VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

”Alright, you nameless ex-slaves start freeing the others! The others, get up there and fucking scatter their brains on the deck! ...but do consider getting to the rowboats before the scum!” Deslan motions them up the ladder. He instructs the first one to get out to stick a plank into the hatch and block it open so that it could not be sealed and locked. He would also ask Dimitri and a few prisoners to run for the cargo hold once outside and find at least his leg.

At this point all slaves had been freed. Now it was a matter of getting out of the hull and securing the ship.

The slave Deslan instructed does as he is told and wedges a block inside the hatch so that it couldn't be closed without removing the block. They began to stream out the hull as the water levels reached their waists.

The storm was reaching its peak as the ship rocked violently only kept afloat by the efforts of the sailors, those that they wanted to kill.

As Thoruk realises that they out-man him and have "weapons", if you want to call those toothpicks weapons, he starts thinking "What if I can give the other slaves a signal so they can throw the barrels into the way of the slavers and the rolling barrels get those buggers to fall down and lose theur weapons so we could overrun them." While moving a bit backwards and allmost falling down due to the slippery ground and the shaky boat, he points towards two slavers he sees and then at the barrels, but without the bandits noticing and hopes they would understand what he wants them to do. As he does that he still tries to keep the bandits bussy so they won't notice "Aye, you think you can kill a dwarf with those toothpicks ya ugly buggers? TRY IT" he shouts as a signal for the other slaves.

((If they don't understand that the following should be used))

Thoruk walks a few steps back and tries to break of a plank from a barrel that got damaged by the storm already and use it as a weapon. He knows it would take a bit so he would only attempt it once.

The slaves don't understand Thoruk's weird hand gestures. When he tries to break the barrel he fails. These were stronger ones, unlike the frail older ones in the hull. Thoruk had two choices:
Retreat back to the hatch area and regroup the slaves for an assault.
Charge one of the slavers in a desperate attempt to disarm them.

If he chose the latter he should know that he was likely to fail and kill himself especially by charging over a wet deck.

"Why in Durins name do they not understand it..." Thoruk thinks while rolling his eyes and going back another few steps on the slippery ground. "If I had my axe these buggers would beg for their lives in a matter of seconds, but with my fists I can't do that much against 3 armed enemies, I could maybe disarm one but than the others would kill me." He goes through every possibility there could be, but he soon realises the only thing that would end up with him surviving this was going back towards the other slaves. "I should wait for the next wave so I don't slip that much while attempting to get to the others" he decides. "When the next wave comes I'll try to use the slippery ground to my advantage and slide a bit if they get to close to me with their weapons so I can dodge 'em" he thinks before waiting for the next wave to come.

I've got out of the hatch and helped the prisoners to get out faster by pulling them out. "Common we don't have all day" he says as he pull another one of the prisoners. "Go and help the others to kill the slavers, the fat dwarf warned them all that we escaped and they will charge at us soon"

The ship rocked with the impact of a huge wave that sent some of the crates rolling along with sending a fair amount of the freed slaves to the deck. The force hit Thoruk roughly and he barely held his ground whilst the slavers remained unharmed, clinging to the rails of the staircase that led up the quarterdeck. One lunged forth, foolishly, seeking to end the dwarf's life with their knife. He avoided skipping on the deck and slowly made his way towards Thoruk.

A whistle behind the dwarf and a second later Marco's voice came through the howling storm, "Oi-midget-fack, 'ere, knock 'em dead." A wooden plank was placed in Thoruk's left hand and Marco appeared at his side ready to face the slavers.

Iver was successful in speeding up the process and a grand amount of slaves were pulled through the hatch, only a fraction remained in the hull below including Deslan and Dimitri. Elodrin and Margoz had made it to the top deck and were now in the midst of the storm with the majority of their slave-family.

"Aye dim I'll get you up" he says to dim and then he turned around "pull em up while I push him from the bottom he says to another slave" and went down to back em up as he climbed the ladder.
After that he would push deslan the stairs. Those crippled guys really need to find their spare parts.

If the bed seemed high enough, Daugo would run forward and slide underneath it. If not, he would try to hide behind one of the statues. By this time, he starts thinking that Deslan has probably freed half of the slaves, but no matter. The Captain's Quarters offer other interesting things; that map of Middle Earth and their position relative to it, for example, and perhaps a dagger or something hidden away.

The bed had no crawl space beneath it and thus Daugo had to settle for the statue. It was quite ornate, some man folk with overexaggerated unmentionable parts who posed brusquely, exposing his glorious naked body to the world as if begging for applause.

The statue wasn't that big, about a 3rd his size but the pedestal that held it was large enough to hide the hobbit. After a few moments he heard a grunt and a man stepped into the room. He didn't recognize him. It wasn't the whipper or one of the cooks that frequented the hull. He dressed lavishly and wore a feathered black cap. His face was masked by an impenetrable jungle of course dark beard and only his eyes and protruding nose stuck out like mountains. His nose was slightly crooked, seemingly as if broken in the past and his eyes were a dark brown. He wasn't old but carried himself slowly as if in his last year's of life.

He entered the room, slightly stumbling as the ship jarred this way and that, and walked towards a cupboard, removed a bottle of some high quality liquor and moved to seat himself on the bed. He opened the bottle with a pop, drank half of its red liquid and fell asleep after five minutes on the bed, still clothed. He seemed either extremely drunk or given up on life.

The room fell silent except for the occasional snore from the man that could only be the captain. 13527980

((Gunda made a shit ton of noise and the slavers realizes we escaped. I'm helping you and deslen to get up so u can kill some slavers))

Thoruk sees Marco and says to himself "Durin, thank you that I don't have to die like a filthy orc, without any chance" as he grabbes the plank with both hands as good as possible and waits for the bandit that wanted to charge on Thoruk with a slight smile on his face. Thoruk wants to counter attack after the bandit made a few swings and smash the plank with his full strengh sidewards into the bandit's knee. As he waits for the first bandit to charge and the rain continues to poor down on their skins, he speaks with his head slightly towards Marco "Aye lad, thanks that you've come to help me. A dwarf dieing without a weapon in hand? Disgusting thought lad. You're no dwarf by any means, but fighting besides you still is a honor for me."

Grimnir stands up and stampedes to the deck where Thoruk resides, he grabs whatever he could find as a weapon, would he find none, he still had a pair good of fists and legs. His eyes turn red of the thoughts of Crimson, he walks up to Thoruk and gives him a patch on his shoulder, then charges the closest slaver and attempts to crush his skull with whatever he could find.

Sigeric shouted over the noise of the tempest toward the slaves. "It matters not whether we die today, for we die as free men! Rally to me, and drive these scum into the sea! For the north! For Gondor! For all of your homelands, I bid you fight, and reclaim your honor!" Sigeric's proud noble inflection had returned to his voice. The battle had not yet begun, but his sense of purpose had returned. He led any slaves who would follow him towards the armory, or at least where he predicted it would be.

Thoruk, Marco and Grimnir charged the three slavers. Thoruk faced the knife-slaver, who was caught off-guard by this assault and turned to flee back up the quarterdeck; Marco raced to the starboard staircase to cut off the knife-slaver; and Grimnir found himself with some ropes for a weapon, staring up at the double-dagger-slaver who was up on the quarterdeck looking down at him from the top of the staircase.

Sigeric's rallies brought the hearts and souls of the slaves. "For freedom! To Sigeric!" The call went out and over a dozen of the slaves: males, females, beggars, soldiers and, Brigands charged with Sigeric across the deck towards the gallery that was set beneath the quarterdeck. The armory was surely in there. As they yelled heartily, waving plank boards and all manner of blunt objects, Sigeric could see that the dwarves and Marco were battling a trio of slavers ahead of them on the quarterdeck.
Deslan's orders were almost completely nullified by Sigeric's charge. Three slaves were attempting to locate the rowboats but could not seem to find them.

Dimitri, Deslan and the remainder of the slaves were carried out of the hull and now on the top deck near the hatch. Iver, Dimitri, Deslan, Margoz and Elodrin along with Dean saw the charge of Sigeric and the courageous battle about to take place. Just then-

A brilliant flash of blue lightning erupted from the heavens above, striking downwards and hitting the topmast sails. The sails caught fire for a brief moment in the storm before the rain pattered it out. More strikes of lightning and in they could see through the darkness.

On the port side of the ship, there appeared to be an additional two ships whilst on the starboard side, another ship appeared out of the darkness. Each was similar and appeared to bear the same flag: a dark onyx background with an iron chain forefront symbol. The symbol of the slavers. To the starboard side was also another shape, some dark block in the water following alongside the ship. With each blast of lightning, it seemed to move, shifting positions. Lastly, to the front of the ship, beyond the bow, was a vast expanse of land set against the backdrop of the dark seas? An island? Land?

We need to take out the rest of the slavers and maybe free the slaves on the other boats" iver says and then rush toward the scorpion. On his way he looks for a weapon.

Grimnir makes a lasso from the rope, very large to catch the dagger wielding wazzock, and with pure force drag him over the rails, down and crush him to the ground, would the slaver survive, Grimnir'd charge the Wazzock and deliver a death kick.

Iver sees nothing of use aside from hemp ropes and spare sails. The scorpion is wet from the rain but can be used, possibly, if loaded correctly. Its bolts had to be nearby. If Iver could find them he could make use of the static weapon.

Grimnir successfully created a lasso and managed to throw it, however, the dagger-slaver saw it coming, grasped the rope as it landed and cut through the knot, making the lasso useless. Overconfidently, he jumped down the flight of stairs, aiming to land on Grimnir, his daggers readied.
