As he and Sigeric finally emerged outside, Ha'zi let out a sigh of relief. The uncomfortable times were over, for now. No more Glorfindel, personal jabs and awkward interrogations. Now, he could be at peace... at least, that's what he thought before a sudden feeling hit him: emptiness.
With it came the reminder of what had transpired the last time he was here with a certain someone, and the series of unfortunate events great show and book series btw that soon followed. That feeling came 'round again when he truly realized that a few other important people were missing too. All that was left was this skeleton crew of the Karoltai; the only thing barely keeping them together was this sense of family that felt to be receding each and every day.
Ha'zi deeply, desperately wished for this toxicity that was starting to take the place of their friendship to go away so that they could be as they once were. Maybe, perchance, he could help that himself by opening up about his side of the story, something that he'd been dying to do for days. He'd start with Sigeric, of course, and now would be the perfect opportunity, so the lad chose to take it. At the wrong time, it seems.
When the two started to walk, Ha'zi turned to his older companion when, all of a sudden, this wondrous- yet highly inconvenient- elf appeared before them. Things started to blur for him as her striking beauty simply startled him, and so he followed Sigeric's actions without a thought, dazed.
