VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"It shall be done your greatness" Artos would answer, hovering towards the nearest Balrog, yet not overcommiting, he would wait for the others to group up with him, looking towards the dark lord's creatures. "You shall be wiped off the world, once and for all, as this is the will of our greatness Vana" he would think.

Kodya nodded. "As you wish, my lady." He prepared his arrows, all the while irritated that they were ordered only to secure the Trickster. If he didn't have such a staunch loyalty to the commands of his queen, then he'd rather steal the Vala's blade and stick him with it for the heresy of terrorizing Lady Vana. For now, though, he would take his hatred out on these hellish Balrogs, which he intended to do with gusto. Drawing back his bow and releasing, he let out arrow after arrow, all focusing them at his current target: the boisterous Undolog, aiming at the bitch's "wings" and torso.

"Wonder why he's getting so freaked. It's just some droplets. Not like there's some, you know, battle of the gods going on up there," the stoic ranger murmured about the behavior of Ostopher, following his hobbit companion. As he did so, he couldn't help but notice that his little friend was also pretty shook. "Ey, what's the matter? Not a fan of storms, hm?"
[rule]
Shin scowled as he felt the sudden pelting of rain. Grumbling, he copied the reactions of his fellow rangers, turning into the woods. He put special care into tugging his crossbow towards him, away from the heresy of the rain. Wouldn't want it to get damaged another time. Already cost him quite a lot.

Absentmindedly catching the shuffling
thoughts of the group, Ha'zi was startled when he noticed the ones that Daugo had. Looking up at the gushing skies, the Haradrim tried to make out anything at all in the dreadful atmosphere.

During her travels Mirecyla wouldn’t delay on her practice. Every night before going to sleep or whenever she found some shade to rest in she would practice her powers. Making small animals such as rats and attempting to make them real and not dependent on her for life, she practiced changing her form. Attempting to change limbs into different parts of her giant or even different animals or appendages. One time aiming to create a sword arm like Miriel could do. She also didn’t skip on combat, creating solid knives of fear and throwing them at trees to aid her in ranged combat. This time fared to be different, after practicing she would doze off and found herself once again in the domain of her guardian “Mr. White, it’s been awhile.”

Daedoran stared in a mixture of shock and outrage at the bodies. These... these monstrosities, no, these corrupt creatures of hell had killed a babe. A being who had done nothing to the world and they slaughtered her like she was calf. How dare they dishonor the creations of the lord! “The price of the fallen, your lives...” he said out loud, mostly to himself but aimed at the Balrogs. Pointing his spear at the Balrogs he unleashed his power, the wood attached to his armor expanding and growing into a ball of wood that surrounded the host Maia warriors, but also offered places to shoot arrows out of. “On your orders sir!” He said looking to the replacement Eonwe

Dimitri dragged Aule to the sun itself and physically held him up to the sun, and considered just smashing the sun with a hardened fist to see if that'd work. But this was nothing compared to what appeared to the rage he felt when he saw those Maia. Sons of bitches! He knew they were involved in this. He tried to keep quiet and low.

Daugo's face was a mask of worry. "I-- I saw..." his eyes darted back up to the heavens. "You haven't been looking at the..." he sighed. "Forget it. It's probably just my shitty Hobbit eyes," he said unconvicingly.

Some of Mirecyla's experiments had been successful, with one of her rats running away and escaping on its own, while others, such as the arm-sword, had not been as fruitful, managing only to produce a disproportionately small claw that stuck out of her halved arm's elbow. Overall, though, she had been getting more skillful.
"Indeed. Though I have not been idle, and neither, I can see, have you. Gorthaur has sent you to the Morgul Vale. It is a bold move; the fear that still lurks in the crevices of that foul place is one of the strongest anywhere in Eä. We can use this to our advantage. You shall grow powerful, child, a match for lowly Maiar, even. The Deceiver knows this. It is why he sends you to the pass of Cirith Ungol."

”I see, I could luckily already affect some Maiar but this shall now prove how powerful I shall become.” She said, nodding her astral form before continuing “However this does worry me Mr. White. We both know what was on the Vale and who lived near or around it. Do you think that they’ll make me start to create an army?”

"It is no doubt a possibility. There are no Orcs left in those bitter hills, and the Nazgûl are no more, but you have seen what your powers can do. I can foresee two ways in which Sauron would choose to utilize your powers: he could make you channel the terror of Morgul into resurrecting phantoms of the Nine loyal to you... Or he could bid you to help Her multiply in her tunnels, create an army of spider-shaped beings born of fear and darkness. Either path would be fraught with peril, but opportunity would also present itself. And, surely, he will think of other options of his own. You must be wary, child, this will be the chance we have been waiting for, but it could easily go Sauron's way. Are you still willing to face him?"

He, too, was unconvinced. "Daugo, cut the crap. I doubt that you'd be this frightened over something you only think you saw. Spill the beans, mate."

”The Nazgûl Queen of Minas Morgul or the creator of the Eight Legged Legion... Although the first option does seem very interesting actually and I wouldn’t mind having them as servants it is very worrying I’ll admit that.” She said before halting at his last words “I-“ she grumbled was she ready to kill him? “Sauron was my master and was a father figure to me for a long time. But ever sense leaving Mordor I have come to despise him. I can only hope so am ready.” She said

"Let's hope for all our sakes that I only imagined the shape of a beast as massive as... as..." he searched for words, his sense of scale thrown off by its size, "a fuckin' mountain range," he settled on saying.

The white turned even emptier, as Aglarlom seemed to be thinking. "Good," it said eventually. "Good. I shan't be able to reach you when you enter the spider's lair, child, so have your wits about you. I will try to have one of our sympathizers contact you when you get there. A she-Orc. Do you have a problem with that race?"

”A she-Orc? I never knew there was such a thing as one of the female variant, I didn’t know they even had genders! But no, I’ll have no problem with her.”

His eyes widened. "Well damn... uh, I think it's quite worrying that you've caught sight of that, since- besides it's obvious terror- I'm pretty sure you're not one to have an active imagination- except when drunk, that is." Galador smirked, though it was overshadowed by permeating worry spreading out on his visage.

It had all been too fast for Dina to process. "Arandil wait!" She ran and touched his hand, "Please come back. Promise me you'll come back." Her eyes watered and softened upon him.

---------------------------------

"Just a storm," Furdin grumbled.
"Rain is a part of the day, Lady Tam. Sometimes we are blessed by it, other times we are not. Rain brings life to the earth. In the far south, there is a place called Harad where no rain falls. It is a dry and barren place with little life. Here in the north, there is life because of rain." Keratos told Tamara. He hurried their horses along with a soft yet prudent tap to its buttocks. Shin's horse was slowing down in the mud leaving him to tarry behind members of his own squad.

Daugo noticed that 'double-time' was precisely this. Beating their poor mounts into hastier movement. The party moved over the valley ridgeline and onto a plain. Before them, was a wall of trees and shrubbery that stretched from north to south.

"Stick together! We're entering the land of the elves!" Ostopher yelled out, his voice was barely audible over the downpour.

Thunder groaned throughout the skies above them. Should either Karoltai look up again, nothing would be visible through the thick mist of clouds. There was an abnormal untamed ferocity to the storm. Ha'zi felt his spine-chill in the winds that fluttered his cloak about. Droplets of water splashed his eyes which further added to the inconvenient annoyance of the cold.

--------------------------------

The wind hit Norio but its body entangled in the air and suddenly detached. His lower half trailing to the ground with Thoruk's wind while the upper surged towards the Dwarf and the woman.

Aranel groaned and moved her fist from Thoruk, causing him to drop, and focused it on Norio keeping him frozen in the air at bay. How was this thing still alive? It was clearly inhuman but Thoruk could not contemplate that as he fell down into the small pool of lava.

"Fuck-" Aranel flung Norio away and caught Thoruk mid-way above the pool.

"ARANEL!" He heard her name being screamed. It was Beren, he had freed his head from her hold and was screaming her name like a mad man. "ARANEL! ARANEL!"

-------------------------------

The eagles flew after Iver. Although he was larger he was quite fast, yet, not quick enough to outfly the Eagles of Manwe.

Soon many flew alongside him, some flying ahead, with many still behind. They were surrounding him inside the clouds.

-----------------------------

Aule's large body began to warm quickly and although Dimitri was hardened stone, he could feel the temperature rise. The weight of the Vala on him slowly eased and Dimitri saw the large figure slowly turn around.

"Now you die, putrid filth of-" a javelin hit one of Vana's Ainu. They burst into flames right next to Kodya.

Two of the Balrogs charged towards them. One flapping its black crimson wings and the other rushing with whip and hammer. An arrow flew at Undolog as she saw fourteen of her opponents stand their ground, defying her mere presence. Is that how weak they think of them? Had their prowess and destruction in the War of Wrath not been sufficient enough to garner weakness in their hearts? Now more than ever was the time to prove herself.

Mineltar and six of his scions formed a small shield wall as Lungorthin charged. Their spears filed through azure shields and the emblem of Manwe stood defiant of Morgoth's malice as it barrelled toward them.

Meanwhile across the battlefield, Vingilote veered away from the three-headed dragon. The vessel's shield began to crackle with energy as the Silmaril fired again but the dragon was too quick, flying above the shot and diving down after Earendil with its massive talons outstretched. It grabbed the ship yet the magical barrier forbade it from direct contact and the beast's talons were blasted with vast energy that burnt against its size, electrical zaps charring it. Yet Izrandor did not cease her grip of the vessel. She dove taking Vingilote with her towards the ether's barrier with increasingly destructive haste.

Vana's seed bomb evaporated before it came within a meter of Morgoth. With her stood a number of her Maia and Manwe's scions.
"This is your last day in Ea, Morgoth!" One of the scions exclaimed.

"Is that so?" Morgoth's voice was dry and he seemed to be holding back a smile.

"Dumb birds, they did all of the work for us" Iver thought to himself as a memory of his brother went through his buzzing head.
"And so, the wolves split their pray into two groups by simply scaring it" His brother told him as they sailed east on Iver's transpiration vessel. His brother was ordered to make an inspection visit to one of the eastern outposts after some complainant letters were sent about the local lord who was claimed to supply the soldiers with old, bad cheap equipment to gain some extra coins. Iver had bought a new shipment of Mirk-oak he planned on selling in dorwinion and offered his brother to travel with him instead of taking the shitty transportation the army would provide.
"Those who are strong and have power slowly make the leading group while the wounded, the young and incapable in general create a group in the back. That's the group the wolves attack" His brother continued his story while Iver was writing some calculations on a paper.
His brother, his dead brother, was one of the smartest people Iver knew. He and his father were the "wise guy" type, knowing how to outsmart people and abuse the system, but his brother, the family's pride, he was knew what was the right thing to do, like their grandpa. "If only i was more like him" Iver thought to himself as he executed his plan.

Inside a cloud, in the dark, with the slower and weaker eagles in one place and the faster eagles ahead of him, Iver preformed his scheme. just as the last lightning hit, allowing everyone to see for a few seconds before everything turned black, Iver twisted his wings, and quickly flew up, using the speed he observed to preform a loop and end up above the group of the back. He would then flap his wings with force, sending him down into the mass of eagles, folding his wings and preparing his arms, legs and mouth to hit as many eagles as possible.

"Get yar ass moving, ya old mutt" Shin mumbled angrily and encouraged his horse to move faster with a nice slap on the ass.

Vana thought for a moment, it seems that her companions had hard time fighting the Balrogs and she gave up killing both the greatest monster the world has ever seen and the dark lord, but maybe... "help Earendil" Vana ordered 6 of the Maiar who stayed with her, leaving only 4 by her side.
"Indeed Morgoth, Manwe gather the rest of our brothers and the armies of the west to destroy you once and for all and you stand here, already outnumbered. Give up now and maybe, just maybe, Manwe will give you the mercy of fast death" Vana said, they needed more time and she hoped Morgoth stayed the egoist cunt he was and will give her his own monologue.

"Hm, okay" Tamara would say with a tone-mix between distrust and acceptance as they rode on. She had a bad feeling coming up her stomach as they rode through the bad weather with their horses, yet it could've just been her stomach once again.

--------------

"HA, bugger" Thoruk would shout before Norio split his body into two parts, "What..." he would mutter before almost falling into the lava underneath him as the invisible force that held him let loose. "Oh no.." he would struggle with his arms as Aranel caught him again. "Thank y..." thoruk was disturbed mid-thanking as the other crazy ginger shouted around like he just broke out of her hold. "Fuck.." Thoruk would mumble concentrating at the ground underneath him, "If just" he thought, trying to shoot the lava at Beren. This was his chance, if Aranel could hold him at bay for some more moments.

--------------

As his fellows charged into battle and two of the balrogs were heading directly for them Artos would look up at this ugly beast. "If this isn't my chance... these creatures are dumb indeed" he would think, his arms held against the sky, aiming for the balrogs' wings he would charge up a ice-beam and launch it directly at its left wing.

He held her hands and kissed her one last time. "I promise ill be back, and together we shall live together, in peace. And this is a promise I intend to keep. Not even the Valar or Melkor can make me break this promise." And with that he departed, heading south-west, towards safety, and his destination.
[rule]
"Steady," he thought to himself. "steady..",Arteriel had awaited a moment to battle one of these beasts for a long time. Now his wish was drawing nearer and nearer.

Daugo shuddered. "It's been a long journey, I'm probably jusy tired," he said, not wanting to cause Galador undue worry. He spurred his pony to go faster, pulling up his cloak over his head in hopes of keeping a little bit warm and dry, and squinted towards the forest they were approaching. "Did he say 'elves'?"
[rule]

"The Orcs are creatures like Elves and Men and all beasts. Her name is Hagâllakh, she will be greeting you when you enter Morgul Vale. She is flighty and distrusting, but your partnership shall be fruitful, I think. Go forth, then, child, and may wisdom and courage guide your steps. I shall contact you again once you have carried out Sauron's business in the vale."

[rule]
Undolog let out an unearthly howl, letting herself drop from the air as she thundered towards the Maiar. She landed heavily on the sky, taking advantage of her impetus to continue her charge, javelin in one hand and clawed fist in the other, fast approaching the insect called Artos. She let loose one of her projectiles as she closed the distance between them, aiming at the enemy's midsection.

Assuming that the large figure was Aule, since everyone aside from him was even larger than him, Dimitri let go of him slowly, but made sure he stayed in physical contact with the sun. "Please don't hit the Adornian, please don't hit the Adornian, please don't hit the Adornian..." he prayed. t

"It seems so," he grunted. "They better not be as unwelcoming as that Glorfindel."
[rule]
Ha'zi winced, then blinked his eyes a few times to ward off the invading droplets. Once recovered from the stinging rain, he continued with his group, pressing himself to ride closer to the rest.

It
seems Daugo had been mistaken. Yet... he didn't really believe it The storm felt oddly supernatural in nature... as if something was happening above. Something worrying...

Maybe he could find out? Wanting to test it, he worked on silencing the other blurbs of mental energy around him, and instead channeled his power into trying to detect anything up in the sky.

”Wait we don’t even know how long that will be! Also what do you mean you think our partnership will be fruitful?! Are you trying to discourage me?” She asked him, however she could already feel his hold lessening on her
——————————
With the bubble of wood surrounding him and the other Maia and no one else giving the order he would start to walk forward “Advance! Bring upon thine holy wrath of our lord and lady upon these fell creatures of the Void!”
