A comment on the Staff 'Team'

So I made a thread about this ages ago. And about a month ago, I had hopes that perhaps the Staff Team was once again just that - a Team. But things have gone back down hill of late.

Lets take a look at this then! Remember that I count active as on every day (with some flexibility).

Arak: Inactive, on server occasionaly.
Farmer: As inactive as inactive can be.
Cookie: Basically Inactive.
Only_God: Was a little active a few weeks ago, but no where near the level needed.
Rikumaru: Seems to have literally just become active again.
Robwookie: Active, but not when on holiday (like he is right now).
Slime: Inactive

What have we learnt from this? Well aside from being a Staff Team, this is more of a Staff Couple.
I won't draw any other conclusions from this.... but I thought that someone should summarise it in such an abrupt way.
 
Call it a staff duo, couple has ship-like connotations ;3

Anyways, Tobz, with the amount of players we're getting lately, it doesn't seem desperately necessary for more to be active. Which isn't very encouraging. x.x

Well in a perfect world there would be a staff member on whenever there are players on. In a not so perfect world, like 1 staff per 20 people. We haven't even been getting that. Most days there is not one staff member on.
 
Only_God being inactive isn't really anything new. In fact, his rank as a staff member is more or less honorary at this point. This has nothing to do with the rest of the staff team, I just believe that he shouldn't be part of this list. After all, he has left the server http://www.empirewar.org/forums/m/5312442/viewthread/18865549-good-bye-onlygod.

Well yes he should be part of this list. He does moderate on occasion. You can't just say that because someone is inactive he is honourary.
The point of this thread was to point out that there are not, in fact, 7 moderators. There are two.

Well yes he should be part of this list. He does moderate on occasion. You can't just say that because someone is inactive he is honourary.

Silly Tobberz if you to the staff page you will clearly see 7 people under the mod title.
 
Previously, arguments have been said about Tim knowing the reasoning about why other players have turned inactive, everyone in the staff team knew that, but it doesn't matter very much. If one is inactive, I think, at least, the position should be vacated. If one is kept in the staff position during their inactivity, the only thing added by it is the fact that nobody else will fill their spot. I think that the staff team should be reformed, for the improvement of the server, even if it has a dry period.

Thats what tim tried to do, but the problem was. he didn't add enough active staff. perhaps he should add 4 pre-mods. Riku is the only staff I usually see on the server. and him only being able to moderate for 4 hours is a problem. Which is why we need more staff

Not enough staff? Ha. There is too much staff currently. Tim should have removed the inactive ones before adding more Pre-Mods.

I know, which is why I said he didn't add enough active staff. What I've got to say is that unless they can prove they can be active in the next week. Slime, Arak, Farmer, Cookie and Only should be demoted.

And I'm saying that he shoulda removed inactive staff before adding new staff. He kept them.
