Why not some smaller, tighter maps? It'd be good for when less people are on tbh. Didn't seem to see any on /maplist.

We are making maps linearI think the issue is just Minecraft as a whole. The game is dying less and less people play it everyday and most of the people who have stopped playing the game are the older players (because Minecraft is kinda a lame game in the eyes of the general public :0 #MakeMinecraftCool) which limits the player base on all servers and for a server like Empire War where the player base is more the heavily the older players of minecraft ei: 14-20 year olds. Mostly bc we deal with a more mature game mode compared to others and a more mature community with a more mature theme. If the current version of Empire War could get up to the numbers of V1 I think it would be just as good or better. We all miss the giant brawls the would happen when the gate of Erebor would smash, or when horses would fly down the slopes outside of Helms Deep and smash the Uruk-Hai, we miss the hail of arrows as archers slaughter the Orcs infant of Tirith only for a Nazgul to pick them up and throw them off. We miss the slow march forward as Goblins slowly pushed through waves of Dwarves to take Balin's Tomb, we miss when 30 people would peacefully drink beer in bars under the ramp of Helms Deep, or in the mountainside of Minas Morgul, the club of Minas Tirith. My suggestion for Empire War today is because of a lack of players make the maps more linear like Great Halls, we don't have the player base for run around cap maps like Laketown or Osigilith.
Fights get bigger and bigger as our population is growing.Thing I liked about old EW was how big fights got. We'd have large groups going against one another for a control point with USUALLY even ground. Make it more basic and straightforward combat around centered points, not more ways to sneak into places.
