VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

The lad soured at the mention of Cardiloc and Dimitri's disappearance and the phrase "the other friendly Giants". "Heh, wouldn't we all love to know that answer?" He mumbles to himself then stays quiet for a while, curious of the argument.

"What do we know of the other Giants?"
Iver loved talking, it wasn't a secret and the little voice that was usually there to warn him that he is about to say something that will get him in troubles? well it seems that he was missing for a while. But, luckily for him the dwarf decided to open his mouth.

Iver shrunk in his place as Thoruk started talking to the elf, "You can't just use us like pets Mr Elf", they were those who came to him seeking for help, not the other way around and he was the one who lost the most, not the dwarf. Iron-beard? he should change this to stone-heart or stone-head.
Iver was about to whisper to the dwarf something about his stupidity as Hazi decided that he got something important to say.

"Heh, wouldn't we all love to know that answer?"...... Iver looked at the little boy, "Well Hazi, I'm sure some of us know about the missing shifters more than the others" he said while looking at the boy, trying to catch his eyes.

Immediately Ha'zi contradicts his action by speaking again, anger in his tone. "Iver, I already told you that I have no idea, so stop pestering me about it."

"I think... considering I'm not here, I died. Was Ha'zi really the only one who survived? He was the youngest, yet here, the survivor." Cardiloc mused. "What happened in your future? After the ranging party at Mordor?"

Aranel lightly nodded her head to his answer.

"I can't tell you. And even if I wanted to, I don't know. Morgoth died, I escaped. That's the jist of it. We fought actually, for quite a while." She laughed slightly, a slow sad cough, "Then the darkness came and engulfed everything. It killed everyone." She looked down at the table. "And now we're here. And you need to guarantee that the darkness does not escape and that Morgoth stays alive. Without Mas-I mean, Morgoth." She coughed again, "Without his power, we are unable to fight the darkness. It eats everything. Even..." She stopped. "That's all you need to know. Ha'zi needs your Silmaril for safe keeping. And you'll be returned back. Just keep Morgoth alive. That's all you need to do. Even...even if it kills you."

"What are you talking about?" Magath questioned them both, "If you know anything about the enemy Giants, you must tell us. Were we not the ones who suffered from the misinformation the most? Your friends are all alive, no? I came back with less than ten percent of my regiment. Boys younger than you perished because of those damned beasts. Now speak!" Magath yelled at Ha'zi and Iver, the room growing heated.

"Aye, not this orc-shit again" Thoruk thinks, looking at the angry gondorian, saying that his men were decimated. "They decided to join us and weren't forced to, yet they still say that they lost so many men, over and over again, they don't want to realise that it was their own fault and search for someone they can give it to... this man kind makes me sick" the dwarf thinks, turning towards his fellows. He leans onto his axe and lays down his helmet. "Let's see if things will get a bit spiced up in here, I'm getting bored" he thinks while he scratches his beard with the other hand.

"Keep the cunt whose work crippled my friend Marco alive!? The one that started this whole mess in the first place with his shifters and giants. It's hard enough for me, myself, to accept that we need him, what about my friends, how am I supposed to convince them that Morgoth shouldn't die???" Caridloc pondered to Aranel, he seemed troubled about the mention that Ha'zi was keeping his Silmaril 'safe'.

"Enough." Sigeric would say harshly, he glowered at Iver, Ha'zi, Thoruk, Glorfindel, and Magath. "Enough fighting amongst ourselves. Not just one party is to blame for what happened in Mordor. Yes Ha'zi got tricked but what could he have do Need? He's a young boy with a now growing interest in girls, Magath you had two giants enter your ranks, how you or your other men couldn't figure that out is up to you, but you cannot blame us for the fence." Sigeric would say, turning to look at the others he mentioned. "The dwarves and elves have not had the most easiest of alliances, but now is the time to set aside your differences. Think us of monsters, fine, it looks like the world is shaping itself up to gain a few. Hell don't trust us, I don't care as long as your willing to set aside that truth and do your duty. Wars have been started over less." He'd take a sip of his drink if he had one. "Now Thoruk and Iver. Iver you have yet to tell us where you were for a portion of the battle, I expect you'll be telling us after I'm done. But Thoruk, I understand that you care for your people, your family, but if you do not rally them and we fail, it will be kingdoms worth of grief hanging on your shoulders because of how stubborn you are."

Sigeric would turn to the king then. "I'll fight, I've been doing it for a while also. When it's good and time assemble your generals and I'll tell them about both ours Giants and the enemy ones. I believe after our first encounter with them I have a good understanding of their powers and abilities. Is there anything else you need?"

"Hm?" Thoruk grumbles as Sigeric talks about him. He raises his head and stands up properly again. "You saw what happend to the brave men that followed us? Ya think it'll be an other outcome if we just send even more innocent people into this slaughter?" He turns away and looks at the Aragorn. "Aye lord Aragorn...." he starts off, scratching his head, "since you promised me that your men will protect us like we protect them I'll consider taking my kind into this fight. Although I'm not a big fan of the idea, seeing dwarves and elves united." he mumbles as he looks towards Glorfindel, still not happy that he has to fight side by side with an elf. "But what has to be done is unavoidable. You're the only one who's word is worth believing in right now. I might be stubborn" he grunts as he looks towards Sigeric. "But I'm not dumb and a dwarf never runs from a fight, so I count on your promise lad and I'll talk to my king about this alliance and what happend as soon as we're done here. Whatever outcome it'll be is still in my kings hand, but you have my axe for sure, aye." he says, looking at his axe, than picking up his helmet and putting his axe onto his back. "As Sigeric said, we have some intel, but you should ask the others here, I'm not the kind of analyst." he says, ending his answer with a bit of relief and a bit of anger that he realy considers taking his kin into such an battle.

Iver was about to open his mouth and tell hazi and everyone in the top 3 levels of tirith what he thought about the kid's relationship with miriel, what he believe can be found inside his empty head, and exactly how many orcs gang-banged his mother so she will give birth to someone that stupid. But then the gondorian interrupted him and he was followed by Sig.

"You do remember you are in front of the king right?" a little voice in his head told him while he listened to one of Sig's boring. "The second king you are talking to" Another voice added. "lets just hope it wont end like the last time" Iver thought to himself right before he heard Sigric mentioning his name, "Iver you have yet to tell us where you were for a portion of the battle" Oh fuck, what is he going to tell them? "So ya morgoth told me to become his bitch and i agreed"? No, he couldn't use the word bitch in front of the king...
After Sig finished his speech Iver waited for a second, he hoped Thoruk will start arguing with Sig and he wont have to answer the question, but the dwarf kept his mouth shut for once.
"Well, i got burned by a drake after dropping Glorfindel and Hazi near the destroyer giant. The drake picked my bat body so i couldn't really escape by jumping so i decided to wait, he brought me to where Tytus and limbless grimnir waited with Equas in his giant and some guards. I killed some of the guards and tried to kill Grimnir but Equas caught me and then they removed my limbs and placed me in a box with Hazi. Later the took Hazi and left me in the box where i waited for a while until they decided to move me to the dungeon but i killed a guard and escaped"

He didn't lie to them, he just kept parts of the truth hidden. Yes, he just kept a secret, everyone had a secret

"I'm sure you'll find a way. Their deaths should be motivation enough, atop your own death that is should you fail to protect him." She paused then asked, "How is Miriel?" The change of topic almost unforeseeable. How did this red woman know that traitorous bitch Miriel?

"Yes." The King of Gondor answered Sigeric's question but then Iver spoke. The crowd turned their heads in interest at the Dalishman's recount of his capture.

"Excuse me," One of the Gondorians brokered in, "Who are these people you mentioned? Tie-toss, Grim-near?"

A couple concerned looks fell upon Iver.

"Yes, Karoltai. Do tell." Glorfindel beckoned, his usual stoicism painfully obvious.

"Miriel? W-What? Well, the last I saw her she betrayed all of us, she broke Ha'zi's heart. I wonder, has he gotten over that yet?" Cardiloc questioned. "More importantly, how do you know about Miriel, were you there at the battle in Mordor, are you..." He stopped, knowing what the answer would be.

Good, no questions about the parts he tried to ignore.
"Oh well, there is Tytus who is a giant, Equas who controlled the small giant and Grimnir who controlled the destroyer giant" He said before adding "All of them are enemy giants"

Aranel blinked slowly. A sad smile crossed her creased features.

"What do you think, Card?" Her hands unfolded slightly on the table and he glimpsed a black mark embedded across her forearm. It was half-covered by her velvet dress and he merely got a glimpse of it before she folded her hands.

-------------------

"Destroyer?" Someone asked. "Wasn't it meant to be our ally?" The question was directed at Sigeric, who had told them that Grimnir's Destroyer was friendly before the expedition.

"How do you know their names?" Magath asked.

"Which Giants are they?" A scribe asked as he jotted it down on a parchment.

"Could you repeat the names please?" Magath asked.

A flurry of questions hit Iver. He had managed to slip the truth away from them. Or so he thought.

Sigeric telepathically heard his half-brother's thoughts and realized that Iver was hiding something. He was guilty of the sin of omission.

Thoruk keeps on observing the conversations with joy as he is no part of them and stays quiet. He looks at his axe and cleans it a bit as the other talk on.

"Their names? I used my mind reading powe- they fucking used it when they talked with each other" Iver replied slightly angry about the stupid question.
"which giants they are? I have no clue about Tytus but Equas was that really small giant, troll size i think" he replied to the other guy.
