VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Yet...was it truly safety...

Arandil managed to traverse the woodland terrain for an hour before hearing more noises. It appeared something was trailing him...

-------------------------

The party was concealed beneath the trees and sheltered by the heavy rains.

"Let's camp up ahead. The horses cannot make it much farther in this weather." Ostopher told his apprentice-boy who yelled out the order. "HALT! DISMOUNT! CAMP AHEAD!"

Ha'zi did not hear the order as everything drowned out around him. His mind went blank and suddenly he felt himself floating, rising, ascending into the heavens above. He felt...

Turmoil.

Suddenly images flooded his mind.

Water. Rainfall. Storm clouds. Within them, a winged beast chased by great eagles. Above. Higher. Much higher. A world of darkness lit by stars. A ruined cottage. A broken chariot. Bodies. A protector. A mother. A child. Eonwe. Dead.

Dimitri. A large burning globe. Damaged bodies. Powerful spirits. Morgoth. The Trickster surrounded. Fire demons. Ainur. Combat. A flying ship. A Silmaril. A Mariner. And a three-headed dragon...

Ha'zi was overcome by overpowering emotions. Rage. Hate. Disdain. Pain. Grief. Pathos. He blacked out.

Daugo heard a thump as a thunderous crackling erupted in the skies. To his right, lay Ha'zi face-first in a puddle of mud.

--------------------

"ARA-AAAGGHHHHH!!!!!" Beren started screaming as a splash of lava hit him and began dissolving his legs. His entire body caught fire and Thoruk heard sickening cries as the ginger's skin began to melt.

Aranel looked from Norio to the ginger then at Thoruk with a look of horror. "Yo-you fool! What have you-" Her words were cut short as something massive went through the air, passing Thoruk, grabbing Aranel, flying through a couple of trees and vanishing in the undergrowth. Whatever it was he could not even begin to describe as everything had happened so quickly and Thoruk had no time to think as he was dropped once more. Heat sizzling his bottom as he descended into the pool of lava below.

------------------

Gwaihir and Landroval neared the target, their talons outstretched as they rushed in for a piercing blow. Then darkness returned and suddenly their target was no longer in their grasp.

"What?" Landroval cawed.
"The beast-" Gwaihir's neck twisted around in search for it as lightning flashed again. His eagle eyes widened as he saw it descend upon his convocation. He cawed loudly but it was too late.

The Flying beast caught an eagle in its grasp, its talons gripping its wings. Its own wings fluttered about, smacking and thrashing surrounding eagles out of the air. Iver felt their bodies smash, crack and slide off his rock-solid wings which sent strong blasts of air at the surrounding birds causing them to flounder and fall around him. The eagle in his grip let out a squeak of pain. Iver felt immensely powerful. This feeling...being unstoppable...it was beyond anything he could imagine. Nothing came close to it. He...he could take on the world. With Shiva...

"Meneldor!" Gwaihir screeched as his kin was seized by the beast.

The eagle Iver clutched squealed. It was so small. An insect...he could feel its pathetic body struggle against him. It was nothing to Iver. He...controlled life. And now it was the time to prove it to these feeble sons of bitches.

-----------------

Aule turned around. His eyes gleamed with the flames of forges. Dimitri felt an overwhelming power as the figure strode past him with a mere, "I humbly thank you."

He paused to glance at Telimekhtar and something came across Aule's features. Whether this was disappointment or sadness, Dimitri could not tell. "I will grant thee a single desire. Name it now or forever hold your peace, Forochelrim." Aule said without even turning to Dimitri.

Meanwhile, Undulog was struck by an icy shard which shattered upon her wing slowing her down for a brief moment. Kodya's arrow broke on impact with her other wing. Their weapons were ineffective against her. Daedoran's wooden protection rose and blocked the javelin that flew at Kodya. It penetrated through but its momentum was lost and it did not reach its target. Under Deadoran's wooden barricade, the Maia grouped together.

Now Undolog faced off against eight of them. Lungorthin barrelled into Mineltar and his scions shield-wall. Their spears broke and burnt as it cut through them, hitting Mineltar with the whip with such force that it flung the Captain into the broken cottage. Lungorthin's hammer smashed the Scion standing beside Arteiel before swinging it at him.

"It will be done, my Lady!" Six of her Maia vanished. Morgoth stood there for a moment. His face contorted and suddenly he began to laugh. A maddening hysterical laugh.

"You believe that you can face me? You forget sister. I am Melkor, King of the World, Master of the Fates of Arda. You are nothing to me."

------------------------------

What is this Uroloki?

It was the only thought that came to Earendil as he was thrown, gravity taking effect as Vingilote was spun around in the dragon's grasp. He released his blade and hastily took hold of the ship's mast as it crashed into the ether, breaking the floor and falling into the atmosphere, the dragon following down after it.

Dimitri was caught completely off-guard by this option. He knew that he could not resurrect Tulkas, as much as his heart desired this. Nor could be just snap his fingers and wipe Morgoth from history in an instant. He could not speak to Eru Illuvatar, Blessed be His Holy Name, nor could he stop this infernal war once and for all. So what would be something that would benefit him now and in the future? After a moment of thought, Dimitri came upon something that suited his desires and spoke it to Aule.

Iver's face couldn't be described other than satisfied smug smirk of a cat who just took a shit on the carpet and now watch the human master race getting his ass off the bed in 4 AM to clean it up. The hunters became the hunt so fast, those insects of Manwe, symbol of his might, scrambled before him like leaves in the wind, nothing more than little flies.
He heard the caw of surprise, then caws of confusion and pain as he sent the eagles scrambling in the wind, in complete mess, they weren't a threat anymore, especially not the one he caught. "not so big and mighty after all" Iver thought to himself as the eagle cawed in pain, his smirk became wider as he felt satisfaction from it. With Shiva on his side, even the mightiest creatures of middle earth, the creations of the Valar, the monsters of Melkor and the servants of Manwe were nothing more than a nuisance. He moved the bird closer to his face and continued to slowly squeeze the little bird, he will show those eagles that they can do nothing against him.
But as he slowly squeezed the bird, watching it squealing in pain, it felt less like squashing a bug and more like beating a little puppy, the feeling of control and power slowly were replaced with disgust and fear, did he truly enjoy it? Did he really felt satisfaction from hurting and abusing weak and small creatures? Did he become the monster Morgoth created back in the first age?
Iver slowly loosened his grip around the eagle, not dropping it to the ground. He felt shame due to the joy he felt earlier and fear that this was maybe something more than the excitement of the battle and slowly lost his will to murder all of the eagles around hi. "I am sorry" he would screech in a sad tune, flying in place, opening his hand completely allowing the eagle to either leave or stay if he couldn't.

[rule]
"Why do you think i sent my Maiar away?" Vana would say and add "The titles you use, all of them were given to you by yourself, Morgoth, the dark enemy, destroyer of the trees Ungoliant's bitch. And while i may be nothing compare to you, Manwe will soon be here and put you in your place once and for all"

The ginger's cries sounded like sugar in Thoruk's ears and the images of his body full of fire, melting, ah, this realy was a big relief for Thoruk before suddenly, Aranel's words hit him and something hit her. "What the..." the invisible force around him dissapeared and he was about to fall into the lava. "Shit" he would mumble as he creates a hole in the middle of the lava pit, leading it away, making space for him to land if, of course if, he would totally fail at the attempt again to glide down slowly, creating a breeze of wind beneath him.

"Yeah," Daugo said, scoffing. He was just starting to get a sense of the woods around him when he head a thump behind him. His head instinctively twisted back, and he saw Ha'zi's shape lying on the ground. "Ho, Haz!" he said, dismounting and walking over to him over the muddy mulch. He bent over a little to get a closer look, gently patting his cheek to see if he was conscious. "You there, my friend?"

[rule]
It was no use. Mr. White, or Aglarlom, or whoever it was, was gone. Mirecyla woke up once again in fair Ithilien, amid the sound of chirping birds and the smell of fresh pine, with a new understanding of her task at hand: she would raise an army for Sauron with her augmented powers, but would she be strong enough to bend them to her will and defeat her master? She would know soon enough; according to her map, Morgul was less than three days' easy riding.

[rule]
"HA!" screeched Undolog, embers floating from her mouth as she did. "THE DIRT-FUCKERS THINK A LITTLE," she slashed with fiery claws at the barrier, "WOOD," she took another jab at it, "CAN STOP," she leaned over and tried to rip out a large chunk with her maw, "MEEE?"

Mirecyla grumbled and laid back down after looking at the map she had never thought she would be the one to literally create and lead armies. That was more a Tytus thing, that fucking bastard. If she saw him again she’d rip his arms off and shove them up his ass. He may of been their chieftain but he was no true leader. He didn’t know how the world worked, peace? Peace is the word of a fools hope. She thought to herself remembering the time in Mordor and the tremors she heard when she was in the dungeon. Scoffing she would stand up and stretch, going to her pack to start breakfast. She had three days to practice and expand on her powers, three days to grow powerful enough to where even Shelob feared her.

Returning to her campfire from the night before Mirecyla would sit on a log she had dragged over setting her food on a mass of twigs and leaves. However she wished to try something new, something that would earn her Shelobs trust for whatever it was worth. Looking deep inside herself Mirecyla closed her eyes and outstretched her arm in front of her, palm up. She would then go to find a fear of fire and focus that fear into her palm, hoping to create a small flame
——————————
Daedoran flinched with each hit against the barrier, the recoil hitting him and rattling his bones. Yet the bitch truly was stupid “The will of Lady Vana flows through my veins, the ancient trees bend to my will as needed, and now they shall bend you.” He murmured with a smirk, urging the wood to suddenly twist and lunge forward into the Balrog to create a new type a shape similar to a circle of webs.
——————————
Ranzolg would roar a challenge to the Maia of Manwe and Vana, slamming his Morningstar into the ether as the battle raged on. Daring them to attempt to even take their lords brother. If they tried they would surely fail

Arandil feared it was a foe this time and so he hid in bushes then went down as low as he could and tried to cover himself with the scents around him so his own could not be easily distinguished. But he did not know if this foolish idea would work.

[rule]
Arteriel attempted to dodge the attack, but there was a doubt inside him, that even his speed could not possibly be enough. He was not ready to take a full blow, he thought in those milliseconds of time he had to react.

It was cold and the night had grown darker in the forest. Something crept up Arandil's spine. He heard voices through the bush. He couldn't recognize them but they were approaching...

-------------------------

"What's his problem?" One of the rangers asked riding up to Ha'zi's mount.

Ha'zi's eyes were shut tight. His eyelids roved wildly as if he were experiencing a nightmare. His cheek was warm to the touch but suddenly, Daugo felt something run through them. A bone-chilling shock that caused his hands to involuntarily light with fire, burning Ha'zi's face. The flames awoke the boy, his eyes fluttering opening, emerging from that horrid experience. Those images firmly seared into his mind.

The feeling was so fleeting that he could not even register it yet it left Daugo in a dour mood.

"What the-"
"Hobbit, your hands." The rangers called out. It was the first time they witnessed such a thing. Orange flames exuding directly from the halfling's palms.

Galador, Shin, Mateus, Furdin, Keratos, and Tamara noticed the modest phenomenon.

----------------------

A gust of wind barely caught Thoruk and dropped him onto solid earth away from the lava pool. Above him, Beren's body fell into the lava and was consumed by it. Meanwhile, the upper half of Norio flew down with a wailing cry edging its way toward the Dwarf.

-------------------

The eagle fell from Iver's claws and its brethren caught it and flew away with a number of shrieks. The other eagles backed away, wings flapping, their sight upon Iver until-

KRAAAAAAAAAKKKKK

Vingilote was flung through the atmosphere, falling as a gargantuan monster dragged it down. Vivid beams like lightning blasted the ship's shielding, melting it away like onion layers peeling one by one, emerging from the orifices of the creature.

This...thing was greater than anything Iver had ever seen...and it was dragging down the ship that had just nearly killed Iver with ease. The eagles cawed to one another before rushing in toward the large grey mass.

-----------------------------

Aule touched Dimitri and he vanished from the ether. Telimekhtar's body disappeared and so too did the Anor.

Arteriel was struck by the whip, it wrapped around his neck and flamed burning through his skin. A number of his brothers used this opportunity to slash at Lungorthin's hide.

Meanwhile, Undolog set Deadoran's entire wooden barricade aflame and broke through it. A Maia ran at her swinging his blade while another prepared some sort of vegetative substance. Kodya, Artos and Deadoran watched as their numbers fell.

On the opposing side of the ether, Morgoth's smile dissipated and was replaced by what could only be disappiontment. "Pity. It may have been entertaining to watch you turn on him here. Either way, I'll see him soon enough. You on the other hand," He raised his fingers and suddenly the Maia around Vana were sucked toward him. In a single moment their souls were ripped from their forms and flew like a current of water into Morgoth's mouth. He consumed them with a simple gulp.

"Will die." Vana felt a force tighten around her, pulling her in towards Morgoth.

"Eru damn them, can't they just give up and admit they lost me?" he thought to himself as he heard the voices. He tried with slow movements to get rid of whatever was on his back and with caution he tried not to make no sound so he wouldn't be heard, but he was realizing that he could not escape them. But he would try to nonetheless.
[rule]
A scream of agony, pain and fury was unleashed from Arteriel. He tried to run with the whip still around his neck trying to stab the beast's foot with his saber, though it was a foolish idea, he had no other option but to try and endure the pain. No matter the cost, they had to kill these obstacles in the way to get to their target. He would gladly give his life for his duty.

"No!" Kodya shouted in horror- and surprise- as the soldier by his side was obliterated, then an even greater terror happened: the wall. A massive, foul Balrog burst through, causing many of his brothers to start dropping like flies to the monster. Cursing, he fired many arrows in the direction of the Balrog: some, the ones that headed closer, were to attack it; others nearby were to propel his comrades facing it to safety. He put away his bow after this, and concentrated on controlling his plants to bring them to safety and to impede the beast.
[rule]
"Twit got too nervous to face his mass-murdering lover," Shin murmured to himself. He stayed on his steed while the rest went to investigate the boy, who looked even more like shit when he fell into the mud, deciding to inspect his crossbow rather than get involved at all.
[rule]
"Daugo! What's with your hands?" Galador exclaimed, pointing frantically at the palms of the hobbit. The ranger began to back away from his companion, weirded out by this occurrence.
[rule]
For the second time that miserable year, the Haradrim collapsed as a new series of visions crashed into his consciousness, like a mental warhammer coming down upon his imaginary kneecaps. Eonwe was dead... a baby and a mother, raped and annihilated... a gargantuan beast... Dimitri... Morgoth and his servants... the Trickster... "Dear Eru..." he cried, overwhelmed with a cycle of shock, terror, sadness, and fury.

"Eonwe... Eonwe..." Ha'zi repeated numbly. He was dead. Their original protector, their saviour, their friend was dead. And, from what he could infer, because of Morgoth. Morgoth...

He cried out again into the echoless void. Why was
he, this... this monster, the key to Arda's survival? Why Morgoth? And why must he protect such a bast-

"Fuck!" Ha'zi screamed, his feelings falling away as flames scorched him, instantly freeing the lad from his episode.

"What the--" he yelped, snatching his hands away from Ha'zi. He held his arms outstretched, careful not to touch anyone, and watched his hands pulse with heat and sizzle as drops of rain fell on them and evaporated instantly. "I don't... Agh," he focused, trying to calm his mind and control his powers as he was usually perfectly able to do, though he found his mood challenging and unpleasant to work with.

[rule]
As Mirecyla concentrated, she felt the fear of fire all around her: in the birda flying overhead, in the bugs crowling under the mat of dead leaves, in the foxes and deer of the forest, and even in the boughs of ancient trees and youthful ferns. Their fright pooled in her hand, and she felt her palm getting hot. It got hotter and hotter, until her hand started steaming and her skin getting seared. No flames came, lacking proper fuel, but the heat was there, and she was definitely not immune to it.

[rule]
"BURN, LITTLE TWIGS, BURN," Undolog screamed maniacally, forming a javelin and throwing it with might at the simpleton that was stinging her with annoying arrows. She reached with a clawed hand and tried to grab the closest Maia by its head and get it off the ground.

Iver stared at it for a moment before snapping back and looked at the eagles, the ship and the beast. He would fly a little bit closer but still keep distance since he didn't know what to do.
[rule]
Vana watched in horror as morgoth simply sucked the soul out of her companions. It was bad, he was way stronger than he was even back in the prime of his power. Vana looked at the other Maiar who she sent to fight the balrog, some were dead, some were dying and some were set ablaze, they all failed.
This mission was a failure from the beginning, Manwe did not show up, Morogth was too strong and his new monster occupied their heavy guns. If she they would stay there they would all die to no avail, they will only strengthen Morgoth.
And so, when Morgoth started pulling her towards him, Vana decided that retreat was the only option to prevent Morgoth from getting any stronger. "retreat" She would shout and tempt to teleport herself and the remaining Maiar as far away as possible with Valinor as her destination.

Daedoran took a step backwards as his barricade was burned and torn and his fellow Maia killed. Only he and two others remained an she could tell the day would not end with victory, however he had to stand and fight! Taking the Chained Fang he would charge forward and swing the blade around his head, once he got close enough he would go to duck/slide under the legs of the Balrog and stab her leg with his spear, letting the fang do some work also if he succeeded
—————-
Ranzolg waited to fight
—————
Mirecyla starts to panic and put her hand against the wood and leaves while also breaking her focus. “Shit! This wasn’t how it was supposed to go!” She said to herself while silently praising herself. She had generated a different power from her fear. With enough practice maybe she would even be able to gain control over fire!

"How in Durins name can ya still make these ugly noises after I beat ya ass twice ya moron?!" Thoruk would say angrily, trying to blast it- well, this thing- or rather what was left of it, away like a canon using his wind.

--------------

"W-what?" Tamara would mutter. What was happening? Out of nowhere the hands of the small man began lighting up in orange flames. "I-is he burning?" she would ask, noone in particular. "Someone help him!" she would say, worried, not knowing if it would hurt him or not. Well, the Hobbit didn't seemed like it bothered him, but she wasn't realy looking at his face in her hesitation. Training, training and more training and still she couldn't overcome herself. Shy and frightened like she had never changed.

--------------

Artos would glance at the balrog, taking the beam like it was nothing and the others, his companions, getting slaughtered. "This is Vana's will" he would say to himself, convincing the part of him wanting to retreat that he had to stand his ground, right here and right now. As he saw one of his companions getting preasured and his wooden shield getting burnt away he would attempt to help him, shooting a non-stopping ice beam at the balrog. It was just then, when he heard Vana's call and her beeing pulled towards him, towards their dark enemy.

As Arandil felt his back, whatever it was tensed, and slowly slid up to the nape of his neck.

"Oi, I found footprints!" He heard a man's voice.
"Where do they lead?" Another man asked.

Those accents...Arandil knew them well...

Lossarnach accents.

-------------------

Keratos hit Shin lightly, which was enough to cause some minor swelling in the leaner man's left arm. "Watch your tongue." He then turned to Tamara, "Shh, don't worry, Lady Tam. See."

Daugo's flames slowly transpired until they were but a single match, radiating from his index fingers.

Ostopher appeared, his mount moving through the others, and glanced upon the two Karoltai with displeasure. "Half-man, what is the meaning of this?" His voice was stern and unappreciative. "Why have you held us up?" He looked to Ha'zi who was laying in the dirt, steam rising from his cheek which had healed over in an instant.

WHABAM.

Thirty meters away from them was an explosion of sorts.

Telimekhtar's body lay over the soil beside the glowing figure of Dimitri. A large warhammer with rustic runes sizzled in his right hand and he was rejuvenated with power and strength that very few men would ever come to possess. He was a champion of Aule. Not his exact choice of Vala, yet, not too shabby. It appeared he had spawned in a large forest.

-----------------

Norio was flung away by a blast of air that carried him so high that he passed through the clouds. Surely that must have killed him yet even then something like that would obviously survive. Thoruk heard the sounds of combat coming from the direction Aranel had been seized by. Yet before he had time to think the lava before him began to bubble.

---------------

"In the name of thy Lord, Eru Illuvatar, bless my-" The ship rocked back and forth whilst Earendil held onto the mast with one hand and to his shield with another. His longsword was lost to him. Above, the beast gripped the vessel's shielding like a pebble in its talons and blasted the shielding over and over, relentlessly chipping away at it with each strike. Its three heads rotating and charging up with each blast. Purple, gold and ivy green flames lighting up the stormy night. Earendil grit his teeth and with all his might raised the shield and angled it at the creature. The shielding would not hold long. This would either be his greatest triumph or his downfall. And so he willed his strength into the silmaril that glistened upon his shield.

Iver witnessed as the winged dragon blasted the Mariner's ship continuously until the shielding crackled and crumbled, leaving it defenseless. At that moment, the triple-headed beast reared its ugly heads and its chest beamed with light which traveled through its individual necks.

-----------------

A fiery javelin smashed through Kodya's skull, bits of brain tissue flying everywhere.

Before Undolog could reach the closest Maia, an ice beam hit her wing and slowed her down for a second. In that moment, Deadoran's spear pierced Undolog's leg, causing her pain. Three others charged Undolog, one slashing her wing, another slicing through her outreaching hand and the third flinging a vegetative spawn at her face. It burnt up upon impact, releasing spores that blinded her sight and blocked her senses. She was discombobulated.

Ranzolg witnessed this and saw that Lungorthin was being swarmed by three Scions. Another was being strangled to death by his whip which was burning through his neck. They were losing...

Vana's order to retreat was not acknowledged, in fact, it was more so ignored. Without Mineltar's presence and the carnage taking place her words were lost. And she would be too...

"Die-" Suddenly Morgoth was hit by a flying axe, causing him to flinch. Vana dropped to her knees and a figure strode up beside her. She recognized her savior instantly.

"Hello there."

Morgoth ripped the axe out and threw it down. "GENERAL KENOBI! Aulë!"

Dimitri flexed his muscles. Such... power. Such... strength! And when he gripped his warhammer, it felt familiar. He held it up to the light, and saw the all too familiar runes of Fatebreaker, the ancestral warhammer of his family. The weapon glowed with a faint fire, like the embers of a forge, and the runes filled with with a new energy that pulsed like a heart. And now to see if the last part was granted... There was a faint tingling on his face as a full beard appeared, and then disappear in the span of a few seconds. With a wide grin, Dimitri knew that this was a mighty boon and a gift from Aule, as compensation for the death of his beloved master, Tulkas.
Then, there were voices not too far away. Instincts kicked in and Dimitri automatically saw to his comrade. He jogged over and picked up the large man, carrying him over his shoulder. He then moved away from the area, through the forest, as quietly as he could. He needed to see who these voices were. Perhaps they were friendly. But even if he was now a Chosen of Aule, he had to be careful.

Daedoran would rip the blade out and back up before roaring a battle cry and charging forward upon getting close he would go to transform into his deer form, antlers aimed to pierce the Balrogs back
———————-
Ranzolg looked at the carnage with disdain the comrades were being slaughtered and yet he had his orders to guard he body. He looked at the others with him, surely they were enough “We cannot allow them victory!” He ushered to the others before charging to deal with the three scions, charging and swinging his Morningstar in a wide arc

Iver got closer to the flying ship, staying out of the danger zone between the dragon's heads and the ship.
[rule]
"Aule?" Vana asked, confused. Manwe claimed him to be like Morgoth and the trickster, but here he is, fighting Morgoth. She would slowly get up on her legs, not knowing if to just retreat with her troops and leave Aule alone with morgoth or maybe help her minions and try to finish off the trickster while Aule distract Morgoth.

After realizing that those were not foes that were near him, rather soldiers of Gondor, he got straight up and and raised his hands. "I am unarmed, and I am being hunted.I am a Gondorian like you..." he said. But a panic suddenly griped hold of him as whatever was on his back made it to his nape. He tried to get rid of it in front of the Lossarnach men hoping that maybe they would help him with whatever he was dealing with.
[rule]
Arteriel knew not if he would survive or not, but he was a diversion for the Balrog, and that much would be enough. He pulled out his blade and tried to cut the whip so that maybe he could escape certain death.
