VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Everyone fall back. Fall back NOW!" Fear gripped tight of Arandil, he did not know if a sacrifice would even help the situation, he had never seen such a beast before, such a thing. He saw Throuk Ha'zi and Ramdir all there. He saw Daugo run off like he was a deer being chased by a wolf. But after a good glimpse of the beast, it truly was that. A deer being chased by this, hound.
He went to Ramdir to think of a plan to butcher this beast or at least buy some time for the rest of the convoy to get to the hideout. "We have to lure this piece of shit into an ambush and shoot it to death. Can you get any rangers here? They would make a porcupine out of this hound."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck..." Iver said to himself as the beast caught to him, he didnt have much power and he knew he couldnt outrun daugo regardless the fact that he had longer legs, was in better physical condition and had the power to run fast enough to fuck up time. Iver would look around to find a tree he can climb or run around and put in between him and the beast. If there was one he would use it for his advantage.

The closest tree was three meters to Iver's left and he heard the silent thudding of the beast behind him becoming louder.

As Thoruk joined the charge the beast outran them all and leaped, its claws outstretched for Iver who was oblivious to the distance between it and him.

Arandil was ignorant of the fact that none of the men were listening as all had charged the beast in the blind rage that ensued after the death of their comrade. Malfinder's body in a pool of blood nearby whilst the beast chased the Dalishman and the hobbit.

Iver looked back and saw the beast leaping, he couldnt outrun the twat and had only one thing to do. Iver tried to throw himself to the side, hoping that the beast wouldnt be able to change direction that fast and that he will be low enough to not get caught.

"Damn them all, where's the discipline, where's the fucking order?" He screamed." You'll get butchered and devoured you damn fools! Fall back to me and organise yourselves. Don't chase the beast shoot it! Damn it, these fools are blinded by rage," he looked and saw Thoruk joining the chase and understood that this would end badly.
He searched the fallen soldier for a bow and a quiver full of arrows in hopes of shooting the beast rather than mindlessly chasing it around until it would have enough and start gnashing at them all.

Arandil found the black cloak's quiver and saw his bow had been snapped in the fall. He'd need someone else's. Luckily Sigeric was nearby.

The creature fell where Iver stood only to find the Dalishman had leaped away. It snarled and twisted around as it came face to face with half a dozen warriors charging it. It's back flared and eight spikes erupted like bolts and flung themselves at the black cloaks and Thoruk.

One spike hit the dwarf directly on his chest plate, bouncing off. Another brushed his helmet and broke upon contact with the Mithril. A third snipped his chainmail finger, damaging his hand and causing him to drop hold of his father's axe. Pain reverberated through his hand, although the spike had only grazed the metal there was definite swelling beneath. Behind Thoruk, the black cloaks hit the floor and barely missed the hail of spikes. One rolled over and threw a spear at the beast.
"Take it down!"

It snarled and ran at Thoruk, wildly roaring through the night.

Iver saw it was distracted by the rangers. It was only three meters away now. He could make a run around it back to his friends or bolt for the rest of the convoy.

Meanwhile, Daugo's little hobbit feet had taken him far, far away. He was no longer on the road, nor was he with the convoy and in the distance he heard the sounds of battle. Before he could stop, he hit a rock and suddenly he was falling. His fight or flight instincts had saved him for near death but now they had plunged him into further danger as he rolled down a hill like a sack of tumbleweed. The next thing the hobbit knew he was drenched in water and a loud SPLASH erupted. Suddenly, he broke through the surface as his feet found the bottom and a slight current brushed him afloat. He was in a stream. And directly ahead of him were two figures. One strangely dressed in blues who stood in the water with a couple conch shells attached to him and pearl earings. He had funky wavey hair and spoke in a strange language. The language of Ilmare. On the shore nearby, leaning up against a tree, was Eonwe. The two seemed to be in conversation when the hobbit rudely interrupted their gathering and now both stared wide-eyed at Daugo.

"Fuckin'--ouch-- fuck, fuck!" Daugo had said as he took a little tumble off the cliff, adding more gurgly fucks as he fell into the water. "Blruck," he added once more before noticing the two figures. "Uh," he said, struggling to swim to the riverbank. "'Evening."

He grabbed the quiver and rushed to Sigeric. "Do you have a bow I can borrow" he asked in a rushed voice as he kept checking on the beast's situation.
"Quickly answer me there is no time to lose."

Upon getting shot everywhere by spikes flying towards him Thoruk just smiles as a spike broke when trying to pierce his mithril helmet. "Ha! Lad that's something you won't break in a million years, you could ev..." he stops as a spike hits his arm, slightly piercing through the chainmail surounding his helmet. A quite quiet "Fak" came out of his mouth as he let's loose of his axe, the fire going out as it hits the ground, like a small flame in the wind, representing his lack of power. He wasn't able to keep the fire alive, how should he be able to keep himself alive at all with this thing charging at him. As he is swearing in khuzdul, he gets a throwing-axe off from his back, taking a deep breath and aiming for the beasts head. "It's just this one try, may Durin lead my axe!" he thinks, letting loose of it.

Iver looked around and saw that the monster was distracted, maybe he could attack it's back in a point where it wasnt protected. Iver charged the beast from the back with his maia blade, aiming to the back of one of the legs to cut his tendon.

Card gulped and said. "Uh..." This was really weird, and awkward, so the dunlending elected to just sit down next to the hobbit in silence. "So uh..." He turned to the halfling. "Your like, older Daugo. right?"

"Well fuck." Ha'zi knew what he must do, the reasonable thing any person in his position would do: run the hell away. So, like Daugo and Iver before him, the Haradrim had his weak legs take him as far away as they could from the beast.

"Fack off." The hobbit began, standing up and spitting at Cardiloc with an array of various curses, of which most went over the Dunlending's head.

"Calm down, Gully." The older man spoke.

"He's the facker who let the world go to 'ell. How dare 'e talk about me dad?! Don' tell meh ta calm down. Ya can take yar calm and shove it up yer arse!!" He said and took off with a slew of words, leaving through the side-door.

The awkwardness deepened as all eyes fell on Cardiloc.

---------------------------

"Hello there." Both the figures replied in unison.

They glanced at each other mildly and Eonwe merely exchanged a look of sorrow before looking back at Daugo.
"Aid the hobbit." He resigned.

The flow of the stream wrapped around Daugo and ejected him out of the water, jettisoning him on the shore like a derelict piece of trash.

"On your way, hobbit."

"No. I know this one." Eonwe stated matter-of-factly. "What brings you here, Daugo? Should you not be in attendance with the other Karoltai?"

---------------

Thoruk's throwing axe flew at the creature. It noticed the blade and shot a spike through the air at it. The two projectiles hit one another, the spike breaking into millions of pieces whilst the axe was knocked off its trajectory. The beast tried to turn but it was too late as the axe pierced its hide, missing its head and raking a section of its spine open. It slumped suddenly and crashed to the ground before Thoruk. It was still alive and batted at the dwarf's feet with its claws, yet blood seeped out of its open back and its legs seemingly ceased to function.

The black cloaks surrounded it. Arrows flew, Ramdir stabbed its left hand with his sword and Galador pierced its eye with his spear, effectively killing it before it could hurt anyone else. "FOR GONDOR!!" They cheered as more rangers and soldiers arrived at the scene.

As Ha'zi began to run, he heard the cheers of victory as the men slaughtered the beast. Arandil and Iver both witnessed the creature brought down by Thoruk and the black cloaks without further bloodshed.

"Cease, we need it's hide and it's skin, we need everything to be taken back to be examined. Halt this madness. I lost 600 men in that valley, and I didn't kill the thing responsible for 500 of them. Restrain yourselves with your rage of revenge."

Looking at it, getting stabbed by the guys, hidden in black cloaks he felt relief before even realising that his axe was what had realy brought it down. He looks at it for a few seconds before he prays in Khuzdul as he looks into the dark night-sky, before ending his prayer with a simple "Aye.." and with it he let's out a pretty smelly breath. Not interested in the big chunk of useless flesh anymore he slowly walks towards it's body, pulling out his axe. The blood slowly dripping off of its blade he looks at the beast again. "Never mess with the sons of Durin" he says as he walks towards Iver. "Ya alright lad?" he asks the dalish man, waving with his axe, still feeling a bit of pain in his right arm.

Ramdir turned to Arandil, restraining his fury. "We're merely putting it down. We can't take any chances. Don't question the Black Rangers, soldier!"

Galador eyed the beast, "Fairly certain this one's dead, mates. Now tell me, what am I lookin' at?" He poked its gouged eyesocket with his spearhead.

The other Gondorians swarmed the beast in curiosity.

Then, suddenly, another low whistle. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

"Damn it all there are more of them?! Form a line, prepare to rain hell. Ready your bows men. Nock!" He yelled feeling he could lead them more organised this time.
In his mind he presumed after they saw that this was no weak beast ,but instead a monster that seems to belong to the foul dungeons of Utumno, one would think that they would try at least try organise themselves ,at the very least. But the moment Arandil uttered those words he could feel their arrogance punch him dead center. But he hoped for once that they would listen to reason and caution.
