VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Thoruk would stand up, walk a few steps while looking onto the ground, then turning around and walking back. These things hit him like some midget's fist. Hurting at the start because of how unprepared it came, but something to laugh about after you think of it twice. "So... ya want to tell me the dwarves will get extinguished? Ya can make jokes, as worse as ya want, but I'll prevent that from happening, ya can bet ya head on it lady." he'd grumble, trying to overplay the fact that he was worried with a smirk, then walk a few steps again. "Ya 'younger' self? Last time I saw you- well her- whoever, I saw a girl, looking like that one, that attacked me, which was you, getting beaten up by another girl, back in that village. I have like no plan what she did to ya, think she was beaten up pretty hard tho, she could've killed ya. And- and besides that, the Trickster, some kind of Valar? You mean like Mahal? That's absolute orc-shit, why would he spare us back then when we were weak? He could've killed us, but now, we're stronger and trying to kill the evil one's. Is he not one of them?" Thoruk would ask, walking around again, grabbing his beard, trying to calm down a bit. "And why Ha'zi? He's the youngest of us all if I'm not mistaken, how should a little bugger like him save as,aye?" Thoruk would grumble, sitting down again. His head feeling like it would explode.

--------------

"It will die?" Tamara would ask looking at Keratos, then staring at the tree again. "But it stood for so long. It can't just die, they just need to take care of it, I'm sure it won't die if they do so!" she'd say in a self confident tone, stuck in her little fairy tail world, not thinking of the possibility that this tree might die like every man and every woman in this city.

Protos 0, Shin 2. "Excellent, he's out! Makes things a whole lot easier!" After clasping his hands together in glee, Shin would bend down and try to haul the shifter over his shoulders.

Dimitri just kept his eyes down and tried to figure out what in Tulkas' name that thing was. Was it some sort of huge dragon? Those hadn't been seen in those parts for years! If only he knew where 'those parts' were. He went through a list of dragons he had learnt about. Smaug was shot through the chest, so he's not it. Glaurung fell apart, he thought, so not him. So that left only one... Hoping the Trickster would know, Dimitri asked, "Was that Ancalagon?"

Iver flew higher and higher, trying to get away from that beast rather than following Orome's directions. As he did so, he realized that if Orome did listen to him earlier arandil or thoruk would be put in grave danger. Maybe Orome wasn't that much of a jerk. After all, he recognized this beast, and feared it.

Radmir was too busy being miserable that he did not notice that Tamara stayed behind, until now. "In this rate you are going to get yourself hanging" he mumbled to himself as he turned around and looked for the little girl. "She did talk about the tree a lot" he mumbled to himself as he spotted her near the tree with Keratos. He did not say a word as he tried to get to them and pretend that he did not just forget about his one job

"No." The Trickster responded dryly. "That beast is long gone from this world after Earandil slew it with Vingilote. In fact...I believe you'll have the honor of meeting him quite soon." The Trickster looked up into the skies.

"That was one of the Uvanimor, a beast created by Morgoth long ago when the world was devoid of light. A long-worm, one of the descendants of Scatha, a beast that roams the depths of the Arda and hordes a prize. It seems that Manwe used the beast rather than smite it as a guard dog for my brother, Aule." The Trickster explained and looked back upon the form of Mahal. He was still asleep.

"Hurry. We must awaken him. To the-" In a split-second, darkness fell upon them. The sunlight disappeared and they were flying through shadow. Then suddenly the light returned. The Trickster looked up at the glowing bright orb in the sky and a look of fear crossed his features.

Dimitri, Iver and even Telimekhtar, who awoke with the flash of light, heard a spine-tingling battle cry from above them. It was a voice they recognized.

"Wha-happened-is-that...?"

"Eonwe..." The Trickster pat the Flying Giant's back. "Iver fly as fast as you can! Go straight into the Sun! Hurry!! Please!"

-----------------------------------

"He has crossed over into the Orocarni and has freed Aule, the dissenter from his prison. They have taken to the skies as eagles report. There is also the long worm, Gultaur who is rampaging westward. Should we stop it or proceed with the hunt, Lady Vana?" One of her servants informed her as they overlooked Arda from the confines of the Towers of the Pelori.

-----------------------------------

Aranel sighed. "I knew you'd be like this."

She crossed her legs on the muddy soil. Recent rains had kept the area quite wet but she did not mind. "Thoruk, I don't care whether you believe me or not. I just need you to take me to Ha'zi. He's the only one who'll understand what needs to be done." There was clear urgency in her voice. "He may be young but he'll become more powerful than you can ever imagine. Believe it or not. Now take me to him." She demanded. "Please." She added with a courtesy.

------------------------------

Shin failed to raise the man but did manage to tear off more of his shoulder as he had foolishly forgotten to remove the shortsword which was still piercing Berethor's body.

"What's wrong with you?" The little girl asked him. It was less a question and more so a statement.

-------------------------------

"Who knows for certain?" Keratos shrugged. "All I know is one day we all will. That's a fact that all of us must come to understand and make peace with." He did not notice Radmir fooling around as he told Tamara.

"Would you not be like that if someone from the future just told you what will happen?" he'd ask her, still a bit confused why she needed Ha'zi. "Last I've seen him was at Minas Tirith, but that is quite some time ago, he could be everywhere." Thoruk would grumble as he moves a hand through his beard. "Besides, could you help me and find this little village of those people? I'd need to grab two friends, after that we could go with you. I need to go to Minas Tirith anyway, I have some things that I myself must handle aswell." he'd say, standing up, offering her a hand to get up. "Eonwe" he would think "Hopefully he's awake by now."

--------------

"That's true I guess." she'd answer him, then looking at him. "What will happen to me after this? The guards all look at me like I'm the death in person. I've done nothing wrong, did I?" she'd ask Keratos, pretenting to not be a thief of sorts.

"Mirecyla, Mirecyla, you have grown impatient and insolent." Each syllable reverberated in her head, becoming distorted with each iteration until they faded, not into silence but into something more sinister; unwords, shadows of utterances that left her incapable of speech and made it difficult to form coherent thoughts. "I am disappointed," he said, as biting as frost. "I expected so much from you, and here you are: a bird in a cage, a fly caught in drying sap; no, less than that. Nothing." His presence, already suffocating, grew darker and denser. "Look me in the eye," he whispered, inexorable, unstoppable.

Mirecyla trembled had whatever happened to her been him to? No, it couldn’t be, it was someone else. That mean she at least had some old over her body. Now shaking from the effort Mirecyla would go to talk, concentrating on the words as she spoke slowly and softly “Is... that, what you think?” She asked him attempting to fight back against whatever hold he had, she was still Mirecyla and would be damned if she didn’t fight back “I just tool? Nothing?” She still said softly, but lacing each word with the most potent venom in the world. Fear. While he spoke in such coldness and malice that inflicted it, she spoke in such a way that it chilled the heart, sent the warnings signs in the brain that this wasn’t a safe place. She embraced it! “You... have forgotten... who I am. Sauron.” Pushing back with her words and spirit

Well, Iver already met the sun and her family so it wouldn't be that weird for him, but he doubted that bringing a fucking dragon to her home will do any good. However, being eaten by a dragon sounded like it would decrease his chances of rescuing Shiva and it wasn't something would accept,
Iver kept flying as fast as he could towards the sun.

Vana watched the monster in the distance, and the worm as well. "Report to Manwe about the worm, inform him that i am going after the trickster and that he has Aule. Ask him how should i treat our brother" She said to the scout.
[rule]
Radmir heard her question and couldn't feel a little bit sad, she was thrown into this mess without any warning, somewhat similar to him. "But you deserve that" He thought to himself, thinking about his family.

They passed through the clouds and the world suddenly changed. The skies became black illuminated by thousands of stars that shed light upon a new world. A world above Arda.

The Flying Giant was no longer flying as its bat-like wings refused to go higher and he fell but instead of falling Iver felt solid mass beneath his feet. Yet...beneath him was a cloudy floor that stretched for miles upon miles.

The not-so-merry band of adventurers upon his back saw a cottage of sorts illuminated in the beautiful night-like ether. Although the world they saw was miraculous, the scene they bore witness to was far from it.

The cottage was aflame. Three bodies lined the stratospheric floor: a woman, her skin a bright orange, her corpse ravaged and destroyed; a babe, its body crushed to a pulp like a squeezed grapefruit; and the figure of a large male, half his face was burnt beyond recognition, the skin fried to the bone, the other half marked by scars alongside the rest of his body which had been cut, lashed and stabbed numerous times. It was Eonwe. They were all dead.

Dimitri, Iver, Telimekhtar, and Orome witnessed the murderers of this crime. Six fiery foes gathered around an orange orb that cast light upon the scene, it was what Orome had called 'the sun' last Iver remembered, and it floated precariously in the largest of their hands. They were the Balrogs of Morgoth.

Their Lord was standing just a few feet from them, grasping what appeared to be a silver-haired Maia. Morgoth stabbed a blade through his chest as the Maia struggled against him and proceeded to consume his soul, the bright light that appeared when an Ainu was vanquished did not escape into the Void but rather was sipped away by Morgoth like honeyed nectar.

"Ah. Delicious." The Dark Lord smiled, tossing the body away with such force that its neck broke upon impact with the cottage roof. He turned to see the new visitors.

"Oh. Hello there. If I had known there'd be guests I would've cleaned up." He smiled.

---------------------------------------------

"Understood. We have eagles on standby ready to depart after them outside, Lady Vana." The servant nodded and vanished using flight.

----------------------------------------------

"Eonwe?" Aranel asked. "And that village," She looked back slightly, "Is under my protection. I can't allow you to mess around there, Thoruk."

----------------------------------------------

"No. Nothing. You are innocent, Lil' Lady. They are just," He paused to contemplate, "Afraid. You are a special Lady. We need you to fight for Gondor. Can you do that for me, Tamara? Can you be brave?"

The wind brushed her hair slightly and a leaf landed at Keratos' feet. A white leaf.

13615485 14628767 8861015

"Wait, you can read my thoughts aswell?" he'd ask, making a slightly weird look. "Well, should've known that. Anyway, bout that village, do ya know if my friends are there? I didn't attack anyone at the first place, why should I do it now? Just wanna get my friends. Maybe they can tell you where Ha'zi is aswell, wouldn't it be a win/win situation for you then? We wouldn't bother that little village of yours any longer, we have no business with you anyways, we asked for help but your 'people' seem to not be interested in that." he'd say in a harsh tone, shrugging off slightly. Yet, it was the truth after all, wasn't it?

--------------

"Fight for Gondor?" she'd ask with a surprised tone. "What do you mean by that? I am no fighter. Look at me, I am no more than some bones and skin with nothing more than a few tattered clothes." she'd say, slightly surprised why they would ask her to fight for gondor. "The fight to survive has been hard enaugh for me down there." she'd mutter, looking towards the edge, then back to Keratos, recognizing the white leaf at his feat. She bends down and grabs the leaf, putting it into Keratos' hand.

A hissing sound escaped the figure, hard to identify at first as laughter. "You are young, and you are foolish. I know everything about you." His presence penetrated into her mind, so that not even there she was alone. "I sense the very flame of your essence. You try to use fear against me, but you forget..." His voice grew deep and oozed malice. "I am fear. There is nowhere to hide, nowhere you can escape me." A great wheel of fire appeared in her mind's eye; unblinking, wroth, its mere presence the cause of immeasurable torment to her soul. It was there when she opened her eyes, and it was there when she closed them; every fiber of her being quivered with the spirit of Sauron the Abominable, the Magnificent. "You are a slave. Who is your master?"

Mirecyla shook and bite down on her younger grunting as she tried not to scream, but ultimately she failed, a shriek spewing out from her mouth and into the crystalline chamber, rebounding against each wall and making it so much louder. Tears streamed down her face as memories were brought back, her and Endos capture, the dungeon fight, escaping from the dungeons. It was all him, this monster who she had worshipped like he was the best thing in the world ”I am fear” she cried out once more trying to look away from the bruins eye ”Who is your master” she cried out once more, each sentence like thunder in her eye.

Suddenly she had a moment of comprehension his words connected touched her a sinister smile formed on her face, her mind eye staring back at the burning flame “My master?” She chuckled shifting in her crystal prison “Oh my dear Sauron how mistaken you are? You say you are fear? Well, perhaps you forgot who commands fear. Now, who is your master?!” She would say, going to unleash her power to shatter the room and force him to bow

"And behold now a red horse, and power was given unto him to take peace from the earth." Dimitri recited. They were dead, they were all dead. And the sun now in the grasp of Morgoth and his cabal. Dimitri's heart sank. There would be no victory now.

Stop being a little bitch, Dimitri. You always do this.

Gotta agree with Aragrath, get up, boy. The Quest isn't over yet, there is always more.

"What now?" Dimitri asked the Trickster.

Galador arrived outside the timely building with the rest of his squadron, save the Guardian, Warrior, and Daugo. He noticed with suspicion that the gate was left oddly open for such an owner. "Vardamir, we might have more company than expected, sir," he whispered to the captain.
[rule]
"Shit. Sorry about that, chap." He grunted, easing the blade out of the blade of the shifter's shoulder. "Miss, you can stop criticizing your law enforcement and instead assist me in detaining this heathen. It would be much appreciated over... well, to put it lightly, being a nuisance." Shin may be evil, but he'd never call ungrateful children unkind words.

"Now we-" The Trickster was unable to finish as Telimekhtar unleashed a battle cry and leaped off the Flying Giant whilst unsheathing his longsword.

"I SHALL END YOU HERE, MORGOTH!!" The Son of Tulkas rushed with vehemence towards the Dark Lord. The Balrogs made a move to intercept him but a single raised hand from Morgoth stopped them in an instant.

"DIE!!!" Telimekhtar swung the blade in an arc at Morgoth and he caught it in one hand. The blade shattered. Suddenly another hand rose up and gripped ahold of Telimekhtar face, twisted him up and around and swung him about above the ground before taking ahold of his neck and squeezing it. His free arm gripped ahold of a dark black sword. It was the same blade used to kill Tilion. "Yes. I will grant you the mercy that is death. Now you die."

---------------------------------

"I'm sorry but I can't do that. They don't know I'm here. No one but Cardiloc does. And now you. I intend to keep it that way. Time travel, the future, timelines, whatever is not for the minds of ordinary people. As such I will not reveal myself to them unless absolutely necessary. As for your friends, tell me who they are and I shall retrieve them for you. In return, you will take me to Ha'zi. Do we have an accord?" Aranel set the stakes. "Otherwise, you and I are going to have problems."

-------------------------------

Sauron felt a certain power tingle across his skin. Interesting. She had grown powerful enough to have an effect, albeit superfluous, on him. Mirecyla, on the other hand, became weaker and weaker as the image of the burning wheel took form within her mind. She no longer could see without it distorting her vision. A single flaming wheel twisting and turning with creaks and cogs, each sending a bone-splitting chill down her spine. She was becoming-no-she was terrified. Absolutely terrified. It began to resemble her worst nightmares. Being raped by those older boys back in her village in a time before her powers, disappointing Sauron, being second best to Miriel in everything, failing, feeling mercy for the weak, and above all, that recurring dream. That nightmare of Berethor burning before her eyes in a fiery hail. It was seared into her mind as Sauron's taunts bombarded her.

------------------------------

"Huh?" Keratos looked at his hand and saw the silver leaf. He smiled and kneeled down, taking it and gently placing it between Tamara's hair. "There ya go Lil Lady. Like the flower you are, you will bloom into a big beautiful tree one day." He looked to the white tree. "Keep the flower with you always as a token from me." Then he stood up again.

"We must be on our way. I'm sorry but I'll bring you back to it one day. Until that day I will teach you how to fight, if that's okay with you Lil' Lady?"

-------------------------------

"So it appears," Vardamir's reply was short and curt. "Arcturus, take eight men and go through the rear. Helvion you and your team search the garden. The rest of you with me. We go in through the front." He slid through the gate and entered the estate grounds signaling with his fingers for Galador and the remaining twelve to follow.

-------------------------------

"Hey! I'm not a nuance!" Ela yelled at him. "You are! Why are you hurting my brother's friend?! He did nothing wrong to you!"

Shin found it difficult but doable to carry the bigger man on his back, lugging around the weight.

"Now that's the tone I expected from ya!" Thoruk would answer with a slight laugh coming through, laying his hand onto Aranel's shoulder. "Aye, we have an agreement." he'd say. "The persons are Arandil, a gondorian, shouldn't be hard to sort of find him there and the other guy is a bit a chaotic dalishman called Iver, he's the shifter of the flying giant." he'd say, putting on his helmet. "But how do you intend to get them if you don't want to show yaself?" Thoruk would ask, curious of what she would pull out of her sleeve now.

--------------

"Beautiful?" she'd think, touching her hair, looking at Keratos as he stood there, like a friend, no, more like a father. She would blush slightly before answering "I will always keep it with me!" with a slight smile appearing on her face. "Teach me how to fight?" she'd ask, wondering a bit, turning around towards the tree once more for a few seconds thinking of what he just said. "I mean, I could try." she'd slowly mutter, following him.

Nothing changed for Mirecyla, but in the innermost corners of Sauron's psyche, he was pleased; the girl was becoming truly powerful to be able to make him feel anything at all. He laughed nonetheless. "Maggot! Miserable worm! Do not think you can hurt your master, let alone control him. His mental assault on her continued, relentless, her worst fears and memories coalescing into a single, burning thought that seared her brain and made her body writhe with pain. There was nothing she could do to escape, to find relief; he was there if she fainted, he was there when she was awake, he was there in her memories and he was there in her thoughts of the future, for his malice seeped into her image of Berethor, and she remembered his voice as Sauron's and his eyes as the Maia's, and there was no hope in her mind of ever not being with him. "Whom do you serve?" he rephrased his question, as another, lesser brother of his had once uttered.

"Ah, Lasser, you have come. I thought of you as a clever, soulless smart lad. But it seems you are going to get yourselves all killed. Don't you realize that if you attack Minas Tirith , the other giants will be called upon. Think Lasser, think. You know what will happen if both sides clash, you know the outcome will only bring more pain and suffering to the furious mob you have here. Will you ever realize it before it's too late? Deep down I know you wont, which is a pity, I use to think you were smart."
