VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

The hobbit let out a high-pitched whimper. "Would be prudent t-to make ourselves scarce," he told the two rangers, backing away in search of somewhere relatively safe and out of the way.

At this point Iver was sure this girl wasn't Aranel, he did not release her on the island. "You should have listened to me Iver, i told you Aranel is dead and-" Iver shut the voice down once again, he did not care that it wasn't the real Aranel at this point but he was curious.
"W-who are you? How do i do that?" He asked.

Shin ignored the others, focusing only on Keratos. "Euphy..." He muttered, remembering the little detail that haunted the man day and night. Based on what he'd heard and seen, he pieced together that the Terror had shown them truly horrifying visions. "Damn... we'll slay that whore for this, alright Keratos? Come on, man, get up so we can make her pay!"
------------------------------------------------------
Galador's eyes widened. "Yeah... yeah, that's... good idea." The Gondorian stood there, frightened, but tried earnestly to overcome this and mimic the hobbit's actions.
--------------------------------------------------------
"The pro-? Well, I guess that's enough. Thanks, Glorfindel." Ha'zi said, without a hint of sarcasm, and watched Ostopher's futile actions sourly. No one could stop the elf; he'd just power on by. Shaking his head, he turned away and moved back up the street towards where Sigeric, Daugo, and Galador were strangely still standing.

While Ha'zi made his way back up, he put his energy forward now into doing Sigeric's way of locating individuals, trying hard to mimic the presence that he felt through their interpersonal link. What was different, however, is that he attempted to have it mainly on powered individuals, excluding Sigeric and Daugo; shuffling through all the ones he knew of. The Serpent, Screaming, Armoured... that duplicating Giant, the Savage, and even that funny-looking one that he recalled absolutely destroying him.

"Equas," He yelled. "I don't have time for games right now. I will be able to soon, hopefully. Now, have you seen Dina?I need to speak to her." He said hoping that the boy heard at least a word of what he said.

Sigeric made no attempt to pursue Glorfindel. This was for the best. Through his mental connection to the Elf, he had known deep down that he was innocent. It bothered him that he didn't have any evidence to clear his name, but such proof would have been ineffective if he was indeed being framed by the military. It was best to let Glorfindel take his own path. Sigeric had no right to judge him. They would meet again, he was certain. The Guardian Shifter turned his attention towards their other objective. "I believe that we have more important priorities than Glorfindel." he said to the others. He detected Ha'zi attempting to locate enemy shifters through his psychic connection to him, and channeled his own energy to assist in the process.

Cardiloc looked confused, what the fuck was going on? Was Beren an illusion? He looked over at his sister. “Ela.” He breathed out. “It’s okay, it’s fine now. Come, come to me. I’ll keep you safe.” He promised her, before scanning around for Endo and Berethor, noticing the former had disappeared.

“Sir, he’ll just keep on evading us. Our attention would best be focused on the protogiants escaping from the city.” Rambo reminded Ostopher.

"Aye" he'd say, looking at his brothers, then at his king."I recieved a message from.." he gulped "Mahal, our saviour. Before you say anything my king, let me explain this unbelievable story. He spoke to me in my dream and told me he would help us to end this war, but.." he'd stop for a bit. "He's imprisoned far in the east. He wanted to tell me the place, but another voice apeared in my head, he said he was a brother of our Mahal and he was against our Mahal's idea to go east and free him. Yet this is what I have to do my king, I will have to travel east." he'd stop for a bit, letting everything sink in. "Also, my king, I have a question. Mahal tried to tell me where he is imprisoned. Do you know what he could've ment with 'the Orocar-'?" This sounded unbelievable, yet, his king was one of the wisest dwarves alive, if not him, who else would understand this?

The dwarves stared in bewilderment at Thoruk's words. One of them began to laugh but quieted down as the others stared at him.

"You received divine sight from Mahal himself?" King Thorin III Stonehelm asked. "Imprisoned you say? In the east? Why? The brother of Mahal? Did he mean the Orocarni?"

-----------

"Ugh," Ostopher spat, "Why is he so unstoppable?! He's just an elf?!" Rambo saw the man was clearly pissed at the loss of the elf.

----------

Ha'zi and Sigeric found a multitude of signatures. One, two, three, four-what the fuck- there were six. They only had the Serpent and Cardiloc imprisoned with Glorfindel...how were there six? Was this a counter-attack? So soon?

----------

Galador and Ramdir noticed the screaming decrease from the upper level. The sound of tolling bells also covered over it. Daugo felt the thunderous shaking diminish.

-----------

Ela rushed into Cardiloc's arms. He saw Berethor had run out the front door but his attention was taken by Endo who appeared at the top of the staircase.

"Card, listen, man, I don't know what the f-" He saw Ela, "What's going on here but we have a few problems."

-----------

"Animals," Kurio shook his head as the old man tried to move the rock on his own. Arthor bit into his sleeves in pain.

"Remember," Keratos mumbled as he stood, still shaken, "The General needs her alive." He said to them.

-------------

Equas' clones halted. They turned around in unison. "Oh, I thought we were still playing." He said sadly. "Dina went with Emi to the forest." He walked off, his clones separating in different directions.

---------------

"Who am I?" Aranel's face transfigured into a mass of liquid darkness that took a feminine form. "Oh, but Iver. You've known me for a long time. I've watched you. Desired you. Ever since you helped unleash a minuscule portion of me from that horrid prison. I've been with you since the island, growing within you. I'm the one who's kept the others away. I shielded you from Morgoth's oath and those terrible people like Eldan and Vlad that plagued your conscious. I love you, Iver. More than anyone else in the entire world."

Thoruk would stare a bit at the dwarf that dared to laugh. Then he would speak up. "I did, my king. I suppose he is imprisoned by his siblings, maybe even Morgoth himself. My king, excuse the question, but what or who are these 'Orocarni'?" he'd ask, a bit relieved that his king had trust in his words, or atleast it seemed so.

Cardiloc hugged his sister tight, then looked up at Endo. “Mirecy, I found her, and the serpent and you, at least this times you escaped from the prison. I’m guessing either there’s another protogiant or this is Mirecy’s doing. You know where she’ll be Endo?” He asked the man.

“He is that sir, an elf, one of the last of his kind. They say all of them have gone west with their ships, he is of a different breed to us mere men, he is immortal.” He explained to Ostopher. “Where to next sir?”

"The Orocarni are an ancient mountain chain that was ruled by our brethren in the east. It was the ancient place of their awakening." The King told Thoruk.

---------------

"You found me?" Endo shook his head. "What? No? I have no memory of this place." It was clear the timelines diverged in Mordor.

Ela released Card's leg and looked up at him inquisitively, "Cardiloc, who are these people? Whose mercy? What-what's happening-" She shivered.

---------

"Bloody hell, soldier." Ostopher grunted, "I know what elves are. I've met the Greenleaf of Ithilien and his dwarven friend. They engineered my damned weapon," He raised the rotating gauntlet, "I've seen how they fight. And that one, that one is far superior to even the Greenleaf. He's a monster as far as I'm concerned. Such power...it shouldn't be of this world."

---------

"I will be with you always," The black liquid swiveled around Iver and materialized into Ilmare.

"But I will never be able to be with you, Iver." Ilmare ran her lips along his neck as she embraced him from behind, her legs wrapped around him, unwilling to let him go. "Unless you open my prison. You must perform the ritual that Ilmare did on the island. You need the blood of the eight Karoltai to open it, a lot of blood. Enough to open the prison for me to escape. It is something I do not want to ask of you, Iver. I know you've been through enough and honestly, I care more for your safety than mine. I do not expect you to do this as it will mean you have to betray your friends if you still call them friends." Her head nestled over his shoulder.

"The forest?" He thought to himself.
"I think It's best I give her the letters when she gets back and is without any other company. For should any of them tell Lasser, he won't hold back Raddis.. Now that I said his name, what was on his hands earlier? Blood? It couldn't be" He told himself. From that point on he would yet again try to distance himself from the big brute.

The issue of the blood was quite puzzling but it could be explained immediately. Raddis liked to carry around much weight, perhaps he hurt himself in doing so. Then again, it might also be the blood of an animal. Yet...Raddis had an unusual smile on his ugly face. What had made him so happy?

That thought alone made Arandil more wary than he already was of the brute.

“Not you, your past self, from here. Timelines are weird, ok. Now, we need to stop Mirecy before she gets herself captured. I’ll jump in, get her and you and even the serpent out. We will have to rendezvous outside the city. Maybe up in the mountains, then we’ll get out of Gondor. But I’ll need to know where she’ll be, can you use your power for that Endo?” He asked calmly.

Iver felt warmth inside. He can be her hero, he will free her and be her saviour. "Do not fear, i will release you..... What is your name?" Iver claimed and asked.

"My ability doesn't work like that. I am able to perceive things but it's more so that they come to me," He scratched his hair, "I see visions sometimes. Or I have feelings when something's about to happen. Like...like on the Vingilote."

"What's he talkin' about, Cardiloc?" Ela demanded as he ignored her.

--------------

"I have no name, no face, no belonging. I am yours and yours alone, Iver. What shall you call me?"

“He has powers, like I do Ela.” He explained to his sister. “Well, we’d better head after Berethor then. But first, Ela you stay here. I’ll come back for you.” He promised her.

"Odd," Galador muttered. He started to move back towards the center of the road, though still very cautious of what was ahead. "What do you think it is, or was?"
-------------------------------------------------------
"Oh, and why's that?" Shin questioned with folded arms.
-------------------------------------------------------
"The fuck?" Ha'zi swore as he took in these readings, then muttered, "Oops, sorry" due to Sigeric likely being able to hear or detect thoughts of this. How was this possible? It had only been, what, a day? The only way he could see it possible was if they had an individual used for transport, like Iver with the Flying or Card with his airborne forms.

Nevertheless, they were here. Somehow. Sighing and stupified, Ha'zi tried to divvy up these pinpointed persons, concentrating on finding out who was closest and perhaps general info about them through some mental scrounging.

Daugo shrugged. "Dunno. Definitely a giant, but I can't say beyond that." His eyes darted all around, looking for any sign of danger.
