VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Depends on what you consider to be 'good'," Ha'zi replied with a thin smile. This was not the man he had expected. He pictured Belzagar much differently, more like a stuffy, glamorous politician. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. "What we've got may not be the most uplifting material."

Cardiloc cursed that his dream had been ruined, wait, was that the jailor? Card slowly got up and looked for who it was.
[rule]
Rambo headed over to that table, he needed an ale soon and fast.

He slowly lets the meat melt on his tongue as he enjoys the taste of his probably last good meal for some time. "Aye lad, I have things I need to do." he'd say, slowly turning his head towards Equas. "With or without help, I've got a clear path infront of me lad. There's no time left to stay and wait for someone here. I'll leave, with or without my friends." he'd say, then turning away, staring into the fire again.

--------------

There was no doubt, they went this way. "Into unknown territory? Let's go" she'd mumble, sneaking down the hatch entrance.

Iver could barely see behind him but caught a glimpse of the gargantuan figure of the Iron Hunter, strapped to a chair which was tied to Iver's. He thrashed about but the ropes that bound him tightened like serpents around his wrists and constricted him.

A visage appeared of the Trickster out of a bath of smoke, walking through the pantry with a chef's hat on his head and an apron which read 'Kiss the Cook'. He waltzed over to the kitchen counter and glanced out at the two individuals with a sigh.

"You're both ensnared in my magical ropes. The only way you're going to get out of them is if you work together. That or you could sit there for eternity and watch me teach cooking lessons to the lovely ladies over at channel nine news in Nevada," He stated and began gathering cooking materials including a spatula which he raised and warned, "And no swearing while the shows on. Or I'll spank you."

Telimekhtar resumed thrashing whilst growling like a cornered wild animal which caused Iver's chair to violently rock about, the ropes tightening around Iver's body. He was being strangled and not in the kinky sexual way that Iver hated to admit that he enjoyed.

Her eyes softened upon Arandil.

"What? You're leaving now? But this was just becoming interesting." Dina said.

18199471

-----------------

"Go ahead. Speak your mind. I'm just a stranger with nothing better to do. So, what'll it hurt?" Nuri shrugged and yawned.

------------------

Mirecyla's power befell Berethor and he winced slightly.

"Mirecy-" He gasped before being frozen. She looked into his mind and saw his fears.

Morgoth, the Valar, Sauron.

She dug deeper.

Lungorthin, the Balrogs, the horrors and tortures of Angband, the Gondorians, the Slayer and his pale white hair.

And deeper.

Running, on the run, perpetually escaping danger, never settling.

And finally, she hit rock bottom.

"Mirecy!"

She was ripped from his mind after seeing it. It was...it was...no...

Berethor shook his head and looked at her in pain. "What are you doing? I told you to never do that to me!" He exclaimed but she couldn't hear him over what she'd seen. It was too much for her. She could barely process or formulate it.

"Mirecy!" He shouted again but she was still running over what she had viewed.

How could he-how was it that he-he did-

"Mirecy!!!" She saw him again. He was right ahead of her now, it appeared as if he were going to hit her, his hand rushed straight at her.

His darkest fear returned to her at that moment.

---

Berethor stood over Mirecyla's lifeless body. He clutched it in the rain. Blood trickled from her lips and he cried. She had never seen him cry. Not even during their duels, not whilst fighting, never. But there. She saw it clearly. He was crying over her. He loved her.

---

Berethor's hand slammed into Mirecyla's shoulder, throwing her backwards just as a wall of flame rushed towards her. Whilst probing his mind, she had become oblivious to what was happening. A massive explosion shook the field, destroying everything and rushing towards them. At the last second, she was pushed out of the way as Berethor was consumed by the flames, engulfed in them with a dyting scream. "Mirecy!!!!"

She woke up. Her body was coated with sweat and her back no longer burned but was still sore. She heard something as her eyes acclimatized to the darkness in the dungeons.

KLANK. CLING. KLANK. CLING.

Cardiloc saw three guards pass his cell. Ahead of him was the self-proclaimed princess waking up. He noticed her back had been covered with some sheet and some feet away, snoring against her cell wall was Endo, shirtless. Had he given her his tunic? Why?

The guards paid no heed to either of them and moved towards the cell directly left of Cardiloc's. He heard keys jingling and the door opened.

"Alright, put him down. Make it quick." One of the men said.
"This isn't right."
"Who said so? This one is dangerous. You heard the rumors. He attacked the Citadel and caused the rumblings yesterday."
"Orders are orders." The third one shrugged.
"And I want to get paid." The second agreed.

Cardiloc heard a blade ring as it was unsheathed.

Tamara descended into the depths. It was the most pivotal choice in her entire life and likely the worst one. For she became lost in a labyrinthine dungeon. She wandered too far, driven by her curiosity and speed, going down one too many tunnels. In the end, it had been hours and she was forced by a mixture of hunger and weariness to sleep on the dusty, dirty floor. It was only when a distant klinking woke her that she found the strength to continue.

-------------

"Go on?" Belzagar said encouragingly to Ha'zi. "Anything is better than nothing."

Rambo found that ale. Drank it. And drank more. Until he could no longer drink. It was a surprise he was still conscious, and more of a surprise that he was afloat and hadn't sunk like the man knocked out in the seat next to him. One more drink couldn't hurt now, could it?

------------------

"What happened to Iver? Did he just ditch you and the other guy?" Equas asked whilst Thoruk brooded like an even bigger edgelord than Morgoth.

---------------

"Dimmy! Dimmy!" Her cries faded as he ran past more and more cells. Some filled, some empty. It became a blur to him. All that mattered was Master. Master. Master. His Master.

Eventually, he came to a large set of double-doors that were shut.

8861015

Sigeric was surprised by how informal this was. They had not even introduced themselves. He remained silent for the moment, allowing Ha'zi to finish whatever he was going to say. Meanwhile, Sigeric carefully observed the General's mannerisms and appearance, looking for any further insight into the man and his disposition.

"Tin head, don't take that personally, but your family is a bunch of psychos playing God, especially your uncle Orome" Iver said to the iron hunter. "Also what's yar name" he asked

"You dare insult the Ainur? Guardians of Ea! You truly are a servant of Morgoth! Dimitri was righteous and holy! A true champion of Tulkas! I will save him! And you, you will die by the hands of Telimekhtar, Son of Tulkas!" Telimekhtar slammed forward and the chairs edged forward dangerously. Iver's feet were lifted off the ground and he began to fall back.

The Guardian Shifter noticed how relaxed Belzagar was in contrast to nearly every other official they had seen. Vardamir shifted uncomfortably. It was clear now. He was unlike the rest. This man did not care for petty trivialities and paperwork.

Cardiloc stood up slowly and realised what they were about to do. They were trying to kill Glorfindel, the fucking snakes, hiding his rising anger Card focused on the outside of his cell and tried to teleport there. He’d then casually lean against the bars to his cell and coughed. “Hello there.”
[rule]
One drink too many, he could not do it. Rambo decided he’d had enough to drink, he slowly stumbled towards the door; getting back to the barracks would be difficult.

Mirecyla would look around panting and shaking what the fucking hell was that? She said it outloud this time "What the fucking hell was that." She noticed the soreness in her back along with a heaviness, seeing the difference in clothing she'd pull on it to see what it was. Upon noticing it was Endos she'd look over at him to give thanks, but noticed he was sleeping. Letting out a shaky sigh she'd go to stand. Walking over to Endo while going over the damned nightmare fuel vision.

She saw his greatest fears, and was that her death? Did Berethor kill her? What had happened? Then the wall of fire and explosion, had the Behemoth or Leviathan transformed, and Berethor... His death. But most importantly she saw that he loved her, his greatest fear was loosing her. Tears streamed down her cheek as she recognized that sign. Taking off Endos tunic and laying it on him. She hardly noticed the guards come down until they started talking about killing the Slayer.

Walking over to the edge of her cell she'd call out, taking a deep breath before doing so. "Hey ranger bitches, I have a question for you. Why are you killing the elf? What'd he do, I'm very curious." As she said this she attempted to do something else, putting one hand behind her back she attempt to form a dagger out of pure fear. Remembering how the Balrogs could summon whips of fire out of nothing she'd attempt to do the same.

"Well, it's either me or my friend that will leave. Since Lasser wants one of us to remain. Im going to have to discuss this with him, he just arrived with that elk from their hunt. I think it's best we go and eat it while it's still nice and fresh. Ill try and find him and see who will remain behind."

It was difficult and Rambo stumbled quite aways but eventually reached it. He even managed to find an empty room and crashed on its bed. That was a good nigh-

SNORE.

--------------------

Having given the tunic back to Endo, left Mirecy with a gaping tear in her clothing. Gladly her back was to her own cell so none of them but Endo would notice. And Endo was too busy snoring away quietly.

Mirecyla could see two guards had entered the Slayer's cell and the last one locked the door behind them, leaving the key in it. He turned and she noticed it was the nicer one from before. Harris or Jarris, something like that. He raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "Traitor. He stabbed one of the giants through the head and caused a fight to break out yesterday. The Armoured I think? Right lads?" He turned back but the men were too focused to pay him any heed. "Well, we killed that one. Burned it to death, I think. Then drove them out of Gondor. Apparently, it was meant to be peaceful but the elf broke down the negotiations or something like that." Mirecyla felt her skin part from her spine as a jagged black shard formed slowly and painfully. She had to bite her tongue to force herself not to scream out. And atop this was the fact that Berethor was dead. Burned to death or so Harris claimed. And by no other than the Slayer.

She saw the guards in the elf's cell raise their blades, though she could not see the Slayer for he had curled up in a corner out of her view.

He heard Cardiloc and turned to him. "Ah, awake are we. How'de do?" He responded.

The Dunlending saw someone in the cell opposite, Glorfindel. A man with dark hair like the Gondorians and fair skin. His face was dirtied, though, but he would have been handsome without the mulch. The Serpent Shifter stood up and approached his cell bars, cautiously watching. Card heard steel ring out and the sound of a blade swing through the air in the cell next to him. He was too late.

"I can bring you to him if you want?" Dina offered.

18199471

-------------------

The doors parted. Manwe be blessed. And Dimitri saw a massive library before him. The greatest library. His master's library.

8861015

She'd get up, feeling power flowing through her, although she felt hungry and tired a while ago. "No time to question it" she'd think, trying to find an exit, or possibly something else that would get her out of this place.

His smile edged a bit towards more of a grin, but then faltered when he started to speak. "I'll start with the good first, as all spoken reports should. First and foremost, we have the Serpent shifter. They a tad burnt, due to actions performed against him in the battle, and has been unresponsive- not verbally, but out like a light. He may need to be inspected, but that is, of course, a risky thing and so should be done with much caution, if at all.

Secondly, Cardiloc- sorry, the Hybrid- has, at last, returned. He was found randomly on the field of battle by one of our own, and seems to be in well condition. There are some other factors with him, though I'll expand on that subject later.

Lastly, there's the losses. Although any life taken is a tragic one, it is clear to say we had good numbers for what was faced. About thirty-ish, I can say, were killed in the skirmish, and most likely more for the injured."
Ha'zi pauses for a moment, allowing for anyone to get a word in and/or for what he had said to be registered by everyone gathered.

Mirecyla would bite down on her tounge as she felt something come out of her spine. Who fucking knew it'd be like this. A painful bitch it was to form the dagger, if that's what was coming out of her, no wonder the Balrogs were so angry all the time. Grabbing ahold of it she'd pull it slightly to see if it's come out faster. Rage and sadness ruled her however at what Harris said. Berethor couldn't be dead, it was impossible, unlikely. But if it was true, she'd kill every damn Gondorian she saw. "Are you certain about this? Also can you let me out? I have my own grudge against the elf."

Dina smiled brightly. "Come with me!" She grabbed Arandil's hand and pulled him along as she ran past some of the village folks who stared wide-eyed at the two of them. She pulled him around a corner and through two houses then out into a new venue where he saw a single man sitting on the porch of a medium-sized cabin. It was Lasser. He looked up, his hand caught combing his beard and watched the two approach.

"Here ya go," She shoved Arandil slightly towards Lasser's cabin and waited behind, just within hearing distance.

18199471

-----------------------

"And what of the other hostiles?" The General asked.

"The Armoured and Screamer retreated, sir."

"The elf?"

"Secured in the Underground, I believe."

"You believe?"

"Your men took jurisdiction over him, sir." Vardamir kept a serious tone throughout the entire conversation.

"Excellent."

"There are a few more issues to discuss." The captain continued, "The Screamer killed far more men than I anticipated. Apart from being able to scream loud enough to create whirlwinds, he was able to, how should I put this, create giants of them." He looked to Ha'zi and Sigeric for a better explanation to Tytus' abilities.

16315828 12519458

-----------------------

Tamara found herself wandering down the long tunnels once more. Searching desperately for a way out.

Yet...there seemed to be none. Then she heard it. A scream. It came from the direction she was wandering towards and a little to the left or so it seemed.

13615485

---------------------

"Hah," Harris laughed, "Nice try, hanny. And yeah. We got your friends. He was the sole survivor." Harris nodded to the cell Evenis had been dragged into. Mirecy still hadn't heard from him. But suddenly, the jailer's face morphed into fear upon glancing at his cell.

Cardiloc's concentration slowed time down just enough to see a series of events unfold in succession. He heard the slow zzziiiinggg of the blade parting the air in Glorfindel's cell; he saw with his eyes as the Serpent Shifter grabbed ahold of the cell bars and opened his mouth, he then proceeded to gag and a thick bluish viscous bile hit the steel with an oozing noise as the guard let out a scream in panic; Mirecyla seemed in extreme agony, though why he could not tell as her face scrunched up, perhaps this was her way of dealing with the news of Berethor of his time's untimely death; and of course, throughout all of this, the soft snores of Endo were slowed down to a mellowed tone in the background.

Mirecyla's skin ruptured as the spike ejected into her hand. It was bloody and she felt a great release as her back began to steam and heal. Out of no where, Harris began to scream and the two men inside the elf's cell turned around out of the shock. Did he see her? But no-he was looking at Evenis' cell.

15756962 12700073

As the spike came into her hand she'd breath a sigh of relief, Evenis was doing some shit that caused the guards to scream in terror. Good a distract, she'd put the spike against the cell bars and start to attempt to cut through them. "Endo wake up!" She'd yell.
