VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Hering would look at the winged demon then at the fallen armored giant. "Bigger target." He'd murmur. He'd grab his last spear and aim it at the head of the armored giant. Lighting the bag and throwing it with a cry of "for Gondor!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mirecyla would whirl around and do a tornado spin kick, going to hit Endo in the head "Shut your fucking mouth you cunt! All you've done is sit here and tell me to wait! Enough waiting you pathetic cunt. Rot here if you want but I'm not while our friends fight above. You damn well know it's them also." Mirecyla would yell at him turning to the door she'd once again charge. She had another power besides fear... As she charged she pictured her spiked hide and went to punch where she guessed the lock was. Picturing spikes through her knuckles.

"Thule, release me before either Miriel or aranel will commit kinslaying that will probably end with either you or me lying dead on the ground" Iver said in calm voice.

Yellena had gone silent. She was focusing on something happening in the village. Thoruk caught a familiar sight. Miriel! She was hauling that Aranel bitch's body over her shoulder. The woman was bleeding and looked like hell. What had happened here? Far behind her, Thoruk viewed Iver and someone tangled together at the doorway to a small cabin.

Iver could feel the woman pressed up against him. Her fingers over his lips, the faintest icy whisps dancing over them. She inhaled. "Let the baby go."

Miriel continued walking. She passed out of Iver's view and the last sight he had of Aranel was her red hair dangling over her bruised face, eyes half-open and dead.

Mirecyla slammed into the rusty iron bars and broke her hand. Nothing had happened.

"uhhhh...." Endo could barely speak as he drooled over the dirty floor. Mirecyla's kick had been far deadlier than she anticipated and she saw one of his teeth had come loose on the floor. She failed to escape. Failed to do anything. Anything except abusing the only person to keep her company. Her friend. What was wrong with her?

----------------------

Hering's fire-spear flew at the Armoured's face but was bat away by its hand. Upon contact, the spear exploded and a large finger slinked off and landed on the ground. Through the smoke, Hering could see the Armoured begin to move. It was...sliding away? Towards the White Tree!

"Halt the beast!"

"INCOMING!" Someone yelled as that disgusting beast fell and hit the ground, seemingly deceased. What the hell was happening?

Glorfindel's blank stare met Cardiloc's and for a moment the elf hesitated. Then he leaped on and straddled the eagle's back, his hands gripping into the Hybrid Giant's fur for a purchase. "We shall discuss the matter of your appearance after this is resolved. Now, let's finish this." He said to Cardiloc with a steady voice.

Beneath Card, the Armoured Giant had begun to crawl towards the White Tree. Was he attemting to destroy it? The bastard's legs had been netted down and men strained to hold it in place whilst its only available arm was cracked and burnt with a finger missing. He used it to pull himself towards the fountain and the icon of Gondor. Dozens of Fountain Guards came up with pikes and attempted to stab him to little avail.

Cardiloc squawked to Glorfindel in response, he’d then dive bomb towards the armoured giants exposed nape and started biting at it, using his claws as leverage.

"What in... -Iver -where, -Miriel? -That piece of shit there... she realy survived?" Thoruk had too many thoughts at once. He tried to clear his mind and keep on following Yellena. "Aye, have ya got a clue what's happening here? I hope it's not normal for people do drag around a dead body" he asks, asuming that Aranel would be dead but wasn't sure, yet again, she even survived his fireball.

Erchirion snapped from though. How would they stop him? He decided to speak up. "We could collapse the tower of Ecthelion to halt him."

"What happened to her? Pen, what happened to Aranel? We got to check up on her. I also need answers. What the fuck is going on for I am beyond confused and lost."

"When did this occur?" Vardamir ignored the Karoltai and asked the messenger.

"Some hours ago, sir! I came from Osgiliath. The Admiral sent for you."

"Then we leave at once." The Captain stood and glanced at them, "Onwards with haste!" He strode through the room and out the door. The messenger hesitated, looked to the Karoltai then followed.

"ARRGGGGGHHHH!!!!"

The Armoured screamed as Cardiloc ripped at its nape. Yet, to no avail. The armor plating was too thick. And as he attempted to hook his claws into the flesh, the Armoured continued to trudge along. Its legs began to move as well and the netting snapped. Now it was moving quickly towards the White Tree. With a single arm it swiped away at the soldiers yet its other arm remained shut and close to its heart, hidden beneath it as it crawled along on its front.

"Wait," Glorfindel said to Cardiloc, "Allow me." He drew a small brown pouch that was attached to his belt and after some fiddling, a small flame appeared. He dropped it and Cardiloc watched as the pouch slid down the Armoured's neck. "Up. Up now." The elf ordered him with haste.

"And risk hitting the captain and that friendly? As well as destroying our sacred tree and tarnishing the fountain? I think not. We need a better plan. How many of your fire-spears do you have left?" Tildir called to Erchirion as the Armoured continued its crawl.

"I...don't know..." Penduilas replied.

"Is that Aranel?" Yellena asked almost dumbfounded.

"What...what happened?"

They watched as Miriel walked off into the woods carrying Aranel's body. No one made a move to stop her. And eventually, they were gone. Figures fading into the shade. Meanwhile, there appeared to be a double-hostage situation with Iver, a rather attractive blonde and...a baby?!

Cardiloc flew up with surprising swiftness, using his wings to escape from whatever Glorfindel was going to do. Once at a safe distance he’d look down below.

Sigeric was the first of the disbelieving Karoltai to step forward, making his way past the dazed Ha'zi and the awkward messenger to follow Vardamir. While following, his thoughts were occupied by the news. Minas Tirith had been attacked. Hours before. This sent a chill up the Dalishman's spine, and then he shook his head in despair and stopped, briefly. They would obviously be far too late to help with anything at all; even if they had arrived in time, their training exercise earlier had depleted their transformations. And, yet, what exactly had happened? Was it what he saw in his unconscious state? Was it what he truly feared? It could not possibly have been an army. No sizable force could reach Minas Tirith undetected. Sigeric sighed. He'd have to keep going to find out. So he picked up his pace to catch up with the Captain, hoping and dreading.

Ha'zi uncertainly followed after the Dalishman, his body feeling sickened as he processed the news more and more upon each unanswered question. Of what scale was the attack? Who, in the first place, had attacked? Did those shifters from Morgoth's palace do this? Was it... What was the name... Oh, never mind... that thought was too distant and too brief of a memory. He gulped then looked back at Daugo, wanting to rather walk by someone than be alone with these devastating mental inquiries. "Coming along, Behemoth?"

"So it's her.. well, she can have her way with Aranel..." Thoruk thinks turning towards Iver. "Aye, Iver, glad we found ya and... why are you holding a baby?" he'd shout towards Iver and getting quiet within the sentence as he sees Iver with a baby . "How- why do you have- what in Durins name is going on here?" he'd ask, nobody in particular, totally confused about what was going on here. The girl that tried to murder him before was possibly killed by a woman who he couldn't realy see well, yet she seemed familiar and Iver holding a baby- is this his? Or is he trying to kill their baby, but who's baby would it be then? And what is the women with the blond hair doing with Iver? Too many questions to be asked and so Thoruk asked nothing for once. Standing there, looking at the others, he would then let out a simple "What is this here?" mumbling, standing there and waiting for things to unfold or even make sense for him.

The pouch slid between the row of armor seperating his neck from his nape and Cardiloc could see the fuse just about to reach the pouch...

Poof.

"Tch," Glorfindel muttered.

The flame sputtered out as the Armoured trawled forward using its single arm, roaring wildly. Why was it yelling so much?

Bells toiled from below and Cardiloc could hear the wails of oblivious folk on the lower levels. If the Armoured reached them...how many people would die...would it get to Lady Eldrith's manor? Would it kill Ela?

"Drop me down there. I shall burn it manually if I must stop the lumbering lout."

They were led out of the fortress at Cair Andros and to the docks, passing the skeletal remains of their previous battle. The bones were usually collected and hauled away for use in Osgiliath and Pelargir according to Helvion, the ranger-chef. And Sigeric was indeed correct. Daugo could not transform not for the next few days at least and both Ha'zi and himself were quite spent. What could they do in the case of an assault?

At the dockyard, Captain Vardamir boarded the ship alongside four dozen rangers who came with them. Most were familiar to the Karoltai and had their own names, stories, and personas yet these were disregarded in the face of the enormity they were about to face.

"You ready for the party, boys?" One of the men slapped Ha'zi's shoulder enthusiastically, attempting to brighten the mood.

"Let's kill some orcs!"

"Steady men. We're hours out from the capital." Vardamir intoned.

"Iver, release the baby!" Someone shouted.

Thoruk noticed a boy approaching Iver. He must've been no older than thirteen and shorter than Thoruk himself. The lad split in two then three then four then into eight and suddenly there were a dozen exact copies of the lad standing around Iver.

"Unhand Thule. You won't leave here alive, naked man." Equas said to Iver. The Dalishman could see his cause was hopeless. Miriel and her sister were long gone and now he threatened the life of an innocent child for no better reason than to preserve his own.

Thoruk and Arandil could see the tides turning. This wasn't even going to be a standoff. It would be a massacred. With Iver being the only victim.

The elf was about to leap off when the beast shook, rising upwards. He began to fall and gripped onto Cardiloc's fur. "Up! Up once more!" This was going badly.

12700073

"I..um...yeah, I am!" The Haradrim unevenly replied, attempting enthusiasm. But that would crumble pretty quickly due to some fool's cry of "Lets kill some orcs!", resulting in an odd look being on his face then a smirk as he formulated a reply. "Eh, orcs? Are you so sure about that? I don't recall this being the Third Age..."

Thoruk would move towards Iver and the others. "I know you well lad, what reason would you have to take a baby as a hostage lad?" he'd ask Iver. "Iver just give them their baby back, I thought we're here to ask them to join us. But this? Lads, do not harm him, he's an honorable guy, although it might not seem like so at the moment.. What we searched for was not a battle with you fellows." he'd say to the others, staring at Iver.
