VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Laurelos," She pointed at the ground ahead of her, "Sit Iver."

"We all were."

-----------------

He had crashed through the trees. Around him was forest for miles.

THUUUD.

The ground shook again. Then there was screaming. It came from the north-east.

"Joplin? That guy that nuked our friend? One of us killed him, we had to save our comrade that almost got killed by yours, that's something you would've done aswell so don't judge us aye?" he'd answer, taking a small break. "In the moment we haven't seen any forces of Morgoth yet, but a lot of moons have passed since we left gondor to search for ya guys, even Durins day was once in this time." Thoruk would calmly tell the man. "So I can just speek for what I saw; Men are uniting to stand against the dark lord in a final fight, and so should we. And That's already ya third question answered. We need ya guys to defeat Morgoth, rather you like it or not, he will come after you when he's finished with us. Combined the shifters might have a greater chance than just our team standing alone against Morgoth." he'd exclame, keeping his cool. "Yet, your friends here always said Morgoth wouldn't kill them, especially Aranel, I wonder how you feel for this point. If you also think he will spare you, our talking here is far from over." Thoruk would say, leaning back, still not taking anything to eat or drink.

The screaming shifter, Card guessed, and he was on foot. He’d have to adapt to face him. Card bit his tongue and tried to transform into a 5m long boar with a reinforced head.

"Funny ya should say that," Lasser intoned, "We had no plans for any fighting but we would've if it came to defending ourselves. Then we were attacked by your kind, again and again. We lost one of ours to those riders. And another two were taken by the Slayer. So, I ask ya. Why should we help a couple of thieves?"

"He stole us from our homes. Long ago in a different time. We were all children..." Miriel went on. "In some ways, he helped us. My parents were horrible to us. Aranel protected Laurelos and I. Then Master Sauron came and helped us. He gave us these abilities and I killed them. I killed my entire village. I am a murderer, Iver. I know that. Aranel still loved me. She understood. Laurelos was too young to remmeber. We lived under Morgoth in the mountains. He kept us in the dungeons unless Master Sauron needed to use us. They made us fight one another. Made us kill. Made us who we are."

Miriel looked up at Iver. "Made us kill each other. I am a murderer. I cannot hope to part from that past. It is a part of me central to my being. I will always be one, Iver. And here," She looked out at the forest, "Here is a place that we can restart. Maybe not me. But I will protect my children. I will give them the chance to be better than me. I don't want them to live through what I have, Iver. So, please. Forgive me."

-------------

Nothing happened. Blood swelled in Cardiloc's mouth and his tongue filled with pain.

Somewhere in the distance he heard more thudding. Whatever it was. It was big.

---

Whoosh.

Tytus pulled Evenis out. He was still wheezing and Even looked up at him with half-closed eyes.
"Berethor?"
Tytus shook his head.
"Joplin's inheritor?"
Tytus motioned with his head towards the south-west.
"We need to move. Do we bring him?" Tytus nodded and helped Evenis up. They started heading south-west.

Card knew it was the leviathan, and headed out west to leave the forest, whatever was north east of him would be heading either south or east to escape the leviathan. Card didn’t want to take any chances.

As Cardiloc traversed the forest he had a lot of time to think.

What was happening? Why had the Armoured, Screaming and Serpent attacked Minas Tirith? What happened to Ha'zi and the others? Was the King dead? What about Miriel? Where was she? Morgoth? Manwe? Aranel? Laurel? Eonwe? Sauron? Iver? Thoruk? Daugo? Sigeric? Dimitri? Celeborn? Glorfindel?

All these thoughts circulated through his mind as he ran through the forest. But the one which stuck out to him was Ela. What had happened to his little sister?

12700073

So he was awake... Shit... Ha'zi could feel the tears appearing as he intercepted then proceeded to respond to the Dalishman's mental message, "I'll try not... but you and me both know damn well how much we fucked up. We need to get to it before anything worse happens." He encourages his horse to gallop harder with a kick, and releases an agitated sigh before he continues to speed through the woods, overcome with hate and shame.

Card had seen that the armoured had broken through the hall of feasts, obviously he had been held there and perhaps Tytus and Evenis had gone to save him. Yet they had Mar- wait, Marco would’ve been at his manor. What had happened to his sister? He needed to speak to Marco, somehow. Card continued to run to the edge of the forest.

"You know, i did some bad things in the past as well. I might have not killed many, but i did ruin people's life for the sake of my greed. But people can change and like my father used to say 'what was was, was was'. The past was and cannot be changed, you can only effect the present and the future so don't bother crying over what cant be changed, work to improve your future and avoid your past mistakes.
I know it probably means nothing to you when it comes from someone like me, but i believe that you picked the right choice, and if you need help, i think i can help you stay on the path"

The forest ended ahead and Ha'zi saw two humungous feet far ahead. Soon he burst through the forest and into a wide field. There was a massive crater to his left and on his right more forest. A set of colossal footprints were embedded from the crater to where the Leviathan stood. It's face was so high up he couldn't see it from so far below. Was it larger than before? Ha'zi could not remember. It was nearly the size of the Behemoth albeit a bit skinnier. It had the red-skin features like the Behemoth and Savage but lacked the flames that Daugo maintained.

Something else drew his eye. Near the edges of the crater, in a smaller cavity lay another Giant's body. It was blasted black and its skin was the color of ash. He couldn't make out who or what it was but what was clear was that it was not moving.

---

Cardiloc burst into a clearing. He could see the Leviathan walking away from him, heading northwards. Ahead of him was the blast crater, a daunting two miles wide crevice. And next to it he saw something odd. A Giant's body. Not the serpent. But rather...

The Armoured. It was so burnt that he couldn't tell if it was charred or not but the armor was blackened to a crisp and it lay there back-down and face-up. Beneath the sound of the Leviathan's footsteps, Cardiloc heard horses. His eyes caught eight riders moving out of the forest to the north-east of him. Who were they?

-----------

"So killing my sister was the right choice?" Aranel asked.

14628767

----------------

Galador and Ramdir remained standing behind Daugo.

"So," The Admiral began, "You are one of those...Carolies? Correct?"

13527980

"Maybe, i didn't know her good enough to judge. Only you can decide, however, no matter what choice was the right one, you cant change what you have done, so at least try and stand behind your actions"

Miriel sighed. "Why did Gloryfinger take my kin?" Clearly, the topic was too soon to discuss for her.

14628767

"To be fair, i have no clue. All i know is that the guy has anger issues. When i get back to Gondor i can ask him if you want." Iver replied.

"No plans for fighting? Ironic." Thoruk would exclame. "Yet you murdered the king of Dale and also tried to attack my homeland, the lonely mountain back then with this armored piece of orc shit. Ya know... this was the point from where on out I actually wanted to kill ya guys. No one, not even Morgoth has a right to attack my kin. You can speak for my friends, yes, but even some of them didn't have the intention. Ha'zi, one of us, trusted a girl that was with us, till she backstabbed all of us, again... ironic, isn't it? Ya trying to tell me, we're the ones who started all of this? Maybe gondor did, maybe the "slayer" did, but neither me, nor most of us shifters started all of this.what we tried was to defeat Morgoth and what did you guys do? Ya helped him, ya cornered us and killed so many sons of gondor. It's almost funny that we're asking You for help against someone you defended..." Thoruk would say, a bit heated, yet trying to calm down again.
