VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"No I'm not sure-" Hering would say to Ramdir as the whistle was sounded. Hearing the cries of the men and the sound itself he was draw an arrow and cry out. "Ready yourselves! Watch the shadows and be prepared for anything!"

"What is this noise...?" Thoruk asks, noone in particular. He puts his helmet on and grabs his fathers axe. Whatever was there in the darkness, it was getting closer and it seemed close to attacking them.

An ochre worm-like tentacle protruded from the silt and began to twist and swirl around almost as if searching.

Ha'zi was no longer running but gliding as well next to Cardiloc. They were both flying like birds but without flapping their arms like lunatics would. However, Cardiloc's legs madly swung about underneath him almost as if kicking the air in the motion of climbing a staircase.

Ha'zi's nose continued to bleed as he strained to keep both of them afloat and they soared at speeds untold, slowly leaving the tentacle behind and passing over a hill to see more grey and black sands covering the horizon.

------------

They all went deathly silent and the tension seemed to build as one by one each soldier unsheathed a weapon. Galador unfurled his spear and waited patiently, staring into the darkness of the forest.

There were no more sounds. No whistles. No chirps. Nothing. Not even the horses dare neigh.

Something was out there. Something was watching them.

"Hm" Thoruk grumbles as he looks at the others, stopping or drawing blades, or even doing both. "We seem to not be alone anymore lads, brace yourself." he says, quite calmly, before looking at Ha'zi "Don't know what ya up to man, but get behind me, you won't last long without hands lad." he whispers to the boy, not trying to make any loud noises while looking into the darkness. Nothing but sheer black everywhere. It was quiet, too quiet.

"Alright," he whispers back. "But if I have a few tricks up my... Well, I don't have those anymore. So, let's just say I have a few tricks in case anything is out there, alright?"

"Up your sleeve lad?" the mighty dwarf said quietly. "That's not the right time for jokes like this, but if you realy have some tricks left tell me now, because I haven't realy got anything left, besides maybe one or two blows with electricity through my hands" he answers, one eye towards the haradrim, the other one looking into the darkness infront of him.

"Ok, I'll tell you." He moves a bit closer and says as quietly as he can. "So, I found out I can mimic the abilities of all the shifters. That's how I... zapped.. that shifter earlier."

"Wait you can what?" Thoruk says, turning his head towards the boy. "Why... how?" he asks, a bit confused. "Have you found that out yourself? And which abilities are you capable of using?" he asks the boy, lowering his axe, since he hadn't expected something like this.

"Yeah, I can use others' abilities. I used yours and Osman's earlier today, along with at the stop we made a while before. I found it out during my fight with Miriel from Keldar, and used her abilities to defeat her." He says, not really paying attention to the road at all, just to Thoruk. "And I'm pretty sure... all of them. Think I'm even able to stack them!"

"Hm?" Thoruk grumbles. "D'ya think you can even copy sizes like the size of the behemoth? If so, there would be no limits to your giant and.." Thoruk cuts it off as he got to excited about the sheer endless possibilites the young haradrim might have now. "You think you can copy an electricity beam without ya hands if needed lad?" Thoruk asks the boy as he lays his axe onto his shoulder, now having high expectations from Ha'zi.

"Think just Daugo's abilities and nothing else. And, yeah, I've already done that. I shot the electricity out through a kick earlier." Ha'zi replies.

"Hm, if whatever comes there from the dark" Thoruk says "It'd be a great idea to both shoot at the same time, we both haven't got that much power left, but our combined blow should be enaugh to atleast injure, even something big." he says "Hope ya can controll it properly, even for me it took a while to getting used to it." he addes, beeing proud of the boy. "He learned it that fast? Not bad for a young man, don't ya think Irdis?" Thoruk thinks before grabbing his axe again and turning towards the darkness of the woods, watching closely. Whatever would come, it would feel the wrath of a ironbeard and his axe.

"Yeah, sure..." He says, then goes to be silent for a bit when that concerning thought comes to him again. "Probably not worth asking, but any news on Card's whereabouts?" He asks to the dwarf.

“Ha’zi, I think we should stop. We’re safe, and this kind of feels weird.” The dunlending gazed down to his legs flapping about.

"Stand sharp men!" Hearing would call out, the arrow tight on the bowstring as he called to the other SISF men nearby. "Those who have torches point them to the woods, if anyone can ride ahead and warn the captain that something is watching us."

((Sorry, was writing a research paper all day...))
Sigeric gave Ha'zi an analytical gaze. "I suppose we can speak in private later. You should probably speak with Dimitri first, before he destroy's someone else's kneecap." His attention was caught by the strange sounds and commotion from the rear of the column. He stared into the darkness with the others nearby, anticipation running through his veins. "If it's a Maia, I can kill it, but I'm afraid that I'm unarmed otherwise." He said, in a low voice. Speaking of, where was that fool Zaro? He needed his sword back...

Like Aragrath at Mount Gram, Dimitri rode slowly along the caravan, carrying his stick like a club. He prayed to Tulkas Exalted and was ready to face his foe. Mentally, of course. Not physically.
