VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Magath gulped. “Five days, maybe six. We only have bread and salt. That was this day’s meals.”

As they descended deeper into the cave, there came a tunnel which cross-sectioned the cave off into two routes. The right was smaller and the left larger. That was the only difference between the two.

“How deep should we go to avoid that thing out there?”

Silence. No replies came to Mirecyla. Of course. The only actively living ones down there were her and Miriel.

”It-“ Eonwë tried to speak but his foot was stomped down on, then he was elbowed, once, twice, he fell back, strangling Pyrus with his good arm.
”Didn’t have to-“ Again, another elbow, then another. His temples and left cheek bruised. He pulled harder on Pyrus, the air in his windpipe compressing.
”Be this way-“He tightened as hard as he could and Pyrus began choking, whatever little oxygen he had left waning away. Pyrus saw flashes of his life, his memories, his regrets flow through his mind.

Túrin laid the elf down gently next to Cardiloc, leaving it up to the drake to pick him up. The man raced over to where Eonwë and Pyrus were killing one another, Valar-blade drawn.

Cardiloc watched in horror as Eonwe strangled Pyrus to death, yet that damn worker Maiar had betrayed them, this was justice and vengeance.

"It didn't" He thought to himself his back foot spring backwards to hit him in his junk while he grabbed his good arm with his two hands, using all of his strength he attempted to rip his arm off of his neck or give him some space to breath. Either way after the kick Pyrus would start to walk to Turin, determination in his eyes as memories started to flow through him, his friends, his time in Valinor, his time in Mordor, everything and anything. As he marched his possibly last March he attempted to focus on the metal in the room, his mace, their swords, their armor, anything. To Turin he attempted to make the fallen Elfs sword spring up and gut him, for Eonwë he attempted to have his mace hit his shoulder of his good arm while also making the armor start to press down on him. If that didn't work, well he just readied himself for Turins stab.

"Well this is shit, can't even get back in the fight and I'm stuck with you."

Pyrus was unsuccessful in activating his powers. What he was successful in, however, was freeing himself from Eonwë’s grasp. The Maia managed to breath but Eonwë kept trying to hold him down. Túrin’s footfalls began louder as he approached...

Dimitri laughed with delight for the first time in years as he dodged the serpent's foul spit and tried to grab it by the neck and wring it like a wet cloth.

"MY KING!" Zaro shouted in a wild mix of emotions. He stopped in his tracks frozen in motion looking at what remained of celeborn, his face so full of raw loathing hatred that anyone looking upon him could mistake him for a devil. Cold sharp emotions consumed him in those moments that were now swelling in his mind now all of them turned to sheer rage. Betrayal. Zaro turned to the Warrior every ounce of fear now leaving him as he plunged into a new world of chaos. A dark blood lust consumed him and he dropped his helmet and hissed "TRAITORRRRRR! HE HAS FELLEN OUR KING!!!!!!!! KILLLLL ITTTTT!" Zaro blew his horn as loud as possible and charged the beast of a human intending to kill or do as much damage for it be killed by the others, his patience left him and his eyes looked as if they had turned completely red. Zaro went into a groundshaking stampede of a sprint towards that demon.

Pyrus would take a deep breath upon being freed, still feeling Eonwë trying to grasp him he spun around and grabbed ahold of his wrist, grabbing onto it tightly and pulling it to him, as if flinging something behind him, as he got closer he would go to knee him in the gut and grab him in a headlock, turning the two to face the incoming footsteps of Turin. "Maybe in another life brother, you would of seen choosing Genocide over some sort of freedom was a wrong choice. He whispered to his brother, tightening his grip around his neck, somehow his eyes grew slitly watery. This was someone he once respected, admired, and now, he would be the leading cause of his death.

A large gruesome smile spread on the beast's face as it snatched the elf. Holding on to him with the pointer and thumb, it dangled the Lord above its wide open mouth, savoring the moment. Then, with triumph, it dropped Celeborn. Down into the belly of the beast. 12253360

Eonwë gasped, his one hand smacking at Pyrus’ face as he struggled. His face contorted with anger and he spoke to Túrin, ”Don’t kill him,” he choked, ”P-please, P-Py-rust walk aw-way.” His arm pat Pyrus’. ”We’re Ai-Ainur butchering each other. Is this wha-what we’ve be-come?”

Túrin stopped before Pyrus. The Maia of Aulë saw the Valar-blade in his hand. He didn’t recognize it as a Valar-blade since he had no knowledge of such weapons and it looked exactly like a Maiar-blade with the exception of extra length and girth.

“I lend you this one privilege, unhand my friend and I will allow you to walk away, foe.”

Dimitri’s claws gripped onto the Serpent’s scaly long neck. It slithered over his hand, wrapping around him and constricting, its jaws opening and taking a bite into Dimitri’s hands. The Dwarf’s arm slowly began to dissolve as the Serpent pumped acid through its jaws and directly into it.

Zaro saw as the Warrior Giant picked up Lord Celeborn and ate him. Ate him. There was no fear in Celeborn’s eyes when it happened, no regret, no tears. A small smile as he fell and the Warrior Giant’s teeth bit down on him, consuming the elf.

The Beast saw two elves running toward him, whilst Maia fled in retreat. Zaro charged first, followed by Glorfindel from a different direction. Both had the same vengeance-filled anger driving them forward.

Daugo grimaced. It was a deadly conundrum. The further they went into the cave, the better their chances at surviving the Leviathan's transformation. However, going deeper also meant that, in the event of a portion of the cave collapsing--as was liable to happen in the event of an explosion--they would be hard-pressed to dig their way out. So, they could choose to starve underground, or to die obliterated.

He tried to put on a brave face. "Just a few yards further in should be safe. The left side seems more appropriate for our needs; I can go and scout out the right side once the dust's settled."

Delicious. It licked its lips, the gore from its victim tasting exquisite. It was surprised the elf didn't put up much of a fight. Pity. It would have liked for him to struggle, but oh well. A meal's a meal.

The beast turned now to the gathered feast before him. Roaring again, it charged forward, swinging its arms wildly at the soldiers, not caring whether it is friend or foe; because for him, it is food. Zaro was slapped by the Warrior Giant and sent flying through the sky.

He smashed into Sigeric, toppling both of them into the mud.

Glorfindel stopped in his tracks. The weight of everything came crashing down upon him in that moment. He watched as his Lord, his Commander, and most importantly, his best friend left in Middle-Earth was devoured by Ha’zi. Ha’zi. The same boy who Celeborn had insisted on protecting, who had charged to their certain deaths to rescue, the same boy who had allowed a traitor into their ranks, the same boy who led them to this moment. He looked around and took it all in.

During the battle, he had been focused on single enemies and the objective of slaughtering as many as possible in order to save the Karoltai. So many Maia he had killed. But it didn’t matter. All his kinsmen, so many of them had died here, he could see so few left standing. They had died to save that boy. And now here he was, right in his grasp, and he had eaten, he had murdered, the elf who had sacrificed his life along with the lives of so many others to protect him.

Glorfindel stuttered upon seeing his friend’s arm fall from the mouth of the Warrior Giant. The next actions he took happened so quickly, with such haste that he could not even think.

When Zaro and Sigeric recovered, they saw the white-haired elf, a lone swordsman, rush forward towards the Warrior Giant, screaming wildly, all manner of composure and logic and decency lost as he was consumed by vengeance.

It would ignore the mad elf and continue plowing forward through the swarming ranks of soldiers.  12253360

Zaro hit the ground with a painful boom and had now recovered looking back at Sigeric. "Ow, sorry bout that." He spoke quickly and got back up charging at the monster ready to help glorifindel put down this monster of a man. He became blood drunk upon seeing his king eaten. His entire body out of control as if it was being moved by a demon.

Sigeric's attention was caught by Zaro's scream, and he watched in horror as the Warrior Giant ate Celeborn. Why would Ha'zi... ...How had the enemy turned him?! Before he could act, he was struck by the flying Zaro, and struggled to his feet once again. Whatever had happened to Ha'zi, he was evidently not the same person whom they had known. And like any rabid beast, the Warrior Giant needed to be put down. Sigeric charged forward to intercept his former ally, using the throwing star to slash at any enemy soldier who crossed his path. He searched for a spot near the Warrior in which he could transform without harming his allies.

Zaro’s rapier slashed the jugular of the Maia next to Sigeric. He fell back, gasping and bleeding to death as he clutched his throat.

The Dalishman found that most of the fight was clearing, the Maia and Elves had sustained critical casualties and the last remnants were battling to the death. There was a clearing in the path of the Warrior Giant, bodies of elves and Maia alike crushed underfoot by its rampage.

Glorfindel sprinted with unnatural speed towards the Warrior Giant. He slid underneath the beast’s belly as it charged on all fours through the muddy battlefield.

The Beast felt it’s feet go slack as Glorfindel’s blades cut through both his achilles heels’.

Zaro upon seeing his king eaten has gone blood drunk his body out of controled as if driven bt a demon charged to help glorinfindel despite his failed attempt. He threw daggers at it's head distracting it so glorinfindel could continue he then attempted to climb the warrior and cut at its neck or head.

Sigeric focused, and used his existing injuries to transform. Suddenly, the Guardian Giant stood in his place, and began to summon a large two-handed sword.

Pyrus would lessen his hold around Eonwë's neck, yet only enough to where he could speak clearer. "Do you understand what I've been through Eonwë? I was sent to an unknown guardian to bring unknown yet powerful beings to Valinor, then Illmare your wife turned out to be a servant of Morgoth and foolishly at the time let him free. Pyrus would start to shake, crying and tightening his grip once again, yelling at them I WAS HUNTED! BY MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. I WAS AN EXILE, A FAILURE, I HAD NOTHING AND NO ONE UNTIL GIVEN A CHANCE BY NONE OTHER THAN MORGOTH! MORGOTH! THE SO CALLED FALLEN VALAR, EVIL ONE, WHATEVER YOU WISH TO CALL THE ONE PERSON WHO WE FOUGHT AGAINST ASKED ME TO JOIN HIM. HE GAVE ME LIFE, A HOME, FRIENDSHIP! WHAT DID AULE OR MANWË GIVE ME? SLAVERY, LACK OF FREE WILL. WORK NIGHT AND DAY. He would yell, tears streaming down his face, his voice quieting and his grip lessening to allow Eonwë to talk. "I kill now because I have to, it was just moments before where you tried to kill me. I killed family and I lost family, because if I don't all I am is an exile. Traitor or not I am who I am and who I have been shaped as. Pyrus was about to give his terms when he remembered something they had said, "Go kill Morgoth." But they had the sword? He looked at the blade once again, noticing the design of it, what an odd blade. He thought, an idea coming to mind. "I give you two options, option one is you give me the Maiar Blade and we go our separate ways, option two is you give me the Maiar Blade and you come with me to meet Morgoth, just give him a chance, that's all I ask of you. A chance.
