If only Mojang could "interview" the server and then if they believe it is totally legit, then they could let us continue. I mean, I think Mojang mainly wants to stop servers that have like $1000 bonuses ingame where the server owners are practically conning the people on the servers. But that is just my opinion. However, we obviously have to do something. Otherwise, the best server IN THE WORLD will be shut down. Either that or Tim could have everyone pay like $5 a month to keep the server afloat. But no one wants that. Anyway, just some Ideas. Oh, and Tim, I don't blame you. This is Mojang not realizing (or realizing) they will be destroying entire server communities. And sorry for my scatterbrainedness in this reply.

it would also take the most time. 5-20 minute interviews * 20000 = about 300000 munutes or 5000 hours. thats a lot of time

Source please? You're claiming that there are 20k MC servers that would want this interview, please link the source.

maybe not 20000 but over 9000 active ones
 
How about everything is free, but there are a certain number of people who can be a donor class at a time (like troll) and previous donors have seniority if they want to be that class.

You are allowed to give reserves slots to a server, teams, classes, etc.

You are allowed to give reserved slots to the SERVER only.

Dinnerbone has tweeted in response to people that reserved slots for classes/teams are allowed, as long as these reserved slots don't mean "Only donors". So something like joining full teams, full server, full classes, etc is allowed.
