VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Iver doubted that whatever the fuck this shit was it was friendly. So after throwing Lil Teli on his back and snatching the massive valar he would flap his wings as fast as he could in order to escape that thing.

“Fuck fuck fuck.” Cardiloc groaned as he realised his sister wasn’t there, he turned to the two Endo’s, and sighed. He sat down, and pondered the shit situation he was in.

Thoruk, surprised, yet not too much since he found no burnt body after his fireball back then would look at her, grabbing a hold of the axe on his back, yet not pulling it off. "So ya survived the fireball. Aye, should've known it." he'd say. She seemed different than before, not as aggressive. Had something changed? "You don't seem like you want to kill me like the last time" he'd slowly grumble, noticing the scar's on her face. "Also, these are new. And not from my attacks, aren't they?" he'd ask, pointing at her face with his other hand.

--------------

"Gorgeous..." Tamara would mutter at the sight of the tree. Like some sort of a little ent, frozen in place, caught in eternal winter, it stood there, so gracious, it's leaves beautiful as ever. This was a sight she wanted to see for her entire life and now, now it was a sight she would never forget. "How is that possible?" she'd ask Keratos as they walk along, grabbin his arm with one of her hands. "How is a tree white like snow and still bears leaves on it? Is this some kind of magic?" she'd ask, totaly caught by the magical-looking tree, forgetting that she was some sort of prisoner right now.

Nodding at the info presented to them, Ha'zi took a small, worried glance at the hobbit before he left, then reverted back to facing Belzagar. "Do you have any ideas of why the King may have chosen this, General?"

Upon the resulting chaos and thankful absence of the other shifters, a long smirk cut across the ranger's face. Snatching his short sword, Shin lunged at the shifter, swinging his blade down across the man's ankle, then attempted to knock his legs out from underneath his victim with a sweeping kick. Snarling, he bodly pronounced, "Here's payback, bitch!"

Dimitri went back to the tunnel and began to sprint up to the surface with haste, cursing in Forochelrim as he did Dark things lived down there, and he had no intention to die to it.

Though Sigeric's expression did not show, it, he was inwardly cursing this patronizing bastard. Be on their best behaviors? Just who exactly did he think they were? However, this information about the King was interesting, to say the least. Aragorn had personally requested his presence? Admittedly, Sigeric was curious. He nodded to Daugo as he left the room, then looked back to the General. "If this is to be our course of action, then so be it. I will remain in Minas Tirith, sir." It seemed that there would be no convincing Belzagar. The best he could do would be to speak to Daugo to make sure that he was prepared for this. The mission was in his hands now. He awaited the General's response to Ha'zi's question, and also sent a mental transmission to Ha'zi. "You wish for assistance in learning about the General? What do you have in mind?"

The Dwarf and Flying Giants burst through the tunnel and out onto the snowy mountain top as the rumbling beneath them increased. Down the tunnel, both could see something large block the hole they had just escaped through. An eye, something so large that its circumference was not fully encapsulated by the tunnel stared up at them with malice.

"Iver take Dimitri and fly us eastbound. I do not wish to expend any more energy." The Trickster's voice entered their minds. Slowly their ears had begun to heal and both could hear the whippings of the wind around them at this altitude as well as some deep dark rumbling beneath them. The mountain appeared to be shaking...

KRAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK.

Rocks and earth and snow went flying out one side of the foothills beneath them, being sent like debris through the sky from the shock impact. They saw some great snout burst through an opening in the mountain. And an exaggerated roar met their ears. They were still hard of hearing yet it was loud enough to send fear into even Dimitri's brave heart. The head of a large reptilian creature emerged and it reared its head back around towards them.

"REEETTTTUUUUUURRRNN MYYYYY PRRIIIIIZZZE!!!!"

-------------------------------------

"We have a lot to discuss," Aranel raised her hands to her hood and revealed her hair to be greying. Thoruk clearly saw this was nearly a different person even in terms of attitude to the one masquerading as 'Arathor'. "Please, may we sit," Aranel asked before taking a step toward the Dwarf.

-------------------------------------

"What the fuck is going on?" The younger Endo asked, not even willing to flee since the circumstances were so wild fleeing would be impossible especially when he did not know where he was.
"Just calm down," The older one said. He turned to Cardiloc, "I'm sorry. She-she jumped and I couldn't catch her in time. Don't worry, you can take us back, right? We need to rescue Berethor....right.....?"

---------------------------------------

Berethor screamed in pain as his leg was sliced in half just above his ankle and his right leg was kicked resulting in him falling to the floor. Ela and the maid continued screaming as Shin rose above the Armoured Shifter.

-------------------------------------------

Keratos halted his pace as he felt a small hand take hold of his arm. He remembered his daughter. The way she used to clutch onto him and hold onto his back. It lasted a mere millisecond before he returned to reality.

"It is magical, isn't it?" He asked. "People say it came from the land of our ancestors. A place they called Numenor, out in the Beleger. An ancient kingdom of men that ruled the seas." He smiled at Tamara. "Do you ever wish to just explore these things? See the world around us instead of just staying in this city, Lil' Lady?"

The White Tree bristled in the wind. A leaf falling and gently trailing through the air towards the two of them as the rest of the rangers continued on their way towards the Citadel barracks.

Daugo was waiting outside the chambers for the others but saw the little girl who had the unfortunate circumstance of inheriting that serpent's power. She was clinging onto one of the larger rangers, one of those from Belzagar's unit that had been tasked with guarding him on this diplomatic mission. They appeared to be watching the White Tree. A marvel of beauty in its own right. One of a kind. The first and likely the last of its genus.

-----------------------------------------

"It is not my place to speak on behalf of the King. You may ask him yourself when he arrives," Belzagar replied to Ha'zi. "Whenever that may be," He added underneath his breath.

"Until then, stay out of trouble and remain in the city. If you have any issue or troubles, come speak to me directly. I shall be here at the Citadel leading the command of this city. Captain Vardamir shall be on the fourth level at its respective barracks if you need of him. Any training or other drills that you wish to conduct shall need to be brought by me so if there are any requests-" He turned to the two Karoltai, "Now is the time to make them."

Thoruk would lower the hand he was holding his axe with. "Your hair... youn- lady. You look way different." he'd tell her. "You don't seem like the person I have in my memories you were." he'd say, taking a closer look. It had to be her, yet she looked so much... older. What happend to her? "Tell me, why did you come to see exactly me?" Thoruk would grumble, putting off his helmet.

------------

"Numenor.." she'd mutter as they looked at the tree. She didn't respond for some seconds as she stared down the tree and the magic aura surounding it. "I never thought of leaving the city. In the lower city you fight for your life, especially in winter. For me even this, up here, is something beautiful." she'd say to him as they stand there, looking at the tree. She felt like one of these little children down in the lower levels of minas tirith, running around through the streets, playing games with their families. And now, she stood there, taking Keratos' hand with a little smile on her face. She felt happy, she felt like one of these children as they enjoyed the view for a bit more, like father and daughter.

Daugo smiled affably as he saw the ranger's little moment with the inheritor girl, thinking with a pang of sorrow about his own children when they were younger.

Then he remembered that she would be a bargaining chip in the negotiations, and scolded himself. 'Now Daugo,' he thought, 'don't get too attached. She likely won't be returning with us.'

“Yeah.. its just, I’m out. I’ve got no energy left, he’s on his own... unless, we’ll I haven’t tried it since, since the ship. I’ll just need some rest, then tomorrow, we’ll focus on getting Berethor back, and my sister and soon Mirecy as well. But first, I need to explain all this to you Endo.” He looked over at the younger Endo. “It’s a long story, but I’ll try my best to tell you about it.” And then, he began to explain.

"That's not what I... nevermind. Hm... I would like to test out some other abilities out after the recent engagements. Sigeric, what about you?" Ha'zi asked, turning to the Dalishman.

"I want to know what this guy is thinking. We've been kept in the dark about so much shit at this point- the imprisoned Protos, Glorfindel, their camp, my chi- Ahem. I-I want to know what's going on, Sigeric. What they are still hiding from us."
[rule]
Grinning, Shin addressed the panicking women. "Don't despair, damsels! I'm just dealing with this, er, terrorist. And if you want something to be fraught about, have it be alerting the authorities!" He turned back towards the writhing Berethor, bringing a blow down on the center of the man's chest, stomping his boot down. The ranger then went to retrieve his knife, which he would try to stab into the shifter's shoulders if successful.

Iver busted out of the tunnel and landed outside, shacking and sweating. Whatever that thing was, at least it couldn't follow them. He thought to himself as he moved the body of the second Vala to his back, alongside Orome and Lil Teli." He would turn around to Dim after Orome gave them new orders, he didnt mind where they were going as long as it was far away from here.
KRAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKK
Iver turned around again and saw the monster, it had to be a dragon, like the one Bard slew, probably bigger. Iver turned his head towards Dim, did the idiot got out of his giant? because Iver was about to get the fuck out of there with him or without him.

Citing the famous adventurer-bard, Marco, Dimitri shouted, "What the FACK?!" He quivered a bit, his mind filled with fear at the thought of a huge reptile swallowing him whole and grinding his bones down into dust. Dimitri left his giant form and leapt onto Iver's back. "Gogogogogogogogogogogogogogogogogogo." Dimitri shouted as loud as he could, hoping he could fly away as fast as explosive diarrhea through an anus.

With Dimitri on his back Iver would start flying away from the beast, not entirely sure it was where Orome wanted to go but currently he just wanted to leave.

Iver heard the wails and wallows of the beast far below them as they flew away.

"Head high, far up into the skies, Iver. Don't stop until I tell you. We need to use the light of Anar to restore my brother's strength." The Trickster told him.

Dimitri could still hear the beast bellow cackling and roiling, the sound of earth sloshing about. He could glimpse a massive body curling around one of the mountain peaks just out of the corner of his eye but he dared not to see any more. That was enough for now. Whatever that thing was...

--------------------------------

"As I said. There's a lot to discuss. You see...I'm from a different time..." And so she began.

Thoruk was bombarded by a plague of tales, most of which were so unrealistic that he had to question whether this woman was sane or not. Yet certain events, certain things, did make some sense. Ha'zi's children...the greater evil... something she called 'The Darkness', she described it like the shadows in his dreams...Mandos...the future...Morgoth and Manwe...Cardiloc...it was all starting to make sense. Except for two things which had to be untrue.

The first being that the dwarves are wiped into extinction and the second that the Trickster was no other than some Vala of Hunting. Those mad no sense whatsoever. Yet everything else...

"And that's why I need to find Ha'zi. He's the only one that can put an end to this. But we also need my younger self. So if you've seen her around...I'd love to know where she is?" Aranel finished.

Apparently, Ha'zi could replicate all their powers, not just one at a time but all together...and if he could do that...well...he could essentially become as powerful as Eru.

This was such absolute dwarfshit that Grimnir's bones would be rattling around in his grave.

-------------------------------------

Screaming. Followed by more screaming as Berethor struggled with Shin, trying to stop the ranger from stabbing him and miserably failing. The blade went through bone and Berethor let out a yell so loud that it caused the maid to flee in panic and Ela watched in horror as the shortsword broke through and cut into the floor.

Berethor stopped struggling and merely wheezed in loss.

-----------------------------------

"One day they say that this tree will die. As all mortal things do," Keratos muttered, "Even us." He smiled wanly.

--------------------------------------

A robed figure passed the citadel guard which stood silent and watchful outside the King's dungeon. He continued across the swept floor toward a nestle of twigs that comforted a large round crystalline shell containing a frozen body within. Ropes wrapped around it and tied it to the walls so that it remained upright.

The figure came close and passed a window overlooking the moon through a set of wispy clouds and placed a gloved hand over the crystal. The blueish hue glamoured as the Ithil revealed the woman within. The figure's mouth opened and a smile crept upon its face.

"What a poor unfortunate soul. Pity. Melkor would have you rest. I am not Melkor."

-----------------------------------------

Mirecyla awoke inside a chamber of crystal. The room reflected her appearance in a myriad of shapes and sizes and she saw that she was alone. Yet she heard a voice...his voice...Master's voice!

"What a poor unfortunate soul. Pity. Melkor would have you rest. I am not Melkor."

15756962 13615485 14628767 8861015 16315828

Mirecyla would let out a smile master, she was back home safe in his arms. Master would protected master woul- shit... Panicked Mirecyla would look around for anything to defend herself with. She had left him, hurt him, abandoned him alongside everyone else. He surely come to to punish her! Using the fear she’d attempt to cloak herself, picturing a sheet of solid fear that when draped over her would hopefully make it look like she was invisible. She trembled waiting to see what happened. “Please don’t hurt me” She’d mumble

Mirecyla's mind was still a blur from the recent events that had unfolded in that dreaded city. All she could really remember was fractions of it. A voice commanding her, Berethor shouting her name, Even jumping off her shoulder, guards everywhere, a large bloody mess.

But now...now she was...here?

"Oh, Mirecyla. You mistook me. I am not here to hurt you. Truthfully, I would if you weren't a necessary evil for this plot. Alas, you are. Do enjoy your sojourn. The agony has yet to commence."

15756962

Mirecyla would a hand to her hand closing her eyes. What the hell had happened? Berethor and Even, where was Endo? Grumbling she extended a hand, if she wanted to know what happened she would need to work with him. “Help me out please, I don’t feel so good and I’d rather you spare the bullshit riddles and tell me what’s up.”

"Good little bastard, giving in to 'ol Papa Shin. Now, I'd like to avoid more unpleasantries for the moment- today's been a real hellish day. So, please, don't resist, and everything from here on out will be just dandy, alright?" He said, keeping his foot firmly on Berethor, pressing it harder until he would hear an answer.

"I-ug-hh-i-sur-" Berethor drifted out of consciousness with a wheeze of air as Shin pressed down on his chest, deflating him.

Did Shin just kill another one?
