This month my school is celebrating it's 175th Birthday. The school used to be an abbey until 1841, when an organized luxembourgish school system was introduced and the building's religious function was almost completely abolished. However, since it was an abbey, things such as maths and latin have been taught there ever since the 7th century, when it was founded, meaning it is the oldest school in Luxembourg and probably a huge chunk of Europe too.
Today, it is one of the best luxembourgish public schools, teaching around 1050 students.
