VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

This ranger just didn't learn, did he? Sigeric thought to himself. Mateus's maneuver was clever, but ultimately useless. It was impossible to act in one way while having one's mind fully focused on another. Your innermost thoughts would always betray your plan. Sigeric moved his leg as if to to dodge the nonexistent cut at that region, attempting to lure Mateus into a false sense that his plan was working. Then, he would move his body at the last moment to avoid the real cut, which was aimed at his back. Sigeric would then duck underneath the swing that was aimed at his head, turning and quickly closing the distance to Mateus. He would deliver a hard kick to the belligerent ranger's groin, and then grab the outstretched end of the spear, pulling it to unbalance Mateus, then sweeping his leg out from under him to make him fall to the ground. "I gave you more than enough chances to avoid this." Sigeric said, his left eye beginning to twitch with annoyance. He began to focus his power, readying a mental assault that would cause the ranger to need therapy for years. Out of the corner of his eye, Sigeric noticed Daugo, and heard his plea for them to calm down. Sigeric ceased his mental attack before it began. He was already in quite a bit of potential trouble with the Gondorians. He needed to find a way to avoid escalating this further. He turned to Daugo. "I would like nothing better than to have a calm discussion, but such a thing is rather difficult when this honorable gentleman keeps attempting to stab me in the back." he glanced at Mateus, then looked back at Daugo. "Do continue."

Iver starred with shock and horror at the body pile that looked like something a bunch of really nasty orcs would do. "Sh-shiva?" He thought to himself "did, did you do that?" He asked her in his mind. As he slowly stood up.

"You know, I hoped that you came here to apologise, I really did. I hoped that you will plead for forgiveness and Manwe will accept it. I hoped that you would return to me, the real you and not that shell of a being that you became. I hoped that we could be together again." She said and turned towards him.
"But it seems that you don't want such thing. Why are you here?" She asked him.

"Lass we have to go. I have to go. I am a mortal and nowhere near as resistant to pain and suffering as you and the rest are."

"May we take a few, um, samples." The Chieftan asked.

----------------------

"Arandil, wait. You've no need to wor-"

A roar interrupted her words and Arandil heard a storming cry pierce the air. What was happening outside? Were they killing each other?

"I can protect you," Dina grabbed Arandil by the shoulders.

-----------------------

No reply greeted Iver. He heard the sounds of running footsteps through space and time as he zipped back up and noticed Telimekhtar ripping through eternal guards, yet, more flooded into the chamber in an unending stream of silver.

----------------------

"As I said. To finish it all. I just want us to be a family again," She heard the Trickster's voice. That voice. It brought unspeakable words to her tongue. She hated that voice. That wretched putrid voice.

"So that you never have to cry again, Vana." He repeated.

-------------------

Upon closer inspection, Radmir realized it was a crystal block. And it contained...a female's body.

Sigeric's ploy worked so successfully it was scary. Daugo watched the ranger, Mateus, be countered in every which way and tossed down on his ass. Galador could only wonder what just occurred.

ZING.

Shin's sword hit the wall and bounced off just beneath the Armoured's legs. He pulled himself up and hooked a leg over the wall just as Shin reached the dead-end.

--------------------

"Understandable. But, Ha'zi. Those memories. I don't know what to make of them. So, do tell, what's the plan. Because as far as I can see, we cause all of this," He pointed at the mess.

"oh fuck" Iver said and shouted towards Tali, "how did orome wanted us to contact him once we needed evacuation" he shouted, still a bit dizzy and confused.
[rule]
She needed to keep the show going.
"Orome, darling, did you really came here to reunite with me? All you have to do is talk with Manwe, he is merciful and will forgive you. I'm sure of it" she said and took a step closer to him as she ordered the plants behind orome to grow closer to him.
[rule]
"Ehhhh, guys, don't you think that she might be running out of air in there?" He asked a little confused about the way this little girl got into the crystal.

"Aye, do as you need" Thoruk would say, waiting for them to take a bit of his blood or whatever they needed. Since he had already transformed he wouldn't need to try and stop himself that hard anyway.

Daugo took a deep breath, somewhat apprehensive about Sigeric. "This is stupid. Why you two are fighting at all eludes me, and, in any case, it seems futile to me for any single Gondorian to attempt going against a Karoltai. Let us all talk this through dispassionately. Sigeric, why is this man attacking you?"

Ha'zi had a fit of delirious laughter. "Plan? Oh Keldar, you're barking up the wrong tree. I have no fucking idea what I'm doing! Every single day of the past months I've been waiting for word from Mandos, the Trickster, even... well, anybody! Yet, there's nothing. Null. Only some words from Glorfindel that mean squat."

"I'm just a useless pawn, only being of importance when put in this or that direction. Now, I'm not even being guided to any overarching goal whatsoever. Just "Don't let the world end" and "Make sure Morgoth, the Dark Lord that wants everyone dead, is kept alive," as if that's explanatory enough. I've got nothing, Keldar. And as for us being the cause... Heh, can't imagine how that'd possibly happen, since the only thing I'm doing is shit."

"We'd like something aside from just blood," The Chieftan whispered to Thoruk. "For scientific purposes, of course."

The rain slowly ceased.

---------------------

In response to Iver's shout, scores of eternal guard turned their heads in slow-motion towards the Dalishman. Telimekhtar was too busy and Dimitri was missing.

------------------

"I came here to discover the truth. To end it," He repeated that sentence in monotone. The Trickster did not move. It appeared he did not sense her deception. The flowers grew out and rose behind him.

"So that you never have to cry again, Vana."

------------------

Keratos turned at that remark and saw Radmir. At that point, the ranger noticed the little girl hiding behind Keratos' leg. Who was that?

---------------

"Maybe that's the point," Keldar mused, "Maybe that's exactly what we have to do. We have to stop allowing them to define our fate. Our fate is ours and ours alone. Those memories they contain the truth. What did you see, Ha'zi? What was the key?"

Cardiloc followed after him, but not before looking at the body one last time, he’d have to remove it in the future. But not now, he had dirtied his hands far too much. He left the rangers mutilated corpse shrouded in darkness as he left the room; poor bastard.

Shin hissed, "Damn!" He retrieved the blade, then scampered up the barrier after the fleeing shifter.
[rule]
"'The key'? Heck, you sound like the Trickster..." Ha'zi murmured. "For what I saw... a whole lot. Dragons, beasts, screams."

"But, most clearly, I saw some dying woman with envy-green eyes. She was melodramaticly whispering that I needed to find someone named 'Aranel,' that this... person... was greatly important. Oddly enough, I felt like I had some connection to her... And she told me to find her younger self. So... yeah. More breaking of the timeline, it seems."

Iver turned towards the body of dead guards and looked at it, looking for a spear small enough that he could use. If he would find one and even if not he would climb on the top of the pile and shout "AYE YA CUNTS, I CAME HERE TO RESCUE DIMITRI AND KILL SOME MAIAR, AND IM ALL OUT OF MAIAR TO KILL", ready himself for the upcoming attack, hoping that he will attract enough guards to allow tali and dim to recover.
[rule]
"What is the truth that you are looking for?" She asked with a smile and took another step closer to him, the flowers and vines growing up behind him.
[rule]
"What's up with all of those little girls showing up" radmir asked himself before asking Keratos, "Aye, Keratos, who is that?"

The Chieftan leaned in and whispered the answer to Thoruk.

They wanted a sample of a liquid. And it wasn't blood. His cheeks flared redder than when he had met Yellena.

---------------------

"Their dueling for the leadership," Dina explained. "We're safe. It's far from here and this happened before. Don't worry about it, Arandil. In fact...we should watch. It's better you learn our customs from experience." She took his hand in her palms.

---------------------

A sizeable portion of guards rushed towards Iver. The Dalishman could not locate anything to use, considering all the weapons were embedded in the bodies and most of them were too heavy or too long to dislodge. This was bad...

-------------------

"What's the truth..." The Trickster asked himself. Her vines were ready. He was unaware. "The truth..."

-------------------

Cardiloc found the latrines and served himself a nice bath after undressing. It was the longest, steamiest bath he had ever taken in his life and he enjoyed every moment of it. Once he was done and sought to throw on his clothes, Cardiloc noticed something. Something that sent a chilling sense of dread down his spine.

The Silmaril was missing.

---------------------

"Uhm, that's the fear-girl." Keratos answered, inclining his head towards the crystal containing the feminine figure. Tamara realized she had been spotted by the other ranger.

Shin failed to climb the wall the first time. He jumped again and caught a purchase on one of the marble slabs.

---------------------

"Younger self?" Keratos raised an eyebrow. "Perhaps she was being metaphorical. Or deranged? You said she was dying, right?"

16315828 14628767 13615485 18199471 12700073

"These folk are mad" the gondorian thought to himself.
"Will we be watching from a distance which will ensure we won't get crushed?"

"No clue, but it sure sounded like she was at the end of her life. Closing eyes, weak voice, dragged out speech, etc."
[rule]
"Finally." With another grunt, the ranger attempted to at long last scale the wall completely.

Iver would grab his maia blade and try to cut an arm out of the pile. He would try and cut it at the elbow and at the wrist, leaving a chunk of meat that would look like a bat and was half a meter tall. Using both of his hands he would tempt to carry that new weapon, using it to try and club the maiar who would try to climb the pile of dead bodies to reach him.
[rule]
"Well, the truth is..." Vana said as he ordered her vines to strike the trickster, they would wrap around him, growing thorns that would stick into his flesh, slowly turning him into a blooming spiky cocoon.
"The truth was lying in front of your face, but you decided to ignore it. Morgoth was corrupted, and you were wrong when you decided to join him. When you plotted your little plot with Mandos and Irmo to release Morgoth you knew it was treason, but decided to ignore it.

You wanted to kill my brother and Irmo followed you. He died because of your foolish wish to overthrow Manwe’s regime of justice that you couldn’t accept. You took away my husband, corrupted my daughter in order to release Morgoth into the world, instead of admitting your mistake. Instead of accepting your punishment you escaped to the land of the mortals and tortured them for eons, only staying alive because Manwe is so merciful. Even though you betrayed us, he spared your life for eons due to the love that he had for his brother, a brother that was gone. You took away my husband and caused the death of our daughter, Irmo and Tulkas.

You allowed Morgoth to be released, but you still live in your foolish fantasy that you are somehow Orome, a hero who fights for justice, for the truth" She would say and point Her valar blade at him.
“Well the truth is, you will never be half the Valar Orome was. You will never be the father of our dead daughter or our brother. You never were and never will be my husband. You are just a sad sack of flesh that took my husband’s form and did nothing but bring death and agony to this world.”

She would say and pause, taking down her Valar blade. “Manwe spared you for eons, but I am not as merciful as he is and I shall finally have my justice” She would say and touch his throat with the tip of her blade. “Any last words?” She would ask, wishing to hear him beg for his life.

[rule]
"How did she escape the prison?" Radmir would ask and then realize that he didn't answer question, maybe he looked at the crystal while asking. "And who is that little girl, between yar legs?" He would attempt and get an answer again. "You know, we probably shouldn't have civilians close to those wankers" He would add.

Thoruk would clear his throat from that unexpected question. "Well, if that will help ya" he'd say, "I'll see what I can do." he'd say, walking off to somewhere where he could do, things, before returning to the chieftain with it in a little glas or whatever he could find.
