VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Yes, except that because of our attempted negotiations becoming botched due to the interventions of ambushes, I believe it would be more of a 'could have' than a 'can'. The only 'negotiations' I see happening are using the Leviathan as leverage to get their own back."

Cardiloc pissed himself, he was terrified, absolutely terrified. He collapsed onto the floor in craven fear. When he thought of Beren entered his mind he fell deeper into despair, not only because he had killed Ha'zi and his powers were immeasurable, but because of Cardiloc's failure to save Ha'zi when he had the chance. He was gripped by immense guilt.

"Down on the left?" she'd say to herself. She would walk further into the direction, but would there be something leading downwards ? She was unsure of what she would find there, but whatever it would be, it's better then staying alone in this... not so exciting place.

Sigeric occasionally nodded as if to confirm Ha'zi's statements. At this point, he spoke up. "Speaking of negotiations, I would like to know exactly what occurred during the catastrophic failure of the negotiations that took place here. Who presided over the meeting?"

Mirecyla projected those horrors upon the Slayer but he remained standing.

"Sigh," He took a step towards her. Then another. She saw he had blood soaked across his leg and back and his face was covered with dirt and dust as well as more dried blood. Whatever happened to him must have been epically wounding, yet here he was, walking towards her as if unfazed by the full brunt of her power.

Endo stepped forward with the shard, attempting to defend her.

Cardiloc began frothing at the mouth as he saw Beren coming for him. Murdering him. Ripping him to shreds like some savage beast. He saw things that he was unsure could even be Beren. An eldritch horror with tentacles and tendrils and all manner of appendages in the resemblance of some hybrid between a bird of prey and a spider. It was gargantuan and it crawled towards him, its teeth soaked with blood and saliva. It wasn't Beren but it was...it was to Cardiloc. Deep down he associated this creature with him. It churned rage within Cardiloc. Rage at his failures. Rage at his weakness. Rage at his patheticism.

Tamara turned the corner and found the source of the screaming. There was a man crawling across the floor in front of her. A guard, actually. Behind him was another man, his clothes like brown linen rags. He saw Tamara and paused then swallowed.

"Hey," He called to her. The guard turned to see the thief and shouted, "Get help! Inform the Citadel! The prisoners are escaping!!"

"Well. If it's possible. I wanted to establish a peace before this conflict escalates any further. We'd be willing to trade the Serpent." Belzagar said. "This mission should take place soon. However, our priority should be the King's festival-" Sigeric interrupted the General.

"The prototype shifters were meant to be given stay within the city until Prince Faramir of Ithilien could attend them, since the King is abroad visiting the nations of the Free Peoples in preparation for the festival. Before the Prince of Ithilien could be summoned to the capital, the elf, Glorfindel precipitated the negotiations by attempting to assassinate the prototype delegation. In the ensuing aftermath, the only ranger squadron stationed in the city alongside the brave men of the citadel defended it against the threat and managed to rid them without much damage. However, the elf in his haste continued to pursue them along with, the one known as the Bestial Shifter. If I'm not mistaken?"

"Do you want to see them now, Daugo?" Nuri placed a hand over his shoulder.

Iver grunted as the idiot just tried to fight the magical ropes. "Stop, just stop" Iver shouted in pain as the movement and his overall lack of rest stopped his spine from fixing itself. "If you want to get us out you shout try and use one of your knives to cut the ropes, and if that doesn't work just cut my arm below it, i can grow a new one" Iver shouted at the maia who wore iron helmet to cover his lack of brain.

Daugo raised an eyebrow, his wit peeping through the alcohol-induced haze on his mind. "'Course... Jst... Who zacly're you?"

Shit, she was all out of tricks. A look of worry came over her face but vanished when Endo went to go step forward and protect her, what was he doing! The slayer would kill him! Fear and panic of her own began to take place. But she wouldn't let that distract her, no, she'd absorb it. Using it similar to how Raddis did, not only that she'd also do the same with the guards and Endo who was no doubt terrified. Mentally keeping her power trained on the three in the cell she'd charge forward, going to try and use the absorbed fear (if she could that is) and increase her speed, yelling at Endo to move out of the way as she jumped at the Slayer.

As she jumped she recognized her mistakes from before when she tried to channel her giant. The first try she was probably to tired, the second try she didn't exactly focus. This time she pictured her giant fully, noticing the distinct features of it, the tougher hide, claws, and spikes. The darkness of the hide, placements of the spikes, and the claws drew her attention, she'd focus on the legs of the giant and transfer the image to her own form. Skin darkening and growing slightly tougher, claws breaking through her toenails, and spikes emerging on her knees and back of the ankle like a bird for added attack, during this she'd yell and twist her body midair, going to kick the Slayer in the chest with a sidekick.

Tamara would duck down a bit, taking a pose, somewhere between wanting to fight and wanting to dodge something, dagger in hand, backing off from the guard. A bit of sweat would run down her forehead as she stands there, looking at the prisoner, yet trying to keep her cool. She looked at the guard with some sort of fear. She always thought these guards where untouchable when it comes to fighting, that's why she always ran. Well, not exactly because of this, she's rather a passive person, not realy willing to fight and kill someone, but nevertheless she was stunned by the guard, brought down by a single prisoner? Then she would turn her head up a bit. "Hey?" she would say with a quiet high voice, then caughing and speaking again. "You are one of the prisoners that where taken through the city? Who are you?" she'd ask, not willing to help a guard, the guards that hunted her every day, no, but could she trust these thieves? these... murderers? these, prisoners? Whatever they were, it wasn't realy clear for her if they would attack her aswell and so she would keep her distance.

Cardiloc was furious, not only at himself but at Ha'zi (not the older Ha'zi but the younger) for distrusting him, those Gondorian cunts for throwing him in here in the first place, those soldiers, Glorfindel for being useless, Endo for deliberately lying, the snake who had caused this mess and most of all that seething lying bitch. His fists curled up and he suddenly stood up, his fear shaken off replaced with blind rage. He roared out. "You fucking bitch!!!" and marched out of the cell to face down Mirecyla with Glorfindel, his eyes burning with anger, once he saw the fight going on he'd run straight at Endo attempting to floor him. If he slashed at him with his shard he'd attempt to slow down time to avoid the strike.

"DO NOT COMMAND ME, INSOLENT WRETCH!" Telimekhtar yelled and threw themselves this way and that. This continued for the next hour with the two of them bickering like old woman until the Son of Tulkas thrashed so tightly that the ropes restricted his breathing and he fell unconscious. His body hit the ground, crushing Iver beneath him. The Dalishman slowly healed whilst the Iron Hunter slowly crushed him to death. It was the closest thing he'd gotten to having homosexual relations. Aside from that one time in the Rusty Pipe...

"G'day, Arandil." Lasser muttered and went back to enjoying the afternoon day.

Dina stood there. She'd waited for him. "What'd you talk about?" She asked.

"As I said. My name is Nuri. And I'm a friend," Her eyes shone brightly and for a second Daugo thought he was dreaming. Suddenly, he appeared in what seemed like a massive hall. Great chandeliers hung from the roof which was immeasurably high and various ornaments decorated the hall. On its sides were sets of prison cells. And directly ahead of him, was one containing two small folk.

"Dad?" He heard one of them squeak.

13527980

-------------

"Hey," Evenis repeated waving at Tamara, "Who are you?" He asked in an almost neutral tone. He appeared to carry no weapons but otherwise, how had he got out of his cell and why was the guard crying and crawling away from him? The guard had a sword but he chose to run from a fight against this unarmed prisoner. He looked like a Gondorian peasant. He had the hair and fair skin. Almost like her. Was he just another thief that was unlucky enough to be caught? No. He was something else. Those others had taken him. Maybe he was a wanted criminal? A murderer? Maybe?

"Kill him!" Harris shouted at Tamara and slowly began to stand.

Endo leaped out of Mirecyla's way as her body underwent a series of transmutations. Her lower-body sheathed over by scales and armor with spikes appearing and talons emerging. Her clothing ripped from her calves to her thighs as the mutations grew in size.

Glorfindel raised his hand and caught her foot with a single movement. It was too quick for her to register. And with a brisk toss, he threw her aside like a rag doll, smashing her into the prison cell wall. He then walked past, paying her no heed.

This broke her attention, resulting in the barbarian awaking and charging her. Cardiloc saw Mirecyla's body had transformed seminally and she was spread against the left wall. The guards were still in shock, their bodies paralyzed on the floor.

Glorfindel walked out of the cell and into the hall where he saw the Serpent chasing down the other jailer. Endo blocked his path and wielded the single shard. Endo was sweating but stood his ground as Glorfindel took a step forward, paused then cracked his own neck with a single stroke.

"I-I asked first" she'd answer. How could a normal peasant take out a guard, or make him flee? Could this be a trap to catch her? No, this couldn't be, they hadn't done this before, why should they do something like this now? "Because of the chicken?" she'd think, remembering the... tasty, so tasty chicken..."You seem like a gondorian" she'd say, snapping out of the chicken-dream before getting interrupted by the guard, slowly getting up. Tamara would take a step back. "S-stay back, I have a weapon" she'd mutter, pointing at the guard with her dagger. "You guards are all the s-sam" she'd add, staring down the guard, blade in hand, but would she realy be able to use it?

"ARGH" Mirecyla would grunt as she was slammed into the wall. God dammit, she expected that to go so much differently in her head, not really any damage being done but she pushing the elf back. Damn, she decided to lay on the floor for a bit when she heard the barbarian roar angrily. She'd sigh as she realized her magic wore off. Concentrating again shed focus her magic on the guards and channel the fear agin, having it increase her strength as she stood to face the Hybrid. As she did so she noticed Endo going to face the shifter. Quickly speaking to him she'd have a moment of understanding with her nemesis. "Let him go Endo, his fight may be done with us, go help Even." She'd say, charging the Hybrid as she went to transform her arms similarly to her legs. But as she did so shed yell out "TARAS IF YOUR DOWN HERE MEET UP WITH EVEN!"

Her arms up to her should hardening and turning into scales, her fingernails shed themselves into claws the color of darkness, and spikes formed on the back of her elbow and jutted out like a Blade Below the Shoulder on her knuckles. She growled and even went as far to transform her teeth to form daggers. Charging him shed send a swipe with her legs at the feet of the Hybrid, going to knock him over and try to stick him with the spike coming out the back of his ankle.

"What the f-- Gully? B-Bolham?" A flood of emotion ran through Daugo as he saw his family alive. For a moment, he thought he was dead, and relished the idea, but then happiness took over, and he trudged with more than a little dizziness towards their cells, as fast as his drunken feet could carry him.

“Can't really confirm much, as we were obviously not present. But, yes, most of it matches up with the other bits and pieces of evidence we've seen. The negotiations, Glorfindel's part in messing it up, he and Cardiloc's flight; sounds about right. Oh, and it's the Hybrid- not Bestial- Shifter, by the way." He says, the last part having a defensive edge. "Could you inform, though, of why exactly they would've come out of hiding to speak with officials here?"

"I wanted to confirm on what will happen with me and Thoruk. One of us will have to stay he said. He also said that if any or both of us try to escape he will personally kill us with full force. Is he always so cheerful?"

As Mirecyla did this Cardiloc teleported behind her, and as she darted forward he himself charged forwards aiming to use his brute strength to tackle her to the ground, slamming into her at full speed.

"Yup, don't worry about him. Unless you actually do betray him. Then he will. He has a nasty habit of being vengeful." Dina said. "Now where to?"

18199471

"We sent a messenger and located them. They returned with diplomats. However, we had no one available when they did." Belzagar shrugged. "Unfortunately, this mess came about. Why is that elf so adamant on slaying them?" He asked the two Karoltai with genuine curiosity.

-----------------------

"Da-Dad!" He heard Gully's voice pipe up. His blurred vision decreased as he neared the prison cell and saw the two boys yelling for their father from behind the bars. "Dad, I told him you'd come! Didn't I?! Didn't I?!" He exclaimed with excitement. Bolham nodded furiously, "Dad, they took us in the night! Where are we?! Why-" A flood of questions hit Daugo almost as hard as the alcohol had.

13527980

-------------------

The guard stood up and pulled out his sword, aiming it at her then at the approaching man.

"I'm someone from the outside that they dragged in. They're going to kill me and my friends. Please help us-" Evenis said to Tamara as the man took steps away from him and towards her.

"Stay back! Both of you! Devils!" Harris hissed and swung the sword at Tamara when he came close enough to her.

Endo gulped. He heard Mirecy's orders but the Slayer was heading straight for Even. What would he do? Finish the job? Before Endo could find out, the elf walked past him. He swung the shard at his back but a hand intercepted him and snapped his wrist backward.

"Aiaiaiaaaiiiiighghhhhhh!!!!!" He squealed in pain as his right wrist was twisted beyond repair and crumpled to the ground clutching it whilst the Slayer continued his slow, easy walk in the direction of the Serpent Shifter.

Mirecyla swiped at empty air and felt a heavy force come down on her rear. Cardiloc managed to grab ahold of her, however, in doing so one of her thorn-like spikes penetrated his shoulder and upper chest cavity. He felt pain but knew the wound wasn't deep and now he had his foe on the floor. Yet he could feel her raw power and strength. It would soon eclipse his and the anger that sustained him was fading.
