VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Oh you poor thing." Celeste said, sadden by his story, "How could anyone hurt a little man like you? You are a little man, aren't you?" She asked, referring to his size as a hobbit, "Do you need a hug?" She offered Daugo her arms, naively falling for it.

The creature, albeit, trapped rear its ugly crocodilian head and looked at Iver through its dark brown eyes. It moved forward a little, still beneath the debris of the ship, and opened its jaws slowly to reveal jagged jaws and crooked teeth as well as a folded tongue that rested between its inner-cheeks that was coated by dozens of miniature serrated teeth like those of a shark. It appeared to be goading for Iver to place the fish in its mouth.

Marco followed them up, holding his crossbow at an angle to the beast's maw.
"'Ey, man, let's just get outta here. We got what we came for. Whydda wanna mess around with that thang?" He urged Iver. "C'mon, Thoruk, let's go."

"Marco lower yar voice, we are in his tongue range and if he wanted us dead he could have killed me already, but in case and im wrong get ready to shoot em down." He said calmly. He then grabed the fish and walked slowly toward the monster. If he wouldnt get attacked he would throw the fish inside It's mouth once he is close enough to not miss.

The sea creature's mouth remained open, a red-black blistering hole. Iver's throw missed, the fish narrowly falling short, yet, the creature's tongue reeled and shot out, grasping the fish in a millisecond and using its serrated teeth, coiled the fish back into its mouth in a flurry of blood. The thing swallowed it whole then looked to Iver with hunger in its eyes.

"Iver, the wreckage, it-it's moving-" Marco's voice cut in as the debris holding down the sea creature began to topple and fall, the thing started to shove and began jutting towards Iver, it's mouth agape and it's tongue reeling to strike!

The sea creature's tongue flew out like a spiked tendril and latched onto Iver's boot as he was retreating. The thing began to tighten its tongue like a boa constrictor and squeezed it's sharp tongue-teeth into Iver's boots, cutting his feet with sheer strength. Then it began to pull him towards it as it struggled to escape its confines under the shipwreck. Marco fired and a crossbow bolt flew into the thing's mouth making it angrier as it wailed in pain, it's tongue still latched onto Iver's leg. It began to pull him faster. Iver was screwed. Unless Thoruk could separate the tongue from the mouth Iver would be pulled into that thing's teeth and eaten.

As soon as Margoz wakes up, it took him a minute to realize Grimnir is gone, "ugh, old gramps is supposed to rest his leg. No wonder he always lowers the IQ of the whole group," he went out to go find him.
((if he still has his Rhunic scimitar, he would take it with him))

"Hey!" Cardiloc called after Margoz "Don't leave us here, theres only one watching guard and it's hardly like me or the halfling can fight!" The Dunlending complained to Margoz with a frown.

Daugo's ears turn red as he accepts the hug. Normally, he would've been offended at being called 'a little man' and treated like a child, but Celeste was pretty and well-intentioned. He felt no shame at having lied; it came to him as naturally as eating.

Iver freaked out, while most animals understood mercy and good intentions this beast was more like man, biting the hand feeding him. At this point his face changed, from scared to angry. He took his two pieces of spear and pushed them in between his boot leg and the tongue. He pointed his toes to the ground using the sticks he used it to try and pull his leg out of the creature's hold. "Shoot that fucker!" He ordered to Thoruk and marco

"Aye lad" Thoruk says while calmly aiming at the right point of the tongue to not hurt Iver. While aiming at the tongue he whispers towards Marco "Lad, After I shot his tongue you need to shoot one of his eyes so that that orcish-poop looking creature won't be able to bite Iver."

He knew he had made a mistake, however he saw a house and a house possibly meant human. But he didn't think that the house would hold the same type of creature as the giant or Ha'zi. But then he remembered something, something from the history books. Looking at Sigeric he would grab the halberd slightly to get his attention and then try to jam the butt of the weapon into the stones of the stream. While he did that he asked "Okay, I messed up I get that but to be fair I didn't think this was of Beorns breed."

"I'm not the only guy who can actually fight in this group," Margoz smiled to the Dunlending, "I have high hopes for you, big shot," he exits the camp with a certain feeling. He hopes he could find the others, as they are taking too long.

Margoz would be gone for a few minutes to collect a bunch of sticks and comes back laughing, "the look on your face when I left. You actually thought I was going to leave you, huh? Let me make you a leg splint," he said as he carefully picks each piece of wood. He desperately tries to remember how to make a splint, "damn it. I used to learn this when my one of my men got shot by a Rhunic guard. He received an arrow in the knee. The Dark Lord always gets in the way of my bootlegging business. It's so annoying. However, I learned a lot from my past and that bastard himself. Speaking of the past, what's your story?"

"Do I look like I'm in a humorous mood? Theres just been an explosion and you crack jokes!?" The Dunlending demanded to Margoz with a furious expression on his face. He eventually relented and allowed himself a smirk. "Alright I admit it was pretty funny but we need to stay on task, there is something out there." He added to Margoz. "Story? I don't have much of a story, I was just an ordinary Dunlending minding my own business hunting by the sea when this huge slaver ship appears. And now I'm here," He shrugged to Margoz. "Tell me, what is a runic guard?"

Thoruk's crossbow bolt smacked into the sea monster's tongue.

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!" The creature groaned in pain unleashing a scream of agony. It's tongue recoiled, letting go of Iver's foot and retracted back to its mouth as it wiggled around. It was breaking its chains.

"Grab, Iver and let's get out of here before it gets free!" Shouted Marco before reloading his crossbow and firing another bolt at it, hitting just above its eye, the bolt didn't even penetrate its flesh, the hard armour on it reflecting the shot.

"We've gotta go, now!" He said and fled back towards the cart. Iver was free of the creature's grasp and saw the thing enraged, staring back at him as it began to break free of the wreck. It had some unearthly strength to it and was filled with anger as it glared at him hungrily.

---------------

Elodrin did manage to steal Sigeric's halberd in the heat of the moment. The bear came crashing down towards them and only as it was about to fall did recognition hit it. Time seemed to pause as the giant bear fell upon Elodrin and Sigeric, it's large chest penetrated by the halberd's spike. It slid down to the hilt of the spear before the weapon exploded under its unbearable weight. ((heh, un-bear-able)) Sigeric's halberd snapped like a twig as the bear collapsed on top of it. Both men had only a moment to escape certain death beneath the beast. Elodrin being directly at the center of the bear had a choice. Sigeric was towards its edge and could be pushed out to safety. He could try his chances and leave Sigeric to an unfortunate fate or push the man out of the way. If he pushed Sigeric he may be crushed beneath the bear. Would that be his end? Would he die because of his foolish decisions? His impatience? His failure as a leader? All this questions came to mind as the halberd was about to snap. What would the old Gondorian do? The bear roared in pain as the halberd pierced its body.

Ha'zi could still see them as Sam retreated up the slope, the giant form of the bear about to crush them. And he could do nothing to stop it. Elodrin, Sigeric, they would surely die. Dean was watching this occur as well and felt a pang of anger. Anger at his own cowardice. Anger at his choice to save himself than Elodrin. Anger that he had left his friend behind. He swore to him that they would return back to Gondor. Swore to him. Dean turned around and rushed back down the slope.

----------

Grimnir, Yuri and Radaa saw a fleeing Sam and Ha'zi at the top of a slope. They heard the cracking of something, a branch perhaps? And a primal roar.

The entire camp heard it. The roar. It startled everyone. Celeste tensed whilst hugging Daugo as the scream sent shivers down her spine.

Elodrin knew that he couldn't save himself without hurting Sigeric or vise versa, or could he? In the rush of this all he would jump back wards tossing his sword at Sigeric, hoping that the weight of the sword would push him back.

Iver started running "RUN!!!" he screamed at thoruk and marco while runing toward beach
((only doing this coz u want me not to attack the monster))
