Marco got up, mounted his horse and looked at the others with some skepticism and disbelief. "I didn't actually die, did I?" He gulped.
"I don't know. Something of power. I could not sense it at first but then it dawned on me. It cannot harm us for now. Let us go." Eonwe said, riding ahead.
((TIME-SKIP))
It had been fifteen more of riding through the jungle and up the steep incline before they emerged into a clearing. Eonwe led them up a mountain on a steep route along the side of the dormant volcano. After another fifteen or so minutes they reached the peak. There was a plateau along with a large entrance to a cave. Eonwe dismounted and said, not loudly,
"The Flying Giant should be in there. In the case they are sleeping, restrain them and do not allow them to injure themselves. If they are already in Giant form, engage it before it can leave the cave. Do not permit it to fly otherwise we lose all chances of retrieving its power." He walked up to Ha'zi and Cardiloc.
"Ha'zi do not transform unless you must. If you do, do it outside, otherwise you may collapse the cave and kill us all. Cardiloc, I expect you to fight the Flying Giant if it comes down to it. I will let you cut yourself now so that you have the chance to transform. Think of the most deadly beast you can imagine to bring it down. Do you both understand?" He asked them. This was a lot to take in. Ha'zi would be virtually useless in the cave, however, they couldn't allow the Flying Giant to escape it. It was Cardiloc's role to take it down.
Eonwe turned to the rest of them, "To kill the Flying Giant, remove the shifter from the giant's neck. Be careful not to kill them whilst they are un-transformed, this may result in them transforming and getting away. Bring the shifter restrained to me if you can. Otherwise take its power before it can escape. Kill them at all costs. If anyone is injured or dying we can save them by giving them the power." The Maiar unsheathed his longsword and walked into the cave, expecting them to follow.
