VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Same for you. I've been gone far too long, having to handle a whole bunch of unplanned unpleasantness along the way. We certainly have a lot to discuss... Nice job with the improvements, by the way. I'm not so sure how effective they'll be, but they're certainly something. Oh, and you really shouldn't miss Thoruk- he pulled some real idiotic shit so I gave him and his dad the boot. I maaay not have been thinking too sensibly at the time, but that's that," Ha'zi regailed mentally.

Oh great. Now the Guardian's among the ranks of the noble pussies. What a fucking suck-up, Shin thought in regards to
Sigeric, focusing his saltiness over getting defeated by a teen elsewhere.

It had been a long trek, but finally, he was back to Minas Tirith, City of the King and capital of mighty Gondor. God, he hated this place. Outside of this place, beyond Rammas Echor, was true Gondor. A land of farmers, craftsmen, and hunters, each trying to get by in this world. The nobles didn't give a shit about them all. They were content with sitting in their pretty little houses, high up above the masses, with their whores and foreign wine. If he could, he'd toss each one of them off the cliffs they built their houses on and ransack their houses to help those that really needed it. One day, that might happen. But not this day, his personal desires for revenge were set aside for two things.

Tamara was one of them. Over the past few weeks, he had seen much that he saw in Teli. The same speed and strength, the incredible martial skill, the dedication to friends. It warmed his heart to know that part of him lived on, somehow. But the man Kerastos worried him. Not because he was a threat, but rather because he was too protective. Not entirely bad, since it gave him more time to think up weapons and such for the coming battles. But when the time came when battle awaited, he was afraid that the man wouldn't let her go. Something had could damage the group. He kept an eye on her, but ensured that his presence wasn't noticed too much. But soon, he had to talk to her about Teli.

The other thing was his fellow giants. He had been gone for quite a while, and in that time, he had missed a lot. He made a real effort to reconnect with his comrades. A vital part of a good team was unity, something that it seemed the giants lacked.

Then there was Sigeric. He was always a good man, but a bit arrogant. All those highborn cunts were. But now he looked different. He was dressed up in the same clothing a fat noble would wear to a brothel. He sat like he had a stick up his arse. And then, there was his eyes. They looked like something had left him and been replaced. Replaced by something that tried so hard to be like it, but couldn't quite match him. Dimitri watched him intently, and waited for him to speak. When he did, the same applied. It was close, but not the same as he once was.

We'll watch him like the NSA.

''Your grace,'' Arandil spoke up to the King. ''All of these men, they witnessed my memories. All of them have seen what i've seen, what i've gone through. But, I have some things to ask. I ask to be pardoned for leaving the army so abruptly without even mentioning it to any higher ups. But I also ask of you to let me speak and tell you of what has occurred over the past months. All the men have seen it, but it would be best that the man that lived the events, describe said events. Is it not?''

Endo nodded reluctantly somewhat anxious to return to his home. Cardiloc felt him envision a place and they both appeared in a forested area overlooking a field. A set of wooden cabins dotted the distance.

"Speak your mind. You are still a man of Gondor, my kinsmen, are you not?" Aragorn replied rhetorically.

Mateus upon returning to gondor would feel greatly relieved but traumatized from the recent events before and would continue to question what happened discussing it with his comrades.

"What in..." Thoruk would wonder as both he and his father were sent off of Ha'zi's giant.

"This little brat..." he'd think looking up to see his giant fly off. "Stay calm father, give me a few seconds." he'd say before concentrating.

"Now that shit again..." he'd think, trying to make them a pillow out of wind to slowly glide them down onto the ground.

Tamara seemed to still be sad about Telimektar's death for a few days before returning to her old self. But she didn't just swipe of the memories about what he heard from him in her head.

"Never give up, even when your foe is before you."

And that's what she remembered as she trained with Keratos and the other relentlessly.

To her own surprise she beat Keratos in her first try and jumped around like a little child in happiness. But this was just the start as she beat every single one of them, although she felt like she had no experience at all. These words couldn't have that much impact, could they?

She helped wherever she could and loved to train her abilities with the sword. She allmost felt like she was a part of them, a real knight after a month had gone by.

As they reached the outskirts of their homeland about 2 months after this chaos she had witnessed she almost forgot all of it besides her 'mentor' as she loved to call him since after his words she seemed to be stronger than ever, feeling like she could finally protect someone.

The wonderfull look of the golden fields infront of her made her heart beat faster, the slight winds blowing through her hair and through the mass amount of goldish-looking wheat straws that bent towards them, slightly gave her a feeling that she had finally returned to her home-city....

They passed the north-gate and into the city, seeing many warriors of different races as it seemed, all united in the white city of gondor.

This was beautifull sight for her as this was the opposite of what she had witnessed months ago. This was nothing but pure peace and it warmed her heart as they rode through the streets of a newly looking minas-tirith and she remembered her old life, rushing through her head like a little flashback.

"It was a simple one..." she'd say to herself, yet enjoying to be were she was right now.

Enjoying the view further as they moved up the levels, everything getting more beautifull they suddenly came to a stop as rangers seemed to be waiting for them, leading them towards the king as it seemed.

As they reached the top and she went by the white tree to enter the war council room she took the white leaf out of her pocket and held it tight. "May this be my reminder to both of you." she'd say to herself, thinking of both men that seemed to care about her, Keratos and Telimektar.

She'd put it away as the doors oppened and she went quiet as they approached the king. She would watch in awe as all the highly ranked people stated what had happened and stayed quiet throughout the whole conversations, enjoying that she was back in her home town.

Cardiloc glanced around at his surroundings, then he turned back to Endo. “Find our what you can about Berethor and Endo, then meet me back here. I’ll be watching in the skies as an eagle. And if you wish to stay, so be it. Just make sure you meet me back here in a few hours and tell me what you’ve gathered.” Cardiloc explained to Endo, before looking up at the sky and teleporting there. He bit himself on the lip and imagined a lithe 5m Eagle form armed with razor sharp teeth and claws, transforming into such.

''That I am your grace. Over the past months much has happened and chaos has erupted. What every soul in this room most likely knows, is that those shifters are coming for us. They are going to strike Gondor and try to kill every single last one of us. I had lived with these people for a short time, and though I suspected some of them as true monsters and fiends, I befriended others. The time came for them to duel for the leadership of all of them, and in the end, the redheaded she-devil named Miriel won out. At the very moment of her victory , she declared that they would invade Gondor and take back their brothers.'' He paused for a brief moment. Looking around the room, at every soldier, every giant, every guard.

''Perhaps what I did was foolish, or perhaps I only quickened the inevitable, but I did not stand down as they were rallying and preparing themselves. I stood by my kin, and for that, I was chased down and knocked out. I was tied to a table, and next to me laid a kinsman of ours. His name was Marco. One of these giatns that are on our side. But the boy was tortured and tormented beyond belief, his soft cries still haunt me. Their plan was to wipe out my memories and transfer his powers to me so I could become a walking bomb of devastation and death. I escaped, thanks to the help of some of their own, but from what I know, that boy is still in their hands. And this means were at great risk, for if they find anyone else to take my place, then Gondor is in greater peril than any of us can imagine.''

Thoruk's Elemental managed to summon the winds beneath him but it was to no avail as there was very little space left between him and the ground. His father was swept up yet cought a tree on his way down whilst the Elemental crashed, breaking its legs and taking immense damage from the fall. Thoruk almost died, a tree pierced through his giants' neck missing his head by a few inches...

On top of that he was concussed and dark spots appeared in his vision. He could see through one of his giant's eyes which indicated he was facing upwards, his nape protected by what may have been the ground as he slowly blanked out.

Hours later he awoke to the sound of squelching. Liquid splattered his face. His eyes opened and he saw that same disgusting red-head standing nearby holding what appeared to be his father above the ground. He had sliced open his throat and was siphoning the blood into his hands, playing with it and creating balls of crimson liquid which he then threw like snowballs at Thoruk.

Suddenly his eyes opened again as liquid splashed his face. "Wake up, boy!" Thrak yelled at him fiercely, using the last of their drinking water to rouse his son. "Me hearing has returned but not me senses. Why did that darned flying fool toss us back into this infernal infested forest!" Thoruk could barely register what he was saying between his concussion, the fatigue and the nightmare he had just experienced.

-----------------------

"I'll try," Endo said and began running off towards the village. Once Cardiloc had transformed in the skies, a number of folks emerged from the village and began to circle Endo. They took him in and he was out of range unless Cardiloc flew above the village for a clearer view of the situation.

From his position, he noticed nothing off about the village or its surroundings with the exception of a few large skeletons in a far away field and some burned patches of forest that were charred from a not-so-recent fire.

------------------------

"Who is this Miriel?" One of the officials, some older prince asked. He bore the broach of a swan upon his shoulder. "And what threats do they possess exactly? Do we not have the most powerful of the-uh-um-Carolies?"

"Karoltai." Belzagar corrected him then raised another inquiry, "I believe Prince Amrothos is asking what giant powers they have and what necessary precautions to take. We know of the Screamer, the Armoured and the Leviathan which I assume is the one you call Marco. We obtained the Serpent from them. What else do they have?" His eyes reflected the cold stare of the young princeling.

The King watched Arandil with curiosity.

Cardiloc did so, circling over the village briefly before flying off again, he then then decided to investigate the charred fields, what had happened there?

Cardiloc found nothing aside from burned vegetation. It seemed it must've been a forest fire. That would be the obvious answer.

12700073

Cardiloc returned to the skies above the village, scanning out a good hidden vantage point to watch the events unfolding.

''There was this one that could clone itself, but that one was one of the their own that helped me escape, but from all I know, he was most likely captured as I.. fled. There was this female one, the one that Miriel their leader possessed. She was thicc the only female giant I have seen, yet she was the most savage out of all the ones I had seen. She seemed to have some sort of armor as well.''

”Idiotic shit or not he’s a mighty warrior and a great aid when it comes to the dwarf kingdoms, I can only hope that he makes it back to us before he battle begins. But indeed we have much to talk about and I have much to show you, you haven’t seen much of what’s in store for when they come. Also the king knows, apparently Mandos came to him and showed him some things he agreed that we can’t kill Morgoth but we must simply imprison him.” Sigeric would say drawing back to the conversation at hand, interrupting the Gondorian soldier he’d remark “But let us not forget the Executioner, luckily she’s imprisoned herself in a crystal, she’ll be on strict guard during the festival.”

Sigeric would then turn his gaze to Tamara “However despite all of these misgivings we have gained an a valuable asset with the serpent shifter, just like the rest of us you’ll be playing a vital role during the festival and will be working close with the rest of us, welcome to Gondors Giants.” He smiled

"Fack." he'd call out as he realised his giant was falling way to fast.

WOOOSH, CRACK

He landed, barely feeling himself as the shock of him crashing into the ground burrowed through his spine.

"T-this was not like it was supposed to happen..." he'd say before slowly seeing dark dots appearing infront of his eyes.

"Oh come on... not now" he'd say, trying to emerge from the giant but it was to late as he felt his eyes slowly shutting.

A few hours or so later, his eyes shut upon as some liquid was splashed onto him. "What-where-w... you.." he'd mutter before seeing his father.. "No. No-no-no-no-no." he'd mumble as he saw the ginger playing with his fathers dead body before he was hit by a ball of blood and... awoke again?

"Wake up!" he'd hear, as he opened his eyes, spotted a familiar face and let out a sigh of relief as he saw his father.

"I don't know either father.." he'd say, slowly trying to emerge from the giant with his back still hurting a bit and still having a few dark dots infront of his eyes.

"That damned bugger will pay for this, ye can be sure of that father. As I know where his children and his 'beloved' one are located." he'd say, with a smile appearing on his face.

"I'll wipe their little village of the map as soon as I've recovered father." he'd say, trying to get out of the rest, that his giant-body left. "And I thank ye for waking me up, allmost thought I'd died." he'd say, trying to tap his fathers shoulder as he was happy that the first thing was only a nightmare hunting him.

--------------

Tamara would still be confused about what Keratos ment when he said she was also one of those giant-creatures that made her feel uncomfortable all over the place.

Had he really spoken the truth? Was this why she was able to beat the soldiers in a one on one battle? "So that's why I was so strong..." she'd realise in the middle of their conversations with the king, looking at her hands, looking at the mark she had recieved back then when one of those boys died... this was what made her a giant-shifter? Something special?

Suddenly the one talking turned his head towards her. Was he speaking to her? She'd turn her head right and left. It almost seemed like it as he spoke "...just like the rest of us you’ll be playing a vital role during the festival and will be working close with the rest of us, welcome to Gondors Giants.”

"M-me?" she'd ask, not to loud, not knowing what to say at this point, stepping one step back.

"Don't worry, lass. You aren't alone. We all here were in your spot once, including ole Sigeric over here. We've got your back through thick and thin." Dimitri said quietly to the girl. But he was concerned. Sigeric's little speech did little to inform Dimitri of what really matters.
"Sorry to interrupt, sirs, but I feel like we are missing an important piece of info. Where is Morgoth? He gained a very powerful ally recently, one known as the Trickster. Or as others may call him, Orome. The Trickster is a dangerous foe. He's come back from the dead more times than a Barrow Wight. This festival sounds like the perfect chance for Morgoth to attack us. All of Gondor's leaders and might, gathered in one central place. Most of the giants, gathered all in one central place. One good bolt of lightning or a well-placed soul-draining wind and" *snap* ", the greatest enemies of Morgoth and his cabal are wiped out in minutes." Dimitri said.

Tamara would give a slight look towards the man next to her who seemed to always stay close to her side. "S-so you are one of them then?" she'd ask quietly, not trying to interrupt his speech about... well, Tamara wouldn't understand most of it, but probably something important.

"That is precisely the point." The King remarked. "Should the Enemy show his true colors, we shall have an opportunity to bring him down and should we fail, as we most likely shall against such a foe, then not all shall be in vain. The revelation of the Enemy will send shock waves throughout Middle-Earth and the greater Arda. Emperors, High-Kings, Queens, Lords, Ladies, Princes, Princesses, Chiefs, Courtiers, Diplomats, Merchants, Ministers, and so on from realms near and far shall flock to this occasion. It is the greatest celebration of our age, and likely to be our greatest disaster." The King admitted.

"In the case that the Enemy strikes, hundreds if not thousands shall die. All of us, from those sitting in this very room including myself, to the innocent paupers that roam our sewers shall be at harm. We have always been at harm. At any moment the Enemy could descend upon us. That is precisely why we must take this opportunity to draw him out." His eyes fell upon the Karoltai in the crowd.

"If the Enemy appears, it is up to us to defeat him. Gondor's might is but a shield to mitigate the damage that will occur should the Enemy rear his ugly face. It is you, my Giants, who are to be our sword to dealing a considerable blow to him. We have prepared our own devices in order to capture and restrain the foe we speak of. It is up to you to bring him down. The arms of the Reunited Kingdom are at your disposal. The lives of everyone in this realm, and the realms of men, dwarves, elves, hobbits, and so forth count upon you. And soon all shall be up in arms, mustering to defeat our foe. Regardless of whether or not the enemy shows, regardless of whether or not we live or die, it is our duty to bring the knowledge of our true enemy to the rest of the world. Only with the combined might of the Children of Illuvatar can we hope to stand a chance. And if the price of freedom, of victory, is my life, then it is a price I am willing to pay. Now the question is-" He paused and breathed deeply.

"Whom of you shall give your hearts to defeat the Dark Lord?"

----------------------------------------

"I won't let ye die on me. That's a promise ma boy!" Thrak smiled. "Now tell me how're we gonna kill these monstrous buggers?"

-----------------------------------------

Cardiloc perched in a tree. Nothing occurred for five minutes. Then ten. Then fifteen. He began to grow restless.
