VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Dimitri roared in pain as they pierced his eyes. and charges in the direction of the darts.

((Also my discord is failing to connect fsr so I can't really talk to anyone.))

Suring the weeks of training Hering would begin to feel comfortable around the mountain base and the new weapons, despite the fear of them blowing up in your hands or failing to do anything. However he couldn't help but go back to the day when they caught the brat, the fear that froze everyone besides Glorfindel in place. What would happen when that power was used again? What happened when the spears were lit but suddenly we didn't have the resolve to throw them? Hering would think about this for the past few days. Even as they started to make their way back to Minas Tirith. Perhaps it was time to strike? Although it seemed doubtful that they were ready already

Miriel swallowed. "Tell Ha'zi..." She glanced slightly back towards the crib. Iver heard the baby yawn and noticed, next to the boy another little creature...was that...did she...have twins?

"Tell him that I'd like to speak to him. Don't mention the babies, please. I'd like to be the one to inform him when the time is right. And-"

The door flew open.

"Halt!" Someone yelled from the outside as a robed figure entered. Iver saw Arathor-no not Arathor- Aranel. She stood there and unveiled her scarf. The woman sitting across from Iver flew out of her seat and was on her feet in seconds, something flashed in her eyes.

"Aranel," Miriel spoke.

"Miriel." Came the response.

The door slammed automatically behind her and the room was drenched in darkness.

----------

"Uhm..." The woman slowly scrabbled her way off Thoruk. "Yeah." Then she stood their sort of awkwardly glancing back at him. Her cheeks were redder than the rawest rubies under the Lonely Mountain.

--------

"Alright, come along. My name's Penduilas but you can call me Pen." She told Arandil and waved back at the village, "Let me get my partner and your friend then I'll take you to that Iver fellow. This way-"

A scream interrupted her. It came from the edge of the village.

Dimitri's blind charge led him straight into the bleachers of the arena. He crashed into it at full speed. Yet he could recover. The problem wasn't the crash. The problem was a gaping cut that he felt running from his neck to his groin. Suddenly the Dwarf Giant's insides fell out onto the floor. Where was that sneaky bastard?

----------

"Don't know exactly. But definitely some Giants." The Captain said. Suddenly he paused as something in the distance caught his attention. He listened attentively. Footsteps.

The door flew open and one of the rangers, Helvion, ran in.

"CAPTAIN!" He exclaimed, "The capital's been attacked!"

"The House of Eldrith is located on the fourth level, sir." The man said to Cardiloc. "If you could just-"

WHOBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM.

A flurry of rocks flew out from the top of Minas Tirith. There were screams and suddenly Cardiloc heard a familiar roar.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

12700073

--------

The situation had gone straight out the window. They had been told to wait to see the King. A day passed. Then another. They were watched like dogs by those hawk-eyed guards. Then suddenly a group of men in black cloaks had appeared.

Tytus had begun to speak to them. Asking for an audience with the King on the matter of their captured allies. They surrounded us slowly. Kept us talking. I saw it coming but Tytus did not. It was a trap. We had allowed ourselves into a trap. We still had the upper hand or so I had thought. I was becoming frustrated. What had they done with Mirecy? Were they torturing her? I was only thinking of her when it happened.

The Slayer appeared. He was hiding somewhere and came down on us. He knew exactly who we were. Almost as if he recognized us. He went for Tytus first. Smart move. Kill the strongest one. If I hadn't grabbed him in time...

The sword missed his neck but clipped his throat. Then the Slayer went for me. He stabbed my...I can't remember..all I know is he stabbed me. And now here we were.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

The Armoured Giant roared as it transformed through the Merethrond, breaking through the rooftop. In its left hand was the cradled body of a man gripping onto his neck for dear life. Around it were scores of those black cloaks.

"Take it down!" Tildir screamed the order as the plan backfired on them. How had those bastards survived? Glorfindel stabbed one of them through the chest and it still managed to transform. Hering and Erchirion watched the transformation of the Giant firsthand and saw the first fifteen meter Giant burst through the Great Hall of Feasts. It was a horrific sight.

"What in Eru's name was that? Was that someone you know? Whatever the fuck is going on , we have 2 options. Retreat to where Iver is. Or be the heroes and investigate or help if needed. What do ye choose?"

"Sorry to burst your bubble, lad. But we have one option. That came from where Iver is."

18199471

"Aranel," Miriel spoke.

"Miriel." Came the response.

"Beren" Iver said a name of a random person in the room, trying to fit in with the gang

Hering would cry out, he knew how powerful the blast radius was for the smaller giant. How many were I juried, or died from the bigger blast... "Take it down!" Tildir roared but Hering already saw what the others couldn't, being a archer had its perks. A keen eyesight, and with that he saw the unusual shade of the skin, almost like rock, or armor. He would begin to back up. Their weapons wouldn't be able to pierce the hide! "We fucked up... We fucked up... We fucked up..." He muttered, over and over. Flashes of the first giant attack happening

"Alright, we'll just be goi-." He began, before he heard the WHOOOOOOM. "Shit." He spoke aloud, he turned to Berethor and Endo his eyes wide. "Endo, take my hand, I'll need you at the top. Berethor, fourth level, Eldriths manor, find my sister, please." He explained to the pair, holding his hand out for Endo.

Thoruk stands up, spitting out the last bit of dirt, than looking at the girl, standing there, staring at him. "Aye, guess it wasn't only awkwardly for me as it seems." he'd think before putting off his helmet. "Excuse the rudeness, I just thought you will try to kill me without even giving me the opportunity to talk like the last one of you. The name's Thoruk. " he'd say. "No need to blush like that lady...?" he'd say, waiting for her to introduce herself.

"What?!" Ha'zi said in disbelief, then continued into a frantic barrage of questions. "What happened? Is it an invasion? Has Morgoth decided to strike?"
-------------
Meanwhile, Sigeric's eyes widened. Minas Tirith... attacked? His thoughts perilously went to the words of the Trickster
... of his fate there, and of that ominous vision... The Dalishman choked, his mind completely occupied with dread and doom, and could only wait for a reply, fearing the answer.

Um..." The woman muttered, "Uhm...uhh...I'm Yellena." She said backing off. "I'm sorry. Aren't you-wait, how did I fall..."

13615485

---------------

"What-" Miriel turned around to glance at the crib.

"Who?" Aranel saw Iver. "You." Her eyebrows furrowed and her hands tightened into a fist, "What are you doing here? I told you to leave when you brought me here."

Miriel turned back, "Wait-You brought her here?!"

14628767

---------

"Is that-" Endo asked in shock.

"Me," Berethor answered. His eyes were filled with a mix of emotions. "What am I doing...here?" He looked up at the rockfaces of Minas Tirith searching for an answer.

Endo reached out for Cardiloc's hand whilst Berethor stood there in shock, no hearing anything.

Scores of feet above their heads, an elf contemplated the situation at hand.

How did I fail? My sword went through his heart. He should be dead. Is this another Giant power? Does their healing extend this far? I suppose I shall have to behead him and throw the body into Mount Doom. Glorfindel sheathed his blade and watched as the rangers went to work on assaulting the beast. The other one was in its grasp. He had to isolate and kill them. "Do not allow them to escape!"

"It's the Armoured Giant!" Someone yelled. A fire-spear went off and exploded near the feet of its titanic body.

The Armoured gritted its teeth and reached upwards into the sky, its fist waving about and coming down, going to smash the nearest ranger.

12700073 15756962

Hering didn't know what to do. Duty told him to fight but personal greed told him to run, run and leave those stupid enough to stay behind. Gods and monsters, all stories yet now real. Real and in front of him. As Hering complempated his actions a armored fist began to descend down. "Get out of the way!" He'd cry going to rush out of e way of the strike if he was close to the impact zone.

THRASH.

The fist sent the stone foundation hurtling up and left a miniature crater, cracks spreading across the marble white floor of the Citadel. Hering was tossed backward and felt his cloak dislodge and flutter over him as he fell.

The Armoured Giant grimaced as a spear hit his obliques and bounced off. He was surrounded by scores of those black cloaks and the guards with feathered helmets. There didn't seem to be a way out except to fight. And if he lost he would die. So fight. Fight. Fight.

"RAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

Berethor screamed as he swatted away three guards with his available fist. The other one remained close to his chest, protecting Tytus who was too wounded. If Tytus could recover...maybe...just maybe they'd have a chance.

"Get up!" Someone grasped Hering's cloak and ripped it off, getting him to his feet. He saw it was Pethon. "We have to take down that bastard before he takes off or worse, he destroys the White Tree.

15756962

Hering was thrown backwards, his cloak dislodging and covering him like a blanket. As he hit the ground he'd let out a "Oof!" and skid across the stone. A slight buzzing was in his left ear when someone jostled and picked him up. Who? Pethon. What was he saying? "Get up!" He said, explains what he already knew. "Our spears won't be able to take it down, maybe eventually but we don't have enough." He'd say, yet as he did so he was living his own spear, scrambling for purchase of the wooden shaft while also attempting to light the bag.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You heard it this time right." Mirecyla would turn to Endo, looking at the ceiling above her while straining to hear. "That's them right? Or am I finally after the few years I've been alive gone crazy, well, more crazy than I already am."

"well, I was about to leave when you closed the door" Iver said before Miriel decided to ask him a question.
"Well, she tricked me into doing this but  yes, I did bring her here" Iver answered Miriel.

"Endo." He spoke to the man, refusing his hand. "Find my sister on the fourth level, Lady Eldriths manor, bring Berethor with you. And, who am I up against?" He asked, and once Endo replied he then he drifted back to his memories; the courtyard of stone he had remembered when he had attended Aragorn with his other karoltai. He reached out for the edge of the courtyard from where you could see the entire city.

"It's okey, no need to worry lady Yellena." Thoruk would say, taking a step towards her. "It will stay between us, so don't worry about anything, aye?" he would say. "As I tried to say before: I'm not your enemy. And I'm rather glad that we ended up in this... weird position than kill each other, I'm not a fan of killing a beautiful woman anyway." he'd say looking at her. "Too much?" he thinks, before answering himself with a simple "Nah."

Yellena was almost startled by this. "B-beautiful-wha-" She took a step backward.

Was the dwarf flirting with her?

13615485

-----------------------

"Ugh," Miriel grunted.

"You idiot." They both exclaimed in sync.

"Why would you help this monster? And she kills those like us? And you brought her straight to power town? Are you that retarded?!"

"Hey, I'm standing right here."

"You don't get to talk!"

"Miriel wait-"

"I said," Miriel dashed for her, "Shut up!"

"Mir-" Aranel's arms flew up and the younger woman stopped in mid-sprint, frozen. "Miriel. I just want you to listen to me okay. I'm sorry. Okay? I'm sorry. Yes, I'm a monster. Yes, I don't deserve this. But I can't live without you, Mir. You're my sister. You're the only family I have. Okay. I'm going to release you now. I won't hurt you or anyone else. I just...I just want it to be like before. I don't want to be a monster anymore. Please, Mir. I forgive you for trying to kill me. I forgive you for abandoning me. I forgive it all. Please. Please, Mir. I-I-I love you." Aranel's hands slowly fell and Miriel was still. She glanced up at Aranel and opened her mouth.

"I'm sorry, Aranel."

Iver could see tears well up in Aranel's eyes. "It's okay. I-I forgive you, Mir."

"No...I mean I'm sorry I didn't kill you the first time," Miriel's voice was sincere.

Aranel was unable to even formulate a sentence. She stood there dumbstruck, cheeks running wet.

"I'm not your family. You," She began moving forward, "Mean nothing to me."

Miriel's eyes went a dark green as she slammed into Aranel, unleashing a flurry of fists.

14628767

-------------------

"You've always been crazy. But I think I feel something." Endo muttered to Mirecyla as he glanced at the falling dust from the ceiling of their dungeon cell.

----------------

"INCOMING!" A man shouted as he was crushed beneath the Armoured massive feet. The beast growled and spun its leg around, kicking debris from the destroyed Merethrond upon the fleeing black rangers.

Hering watched as a rock smashed into another comrade.

"Come on! Prime the fuse and fire at its feet. We bring it down and cut open the damn nape. I don't care if we have to cut through the armor with a damn pickaxe!" Pethon said, lining up his spear and lighting the small fuse that ran up to the pouch of firepowder. "Aim for the left! I got the right!"

15756962

--------------

"Got it," Endo said and went over to Berethor.

"Wait...I need to-" Berethor's voice cut off as Cardiloc disappeared and re-appeared upon the great stone of Minas Tirith which burst from the Ered Nimrais and cut through the heart of the city. He could see the White Tree, dozens of Citadel Guards and Fountain Guards arrayed in spread formations as they cornered the Armoured Giant. He saw him now. Berethor. It looked exactly like him except with the armored scales of course. It thrashed around and swatted at men surrounding its feet, those ones with black cloaks like the ones that rescued them from Ithilien. He saw dozens of dead. What the hell was happening? Had the bastard attacked them?

It soon became evident to Cardiloc that the Armoured was disabled. Or at the very least could not use its left arm. It kept it clutched to its chest protectively. Was it defending its weakspot?

12700073

Cardiloc noted his apparant weakness, he'd need to get airborne as the soldiers would be in the way if he wanted to ram directly into the giant. Fire would be useful, but he needed enough raw strength to wrench the arm away and powerful enough jaws to bite at what the armoured giant was protecting, and he needed his form to be small this time, as to counter. If he had enough space, he'd transform into a ten metre long eagle, but with four legs and ferocious teeth like a wolf. It would be able to breathe fire like a dragon as well and possessed dragon claws. And upon it's head it possessed the horns of a ram.

Cardiloc found himself imagining the perfect beast. All he needed to do was transform.
