VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Aim for its ne-" The beast began to rise, "Damn it. We're out of range. We need to be at its height to score a successful hit. Go for its feet. Bring it down. We'll use shears to cut that bugger out for all I care! Pass me a fire-spear, soldier!" Tildir called out to Erchirion.

The Armoured Giant arose, its feet have healed over. Its single hand was clasped to its chest.

"Aim for the eyes. Let us blind the oaf." Glorfindel whispered and unsheathed his blade with his right hand whilst gripping on tightly to the eagle.

These bastards. We came peacefully and this is what they do to us. Miriel was right, unfortunately. Tytus...they nearly killed him. The Slayer. He took Mirecyla. This was his doing. He needed to die. He would rescue Mirecy and Endo one way or the other. Even if it meant tearing this city to its foundations. He'd find her.

Berethor thought before he felt something. A tingling feeling. It came from his right palm....

"Orcs, Giants, Trolls, same ol' same ol'. Bugs. We crush them like the insects they are." The man laughed.

"Yeah you're right! Third Age is done for. This is the Age of Men! The Age of Gondor!"

"For Gondor!" Someone cried.

"FOR GONDOR!!" Another repeated.

"FOR GONDOR!!!!!!" This brought them all into chanting. Even Helvion joined in. And Ha'zi and Sigeric both felt the crowd's enthusiasm reach them. This was an age of men. An age of change. An age where they could win. All their training had taught them that.

--------

"What exactly were you searching for then?" Yellena turned on Thoruk.

13615485

"Look out!" Erchirion hollered. He then tossed the spear above the soldier's heads, to Tildir. "I'm going for the high ground, in the tower, perhaps I'll get a good shot there!"

"As I tried to tell ya before, we hope that you guys would join us against Morgoth, but this can't be decided in a matter of seconds, I know that. For whatever reason Iver has a baby with him... that was not intended to happen. But I asure you, the only reason we searched for ya guys for months is that we need your help, Yellena. Trust me, he's not the guy who would try to use a baby as a hostage without a good reason, although I must admit, it's not realy smart from him anyway." he'd say, not sure of what to do. Help Iver against too many opponents? Stay his ground and let them slaughter Iver? No, that was no option.

Just as Berethor felt the tingling feeling on his palm, Cardiloc descended upon his head and raked his claws hard against its eyes, hoping to do as Glorfindel had asked.

Ha'zi stiffened. Yes, Gondor was what this was all about, he supposed. But, he thought dispirtedly, what of... no. This was his new home, these were his people despite their occasional prejudice towards him. He smiled. Here is where he belonged. At that thought, the Haradrim overcame his disillusioning thoughts and joined along in the ironic cry, "FOR GONDOR!"

"Copy that! I'll blow out its leg!" Tildir replied and rushed over to the beast as it fought with the eagle. Erchirion saw the tower and could make a break for it when-

Is that you...

SHLICK. SLIP.

What? My eyes! What happened? Did they-? Where was-

Tildir threw the fire-spear and it clipped onto the hamstring of the Armoured Giant.

Huh? My-

BOOOOM.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

The Armoured Giant toppled forward and came crashing down on the Citadel. It's right hand rolled out and nearly reached the Fountain. It attempted to move yet to no avail as it strained. Erchirion saw there was no need to reach the tower. All he needed to do was climb its back and plant the fire-spear in its nape. That's all it took, right?

"My second one." Glorfindel patted his belt. "Now. Let us see this beast off. Shall we?"

7267733 12700073

He took a drastic turn towards the giant and made haste. He dodged and weaved between the chaos, making his damndest effort to neutralize the giant before the opportunity closed. He vaulted himself on between the giant's shoulder and neck, and drew the spear from his back. He whispered to himself, "A chance for Erhirion, Swan Knight of Dol Amroth, to show his quality." He raised the spear high above his head, and with all force he could conjure, plunged it into the giant's exposed neck.

"For Gondor! And all the Free Peoples!" Sigeric appeared enthusiastic along with the rest of the men, but it was of course only a facade. He wasn't so naive as to think that the odds were in their favor. Morgoth was not the true enemy. He thought back to his vision, which he had first seen in Ithilien. He could recall every horrific detail, as if he had seen it not ten minutes ago. Of course, he had not shared this with any of the Gondorians. Why would they have believed him? They were so fixated on Morgoth that to suggest any other enemy would make him appear as deranged as the man who claimed to be his half-brother. Sigeric would find a way to convince them of the truth, eventually. He had gained much favor with the King and the Military since then, but perhaps it was not yet enough. Indeed, the only two people who he had told were Ha'zi and Daugo.

As Cardiloc landed, Glorfindel and he spotted one of the black rangers with a swan upon his cape rush up to spear the nape with as much dignity and pride as if he were planting the flag of Gondor over a reclaimed territory. The elf hesitated and allowed for the ranger move ahead with it. At that moment he heard something. A cough. Almost as if one were clearing their throat. His elven eyes moved quickly in the direction of the voice as his head turned but it was already too late. As Erchirion was about to plunge the spear in his eardrums exploded.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The scream was so loud that their ears bled and it caused Cardiloc's eagle to become permanently deaf. Then came the whirlwind which sent the eagle tumbling into the elf and the ranger, all three thrown off the Armoured Giant's back and hurtled through a crowd of soldiers and rubble. The fire-spear dislodged from Erchirion's grasp and flew off in the tumble, exploding nearby which caused him immense pain. It was only after he landed that he realized his right arm was missing. All that was left was a pitiful stump. The sheer agony caused him to faint and the shock made it one easy transition into unconsciousness. Glorfindel, on the other hand, found himself in Cardiloc's grasp. He was too dazed to respond to the situation yet Cardiloc's giant form had shielded him enough. He made out a man climbing up and walking over to the nape of the Armoured Giant.

Tytus bent down and knocked twice on the armor plating. "It's okay, Ber. You can come out now. I've had enough of this crap."

The nape of the Armoured Giant opened up with a waft of steam and Berethor was ejected from it. Tytus helped him up and they made their way around the White Tree, keeping distance with the Fountain. Most of the guards were dead or had been blown away by the scream. And the few that were recovering or able to fight back kept their own pace.

"Anyone come closer and I swear I won't hold back." Tytus shouted to them all. His breath hoarse.

The ship departed and it wasn't long before they saw the watchtowers along the Anduin and the many fishing villages. In the distance, to the west Sigeric could see the Ered Nimrais.

"Are you able to perform?" A voice interrupted their so far pleasant sailing. It was Vardamir's.

Erchirion's eyes were wide. He neither felt pain, or mourn. He was simply in shock. He didn't know what to do, and he lay breathless on the ground.

He took little time to reply, due to the chipper mood that everyone was in affecting him. "Well, Giant-wise I'd say probably not, but I could still attempt it. For normal, human form-wise, possibly, but as stated I'm pretty drained from practice. I could always try to attempt a fireball and lightning kick, or two, though."

Cardiloc looked over at Tytus, what was he saying? He slowly prepared himself for flight, then he looked down at Glorfindel, unsure of what to do.

"Cease, we mean no harm. Iver give them the child, Melkor be damned. We can avoid unnecessary fighting if we all just calm down. We must calm down. I beg of you, Iver, listen to me , give them what they want." Arandil turned to the shifters.
"In the name of Gondor, my home, my King, I swear to you if you let us live, if we give you back your child, and we walk free, we shall never step foot near this village , near you, near the baby." Arandil then fell on his knees, praying to Eru that his fellow companions and he himself would live through another winter, or at least another day.

Sigeric spoke after Ha'zi. "My Karoltai energy is drained as well. I knew that having all three of us train at once would be a bad idea. But even without my Giant, I'm still more than capable of fighting, if it comes to that. Do you know any specific details about the attack on the city, captain?"

Hering had witnessed all of this. He saw Erchirion pass out and blood surge from the man's stumpy arm. If the wound wasn't treated he'd likely bleed to death.

The elf slowly came back to his senses. He still maintained a hold of his blade and glanced up at Cardiloc with a nod.

"Just a bit more, Ber. We're nearly there." Tytus and him were halfway across the great spur of Minas Tirith.

"Mirecy..." Berethor mumbled.

"Yeah. I'm sure Taras has her by now. Come on stay with me, buddy. You're going to see her and you're going to do what I told you to do before. You're going to propose to her. I know you wanted to wait but I fear time is not on our side."

"Propose...?"

"Yeah, remember what we talked about. Remember how you felt about her?"

"Mmmirecy..."

"Yup that's it, Ber. Don't get all flustered on me now."

One of the guards rushed towards them with a pike. His armor clanked across the earth and Tytus spun around and saw him. "I SAID DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" He yelled. The man continued charging and shouted a battle cry, "FOR GONDOR!"

"I SAID STOP!!!!!!" Tytus' voice deepened unnaturally and the man halted in his tracks.

VRRSHHH.

There was a surge of electricity that lit within Cardiloc as he heard that.

The Citadel Guard twitched, then doubled over and began to spasm on the ground uncontrollably. Within a few seconds his body began to expand and a blinding flash of light grew from where he lay.

WHOOOSH.

Where the man stood was now a five-meter tall Giant. A Giant version of that man naked in all its splendor. It remained in place and stared at Tytus, drool hanging out of its mouth.

---------------------

"Gondor? Your King?" Raddis came out of the crowd. This was Arandil's first encounter with a southron. The man was twice his size and wider, black bulging muscles causing fear to ripple through the Gondorian's very being.

"Ya say yar with dem gandoorians? Eh? Da sam gandoorians dat Taraaas tol' us about? Eh? Ya came 'ere ta take moore of us? Eh? Like ya took Mirecy an' Endo?! EH!?" He walked up and stared down at Arandil, coming close enough for the Gondorian to smell the rancid breath of the black man.

Thoruk saw this was going south faster than Iver could yeetus that feetus.

"Nothing. The report came directly from Admiral Belkazar at Osgiliath. It must've been large enough to witness from the river-city. So, I believe we should assume the worst. Yet, the enemy did not come from the east. So, the north or over the mountains to the west? I'm in the dark like you." He said to Sigeric. "Now preserve your strength and let's hope you don't need it. Tell Daugo to remain behind in case. He may have some combat skill but it would be useless to throw away one of our most powerful weapons."

12519458 16315828 13527980

"Aye lad, keep ya tits calm. This will get us nowhere and if you wonna ask, jea, he's one of those gondorians you and the others here killed, with what reason? Just for fun and for the dark lord? You killed hundreds and wonder why they took 2 of ya guys? If you kill this one you'll have even more trouble. I can asure you, ya friends are still alive, but I can't guarante that if ya kill this one here aswell lad. I myself would've liked to kill one of ya guys aswell, the one that got carried away right there, she tried to kill me before, I used my abilities and she suddenly disappeared, but that won't bring us anywhere. Haven't ya guys had enaugh of this useless slaughter that occured back then? We came here to negociate and not to fight, dun know how many times I have to repeat that..." he'd say, shaking his head. "You have some that seem to understand that we're not enemies" he'd say, looking at Yellena and then to the person next to Arandil. "These two could've fought us to the death, but instead they lead us here... for whatever reason" he'd add, looking at Yellena. "So in Durins name, Iver " Thoruk'd say, loud enaugh for everyone to hear. "Give them their baby back and stop this madness." the mighty dwarf'd say, putting on his helmet, looking at Iver with a grim look. "Why would he throw his own plan away like this? Find them, get them to join us, not make them angry..." he'd think, waiting for an answer either from the dalishman or from the other shifters.

Hering watched the scene unfold with both terror, awe, and lack of hearing. It wasn't until ironically the screamer screamed he could hear as clear as ever. The armored taken down and beaten but not killed. Erchirion going to finish the blow, then everything going to shit. The man from before appeared, healed and ready to fight. Now he threatened to do what? Hering would go to pull out his sword when a citadel guard rushed them. "You idiot what are you doing!" Hering would cry when suddenly the man exploded, no, expanded. Another giant?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"AHHHHHHHHH" Mirecyla would roar, clutching her broken hand and letting go. Using some of Miriels anger and much of her own Mirecyla would batter at the door. Kicking and punching, screaming from pain, worry, and anger. She glanced at Endo and saw him on the ground dazed, a tooth on the floor. She'd collapse and start crying, the first time in years. "I'm sorry Endo. I'm sorry." She'd say in a voice hardly louder than a whisper

"What bullshit are you talking about you big buffoon? I served my King protecting MinasTirith in the war of the ring. I went in the expedition in Mordor only to watch people I had trained with and known become ash and be blown away by the wind. But this "taking more of us" is clueless to me."

Cardiloc squawked to Glorfindel, beckoning him aboard his body. Once the elf was on, he’d fly up into the sky, higher and higher and higher. Flying up, above the five metre giant. Then, once he was on the other side of the giant, he’d just circle there, awaiting Tytus’s next move.
