VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"I mean, there's always Iver." He mutters before racing after her with a grin.
---------
"Sure, I'd just like to know what's in it if you don't mind. I've had it for a long time and can't make sense of what is in it."

((Time bubble.))

Celeborn turned around to notice Sigeric. Glorfindel also glanced back at the man before looking around for any others. He was alone. One of the Karoltai. Wasn't he? Yes. The one from Rivendell and in the briefing room. The Guardian was what he called himself.

"Hello there," Celeborn greeted Sigeric, extending his hand to shake the man, "I do not believe we had the courtesy of exchanging names. I am Celeborn of Lothlorien, and you are...?"

---

Miriel darted out of the Rusty Pipe, walking through its wooden doors and out into the night. The streets were always crowded in Minas Tirith, however, the crowds had lessened in density and Ha'zi saw her veer off to the right, moving up towards the sixth level causeway gate with unseen agility. Her slick form wading through the groups of people and disappearing.

-----

Glorfindel took the book and opened the first page. He began muttering to himself as he read the first lines, scrutinizing it.

"This is the Book of Vana. The Book of Vana. There is no other like it. A complete autobiography of the Valar. This holds untold value. It is more expensive than all the Mithril in Khazad-Dum. The amount of knowledge on flora, medicinal herbs, the knowledge on Valinor, of the woods of Orome, of the plants across Arda, everything. This is...overwhelming." Glorfindel shut it and looked at Ha'zi, "Where did you find this?"

Sigeric and the others could see something happening between Ha'zi and the two elves but were more concentrated on the arrival of Thoruk.

16315828

Sigeric reached out and shook Celeborn's hand. "I am Sigeric of Redhaven, the Guardian Shifter." He paused. "I have sought you out to discuss the Second Prophecy of Mandos."

As he sees the others still standing infront of the city's gates he stops running. "By Durin... I'm literally k.o" he takes deep and short breaths as if he would colapse in a matter of seconds. He holds his axe up and waves around as he stops to show the...Army of Gondorians? He eventually realised, even if it was a bit late, that a army had gathered and they seemed to wait for... him. "Oh fack." he says, heavily breathing, slowly walking towards the others, still some pains left.

He let out a low whistle as he saw her race by. Dang, she was fast. But Ha'zi was pretty used to through running in crowds.

He dashed after her, following her path.
-------------
Ha'zi's interest in the book was definitely peaked. The book of all the Valar? That would definitely be a good read.

He had some thought if he should tell him or not about the Trickster. Glorfindel might not believe the boy, saying it was his imagination. Yet, he believed all of this about Morgoth. Might as well tell him.

"Well, our party was imprisoned by this so-called cosmic entity, "the Trickster." During our imprisonment, we found a tunnel out of the pit we were trapped in, and me and Thoruk volunteered to explore to see if we could escape."

"So when we went through the tunnel, it shut from behind, forcing us to keep going without the others. We found out we were in this guy's large mansion. He had bows, hunting equipment, and pictures of his weird-looking family, along with one of him and Ëonwë for some reason."

"We tried to find a way back to the pit, and explored along the room. In one room, he had a massive library. That's where I found this book and my Mumakil one."

"After we freed the others, some people from our group also nabbed books from there. I don't know what they were about, but a few of them looked interesting." 12253360

"Oi Thoruk!" cried out Daugo from his pony. "Saddle up, my friend, we must go on!"

The dwarf was really pitiful to look at, he looked terrible. Considering this, Daugo dismounted to try and help him to his pony. "You alright there?" he said as he got closer?

Iver saw the dwarf running toward them. "Thoruk, where In the name of manwethe hell have you been?" He shouted toward him as he rode toward the tired dwarf with his horse.

"Nothing to.. worry bout lad" Thoruk says as Daugo walks towards him. As he hears Iver's shout he says nothing more than "I had to do something." He gets closer to them and mounts his pony, yet a bit out of power. "Dwarves aren't natural sprinters... by any means" he says as he sits on his pony. "Sorry that I kept you waiting lads" he says, rather quiet before he attaches his axe onto his back. "I guess we can't take a little break somewhere, can we?" he asks while scratching his forehead, concentrating on healing his wounds, most importantly his arms, the finger could wait, although it's his right arm that got injured due to this wind-beam, his battle-arm. From there on he stays quiet, healing his remaining wounds and waiting for something to happen.

((Time-bubble.))

"I see," Celeborn murmured, "What exactly do you wish to know, Sigeric of Redhaven?"

---

Ha'zi was falling behind and saw she had extreme endurance. How the hell did some Gondorian Lord's daughter have such speed? He exited the tunnel that led to the sixth level and saw that the density of people here had lessened. There were a couple soldiers laughing and walking past him, a few old people strolling by, hands held together; even a dog which nudged his leg on its way by. He had lost track of Miriel and for a moment was lost in it all. The world. Above him was the moon, smiling down with its shine. It was so peaceful. So natural. And now another thought occurred. He was not only fighting for his family, for life, but for this. For these people. For that old couple. Would he ever be like that? An old man with his old wife? Could that have been them? No. Sadly, he was immortal now. Miriel would grow old and die and he would watch.

"Gotcha," She pushed him into a wall. While he had been so focused on those thoughts, she had snuck up on him. A couple of guards looked their way and she stopped fooling about and stood upright while they passed. Once they were gone she turned around, "Sorry for being so hard on you. I expected you'd put up a bigger fight than that," she said pulling Ha'zi up.

---------

Glorfindel's eyebrow was raised. "The Trickster? Someone calling themselves the Trickster? And you stole this book from their house?" His voice had the tone of skepticism in it.

"Now, Glorfindel, they have been kind to us. Ha'zi would not be lying." He turned to see Thoruk, "Ah, welcome Master Dwarf, we were wondering where you had been. Let us be on our way without further hesitation." He whispered to Ha'zi in a kind tone, "Allow Glorfindel to read the book, we must start moving in order to save time, speak with me at a later time, perhaps tonight when we camp, about this person," And with that he turned around and mounted his horse. Glorfindel followed suit, pocketing the book in his horse's baggage.

Once everyone had saddled up a horn was blown from the Noldorin ranks and answered by two more horns, one from the Gates of Minas Tirith and another from Crandiel's Gondorian Cavalry Regiment. The first of the horses at the front began to move forward and soon they were all galloping towards the east road. The group passed underneath the causeway of the Rammas Echor and after five minutes reached the city on the river.

Osgiliath was a beauty and much of its streets had been renewed. Dimitri saw the beautiful architecture of Numenor had been renovated and rebuilt in the modern Gondorian style. Lord Celeborn and his retinue rode ahead through the streets of the city, past many peoples and folks and unto the Great Bridge of Osgiliath. The Bridge had been cleared and Guards of Osgiliath with great pikes stood to either side, pushing back the crowds, allowing for the thousand riders to pass.

Ha'zi, Sigeric, Thoruk, Iver, Daugo, Marco, Dimitri, Cardiloc, Miriel and even Zaro were fascinated by the Dome of Stars which gleamed in the dawn sunlight. The river Anduin, the largest river to grace all their eyes, spread like a vast sheet of water, lazily meandering underneath them. Soon they were off the bridge and through the eastern parts of Osgiliath. Here it was not so pretty. Many scars of the War of the Ring remained. Scorch marks, broken towers and even colonies of rats populated this city side yet it was an improvement from the previous Osgiliath.

They exited the ancient capital of Gondor and made headway towards the crossroads, turning North along the Ithilien road. From this point onwards it was forests and shrubs.

After he was pulled up, he brushed himself off then addressed Miriel, "Geez, how are you so fast? You must run every day."
----------
Ha'zi nodded and took note of what Celeborn said, and allowed Glorfindel to keep his book, despite his interest in it. He walked back to his horse next to Miriel and rode with the others.
-------------
"Have you ever been out here before?" Ha'zi questions Miriel as the party rides out into the wilderness. 12253360

Miriel just smiled at the compliment and said, "Just running, yeah. Why, don't you? Aren't you su-supposed to be uh-a-able to fu-fu-fight the D-dark L-l-ord?" She stuttered at the end to make fun of both Morgoth and Ha'zi's predisposition, then turned around and walked off, "You coming, Warrior?"

---------

"What sort of a question is that?" She replied, sounding quite grim.

16315828

He blushed a deep red at her mocking of his occasional stuttering. Hopefully the dark concealed it so he wasn't embarassed further.

"Yeah, I'm coming, Ms. Athlete." Ha'zi smirked as he followed her.
-----------
Ha'zi shrugged. "I don't know, have you ever been this far from home? Have you went anywhere outside of Gondor?" 12253360

Miriel waited until they were walking alongside each other and began speaking as they walked towards the King's Barracks, "You know..." she looked around, thinking deeply about what to say, "I don't know. Actually. I'm still a stupid girl looking at the world through closed eyes. I'm sorry, Ha'zi. I don't know what this is to you. Or to me. I-I," she legitimately stuttered, "I like you. Which probably is the dumbest thing for a Lady to say." She walked into the barracks through its open doorway walked with him down towards their rooms, passing some guards, "I don't know how they do it in Harad, or even how Gondorian damsels woo but I..." she paused then went silent, "I don't know."

-----------

"No, this is the first time," she sighed, "Everywhere I've gone so far has been with you guys," she smiled, albeit, her tired visage.

16315828

"I'll be seen you later, loves." Dimitri shouted out, stuffing the handkerchief in his gaunlet.

----------------------

Dimitri looked around at the city and knew that this place wouldn't be so lucky should Morgoth return. He thought about the thousands of dead that lay at the bottom of the river and the many more that would be there soon.

--------------------

"Oi, lady! Did your father serve at the Second Battle of Calembel?" Dimitri asked Miriel. He had a strong hate for the nobles of Gondor because of their actions at that battle.

Cardiloc gazed up at the Dome with wonder, and his mind strayed back to his sister; safe with Marco's mother. That was a debt he needed to repay. The dunlending spurred his horse to find company with Thoruk, it had been long since he had spoken to that dwarf.
12253360 13615485

((Time-Bubble))

"I wish to know whether you intend to ignore this prophecy. If it bears any truth, then our expedition to Mordor may be doomed from the beginning." Sigeric paused, as he considered telling them about his visions.

[rule]

As the group passed through the old city of Osgiliath, Sigeric reflected on its history and downfall. The ancient capital had suffered a series of successive tragedies that had completely depopulated it. The same plague that had decimated its population had also brought the old kingdom of Rhovanion to its knees, killing over half of its occupants. Sigeric's house was a remnant of that collapsed kingdom. Prior to the Great Plague, the War of the Kin-Strife had resulted in the sacking of this great city. It too, had its roots in Rhovanion. Many Gondorians had not taken kindly to being ruled by a King with northern blood.

As their journey continued through the woodlands of Ithilien, Sigeric spent much of his time anticipating the possible events that could occur when they reached Mordor. Seeing Dimitri interrupt Ha'zi's conversation with Miriel, the Dalishman approached the Southron. "You never did explain what occurred during your journey to Minas Tirith." he said.

Thoruk, not realising that Cardiloc caught up with him to, most likely, conversate a bit, looks at his arm, the pain slowly disapearing, besides... his finger, the finger seemed not to be healing any time soon, it would take a few hours atleast. "That's one hell of a power, must give that to ya, aye lady. Were you able to control it?" Thoruk thinks as he puts down his hand again, looking around to see Cardiloc next to him. "Oh, hey lad, ya alright?" he asks.

Whatever, I don't care about your feelings, there's like 5000 other Miriels in the world, peace, bitch "Oh." Ha'zi said, dumbfounded. The boy stopped and stood there, not knowing what to say. What are you supposed to say to that?

You have to say something, idiot. You probably look like a fool right now. Just do it. Say something to her. Say how you feel or whatever. If not, you'll probably regret it.

"I like you too." Ha'zi blurted out to Miriel, face turning a near impossible shade of scarlet. "I don't know really what to say, but.. but I like you too, Miriel." He stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to do or say next. 12253360

--------------
He was about to say something else to Miriel when, yet again, Dimitri and now Sigeric swooped in, interrupting. This is starting to get annoying, he mentally fumed.

"Oh, um, what do you want to know?" Ha'zi asked Sigeric. 12519458
