VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Give me a second Ha'zi," said Daugo, standing up with his index finger upright. "They claim they can fight off whatever may come during our expedition, so let's just take them at their word for now. But, what will we do if Morgoth is indeed in Mordor? What's the plan then?"
[rule]
"Hello, Ha'zi, been awhile," he said cheerfully, getting on a bench to be able to reach the boy's back and pat it twice. "Who's your friend?" he added, glancing at Miriel.

"ahe calm Yar tits, all we need to get is a valar blade. You guys don't have anything like that here don't you?" Iver said, clearly something wasnt as usual with him.

This was becoming frustrating. The boy's had been answered, however, it raised further questions. He turned to the elf first.

"Firstly, the Reunited Kingdom of Arnor and Gondor's forces are being alerted as we speak to the issue we face. So are other nations, although, many seem reluctant to join any fight without proof or evidence. This entire investigation is to provide this proof. If Morgoth attacks, the garrisons should be well suited to hold off any siege. The armies will take weeks to raise and muster, however, can surely deal with any attack if this city holds out."

He looked at Daugo next.

"If Morgoth is located, Lord Celeborn and I shall decide on a course of action. Most likely, we shall retreat and send for the armies of the Reunited Kingdom in order to bolster our chances for victory, along with raising the forces of the nations of Middle-Earth. However, if we see a chance to strike at Morgoth, then we shall take it. In that case, you, the Giants, along with our military forces in the Noldorin Regiments and the Gondorian Cavalry shall aid in defeating Morgoth. According to Lord Celeborn," he paused and motioned towards an elf sitting at the front rows with white hair, "Glorfindel is the strongest warrior among the elves and thus, in this situation, arguably, makes him the strongest fighter we have. If the Giants and Glorfindel can fight Morgoth whilst we provide aid, then we could possibly kill him. According to our knowledge, Morgoth can be killed if he is stabbed through the heart. Glorfindel shall plunge his sword into the Black Enemy's chest and that should be enough to kill him."

Then he heard Iver and ignored the comment. The man was clearly drunk and he would talk to him afterward, if he was bothered enough to.

"Yeah, it has." Ha'zi says, trying to match his cheerfulness, "Oh, this is Miriel. She's the daughter of a Lord from around here, and she joined us for our expedition." 13527980

Miriel blushed a bit and seemed confused when she saw Daugo. "Hello. Are you a dwarf?" She asked, completely oblivious to the existence of Hobbits and how rude her question was.

Sigeric had taken a seat in the front row, and carefully listened to the briefing. When Ha'zi mentioned the possibility of Morgoth having forces akin to Karoltai, he spoke up. "I would like to report that Morgoth does indeed have at least one Karoltai. We encountered it in Dale. It is quite likely that he could have even more." He paused. "Our forces need to be briefed on the appearance of each of our own Giants, so that they can differentiate between friend and foe if need arises."

Now this was telling. Crandil looked at Sigeric and spoke, "I have little knowledge on the Giants or what the elves call, Karoltai. Would you mind stepping onto the stage and describing them to us?" The phrase was clearly meant as a command rather than a request.

As Thoruk sees literally hundreds of men coming into the hall he starts thinking. "They don't realy want to help against an enemy that can snap it's fingers and they are dead, do they? Stuppid humans, they can't compete with us dwarves in strengh and as it seems neither in good decision making. Aye, I could enjoy some beer and the pretty damn good view outside right now, instead I'm surounded by guys that won't survive more than a few seconds in real combat." Thoruk scraches his forehead as the expected speech came. After the speech was finally over he rolls his eyes. "Aye, what'a waste of time. Nothing I hadn't known yet" he stoppes looking around "Well besides that we got some cannonfodder on our side. Atleast it's not gonna get boring with them." he thinks as he waits for everyone to finish so he can walk outside without everyone starring at him.

Iver looked around and then he realized something, he didnt take a crap for the entire trip. "Excuse me" He said over and over as he passed people until he reached the exist and went on his own epic adventure of finding the toilet while drunk.

"More giants? This is I'll news," The dunlending commented to Sigeric, he had remained silent throughout most of the briefing. "Crendil." The dunlending called out to the captain. "We shouldn't send too many soldiers into Mordor, Iver and I can search the land for any traces of Morgoth. Ivers the bat, and I can shift into any kind of animal."

"We are sending a thousand in total." He said to Cardiloc. "Only a thousand. And I was told that some of you could fly, so we shall use your abilities upon reaching the Morannon, where they can be useful."

"What if we run into morgoth? Those thousand will die, we need to know his strength before we make a move." Card shook his head.

"That thousand is there for your protection. What if you find Morgoth and he kills you? The lives of a Giant are far above the lives of a single man. That is the cold, hard truth and everyone in this room knows it." Crandil stated matter-of-factly, "You should be humbled that so many are willing to give their lives for you. If we run into Morgoth then we shall either retreat or if the situation calls for it, silence him once and for all." Silence spread over the room.

12700073

"I will not take a thousand lives for my own, and neither should Iver. When giants die the power latchs onto the nearest possible living thing. We will need two companions." Cardiloc responded stubbornly.

"The thousand men and elves are there only to protect you from what might lay within so you dont have to waste your power. If morgoth is sighted then they will not be needed anymore." Zaro argued

"The matter has been decided. I am sorry but we are not allowing two of our strongest weapons to fall idly into the Enemy's hands." Crandil ended the dispute there, waiting for the other man to take the stage.

12700073

"My method is quicker, and Morgoth cannot be allowed to regain his power. Sending a thousand men into Mordor would take too long." The dunlending persisted.
