VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

The Chieftan took the glass with a precarious hand, sniffed the contents, shriveled his beard in disgust and nodded to Thoruk. "Everything you need shall be prepared. I'll speak with the King, Chosen Warrior." The engineer bowed slightly and walked off with the vial leaving Thoruk surrounded by the dwarves who looked at him as if he were some sort of god.

----------------------

"Of course," Dina shook her head, "We're not barbarians." She led him towards the door and if he did not protest, outside of the cabin. Arandil heard an unusual sound in the distance, a swelling of wind as if a gale were picking up before a storm.

---------------------

Iver failed in 'cutting' off bodily parts as their armor was too thick to pierce with his maiar blade and whatever little he could do was not enough to severe tendon. He was running out of time and the suckers were beginning to climb the hill of bodies.

------------------

"I'm disappointed." The Trickster smiled sadly.

----------------

"Uh," Keratos glanced at Radmir hesitantly, "She was found with them. I believe she was separated from her mother. I promised the little lady that I'd return her-"

"Found with them?" Tamara heard the scary man ask. He was looking at her, his eyes a shade of orange. There was something wrong with them. Orange? No. No. They were dark brown.

"Actually, I believe she was riding atop the giant, sir." Kurio stated matter-of-factly. "I noticed her on its back alongside two men. One is...well there," He pointed at Furdin who carried the corpse of the Serpent, "And the other...is missing. Huh."

"And who killed the Serpent Shifter?" The General asked.

Meanwhile, Evenis' murderer scaled the wall in his attempt to hunt down Berethor. As he did so, he saw a garden ahead of him. Muddy tracks leading through it indicated the suspect had fled into the house.

---------------

"Either way, she may have been lying...but more probably she was telling us the truth. Why else would you glimpse such memories unless they were important, no? So we must locate this Eranil figure who's presumably an old green-eyed hag? What else did you see? Ha'zi, remember. Everything is important." Keldar said.

"Ehm.." He said rather stressfully.
"Can you inform me each time something happens? I am not use to these sort of affairs."
At that moment Arandil knew he lost his words completely. He was chatting gibberish in hopes that he will remain calm.

"Thank ya" he'd mumble to the chieftain as he marched off, but mostly to himself at this point. He'd turn around looking at the dwarves. "Ya don't have a little mug full of bear standing 'round, have ya lads?" he'd ask them, a bit thirsty after his little show. "Besides that, someone of ya lad's good with the axe? I could need some accuracy training, haven't thrown some in quite some time, aye" he'd say, grabbing his beard with one hand.

--------------

Tamara would glance at the scary man's eyes for a bit. Brown- almost orange to say so, it looked weird but in the same place she hadn't seen orangeish-looking eyes before, so it was somewhat stunning. After all she'd still stay behind Keratos' legs and nod slightly as she heard him mention her name. She wasn't all to happy about this whole situation. At this moment she could sit in a corner, enjoying a meal. But no, instead she had to look what these prisoners were up to. "Dumb idea" she'd think, slowly feeling herself getting hungry again as she remembered that delicious chicken she had earlier that day.

"Mhm," Dina pulled Arandil out of the house and through the mostly empty streets. He saw a few people but the numbers had drastically reduced. It became apparent why when he reached the clearing at the east of the village. Gathered there was nearly everyone in the village, a solid fifty or so people watching in an almost normalized view of the scene that unfolded before his eyes.

Far in the distance, he saw two giants locked in combat. One fearsome, taller than all those he had encountered so far save the Leviathan; and the other a smaller yet more agile giant. He recognized its body shape to be distinctly feminine with breasts and long hair whilst its opponent was hairier and had a drooping, oversized mouth.

--------------

The dwarves brought him a mug of ale along with bread whilst four dwarves set up a log and handed Thoruk a short-axe as well as a throwing-axe to use the log as practice.

-------------------

Tamara's stomach growled in protest.

Belzagar turned to her and a dark smile crept across his face. "Hello little one," It seemed to deepen. Suddenly, his brown eyes flickered and she stared into fiery orbs, gleaming as bright as the sun. "It appears you're lost?" The General leaned in and her eyes deceived her once again. Gone was the bodily shape of the Gondorian and in its place was that of a terrible devil. A shadow that towered over her with flaming eyes. Body wreathed of stone and iron as black as coal. "My my, what a poor unfortunate soul." Its devilish mouth unfurled poisonous words that stung her to her very core.

“Shit.” Card swore, what had happened to the damn gem, it had stayed on his person for months from Bree to Mordor. But it had left him at Ithilien, the thing had a mind of its own. He double checked that the Silmaril was indeed missing and not in the room.

"Thank ya" he'd gladefully say, eating the bread and sipping down the bear in one go. "Someone want to throws aswell?" he'd ask them, offering them a axe before aiming at the log himself with the other axe in hand. "Let's see if I got rusty."

--------------
Tamara felt in danger as he started talking, starring at her with his develish-looking eyes. She felt a cold shower going down across her back and her stomach feeling numb instead of grumbling around. She wasn't realy hungry anymore but she felt danger and backed off a few steps from the man.

"well shit" Iver said as he tossed the small chunk of flesh and steel that he did manage to cut at one of guards.
It seems like he only one thing to do....

Iver did nothing, he sat down on the middle of the pile and waited for the guards to get to him.

[rule]
Vana was disappointed, she expected him to beg for his life, but revenge couldn't wait. She would behead the trickster.
[rule]
Well, staying near those freaks didn't seem like such a good idea, radmir had to find a way to leave the site before more shit would happen. "Sir, would you want me to help the girl find her mother?" He would ask.

"Could you tell me lass who is fighting who? I am clueless right now, can't blame me though.""Could you tell me lass who is fighting who? I am clueless right now, can't blame me though."

"Uh, Aranel is who we have to find. And no, not an old hag- remember, she said for me to find her younger self. So, that'll be interesting. Otherwise, the lady gave a series of vital information. That our subject has some key. That she and I are the only two that can prevent the End Times. Oh, and that we need to meet to activate this key, or else our world gets fucked."
[rule]
"Oh great, now he's getting involved with the civilians. Damn it..." Shin swore, then followed the dirty tracks into the abode.

An older dwarf took the axe and set up his aim along Thoruk, waiting for the Ironbeard to let loose.

-------------

"That's Miriel," Dina pointed out the female one, "She is the Savage Giant." Then turning her finger in the direction of the larger one, "And that's,"

The air around them made a popping noise as the Savage charged.

"Tytus," Arandil did not hear what followed.

A horrifying scream, one that could only be yielded from the depths of Angband itself was unleashed by the larger giant. It's mouth radiating waves of wind that ripped the very soil off the earth in plasters of debris and sent them hurtling towards the Savage Giant.

Miriel crashed through them her body cut apart, one hand hanging by loose skin before flying free in the wild gales. She did not halt her assault. She kept moving forward through the torrent as her skin peeled off with each resounding wave of air that hit her. To Arandil it was as if she were being flayed alive.

------------

The Eternal Guard surrounded Iver and with a raised sword one brought it down, aiming for Iver's legs.

----------

The dagger sliced through flesh and the Trickster's head toppled off in a clean slice. It landed on the floor beside Vana's left sandal. His ugly smile had disappeared and all that was left was blood.

---------

Cardiloc found no sign of the silmaril after turning the room inside out. It wasn't there. Where had he lost it? How had he lost it? Why was he such a fool...the one thing Ha'zi entrusted to him...his single most important goal...their one key to defeating their enemy and saving Arda...and he had lost it.

---------

"Sur-" Keratos was cut off.

"Sargeant," Belzagar ordered him, "You and this ranger, bind her hands and feet. She was traveling with the prisoners and therefore must be an accomplice. Anything she tells you is likely a lie. I want her brought to the Citadel now." He commanded Radmir and Keratos.

Yet...as the General said this, Tamara heard and saw something entirely different. "You are special. You will be useful to me, Tamara." The demon spoke to her. Yet the men did not seem to hear this or see it. Was she the only one that saw this devil?

The crystal shard was being dragged off by the rangers and citadel guard using a combination of pulleys and horses to haul it up to the next level.

"Guardian," Kurio called to Sigeric. "What happened during combat?" The older man watched carefully as the Dalishman brought down Mateus.

Meanwhile, Shin entered the home and found the tracks led to an opened front door. No one appeared to be inside and the assailant had fled yet again. The tracks led out onto a small road and up towards the fourth level...he was going deeper into the city?

-------

"A key? Activate it? What do you have in mind?" Keldar asked.

16315828 14628767 13615485 18199471 12700073

Iver just sat there, staring at the guard as he raised his sword and then brought it down on his legs. And so, as the sword pierced his skin, Iver transformed.
[rule]
Vana stared at the head with a combination of disgust and satisfaction. "This might not bring my daughter back, but at least you wont cause any more shenanigans" She would say and kick the head away, ordering the vines to take his headless corpse and drop it on the floor where she wouldn't see it.
[rule]
Oh no, she is one of those giant freaks, maybe he can scare her to not resist arrest. "You there!" He would shout and point at her. "Stop right there criminal scum, do not resist arrest!" He would add and start closing on her slowly.

"Why don't they duel in a more remote area? Far from any wildlife and this village. Perhaps the Brownlads could suffice for the next contest of madness you lot might have in the future." He said with a chuckle as he looked at the two giants battling it out.

He was trying to hide the fear and trauma inside of him. He was on the verge of breaking down after he truly remembered the events in the valley.

Thoruk would let lose, trying to prove himself that he still had the aim and strength, worthy of an Ironbeard.

--------------

Tamara would back off further, turning around. "Get away from me" she'd say in a tone, combined of anger and fear. She would look at Keratos with a slight look of hope in her eyes, extinguished by the sight of this.. demon of some sorts and his company. She would ready up to run for her life. If necessary take the shortcuts she had found over years. They basically would've no chance to catch her if she could get out of their range. It was her home ground, it was her 'battle', of sorts, to lose. "I won't go to prison, I had nothing to do with them." she'd shout in anger. If they would come one step closer she'd run for her life, trying to find protection in a crowded area or flee into the nearest sewer-entrance.

Oh shit, Radmir knew that if he will lose her he is going to clean the toilets of every barracks in every outpost east of dol amroth for the next 5 years. So, with a shout of "I'll get her" Radmir started running after her, slowly gaining speed.

It should have been a good plan. It was not.

Before he knew what was happening, Mateus was on the ground, clutching his nether regions tenderly. A dull, throbbing pain spread from there up to his lower back, and he lay postrated for a few seconds. This short respite was enough to clear his mind, however, and he realized the trouble he had potentially landed himself in. Even though he still was wary of the Karoltai, he knew he had to find some hard evidence before anything could be done about it.

Gasping, he crawled into a sitting position, and looked up towards the Dalishman, ignoring Daugo and his question. Scowling slightly, he said "I-I'm sorry, sir. I... I know not what came over me. Some foul art was clouding m' senses."

Sigeric answered Daugo's question. "This man attempted to arrest me, despite not having the reason nor the authority to do so. I gave him my weapon to calm him down, but then he chose to attack me anyways." He turned to Kurio, and all of the other rangers that were watching. "You were all frozen in fear by the power of the Executioner Giant. That is one of its abilities. I managed to resist the effect, and attempted to snap you out of it as well. The Executioner's psychological damage may have caused my orders to become confused within your minds. That is all that I know." Sigeric lied. He looked down at Mateus. "It was likely a side effect of the Executioner's fear manipulation from earlier. All is forgiven." He reached out a hand to help Mateus from the ground, still ready to react if the ranger attempted anything else. "Now, what is the status of the Serpent?" He asked no one in particular. Sigeric looked toward General Belgazar, to assess the situation.

Daugo's brow furrowed a little, but he said nothing. Sigeric's explanation made sense, though his body language was not absolutely convincing. Mateus, on the other hand, listened to the bullshit and nodded, accepting the Dalishman's help up.
"We shall still need a full explanation of what happened when we write the report, sir," he said. "I believe the Serpent was successfully... neutralized," he added.

Sigeric would probably sense Daugo"s skepticism and Mateus' suppressed hostility.

Thoruk's axe went over the log, missing its target. The other dwarf hit the log directly. The dwarves chuckled.

------------

"Brownlands? This is far enough. And anyways we don't want to draw the attention of the horsemen, I think. They killed Ulan and Dako. They died because of him," She pointed at the Screaming Giant, "Tytus wanted to come here because he listened to that idiot friend of yours. The one who was naked all the time in the shadowland. Llay died because of him too. She froze in the cold through the night." Dina sighed.

In the distance, Arandil saw the Savage close the gap yet its skin was shredding to the point where the bone was exposed. It was ugly.

"Tytus has always led us. Always by his example. He went to retrieve Mirecy and Endo from those savages, those Gondorian scum. They took them. The Slayer and his men. Who knows...Mirecy and Endo could be dead now. And so could Even...I heard that he did not return. All because of Tytus. Why couldn't it have been Miriel who went? She can fight."

At that cue, the Savage Giant launched itself through the massing soundwaves and flung its last functioning arm at the Screamer's mouth with a feral screech.

In a turn of events, the Screaming Giant caught her arm and snapped it like a twig with both its hands. The Savage broke off and swung a kick at its head, her foot materializing into a strange crystalline blue. The Screamer's head pulled back and as the kick went wild, it reached out and grabbed ahold of the Savage's leg and yelled directly at it.

"YOU CAN STILL SURRENDER!!!!"

The leg cracked and the Savage fell before the Screamer's feet.

Arandil heard a yell from the crowd. Berethor took a step forward. "That's cheating! He's influencing her!" He had a knife in hand and it appeared as if he were about to use it to slit his hand.

Suddenly, Equas ran up and snatched it away from him. "No. Let 'em fight it out. No gettin' involved, Ber!"

Far, far in the distance, Arandil heard terrible cries. The Screamer had ripped off the remainder of the Savage's leg. It was crawling away, a torso with a single left leg that dragged behind it. He could almost imagine the whimpers it was making.

"I AM YOUR CHIEFTAN! HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT, MIRIEL?! YOU CHOSE THIS FATE."

He picked her struggling torso up by the head, holding it between his palms. And with a howl of the wind, the air around it was sucked into the Screamer's mouth and deep down into his throat. Then...then it unleashed it point blank into the Savage's face.

After a minute of senseless shouting, Tytus dropped the headless torso with a plop.

"No..." Arandil heard Dina moan. There were unpleasant grunts from the crowd and Berethor along with Raddis were visibly pissed. "Arandil, this means, this means you have to leave." Dina looked to her feet. "Tytus doesn't want you here."

----------------

WHOOOSH.

The eternal guards atop the pile of bodies were flung in every direction as a coal coloured bat the size of a carriage appeared out of an explosion of energy.

---------------

Clap. Clap. Clap.

"I'm disappointed. Disappointed and proud." Vana heard the Trickster's voice. The body being dragged away by her vines vanished into black smoke as a figure materialized ahead of her. "While you were wasting your time taunting me, I found all the answers I needed. Eru isn't dead. Manwe is a dickwad. You've been manipulated to the point where calling you delusional would be a compliment. And Varda can suck on deez nuts." The Trickster laughed. "No offence, of course. Don't worry, my darling. One day, you'll realize the truth. But it is not this day! This day we-"

Whoosh. Thud.

Someone had entered the chamber. No. Not someone. Him. Her Lord. He had come for her while she distracted the fiend.

"It has been sometime. Hasn't it?" Vana could see the smile vanish from the Trickster's face and his lips began to quiver. Not so haughty now?

"M-Man-way."

"Wretched filth." The Lord of Aman, King of the Valar, Almighty, Most Powerful, Merciful, you name it, Eru Illuvatar's chosen one, Manwe-fucking-Sulimo spoke. The room shook with each syllable he uttered. "Your reckoning is near. Bow before Illuvatar."

--------------

A hand grabbed Radmir and he was pulled back by Keratos' massive paw. "No." He looked at Tamara. She was a scared, frightened animal that had been backed up into a corner. Chaining her would do no good. He tried to smile through his visor, bent down to her height and took a knee before her.

"I'm sorry, Little Lady. But I'm going to have to ask that you come with me. We can find your mother some other time. I know it's very scary. But I need you to trust me. I won't hurt you. I won't let anyone hurt you." He glanced at Radmir then his head returned to face her. "We'll just take a short trip to the top of Minas Tirith. You'll get to see a lot of fancy schmancy things. Gardens. Lords and ladies. You'll see the Pellenor from the highest peak and even get a glimpse of the White Tree. All you have to do is take my hand." He offered it once again to her.

Tamara was being watched by many others. The Rangers. The guards. Even the General, who had returned to looking like an ordinary man. Her heart rate was still high but began to settle.

"Shin and Mateus gutted the Serpent." Kurio said matter-of-factly. "I believe they require punishment." He said to the General.

Belzagar's eyes left the girl and turned to the rest of them. "I don't care what happened here now. All of you are to report to the Citadel. Karoltai and Squad Ten. You're coming with me." He turned to the citadel guards present. "See to it that a story is fabricated to fit the situation. Some rumbling from yesterday. Another creature sighting. Strange omens from the remains of the Dark Lord. A dragon. Whatever occupies peasant minds until this passes. Secure the area, destroy the evidence and locate the last prisoner. He is a young male, dark brown hair, willy and possess no apparent power. He is not a threat but nevertheless must be recaptured. Send for Captain Vardamir and Commander Ostopher." He took a breath.

"And on the note of the elf, kill him. At this point he is completely rogue and dangerous. I want search parties out in the city, in the townships, in Harlond, in Osgiliath, all across Anorien. Find that elf and bring me his head."

For a moment, they had all frozen.

"Go." Belzagar said and in clockwork the men took off.

With a release of air he turned to the Karoltai. "Where is the Warrior Giant?"

12519458 14628767 13615485 18199471 13527980

"Guess I've lost my aim." he'd say, shrugging off the shame, looking at the older dwarf. "A good throw lad. As it seems I need a bit more training." he'd say, throwing the axe over and over again over different distances and angles. he'd practice his aim till the chieftain would get back, allowing other dwarves to compete against him. Giving them the chance to beat the 'god' and letting them see that he's a normal dwarf like all of them are.

--------------

She'd slowly turn around "The tree?" she'd ask with a glimmer of happiness in her eyes. "B-but not with him" she'd say, pointing at the general, then looking at Keratos. "Please" she'd say quietly.

Iver didn't have time to waste, so towards Lil tali he leaped with haste. He would attempt to grab the little brat and get him on the back of giant bat. If any of the Maiar would try and stop him, Iver would use his frost breath to freeze them.
[rule]
Just as the smile disappeared from the face of the trickster, a smile appeared on the face of Vana as she kneeled  before Manwe. "What were you saying trickster?" She would ask with a green.
[rule]
Radmir was about to instinctively punch him in the face but managed to stop himself from doing so. If the little girl will come by herself, he won't eat shit.
Radmir watched the little girl respond with glee. And walked towards the general, whispering to him "if you want I'll keep an eye on her sir". Maybe he will be able to gain a favor out of babysitting.
