VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Aye, then let's get going lad. Since I'm not familiar with the structures round here, you should lead us to where ever they have good food and something to drink lad." Thoruk says, walking out of the houses of healing and waiting for Arandil.

"It is your choice. Will you allow Glorfindel to serve as your sworn shield?" More foolish questions and more absent choices. Clearly, Ha'zi would say "no", "N-O", or even the far more colorful "fuck no!" But, for one thing, this elf hated them entirely, and he absolutely doubted that Glorfindel would just leave if one kid told him to. And, as much as he loathed it, the elf was the best person they had for combative purposes, which was also clear enough. So with gritted teeth, Ha'zi answered, "Yes. Sure. I'll allow that completely."

"There is a tavern down this street near the gate. We should head their. It's one of the best taverns in the whole damn city."

"So you go out to find healing and I must survive Valianor." Dimitri said. Despair was being slowly replaced with determination, to outlast the enemies of his fallen King till the last breathe. "How will you get to the halls, sir? The Holy Lands seem to be swarming with enemies." After he finished talking, he went over to the small river to take a drink.

“Aye I do, well least I know who the Gondorian is, from both his tattoo and when I travelled in a group with him. I’m guessing your just like him then, a shifter, or rather a protogiant? I’m like you, has Ha’zi told you who I am.” The dunlending got straight to the point, showing them his tattoo.

"I feel like... I feel like the King is too calm about the chaos in that hall. If any of your friends snap all hell will break loose. Not only will the elf and my King be in grave danger, we might lose one of those bastards." He said as they were walking. They got to the tavern and went to the bartender and asked for a table.

"I'm just powered." Endo said revealing no such tattoos on himself. "I have this ability. Similar to you but I can't Giantize. After Morgoth was killed, you lot also lost your Giantization powers. Which made you powered's like me."

"We know who you are. We actually used to be friends. In another time, I suppose. Before...well...you know." Berethor explained, turning to Cardiloc who was next to him with warmth.

"Have you not been listening, fool? I am no sir. And there is no way for me to reach the Gardens of Lothlorien without being located. I am unable to defend myself in this state. Thus, you may as well leave me to perish. Do you understand, Dimitrius? Go. Live on with the memory of my father before your inevitable doom." Telimekhtar tossed him the bag and a couple potatoes rolled out as it hit the ground. It was clear that was all the sustenance that was left.

The King nodded his head at their answers then announced, "Glorfindel, I must decline your kind offer. It is clear they are uncomfortable with you, to say the least. Regardless of the fact that three out of four have accepted."

"Surely there is something else I may do?"

"Yes. Your talents can be put to use elsewhere."

"Now, Karoltai." The King turned to them, taking a seat again. "You may take spend the next three days as you please in the city. You are free to roam where you please and should you have a change of mind you on your occupation, then please inform Captain Vardamir or any of his associates. They shall be in charge of safeguarding you during your stay here. Additionally, they shall show you to temporary quarters within the Tower of the Guard and should you require an allowance, use of training grounds or have any issues, he shall take care of it. Understood, Captain?"

The man tilted his head up and down in response.

"In the meantime, I shall arrange a meeting between the leaders of Middle-Earth on this matter. A great festival for the public shall be held within the upcoming years. I expect it shall be the greatest event of this age. And for it, you will be needed Karoltai, as proof of Morgoth's existence and the threat he poses."

"This meeting is adjourned. You may have your peace."

The doors opened for them. Did they have any other questions?

It would not be Sigeric who answered but instead Hering "My king, apologizes but you did not answer if I can take a few of my men and search for the enemy Karolti."

At the official dismissal of Glorfindel as their 'protector', Ha'zi glowed- internally, that is. He wouldn't dare show any signs of satisfaction... though, it was still a bit of a struggle not to.

The end of this miserable meeting also brought great elation for him, and so he prepared to leave. Yet, the words of Hering caused him to get the feeling that, maybe, he should stay around for a bit longer. So, Ha'zi decided to wait for what the Ranger and the rest of the Karoltai would do.

“If your powered, do you heal as fast as giants?” Card questioned Endo intently, before turning to Berethor, confusion gripped the Dunlendings face at the mention of friend, but soon he understood. “Friends, I’ll that when I see it, no offence. The reason I’ve been so cold towards you, is because you did some bad shit to my companions in my own time, though I suppose it helped; Morgoth hasn’t died in my reality, at least not yet.” Cardiloc reflected, the discussion of future pasts was confusing.

The room went silent.

Endo's gaze drifted down to the table, staring at his fingertips against the wood. Card could see his features contort and he turned away. Were those tears Cardiloc epsied? Berethor reached out a hand but the dark haired man pulled away, stood and walked off. Something had clearly shaken him.

The door slammed as Endo exited the dinning hall, leaving Cardiloc alone with Berethor.

"No. Unless these other Giants attack us then they are no threat. It appears from everything that has been conveyed that they seek freedom from Morgoth. In fact, it may be that they could be useful allies. Alas, we have no methods by which to contact or communicate with them. Unless...?" Aragorn glanced at the Karoltai seeking an answer.

Arandil and Thoruk found the bar they sought out as the sun began to set in the distance. It's name was the Rusty Pipe.

"Well then , master dwarf. Here we are. Let's go look for a table. Only one problem do you have any money?" He says as he checks if he himself has any at all.

"I mean, I don't think we have a good way of possibly doing it, besides, I dunno, Iver flying around and trying to spot them... And it does seem true that they don't care for Morgoth. When Iver and I were in His fort- not because of some ridiculous, 'purposeful' plot- the ones instructed to guard us expressed resentment towards Him and their situation. So, it is a really high possibility that they could work with or for us... Though I doubt they'd easily, or at all, agree to this due to just experiencing freedom in who knows how long."
