VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Thank ye, and I never caught your name!" Cardiloc called over to Iver, accepting the food graciously he began to gnaw at the meat furiously. Before of course he noticed the massive giant in the tree line. "Holy shit!" He gasped at the humanoid monster, sitting up straight quickly before he realised he had a smashed kneecap, he gave out a small yelp.

Iver forgot something...... Oh ya that crippled guy from earlier, he didnt take care of his leg and it seems like now its better to be a medic than being a soldier. He grabbed a mug of ale and planks, cloth and ropes that he left there before he went on guarding and went to the legless legolass. "My name is Iver, whats yours?" he asked before he kneeled next to him

Looks around him at the shocked faces, familiar fa- ah nvm. "We witnessed some of these Giants, pure stone, near the Misty Mountains. This must be something far more ancient and different."

"Don't you dare listen to him! Put away your bolts and arrows." Elodrin would furiously say loud enough to where all of the archers and Seigeric can here him. He would then shout for the men getting kindle to come back where he would address everyone. "Alright listen, no one is to go off into the jungle, no one is to fire an arrow or crossbow bolt, and no one should be going to try to fight that thing. Judging from its size it can easily kill us all and our weapons will do almost nothing to it. However no doubt the slavers see it also and will possibly try to come and group with us. This is why I ask Dean, Daugo, and Radaa to come with me to investigate the giant. If you do not wish to come I will not stop you, however I will be going. Those remaining here get ready to defend yourselves from the slavers instead of the giant. If I'm up there and hear arrows fire and I somehow survive I'm beating the living hell out of the one who did it." Although not visibly showing his fear or saying it Elodrin was shaking, he's heard stories of beasts drawn from the deepest darkest pits of the world by Morgoth, but could this be one of them?

"Cardiloc, though we shouldnt remain here Iver," Cardiloc gazed up at the horrific monster his eyes full of terror. "I'm not sure if I can walk," Cardiloc struggled to get out of the stretcher so he could present the wounded knee cap to Iver, he searched around for his spear. "I haven't ordered them to fire!" Sigeric exclaimed with anger. "We need our archers prepared in the event of an attack. I'm just as prepared to fire on the slavers if need be. Keep your arrows ready, men." Sigeric had no intention of firing if it wasn't necessary. But to set down their weapons and remain unprepared was utter foolishness.

"If you dont want to die from infection u must let me take care of this thing. One time a horse of mine broke his leg and me and a rohirim dude fixed it so it should be ok" He said to him. Then he called some of the other slaves to hold wither's hands and legs. "this is gonna hurt like drinking melted steel but if you move you will get even more hurt" Iver said before grabbing the ale mug. "ill spill it on your leg in 3. 1... " then he spilled the ale on his kneecap. 12253360

"Do wha-what?" Felix stammered, unable to break her glance away. "It's so-" she paused unable to find the correct words, "big."
Kel pushed past them and snapped her fingers, bringing a lot of the slavers to attention.
"That is some devil. Prepare defenses. Archers on the deck, scorpions loaded and ready to fire on it if it takes even a step towards us. Quartermaster, take them."
"Yes, Kel." The man said, obliging and moving off with a sizable portion of slavers towards the ship. Already many of those on deck began to panic on seeing the giant.
Kel turned to Felix, "I want you to round up the slaves and get them back to the boat, we need to set sail immediately. Wake them up. Go." The slaver ran off.
"And you two," she rounded on Dimitri and Thoruk, "Follow me. I need help getting the supplies back. Diente, Carlas, Garco and Lilian, with me, too." The slavers set off on their respective jobs, some to the ship, others to the slave tents, and those with Captain Kel toward the supply depot. Thoruk and Dimitri had no choice but to comply.

The group was split. Elodrin and Sigeric's orders contradicted one another's. The archers did not lower their bows, standing at their positions along the deck. Deslan's own Haradrim did not know what to do without their leader but sort of stared on at the others arguing.

Radaa, although ordered by Elodrin to follow, remained in place.
"I ain't goin' near that thang." He pointed at the giant which stood next to the mountain.
"I'm with you, Elodrin. Marco, take care of Sammy while I go." Dean said.
"Fack, fine." The man answered.

Cardiloc found his spear. It was still in the sand where he had been warhammer-ed-to-the-leg, about a couple paces from the campsite. It was too far for him to get without help.

"I think we should hide in the ship." Said Celeste which received some murmurs of agreement.
"Maybe we should run to the jungle instead," Lesier stated, "It's safer than being left out in sight of this," he pointed with his walking stick to the giant, "monster."

"Do I look like I'm going to allow you to perform piss drinking rohirrim surgery operations on my leg!? Get my spear first at least, its over there in the sand." Cardiloc shook his head, and pointed towards the sand.

"You and your men will stand down! If you so much as dare fire a single arrow at either slave or giant you risk the lives of us all. One man in the crows nest now! The rest of you get down here and help set up defenses." Elodrin would yell staring deep into the eyes of Sigeric "You may be a noble boy and you may of been in several campaigns but do not question by judgement. I have fought beasts while you have fought men so I expect you to follow the orders of someone who knows what he's doing. Do not waste the lives of others duo to possibilities. Help the others." He would make sure everyone could hear him.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That is fine Radaa and thank you Dean. However you should all try to get inaide the ship as Celeste suggested. We dont know whats inside that jungle and some of us will get lost or possibly furthur injure yourselves. We must think about survival! Unless anyone wishes to come with then lets go Dean." He would say starting to run off to the forest, however he would tell Sigeric to not do anything rash before he left.

Ha'zi looks at the man in horror, slowly moving the body away. His breathing becomes rapid and his eyes are wide. Scared, he takes his coin out of his pocket, holding it tightly. Then, he quietly moves over to the giant's body, curious of the beast.

"A'right, Hector" Thoruk says while clearly roling his eyes a bit "let's help our comrades over here, the faster we're, the better lad. I don't realy want to mess with that giant ya know?" he says as he turns towards the direction where the giagantic monster stands, seemingly watching over their movements.

Daugo had almost fainted when he'd seen the titan, and hearing Elodrin's orders did nothing to help. He wanted him to go to where that-that thing was? Fat chance. Celeste's proposition had seemed sensible at first, but so did Lesier's.
"I'm not hiding in the ship," he mumbled. "I-I suggest the jungle."

His only consolation was that he was small enough to go unnoticed by the giant, if need be.

"As I quite clearly told you, I'm not going to fire unprovoked. You said to set up defenses. That includes our archers.
I did not say 'draw', and I did not say 'loose'. I'm not risking anyone's life by making sure that we're properly prepared. Unless I order these men to fire, you have nothing to complain about."
Sigeric motioned for the archers to maintain their positions, and addressed them with a low voice.
"If any of you so much as draw your bow without me giving you the order, I'll send you over there to retrieve the arrow."

With the man pinned down Iver cleaned the wound with some fresh water then grabbeds parts of the skin and moved them closer to each other. Then he stabbed his finger with the crossbow bolt and started puring small drops of blood on the wound. Then with the poor man probs crying with pain he held the skin close enough. In 2-5 min the blood should connect the skin parts and then he could just put bandage on it and hopre for the best.

The giant appeared to be dead. Its body was smoking slightly with steam coming out of decaying sections of its body. It was gargantuan, maybe about 50 feet in size, and although, it was muscular, it seemed to be dying or dead. Like a corpse rotting. It would offer no answers on what had occurred. Ha'zi found himself alone in the jungle. He realized that a lot of time must have passed. The sky was lightening above and the moon was no longer visible. It must be dawn, he would think. Where were the others, again? Which way had he come from? Then, Ha'zi noticed the hill he had slid down and understood the direction he had come from, or so he thought.... The archers gulped at both Sigeric and Elodrin's threats. Couldn't these two make up their minds?

Some of the slaves did obey Elodrin but most were highly reluctant to move. Too occupied with the interesting argument going on between Elodrin and Sigeric as well as the giant in the distance. People were too afraid to move. Celeste and four others moved towards the netting and began climbing up to the ship.

Iver's procedure saw Cardiloc crying out in pain, screaming, which added to the chaos of the situation as it distracted everyone. What the hell was Iver thinking? Performing a make-shift surgery in such a foreign environment during this time? Moronic at best. Radical at worst. Nevertheless, it somehow seemed to work? Radaa came over and placed a piece of cotton in Cardiloc's tarp, gagging him.
"There, that should keep you shushed." He turned to Iver, "Do you really think that'll work?" Cardiloc's skin fitted slightly but was not firmly locked over the kneecap that remained bleeding and painful.

Dean followed after Elodrin.

--------------

Thoruk and Dimitri were led inside a tent that contained eleven barrels of various supplies.
"Start rolling or carrying those back to the ship." Kel ordered them. A bunch of others began to do so and expected them to help.
Then the ground shook with a THOMP. The giant had taken a step towards them.

"Release!" Shouted someone from the other slaver ship, Thoruk herd this and the sound of a WHIZZ as scorpion bolts unleashed from their holds and went flying through the air.

From his place on the deck, Sigeric, saw what was happening. A couple bolts flew from the other slaver ship as well as a volley of arrows which struck the giant's under-half. The creature seemed to look down at its legs before looking back up at the slaver ship closest to it. For a brief moment it remained still, staring them down, before, without a single word, turning and grasping the mountain with its hands. It struggled slightly, gripping onto the rock before breaking free a boulder and wielding it in its hand.

Staring back at the slave ship it lifted its hand, letting it travel backwards, like a trebuchet.

Sigeric was the first to realize what was about to happen.

Dimitri helps carry one of the barrels towards the ship and considers trying to hide it somewhere to smuggle it onboard his ship. He'd much rather play it safe. That was, until, he heard what sounded like a gigantic foot slamming on the ground. He puts the barrel down, and slowly looks out the tent...

Before Ha'zi does anything, he remembers what the man said about  being sorry for what he was about to do. And what was that? What exactly happened? What did he do? These questions hurt Ha'zi's head and, as much as he didn't want to do it, he went over to the dead man to see if there is anything useful...

As Dimitri carrys a barrel towards the ship and tries to hide it, Thoruk realises what he was up to but puts his barrel to where he should put it so no one would realise what they where up to

with the wound close Iver placed a tight bandage over it and fixed the leg using the planks from earlier. He then went and brought him his spear. "You will thank me later when you will not die from infection. You can use the spear to walk and try not to move yar leg too much" Iver said and then looked back at the group of slaves that helped em pin down Cardiloc. "You there, start moving supplies into the jungle. If the giant will attack we can hide there".
