VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Cardiloc nodded. “And my power, and all the rest of the giants powers? And who did I go off to fight...?” The dunlending insisted.

Berethor went silent. "I've said too much. It doesn't matter anyway. You could do what Ha'zi could. Or well...this is difficult to explain. You can vanish and re-appear. And slow stuff. I think. I can't remember much, Card. Can I call you that? Card. Ugh. This is...I'm sorry..." He seemed lost at words. "Ha'zi can copy our powers. So I guess he copied yours. That's how he went to fetch you. I think. And...you fought Beren. You and Miriel tried to save him at first."

The wind rustled at the heights of the Citadel. The guards watched Sigeric and Ha'zi closely as they approached the Queen.

"Good, sir," She knelt her head down lightly and raised it up. Her eyes shone like stars and the babe she carried cried out a bit as her attention was divided. Sigeric was awed by her grace and elegance, completely unaware that this was Celeborn's daughter and the Queen.

"You can call me Card, yeah, but Ha'zi travelled back in time, does that mean I can do the same? I affect, time...?" Card nodded to Berethor. "And, who's Beren?"

"Who knows?" Berethor shrugged at that remark. "All we can do is hope." He swallowed. "Beren was...is...it's complicated. He's Lau-"

Whoosh.

Ha'zi appeared across the table in front of them.

"Berethor. What did I explicitly say?"

"Ha-" The man's voice cut off as Ha'zi clenched his fist and brought it down on the table causing Berethor's head to slam face-first into the wood.

The Iron Hunter slowly began to stand. He could walk but it was clear he was slow from the limp in his right leg. He placed on his armor and helmet then spoke, his voice becoming distorted once more.
"We are surely meeting our ends here." He took a step forward and made for one of the tunnels.

8861015

“Ha’zi, stop!” Card stood up quickly. “It wasn’t his fault, it’s mine, I was the one asking questions; shit went bad, I get that and you lost a lot, and I’m sorry for what you went through. But hiding stuff from me, it won’t help anybody. I need to know what happened if this is going to be prevented, to erase all the pain that monster caused, and more so I need to know it from you.” The Dunlending finished, glaring at Ha’zi.

Ha'zi glared at Cardiloc. "I strictly informed them all to keep their mouths shut. But little, old, Berethor here can't stop wailing about his Mirecy, now can he?"

"Sh-shut up. Don't you say her name-" Berethor managed to get out before Ha'zi's clenched fist tightened, his knuckles turning white. Cardiloc could hear strained breathing as Berethor's neck tightened up.

"Or what?"

"Pl-"

"I can't hear you." Ha'zi's fists were painfully numb.

"Sa-reee-" The Armoured Shifter seemed on the verge of asphyxiation.

Ha'zi unclenched his fist and Berethor collapsed on the table. His glare returned to Cardiloc.

"Want the truth? Want to know what happened? Is your curiosity driving you, Cardiloc? Is that what's happened? Or is it your greed? You had one of Middle-Earth's mightiest weapons buried in your pocket throughout the most important moments in history and yet you chose to stubbornly hide it from the world. You're pathetic, Card. You really are. Do you want to know the truth? Or do you want me to save the damn world? To save your stupid ass?! To save them?! If you want it to be prevented then shut the fuck up and let me do it myself!!!" With this fit of anger, Cardiloc felt something seize him. Slowly he felt his lungs compress and his breathing became difficult.

"ANSWER ME, CARD?! TELL ME?! TELL ME THERE'S ANOTHER WAY?! HAVE YOU SEEN ONE?! I SAID TELL ME?!?!?!"

12700073

Cardiloc was shocked, what had happened to the sweet, naive boy he had known. The horror and desolation of that beast had turned him hard, bitter and cruel. “Ha’z- sto.” He choked as Ha’zi screamed at him, The Dunlending felt anger surge through him, blind rage, and suddenly Card lunged forth at the Haradrim over the table, aiming to tackle him to the ground.

"TELL-" Cardiloc smashed into Ha'zi, tripping on the table in the process and their bodies collided. For a split second, there was a surge of electricity between them and a sudden dispense of air.

Cardiloc's ears exploded in pain as everything around him darkened and he found himself falling through nothingness, gripping onto Ha'zi. They were in the open air.

12700073

“FUCK YOU!!!” Card roared out, oblivious to where he was, he smashed Ha’zi round the face with his fist, before noticing where he was. “Oh shit.”

As he and Sigeric finally emerged outside, Ha'zi let out a sigh of relief. The uncomfortable times were over, for now. No more Glorfindel, personal jabs and awkward interrogations. Now, he could be at peace... at least, that's what he thought before a sudden feeling hit him: emptiness.

With it came the reminder of what had transpired the last time he was here with a certain someone, and the series of unfortunate events great show and book series btw
that soon followed. That feeling came 'round again when he truly realized that a few other important people were missing too. All that was left was this skeleton crew of the Karoltai; the only thing barely keeping them together was this sense of family that felt to be receding each and every day.

Ha'zi deeply, desperately wished for this toxicity that was starting to take the place of their friendship to go away so that they could be as they once were. Maybe, perchance, he could help that himself by opening up about his side of the story, something that he'd been dying to do for days. He'd start with Sigeric, of course, and now would be the perfect opportunity, so the lad chose to take it.
At the wrong time, it seems.

When the two started to walk, Ha'zi turned to his older companion when, all of a sudden, this wondrous- yet highly inconvenient- elf appeared before them. Things started to blur for him as her striking beauty simply startled him, and so he followed Sigeric's actions without a thought, dazed.

"-YOU IDIOT!" Ha'zi gripped onto Cardiloc and there was another spark of electricity. Suddenly they were somewhere else, a bright sky and a lonely mountain dotting the distance. The land beneath them was forest that stretched for miles. They were still falling. Cardiloc felt Ha'zi latch onto the Dunlending's hair and with absurd strength, Cardiloc was sure that the Haradrim albeit older and stronger did not possess naturally, yanked themselves together and screamed at the top of his lungs, "TRANSFORM YOU IMBECILE!!!!" As the wind ripped his words out of his throat. Cardiloc was loosing feeling in his extremeties from the sheer temperatures and high altitude winds caused his ears to bleed from the pressure.

-------------

The duo made their way out of the tunnels that permeated the Pelori mountains and found themselves staring across at a great forest that put Mirkwood to shame. Tall redwoods, huge oaks the size of Mumakils, mountains larger than the Redhorn and river streams with water clearer and bluer than the Bay of Belfast met Dimitri's eyes. The Forochelrim was astonished by the magnificence of the setting sun which glistened against the land and fell beneath the west. He was staring at the land of beings older than Arda itself. Valinor.

"The Woodlands of Oromé, my uncle." The Iron Hunter presented them, making his way down the mountainside.

Card felt queasy as they teleported again, he shoved Ha’zi away roughly, then bit on his tongue; hard. He tasted the metallic blood in his mouth before transforming into a magnificent white eagle, 20m in length from wing to wing.

The explosion knocked Ha'zi free. As Cardiloc transformed he felt the wind slash at his giant form. His eyes opened to see the sky and the large forest spread out beneath him. He could not see Ha'zi.

"Aye" Thoruk looks at the bartender and shakes his hand. "I like ya, elves wouldn't agree on this fun lad, glad you do so." he says before stop shaking his hand. "Well let's get this going lad, shall we?" Thoruk asks the bartender, looking confident.

Far, far below Cardiloc's eagle eyes picked out a rapidly descending shape becoming tinier by the second.

--------

The bartender slapped Thoruk.

"Are ye crazy? I'm not wasting my hard earned ale on ye! Take yer friend and fack off outta my tavern!"

A couple of the men in the bar began to stare at Thoruk and Arandil.

13615485

Thoruk looks at the bartender with a angry face. "Ya want to try me in combat skills?" he asks while grabbing his axe. "Do this once more and I'll slap ya with my axe good man . And trust me, after what i've seen in Mordor with the gondorian army, you'll get even more pain than all of them combined." Thoruk grunts before turning around. "Should we go back to the king and ask if he has a better tavern where we can get something to eat and not some scumbags that want to get killed lad?" he asks the gondorian, while walking to the exit, trying to behave himself, yet still his axe in hand.
