would Ha’zi want them to? After all she’d done. After everything. From the first day, five thousand years ago, when she killed her parents to her last day...she was still a murderer. But right now that didn’t matter. All that mattered was him.

Her fingers found their way into his hair and they toppled over the log and into the grass, their mouths assaulting one another in ways Ha’zi thought were impossible. The next thing he knew she had taken his hand, pulled him up and pushed him against a tree for more. And more came.

Thirty minutes later and five drinks heavier, Zaro thought he heard a scream. The elf was in his tent and had just finished writing the letter to his parents.

Ha'zi was taken aback by Miriel's sudden leap, but joined along with her in their romantic moment. The boy didn't know really what to do, with his heart pounding as everything seemed to go so fast, but he went along with it. He stopped for a second between kisses to mutter, "And I thought I was too straightforward..." before joining back into it. 12253360

Miriel laughed and continued to make him hers. Yes, this was all for the mission. She would just kiss him...but one thing led to another and now they were in his tent making love like there was no tomorrow. She had to pull most of the weight and truthfully, did not know what she was doing but she felt good and judging by Ha’zi’s expression, moans and groans and everything in between, it was more than clear he was enjoying it. Ha’zi and Miriel’s bodies were so pressed against one another that he couldn’t tell where his skin ended and hers began. Time flew but almost every second felt like an eternity for him. It was over after a while but she didn’t stop. Miriel kissed him from head to toe until the young man fell asleep and for once in his life he felt safe and secure.

As Zaro emerged from his own tent he saw most of the others were still eating dinner around the campfire or had begun to play a game of dice. The sound had come from behind his tent, near the forest...

16315828 13873166

As he walked around the corner he heard nothing. Then...

Crack.

A twig had been stepped on. In the darkness of the forest. The bushes covered his eyes. Someone or perhaps something was behind that wall of flora...

13873166

Zaro made a swift turn towards the flora and aimed his spear at it reading his dagger and called out “Reveal yourself, the one who roams the shadows.”

There was silence. Before he knew it he felt someone grab underneath his arms and tickle him.

13873166

He saw a young man standing behind him who began to laugh at the elf’s reaction.

“What’s wrong? Frightened of tickles?” The man joked.

Zaro clearly saw this as some merry jape, though it had disturbed his night he could also laugh at the fact a young Gondorian soldier had managed to sneak up and scare him. He really needed to be on his guard...

The others had their time to rest, eat and chat back at the campfire.

Dimitri and Elrohir were still conversing, Ha’zi and Miriel had left, Marco was drunkenly pitching business ideas to Daugo, it seemed the Gondorian couldn’t decide between a beer brewery or wine plant.Though the main discussion was on the feasibility of buying an orchard in Dorwinion compared to opening up a distillery somewhere in Gondor.

Sigeric, Iver, Thoruk and Cardiloc had their fill of meals. The road ahead was on their minds yet the alcohol, japes and casual talk diluted their thoughts.

"That doesn't sound like such a bad idea. Maybe get like 3 archers to join me and they will shoot from my back when I'm flying. However I must warn you, most of the time it's a bumpy ride and I can only catch 2 if they fall"
----------
After Hazi left Iver grabbed one of the bottles. He then hide it under his clothes and started roaming the camp. He was listening maybe he could hear someone playing a violin, which was his Target.

Zaro almost was swayed by the soldier until he realized something, the gondor soldier had came behind him. That means he had only just got there. The soldier couldn't have made that scream either... Zaro singled a motion to the soldier to be quiet and pointed to the bush. Zaro called one last time "We know your in there, come out!"

"Can we strap them to your back so they dont fall?" Zaro asked

Iver heard a couple instruments but not a single violin. Instead he heard a scream coming from his left behind one of the tents.

The bushes bristled as something emerged from them. A hairy, ugly, tusked boar squealed and rushed head first, bearing its sharpened tusks towards Zaro and the soldier.

”Good. Make sure not to expend them much. We need everyone ready whenever this attack arrives. According to my sources, they’ll be coming in three to five days unless the situation develops.” Marion told Pyrus. Pyrus’ two Maiar who had gone east had yet to arrive but they had enough time according to Mairon’s notice.

———-

Ha’zi dreamt of a white city. Minas Tirith. The capital of Gondor. He saw its great towers, its huge rocky outcrop, bisecting the city. He saw its people. It was as if he were there, floating above it all. He felt himself soaring through the sky like a bird, flying above the white tiled houses. Below him were caravans of goods, children playing in the streets, old men laughing as they played checkers and dice, women buying vegetables from the markets, nobles treating one another to afternoon tea. He saw the beauty and the magnificence of men.

Then he saw it all explode in a great flame. A huge fiery explosion much like the Behemoth’s rocked the lower levels of the city, sending rock and stone and bodies flying through the air. The damage was so awful it caused an earthquake and the great rock of Minas Tirith broke, fell and crashed through the third, second and first levels, adding to the obliteration of this monument.

It had all happened so quickly. When he looked again he saw a crater where the blast had come from. At its center was no Giant but instead a man. He couldn’t make out his face but the fellow seemed to be prostrating around the burning buildings and charred bodies. Ha’zi visibly saw no damage done to him but he was naked, his clothes and armaments having burnt off in the flame. Was that Daugo? Had the Behemoth transformed inside Minas Tirith? Ha’zi couldn’t see and just as he tried to get closer the dream ended, the scene fading into shadow.

”This is what shall happen should you fail in Mordor.” A voice spoke into his mind. It was unfamiliar to Ha’zi, yet he felt a strange similarity between it and another voice....the voice was similar to someone’s...he had heard it a long time ago...back on the island.....

16315828

Iver walked toward the source of the scream. Probably someone pranked his friend.
-------------------------

"I don't know"

Iver saw Zaro and some soldier behind the tent. They seemed to be...ugh...oh no...

They were touching each other, intimately. Or so, Iver saw. Next thing he knew Zaro was talking to a bush and a fatass hog came charging out at him.

14628767

Iver only carried his dagger, and he also carried his alcohol. "Fck" he said before placing the bottle on the ground and charging the hog with his dagger.
