VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"I disagree with Ha'zi, it's too heavy a burden for us to be able to just pick who will get it. I would do it as a lottery, with some of your best and most honest men participating in it. Let Eru or whoever's watching decide. Leave it up to destiny."

"Ah master dwarf, your witty jokes are worse than Iver's. Now lets go and find that son of a bitch before anything bad might happen. But hear me out. We do not run mindlessly, we have to be careful."

"What?" was his thoroughly surprised reaction. "So, Daugo, you're saying you'd rather have the choice be up to chance instead of selecting someone worthy one-on-one? I would've thought you'd think far differently due to the circumstances of how we came to gain our powers."

"What?" Miriel asked puzzled by this strange inquiry.

Berethor shrugged. "And what exactly do we plan to do here?"

They followed Cardiloc towards the great city. It was quite a distance away. Cardiloc could see that the fields of Pellenor had become accustomed to many of the great townships; some of which had nucleated and clustered to one another becoming miniature fiefs within the walls of the Rammas Echor.

Telimekhtar gritted his teeth and quickly dodged the swing, veering off towards Dimitri's left. The Son of Tulkas threw a skew of daggers towards the Dwarf Giant's face. They soared through the air with a whizz racing towards Dimitri's eyes.

The pathway led them up the hill and through the smoky charred remains of the forest. Ash filtered through Arandil and Thoruk's noses, to the point where the Gondorian was nearly asphyxiating from all the smoke. Yet, eventually they made it out and into a field. The scorch mark ended there. The duo caught sight of something rather peculiar. Giant bones littered the floor and from the looks of a few steaming pieces of meat left on a rather small skull, they were fresh. Sets of footprints lead off towards the north-east.

"Hurry it up in there!" Someone shouted from outside the kitchen at both men.

Vardamir raised an eyebrow at Ha'zi's offer. "Thank you, Ha'zi but-" He was interrupted by Daugo. "I see. Well, something could be arranged. But-" Then Ha'zi spoke up.

SLAM.

The Captain had slapped the table to focus their attention.

"The issue of inheritance is important but I was not specifically interested in the matters of Gondor's Giants being inherited. More so, other Giants." He let this hang in the air for a while before continuing. "With the danger threat from other Giants roaming Middle-Earth and possibly aiding the enemy as well as the war potential of each, it would be in our best interests to secure more. As many as possible, actually. In order to further bolster our forces for this war with the enemy. Do any of you have issues with this?" He asked the three of them.

“Well, I’m looking for Eonwe, but we need to explain everything that will happen to the other Karoltai and the King. If my fellow shifters are even here, after what I did...” He sighed, looking at the others gravely. “Berethor, you’ll help me with the talking, don’t reveal your identity til your in front of the King, and especially don’t reveal under any circumstances your the armoured giant.” He reminded the Gondorian, heading towards the first gate. “We can rest there, for however long you like, or if you wish wish we can look for... Mirecyla wasn’t it? Whatever happens, I plan to stay for at least a month.” He explained, heading towards the first gate.

"What in Eru's name is that?" Arandil would question Thoruk."Are those bones from other giants? Just like when Iver leaves his giant form?"

"Aye, they are..." Thoruk would quietly say, looking around for anything suspicious. "Last time I wasn't careful enaugh... well, you saw the burned forest, no further information needed I guess, so look out for anything that seems weird." Thoruk would get a bit closer to the bones and.. as it seemed, fresh flesh. "It's not long ago lad, from here on out we should be careful, Iver wouldn't have used his giant without screeching so loud that we could hear him, so this was someone else, maybe someone that's not friendly lad." Thoruk would say quiet, looking out for any further piece of information that might be around.

"Well," he said, a bit taken aback. "That makes perfect sense, if we can somehow manage to acquire the others. But, can we?"

"We tread carefully from now on. We can't risk anything out here. Be on your guard. I shall guard you, as you shall guard me. Can you transform if needed? Or wait, can they not transform again, since you said, that these seem... fresh."

"Every giant is different and we don't even know our own giants to 100 percent yet lad, so don't expect us to know every others abilities. And bout transforming? Nothing's impossible for a dwarf. Yet I used up all my power back there, with the firebalm and then trying to take the fire out with the river. So let's not go straight into a fight lad, I mean there's even the possibility that there are more than just 2 or 3 of them and then we're facked as Marco used to say.." Thoruk would tell Arandil.

"Perhaps we are. But if it comes to it, let us try to put up a valiant last stand. Though chances are you won't be killed rather captured. On the other hand I would most likely get crushed. But enough of that, let us move on. We need to try and locate this mad-lad."

"A epic last stand? Aye, I shall be doomed if I'd not make a downgoing worth of Durin. If it comes so far, just let me buy you some time lad, don't be silly, you know what happend back there in mordor. But you're right, let's focus on Iver" he'd say, looking for any thing suspicious he could find, giving them a hint of his location.

"Mordor.. Mordor.." He would stand there while Thoruk was searching. He was pondering, what really happened. For he had tried his best to forget the horrors he had witnessed. But all the memories came racing back like his old steed when hearing his master's whistle. He remembered his brother, he remembered how he left him. He wanted to try and get back to Gondor eventually to see him. But before he could imagine a happy outcome of him awakening and both of them reuniting he froze again. He remembered the death and destruction he had beard witness to , like his regiment being blown up. Men he trained with being burned alive or gone as ashes, blown away by the wind. He remembered how he had almost doomed his kin when he let that mad-man Joplin get away. He remembered the woods.. those damned woods he grew up haunted him after the expedition. He could hear them.. the howls. He could see the eyes of beats in the shadows, he could hear their roar and see them tear apart his kin.

Dimitri laughed as he threw the dart, simply raising his hardened right hand to block the darts and using his equally hard, meaty, and huge left hand to try and swat Teli aside.

Sigeric, without hesitation, dryly replied, "None at all, Captain. The more Giants under the Free People's command, the better." He looked over to the Haradrim for his response, knowing Ha'zi's connection to the Giants would probably cause a different reaction from him. But, who knows? Maybe he had actually moved on from that...
------------
"N-nope, no issues, either, sir." Ha'zi hastily responded to Varadimir, seemingly nervous due to the man's sudden outburst. In reality, though, he was internally fighting with himself to suppress any lingering attachments he may have still had, but it was still a good show for any looking at him, at least that's what he thought.

"Well, i don't know how to make it easy for you but one of my friends, Marco, he got the giant powers of the guy with the ball tattoo and ever since he got the new powers he has been in coma. Do you know why is that or how to fix this?" Iver asked, hoping that she wont freak out about this.

"You killed Joplin?" Miriel asked.

They found their way to a village in the distance. Before they could get closer Thoruk felt something snap.

His leg was pulled from underneath him and the world flew upside down.

Arandil watched as Thoruk was dragged through the grass in a old roped tent. Someone appeared in the tall grass, a female, and she was unarmed.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?!"

----------

Telimekhtar was swatted away by Dimitri's claw.

8861015

---------

"How do I find her, huh?" Berethor berated Cardiloc.

12700073

--------

The training commenced the next day.

----------

"There are certain, ah, plans that are in place to recruit them. However, should it fall to us to, ah, secure these Giant powers for inheritors, you wouldn't have any qualms with such an undertaking, no?" The Captain asked them.
