VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Uh, we don't know any better than you do, Captain, but I guess I can try to elaborate on that. What we saw from the Screaming- real name being Tytus- is that his shrieks, when directed towards a mass, causes them to transform much like us in an instant. Though, unlike us it seems they have no real consciousness in these forms, being like feral animals. It seemed that Tytus could actually control them through his screams, too, as he ordered them to attack our own- often with truly awful puns. I believe this is all the information we've got on this particular ability."

"Jjjust... I'm a bad persn and an even worsh father. M'kids're being 'eld 'ostage sommerwhere and I dunno where and 's just a shitshow all round, and m'kids are captive right now and I dunno where they even are..."

He walked up to Lasser as he was combing his beard. "Good day, mister Lasser. From the looks of it Iver might not be returning anytime soon. Though eventually he will. What does this whole affair mean for me and Thoruk? One of us has to stay no? Will we get to chose? Or is it up to you?"

"woah, woah, woah, tulka's san chill. I'm all for rescuing Dimitri from manwe and shit but you are just gonna get us both smashing into the bloody floor while your nut job uncle is talking crazy again" iver said calmly, controlling his anger.

When time slowed down, Cardiloc ran up to the outside of Glorfindels cell and attempted to teleport in behind the guards. His control on time still strong as he did this.

Tamara would slowly sneak towards the noise she thought she heard. In the shadows, as she allways does. Was this just her imagination or did she realy hear someone?

Telimekhtar swung the chair around and smashed it into the ground. Iver was paralyzed from the brute force used. His spine cracked and the worst pain he'd felt since being on the island ran through him. Slowly the string connecting him to the chair slithered over his broken body and began pulling him in the directions of the animalistic grunts that originated from the Son of Tulkas.

"Depends on you lads. But one of you is staying. It's for our security. I'm sure you understand. And Iver was meant to be the one to stay but he decided to run in the night so if you want to blame anyone, then blame him." Lasser said to Arandil.

"What would you give to see your children?" Nuri asked Daugo as she absent-mindedly stared into the sky.

"We too had our own taste of that," Belzagar stated nonchalantly, "Tell me. How come we are only coming by this information now?"

Mirecyla's spike did little to cut through the steel. Ahead of her, the Dunlending vanished from his cell.

Cardiloc appeared in the cell that they had dragged Glorfindel into. He found himself in the right corner just as the guards raised their blades to cut down the elf who was curled into a ball in the left corner. Cardiloc had never seen Glorfindel in such a state. He was completely devoid of emotions, just laying there as if complacent with death. He was awake, or so it seemed but his eyes did not even register the Dunlending's presence.

"GUYS!!" Harris screamed.

The guards had paused and turned to see what was happening. Cardiloc saw it too. Everything seemed to be speeding up for some reason. Perhaps he was still woozy or maybe teleporting and maintaining a slow speed was too much for him.

In the cell opposing Glorfindel, the Serpent Shifter stepped through a hole in the bars that sizzled with a blue mucus-like liquid. He coughed and turned to see Mirecyla's cell.

"Hey, there kiddo. Cavalry's here. Ready to bust this joint?"

His mouth opened to reveal that blue liquid amassing in volume and he aimed it directly at Mirecyla's cell door.

This...was bad. Very bad.

---------------

Down to the left, Tamara heard a voice shout again. This couldn't be her imagination. There had to be someone else down here. And maybe they would know the way out.

13615485

"Keep your mess contained contained, I'll get support from the Citadel." He instructed the guards with a grumble, before shoving past them towards Glorfindel, he then attempted to grab ahold of the elf and tried to teleport to the citadel..

As Cardiloc touched Glorfindel, a sharp spark ran through the Dunlending and his body began to seize.

---

"Let me die," A hazy voice plead.

"Not yet. You are needed to combat a greater threat. Your story does not end here, Glorfindel."

"Please...there's nothing left for me but pain. To cause pain. That's all I ever do. To take from others..."

"You must continue. If you ever wish for peace. If you die here, you shall forever regret it, Glorfindel. And you shall be tortured in Valinor. I cannot protect you in my halls. Heed what I said before, now stand. Fight."

The elf's voice quivered slightly, "Please...Namo."

"You will have peace in the end. Fight, Glorfindel. Fight. Fight."

---

Cardiloc was repelled from whatever he had just seen. His head ached and he was still in the cell. Behind him the guards freaked out at his sight and pointed their weapons at him, unsure of what to do. Harris was still screaming and Glorfindel's cell was locked, the keys left in the cell door. Why was he unable to teleport?

Sigh.

Glorfindel slowly stood up, his face still a mask of expressionless apathy.

Mirecyla would furiously cut with the spike, rapidly thinking cut, cut, cut, cut, cut motherfucker, cut cut. But saw little damage being done. Shit balls of fire this was bad seeing boots approach her cel she prepared to lunge out with her spike was saw Evenis instead. Smiling she'd back up and toss the spike near Endo "Evenis I don't say this much, but I fucking love you guys. Let's get the hell out of here."

Evenis unloaded his spittle onto Mirecyla's cell door and it began to melt in front of her. Endo grabbed the spike and stood up. "Huh? We're leaving? Took you long enough, you slow bastards!" He laughed at the sight of their long-time friend and practically family member.

Even began summoning more of his acidic spit and turned to the jailer, his mouth opening in a similar fashion to that of a snake.

Harris saw this and bolted, running and screaming like a mad man down the tunnels.

15756962

Iver tried to scream in pain, but the hit left him breathless so he was just getting dragged behind another psychopath from the family of the immortals.

"What the..." Cardiloc looked on at Glorfindel in shock, what was wrong with the elf, then he stood. Card hesitantly stood back a little. He looked back at the Guards. "What the fuck are you doing just standing there you brainless morons, get the cell open so I can stop those motherfuckers." He then looked back at Glorfindel and spoke. "Glorfindel?"

Mirecyla panicked for a moment, her joy at being released momentarily gone as Harris started running away "We can't let him escape, he'll get more guards and I'm saving my stuff for a big attack." She'd tell Even, although attempting to hook Harris with the fear enough to cause him to fall. After that she'd stop.

The ropes coiled Iver tightly to the back of Telimekhtar who pranced around the room battling the ropes and attempting to rip through them whilst the Trickster gave cooking advice to a magical floating thingy-ma-bob.

"See, you're gonna wanna flatten the spices out over it and give your meat a good ol' rub. Yeah, that's it," He said marinating a chicken with the spatula, "Hehe, yea boi."

14628767

"I heard he caught an elk or something. I assume he must be searching for you." Lasser said. "Oh and if you both run or try to make a run for it, I will personally kill you. And you have no idea what else I can do to you. So, be mindful not to betray my trust, mate."

18199471

------------

One of the guards stuck his hand through the cell and began to fiddle with the keys. The door slid open and the second man gripped his blade but looked back at the elf and grunted. "I didn't sign up for this shit."

Harris continued to run and scream until he tripped. It seemed he was out of Mirecyla's range but now he began to crawl like your typical victim in any horror scenario instead of getting back up and sprinting the fuck out of there.

"I'll finish him. You take care of them," Evenis said and went after the fallen jailer.

Mirecyla saw the two guards who had mocked and insulted her standing in Glorfindel's cell. Behind them were the Dunlending and Slayer.

"Yes." The elf answered wearily.

12700073 15756962

Mirecyla would smile and step out of the hole in the door saying "I've been waiting for a long time to do this, ever sense that elf whore behind you kidnapped me and Endo. Channeling my magic is all I've been doing, now, I wish you luck in the wars to come." Mirecyla would say, raising her arms and screaming as she plowed her magic at the cell, aiming at all four of them while allowing Endo to also leave the cell.

“I saw,” he said, nodding grimly. “There could be many reasons why this just came about. One could be that, as I can tell from experience and memories, abilities can be discovered, whether always there and now coming to the surface, flourishing; or that they've just developed. That is probably the strongest reason, that the Screaming has only now found out it could do this.”

“Another explanation… well, another explanation could be that the shifter has always known about this, and has only chosen to use it now. Though it sounds incredibly irrational, it has some chance of being true. As Sigeric and I can attest, Tytus seems to be one of the most humane of the proto-shifters, in harsh contrast to his recent actions. Out of the two we tried to negotiate with, he was willing to stand down and have no more bloodshed, which would have prevented quite a bit if it weren't for our ‘reinforcements’ appearing then."

Cardiloc was struck by a wave of energy that he had never experienced so heavily. It was fear. Absolute fear.

His body was fail and his mind warped into nightmares. He saw his greatest fears come to life around him. The crocolions, Dimitri's warhammer, the Destroyer Giant, Ha'zi's death replayed in his mind and he glimpsed the bastard-son who murdered his best friend and mentor. Beren.

Mirecyla watched as the two men collapsed before her. One of them whimpering whilst the other went into shock and began pissing himself. The Dunlending too met a similar fate. The only one standing was her immortal nemesis.

The Slayer.

"So, they can be negotiated with?" Belzagar posed the question.

16315828

Mirecyla grunted in acknowledgement "I see you still don't feel shit. No heart like me eh? That's fine. I have other friends." Mirecyla would say, going to try and for Glorfindel make him see what everyone should fear. The Valar, an illusion of him being teleported into a realm of nothingness save for the voices of his gods. Is what she tried to channel
