VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

While he was back in his hut, Arandil pondered to himself. "How is Farangar? How are his parents, who are back in Lossarnach?" He had not heard from any of his family members for over a year, and deep down, even though he relatively enjoys the time he is passing with the shifters, he still feels that there is an emptiness inside him that yearns for more information about his family.

He thought of writing letters to them, asking how they were, without telling any of them of his current situation or his location. He would write only two.One for his parents in Lossarnach, and one for the the house of healing back in Minas Tirith to learn what has become of his brother. But the main question was: How would he get those letters to his desired destinations? He thought of asking Lasser for a way, but he immediately rejected that idea, knowing he would deny and stop him from sending any letters. So he then thought of asking Dina, she might help him. He wrote the letters and went out searching for her.

The hobbit shrugged. "Someone that cannot recognize his own weaknesses is doomed to fail. If Gondor's army considers itself on par with any that fought in the First Age, then it is bound to lose." He barked a laugh. "Just look at 'im go! Trust me, if I had some way to stop him, I would help, but it would be a fruitless exercise from my part. From yours, too, but I suppose you have better odds, so go ahead, if you like. I'm just going to hang a little back and enjoy the show."

She rubbed her eyes to get rid of the dust as she caughs like she'd smoked to much pipeweed, or however the nobles called it. As she saw the and heared the 'h-help' she new what was up. She was about to lend him a hand to get him out but that's when she saw it. Blood. Blood all over him. More blood than she had ever seen before. It was like a nightmare for her. She shrugged, wanted to back off, couldn't look at him, breaking out in tears. "I-I... I'm sorry" she would mutter, tear after tear dropping down of her chin. "If I only had been faster this wouldn't have happend." she would mumble as she's barely understandable. Even for her, it was clear that he wouldn't survive. "I-I'm so sorry" she'd mumble again, reaching his hand with hers.

--------------

Thoruk would stand still, waiting for the other dwarves to finish their conversation with the king before approaching him. "My king." he'd say, kneeing down infront of him. "I have things to report, a few things to ask and not much time." Thoruk would say, then standing up. He would look at the king, then at the guards as if he wants to speak with the king alone. "Would you, my king?" he'd ask him to send them away, as this was not ment for common dwarven ears.

He chuckled. "While I'd like to assist, I don't think throwing myself at the elf is going to slow him down whatsoever. He'd probably just power right through me or toss me aside like the rest. My services would be far more needed back here watching over you."
------------------------------------------
As the unmotivated Gondorian conversed with Daugo, Ha'zi followed after Rambo and Ostopher, simultaneously chatting with the very individual the two were chasing after. "Yes, it's me. Ha'zi. And I think it would be in your best interest to stop, Glorfindel, and let us get to you before any of the high command or other squads get to you. I know we've had major, valid differences, but this is asinine.
Please, stop and we can help get out of this mess," Ha'zi urged to the fleeing Glorfindel.

No, it wasn't fair, why did she had to leave, he wanted her to stay with him, he didn't care about stopping Manwe or Melkor, all he cared about is helping her.
"Wait, don't go yet, tell me how i can make you stronger" iver begged.

"For Gondor!" Furdin yells, trying to jam his zweihander in the troll's eye with all his strength. He would not die here!

---------------------------------------------

Suddenly, Dimitri realized he was in a very dangerous situation. The wrong words and he would be doomed. "You-you! You are the chosen lord-master, oh gracious and mighty one!"

Daugo laughed. "Yes, I agree." He watched as Ha'zi ran after Ostopher and Rambo, and wondered what exactly the boy hoped to achieve. Both he and Sigeric were behaving rather strangely, he thought.

"Ah! My chosen warrior! Thoruk Ironbeard!" The King proclaimed, standing from his throne as he sighted the Dwarf.

"IRONBEARD!" The guards repeated in earnest.

"Well, what brings you to Erebor again? Good news, I hope? We still have not been able to locate your father, unfortunately."

---------------------------

Glorfindel's thoughts came slowly and meticulously as if the very action of thinking was rehearsed before the conception of such thoughts.

"Ha'zi, I cannot and I shall not. My path lies elsewhere. Namo has shown me the truth. We will meet again, another time." His train of thought paused then continued. "A word of advice, Ha'zi. Do not trust these men. Especially not their leader. I have been framed. And if I am caught, I shall be killed. I cannot be killed. Not by a mere mortal. I know when I will die. And it shall not be here or now." The further distance that separated them distorted Ha'zi's ability to read Glorfindel's mind. His connection to the elf was strong, though, so he was able to maintain it for longer than most.

The gates to the third level slid shut in front of the elf and the gate guard yelled something at him as he approached on horseback. The elf ignored whatever it was and proceeded to mount the ramparts with the horse, climbing the wall then leaping over it.

Ostopher stopped running as he watched the elf disappear behind the third gate and reach the second level. "What the fuck..." Rambo heard him gasp for breath.

-------------------------

Mirecyla managed to grab the girl Tamara but she saw Even was trapped underneath rocks from the building she fell on. Her rock throws had distracted the enemy for long enough so that she was able to remove the rocks and pick the idiot up. Even's legs were crushed and his right arm was limp in her grasp. This was bad. Endo was unconscious on her neck and Tamara, surprisingly was awake, however, she was whimpering and crying so she was probably affected by her power.

The girl was unable to do much as she was taken by the devilish giant that terrified her. She was being abducted?!

A rock flew overheard and missed Mateus' head by a few inches as Shin dropped them both, saving their lives.

Furdin's weapon struck the troll and it fell, dying. Suddenly, he was free of whatever sorcery had befelled him. On the ground, a few meters away he saw Keratos bawling his eyes out and hugging...was that a child? Furdin recognized Keratos' deceased daughter, Euphemia. What?

Suddenly, she disappeared whilst Keratos muttered apologies and cries, "I'd trade places with you if I could, Euphy." He opened his eyes and she was gone.

Cochran was in a similar position elsewhere, hiding in a bucket.

Kurio wandered out of the alleyway as the Executioner Giant made a break and rushed down towards the third-level. "Arthor's been hit. I'd appreciate some help, gentlemen."

---------------------

Daugo heard loud stomping coming from the upper level accompanied by wails of terror. Oh. This should be good.

Galador and Ramdir both heard it, though the former was quite exhausted and the latter was still hungover.

---------------------

Cardiloc's attack was negated as Beren grabbed his neck in one swift move and raised him off the ground. The Dunlending was powerless and he felt the man's grasp tighten. He couldn't breath. The shadow blade raised to meet his face and Beren smiled. "Say hello to Ha'zi for me."

POOF.

In that instant the construct of Cardiloc's fear, Beren, dissipated into thin air. He fell to the floor. Ela was whimpering in the corner and Card heard others too, someone in the basement along with others upstairs and outside. Screams, wails. What the hell was happening?

Berethor shook off the weariness and ran for the door, opening it and rushing outside.

"MIRECYLA!" He screamed at the top of his lungs.

---------------------

As Arandil went off in search for Dina, who was usually around her cabin at this time of day, he spotted Raddis and Lasser walking towards the village. They were always out for some reason. In the past week, the two had been disappearing now and then and coming back late or early in the mornings. He noticed something red on Raddis' hands. Was that blood?

"Aran!" Equas interrupted his train of thoughts as the boy ran up and tackled him whilst he held the letters. A dozen clones of Equas piled on, keeping him down. "You're tagged this time!" And with some scuffling they all pulled off and ran in separate directions. He had played the game for quite a while with the boy, yet now was not the time for such entertainment.

--------------------

"Indeed." Manwe said. It began to drizzle. "And as King, I have many enemies. Do you recall them, my child?"

---------------------

"Oh, but I'd be asking too much of you, Iver..." Aranel's touch slowly began to fade. He felt her weakening.

"My king, I bring news, mostly bad news and..." he'd stop for a second. "And even some news, well you won't believe If I tell them to you, my king." he'd pause again. I might have an idea how to find my father and how to end this war. Do you trust our brothers in here?" he'd ask his king, meaning the guards. "If so, they can stay,if not... well this isn't ment for everyones ears." Thoruk would say, looking at Thorin in awe. In another time, he would've never been able to speak to the king and give him advice. So he was somewhere proud, that the king of durins folk listend to him like this. Yet, would he believe him again, although it's even crazier than last time?

--------------

As she tried to grab his hand he was grabbed by the giant. She looked at it. She couldn't move at all. She feared death, she certainly felt it. Her body felt numb. Even her tears felt like they froze, almost like the time stoped. The sound around her went quiet. No more cries, no more sound at all. The only thing she could feel was fear. Not even move her thumb. Would this be how her life ended? In the hand of a... giant-monster?

Furdin ran over to his comrade. The giant had to be slain at all costs. This distraction would cost them all lives and time. No more dead friends, no more dead innocents. "On your feet, laddie, we'll have more dead children if we don't get moving!" he roared.

-----------------------------------

"Well-Well, there was the joyful-laughing one who fought-battled against the Dark One-One in Mordor with his minions-servants. Then there-there are the giant-masters, who-who also fought-battled the Dark One-One with the joyful-laughing one. Thought-believed someone said-said that they were evil-foul and must die-die. Doesn't make sense-logic that they would fight-kill Dark One-One servants-minions, yes-yes." Dimitri said thoughtfully.

Mirecyla was worried, however she couldn't allow this to stop her. She'd set the pair on her neck alongside Endo. However she knew that it would be very good for them to be able to talk to her without see the fear, plus she didn't want to hear their whimpering and moans. Drawing in her dome to where it was lessened by half she'd go to imbue the three with courage. Moving the fear to the side and messing with their emotions.

"EVEN, ARE YOU OK?"

She'd ask, while keeping her eyes on the path ahead of her. As she ran she'd try to grab ahold of houses and get handfuls of debris for any future packs of guards or rangers that tried to show up. She wouldn't allow any of them to get captured, well, maybe the girl depending on how this played out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What do you-" Mateus would say before Shin tackled him tot he ground and a group of rocks flew over his head, pushing his helmet and making realize how foolish he was. It was different when the giant wasn't being distracted wasn't eh? He mused to himself before pushing Shin off of him and standing up. "Thank you Shin, you good?" He'd say offering a hand

"Hm? Thought you were in support of the elf," Galador said, oblivious to what was happening behind them and still spectating the shitshow before him.
--------------------------------------------------

"Yeah, I'm fine," he gratefully accepts, and pulls himself up, afterwards giving Mateus a pat on the shoulder then adjusted his gear. After a fast check, Shin asks, "How about you, eh? We got pretty lucky there."
----------------------------------------------------
Ha'zi halted, ironically, as the elf escaped all the odds like some cliche action hero, or maybe just a character very clearly favored by the DM.This was unexpected. Not only because of the somehow succesful flight past the Gondorian forces he witnessed, but the words that had passed from Glorfindel to him, which had befuddled and confirmed at the same time.

He knew there had been some things hidden from them, such as the reasoning behind this manhunt. That was simple enough. But the rest... Not to trust 'their' leader? Who? And what of this Namo he spoke of? It confused him rightly, as this was certainly news. News that he'd have to look over again afterwards. And questions spawning left and right, but
with such limited time for an answer. He'd have to act quickly and with the best one.

Instinctively, the Haradrim nodded. "Very well, Glorfindel. Before I terminate this, I have to ask: Who else escaped? I don't doubt that every squad available would have been stirred to go after you, but there seems to be a number of them missing from action. Do you know anything about this?"

Mateus would nod bending down to grab his spear and Shin's crossbow, handing it over to him despite its condition. He'd see if his spear was broken. "Also fine, just ashamed I didn't see that coming." He'd look over and see the giant sprinting away while Furdin and Keratos were both kneeling on the floor. Furdin yelling something that he couldn't hear. "Lets regroup with the others." He'd suggest sprinting over.

"Thanks." He'd sling the crossbow on to him then look out for the rest of squadron ten, which was currently a sorry sight. Furdin was in some state of disarray, Cochran was... somewhere, and Keratos... damn. Grimacing, Shin nodded, heading straight for their squad leader. Squatting down to be at the man's level, he'd calmly ask, "Keratos... hey... how you doing, mate? What kind of spell did that witch have you under, huh?"

Unlike Shin Mateus would head to Cochran. When he got within talking range he'd call over "You ok Cochran?" He'd ask, going to kneel down next to him, worry on his face

"I support myself living," he said distractedly. "Er, allow me to direct your attention towards the hubbub coming from there," he added, pointing.

"I also support myself in that aspect of reality, but I don't see what the probl- Oh, that. What is that?" Galador asked, astounded.

No, this wasn't fair. The time he spent with her was the only time he felt happiness, the only time he didn't feel sad, scared and alone. She was the only thing he truly carved, more than saving the world and even more than that shiny stone card dropped in the woods.
"Your wish is my command" he replied.

"Mir-" Even tried to speak but blood clotted his mouth.

"MIRECY!"

Mirecyla heard a voice she had long sought. It came from one of the houses she had passed. Her fear factor was diminishing as her energy faltered. "MIRECY!" She heard him again. It was Berethor.

--------------------------------------

The beast had rampaged through the streets, leaving the rangers to their devices.

"Euphy," Keratos groped the empty air. He turned to Furdin, "What is this dark magic?"

Cochran climbed out of the bucket, "Fuck this shit. I thought the Nazgul were defeated!" Mateus heard him exclaimed. He began walking away, throwing his sword down in insubordination.

"Gentlemen, some help, please. Anytime, now?" Kurio asked as he tried to move the rock that trapped Arthor's leg.

-------------------------------------------

Daugo and Galador heard some sort of monstrous roaring followed by an incremental increase in trampling.

-------------------------------

"The pro-" Ha'zi's connection to Glorfindel ceased at that moment.

Ostopher shouted at the gate guards, "SHUT DOWN THE CITY! I WANT EVERY GATE SEALED! THE ENEMY CANNOT BE ALLOWED ESCAPE FROM MINAS TIRITH!!"

A bell began to ring from the third gate and was picked up by others.

-----------------------

"I trust them," The King said to Thoruk.

-----------------

"They are all evil." Manwe said. "Each and every one of them has fallen from the path of righteousness. The path of Eru Illuvatar. My child, we must return them to the path..."

------------------

"Then you must release the rest of me, Iver. Like you did on the island with that sweet, Ilmare's help." Aranel mused.
