VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Thoruk would look at a few people, but not bother with anyone as he walked towards the lonely mountain.

--------------

"G-guards, oh no, they found us" she'd mumble before hearing a loud cry and seeing a flash of light emerge from this area aswell. "W-w-what was that?" Tamara would mutter, getting herself into, hopefully, safety as she searches for a house wall where she could hide from guards and whatever this flash of light was. She would pick up full pace if she would spot a good corner that would keep her hidden, well atleast a bit, and hide there to wait for things to unfold.

"Fucking finally, let's get the show on the road!" Mirecyla would say, biting down on her tounge to keep her from screaming as Even bit her. As he did so her eyes widened and her heart started to pump faster and faster, her eyes rolled into the back of her head as spasms took old of her. She smiled and then screamed as the transformation took form. As she transformed she pictured the Destroyer Giants hands, the callused and rough hands of a blacksmith, then Miriels ability to change her Giants arm into a blade or regular arm. Mirecyla would picture her Giants hands and with those former images rushing through her brain, she'd contribute them to that image. Going to try and give herself bigger and harder hands for her to climb the walls easier if needed. Once transformed she'd go to kick the row of guards approaching from the rear.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Mateus pushed forward with his squad he'd look up upon seeing the light, could it be a fire spear? Or was it that one of the prisoners had escaped? "It looks like they've been spotted" he'd mutter rushing along with the rest of the group.

"WAAAAUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The Executioner Giant's scream was heard across the entirety of Minas Tirith.

Mirecyla's claw gripped onto one of the nearby mansions, breaking the parapets on it as she steadied herself. Her kick launched several men through the air. She saw the platoon in front of her lying helpless in terror on the floor whilst a few men launched spears at her rear.

Even chased after Tamara but she was far too fast. "Hey, wait!" He called to her, propelling Endo forward.

-----------------

"WAAAAUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The ground shook and a scream erupted from outside. Cardiloc felt Ela hug his leg and whimper. "Are the bad people back?"

------------------

"WAAAAUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Ostopher looked to the sky and exclaimed, "Well then, hurry! They've made their move!" And with a swipe of his gauntlet, he beckoned the half-dozen Karoltai and rangers out onto the streets.

There they were met with quite the sight. Eight rangers lay trodden over the streets whilst people ran in various directions and into houses. Their bodies were mostly unharmed save for a few bruises, broken hands and some non-lethal stabs.

"Lieutenant," One of the men gasped out as he sighted Ostopher and the others. "The elf...he's...there," He pointed down the street.

Sigeric, Ha'zi, Daugo, Rambo, Galador, Ramdir, and Ostopher got a clear view of a white-haired elf in cracked armor and tattered, bloodied clothes running over the roof of one of the houses, leaping from it onto another and continuing, down to the second level.

-----------------

"WAAAAUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The tenth ranger squadron found itself staring at one harkening beast. It lay down the road, standing at nearly ten meters in height.

Its fists were black globes of meat clawed and hairy, its back protruded with spikes that ran down its spine. The most peculiar thing, though, was that it lacked a head. Instead, there was a small snub of meat sticking out, resembling that of a young raven-haired girl engulfed in the large ebony mass.

"Disable the Terror Giant and recapture the female at all costs!" Kurio ordered them and rushed down the street towards the lumbering beast, Arthor followed whilst Cochran began priming a fire-spear and went down the opposite lane.

Keratos looked to his men, "Surround it. Take its legs out and drop it. Then we rip her out from the neck like we did to that loud-mouth! For Gondor!" He exclaimed to Mateus, Furdin and Shin.

----------------

After three hours of walking, not too heavy a toll on his dwarven legs, Thoruk finally reached the great gate of Erebor. The dwarven statues of his ancestors kneeling proudly before him.

-------------

"Then," Aranel bit his ear seductively as she caressed his hair, "I need your help, Iver. You want to help me?" She kissed his ear softly, "Don't you?" Her voice was a whisper.

-----------

"Mmmm," Marco moaned as he was carried away. He heard their voices all around him.

"Wat's dat 'un?"

"He killed Jop."

"Really? That thing killed Jop?"

"Yeah, and he's bigger and stronger for some reason."

"Dis bastardo killed puss-puss Joppy?"

"Yes."

"Gundoorion?"

"Looks that way,"

"What of Evenis? Are you certain that he...?"

"I don't know. Berethor, what did you see?"

"Mirecy's target incinerated him. I don't know how that was possible but it went full inferno. I watched him explode into flames. I'm sorry, Lasser. I know that he was your brother."

"Did you avenge him? At the least?"

"No. We barely got out of there with our lives and that one-" He felt one of them grab his hair and yank it.

"MHHMMM!!" Marco yelped.

"Gundoorian shite," A fist bashed Marco's right eye.

"Hey, not here. That can wait. I need you to take him and see what you can get from him. Alright, Lasser?"

"Sure. But wouldn't Garath be more useful?"

"That is the last measure. For now, I want you to dissect his memories. Find out everything about our enemies. Their plans. The layout of their city. Their prisons. I want everything. Especially about the other shifters because clearly we weren't told everything. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise, Even wouldn't be dead." Marco heard the man carrying him finish the sentence. He was failing to open his right eye and felt blood on his lips. It was the first thing he had tasted in a while.

"So, take this one to the outhouse. We can't keep him close to the village. He's too dangerous. Make sure to keep cutting his feet off when they regrow so he can't transform. I'll check in with you later. Take care Lasser," Marco felt himself lowered to the ground. A man with brown hair and a fearsome brown beard walked over and grabbed his shoulder strap.

"Oh," He put the voice he had heard for so long to a face, it was that man with the red hair. "Raddis. Don't kill him yet. We need him as both a bargaining tool but also a weapon."

"I can steel hab me fun wid dis 'un tho," His left eye caught sight of a big black ape. For a moment he didn't recognize it as human just from the sheer size of the man.

"Yes." The redhaired man said after a brief pause and the black one grinned.

"Cum to Raadees," He said and grabbed Marco by the hair. The two men dragged him back through the grass as the Gondorian screamed in agony watching the redhaired man and the one who had carried him walk away. No, please. No, Eru. No. Please. Iver. Thoruk. Sigeric. Daugo. Ha'zi. Cardiloc. Dimitri. Eonwe. Celeborn. Glorfindel. Elladan. Elrohir. Sam. Silesia. Please, where were they? Where were his friends?! "MMMHGGHG!!!" He gasped through the gag.

"You'll have all the time to scream later," Lasser told the prisoner.

"Yea, I habn't had me fooon yeet, har har har!" Raddis cackled.

"HAAALLLLLPPPPPP!!" Marco screamed.

Raddis punched him, silencing the man with a single blow to the neck.

--------------------

"Oh you poor thing," Beren gazed down at the broken body before him. "How the world rejects you. It's almost ironic really. Isn't it Norio?"

The other man remained silent through his ruby mask.

"Not much to say, eh?" Beren laughed. "Well," He jumped down into the canyon below, landing with a splash of dust easily. "Let's see if we can fix this." He placed his hand over the corpse. "Time to add another to our ranks."

"And save another abandoned soul," Beren whispered to himself as he willed his power into the body.

It shook. Its eyes shot open and a hand grasped onto his. He looked back into it. "Welcome back."

"Are you certain bringing back that one is a good idea?" Beren heard another voice from the top of the canyon. He looked back up to see the figure of his best friend standing beside Norio.

"I've already revived them."

"I can easily kill them." Came the reply.

"On the contrary, I don't believe you can. And actually," He turned back to the body which was healing. "This one is crucial to our plans here. Critical, in fact." A smile spread out across his scarred face as his green eyes met the jade ones that stared back at him in awe.

Just perfect, one of those idiots had transformed; it couldn’t be Evenis after all he was the snake, nor Endo he didn’t have any shifting powers. Either it was another giant or Mirecy that stupid idotic bitch. How was he supposed to extract her now that she had revealed herself to all of Gondor. “They are.” Cardiloc sighed. “Show me to them,”
[rule]
“Guardian, think he’s with us or just trying to escape?” He asked Sigeric.

"WAAAAUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Mirecyla would roar to the sky, except she could see it, and feel it, she looked around and saw her giants neck. What the fuck? She looked at her hands and saw that they had indeed changed. Instantly however it clicked to her, by causing the energy onto changing her from while not ever doing so caused her to loose the energy to transform as a whole giant. Nodding she'd let out another guttural roar, her soul opening up as she let loose that horrific power, that power she'd been channeling and keeping inside of her for days. Opening her arms and pumping her chest she'd let loose, her fear exploding outwards like a dome. Going to go as far as possible before being drawn back to her for a minute. After letting loose she'd swiftly turn around and go to grab Endo and Even before sprinting down the road to reach the third level. She'd put them on top of her head so they could talk to her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mateus would nod and elbow Shin, motioning for him to follow him as he went to follow the route Cochran went. He looked at the giant again and wonder what went wrong. From the information he had seen and what he knew about the giants it seemed wrong. All of them were supposed to have heads so why didn't this one? Plus those spikes and hands, the hands were odd. Resembling something he had seen in Harad, then the spikes, he had heard they were all around the giant. Not situated in one area, what was she playing at?

After agreeing and coming to the conclusion that Arandil was the one that had to stay behind, he tried to make himself more at home after Throuk had left. The letter of his dreams after his death, had been given to his comrade who was off to go to his kin. Now there he was, alone, a mere mortal in a village full of beings that can crush him in a instance.

"What can we do about him?" Galador asked Ostopher, uncertainty coming into effect as he looked at those unfortunate few that faced the elf already.
----------------------------------------------
"Great job, bitch. Thanks for making my job a whole lot easier." Shin snickered as he leveled his crossbow, aiming and firing all three barrels towards the travesty of a head upon the Terror Giant.

Furdin did as his commander instructed, trying to flank around the beast to get a blow on the back of its knees.

--------------------------

"The greatest-mightiest of all-all and the father-lord of you-you, master! Eru Illuvatar!"

The wave of fear spread across the fourth level as Mirecyla trampled through the streets like a wild animal. However, before she could make her great escape she saw Even disappear into a corner. Endo was hit by the wave and knocked down. She easily grabbed him. However, Even and the girl Tamara were missing.

---------------

Squad ten saw the beast rushing away down towards the third level.

"Don't let her escape!" Keratos yelled, but all soldiers nearing it were instantly subdued by some invisible force.

Furdin felt something hit him as he neared it. Suddenly, he was no longer in Gondor. Instead...he was back in Minas Morgul, fighting. A troll had just taken hold of him and was crushing him in its palm. He was helpless to stop it.

Shin's arrows went wild as the beast moved about. It was too fast. He did hit it, but he missed the head.

Mateus noticed that. Weren't they given strict orders to keep her alive? Was Shin really that disregardful?

---------------

"This way," She led Cardiloc down towards a door and just before she opened it, it flung open itself. Standing at the top of a staircase was Berethor. Or at least, his older self.

"Car-" The man started to twitch.

Ela began crying. "Horse-lords!"

And Cardiloc saw a redhaired man walking towards him. The same man who killed his friend and mentor. Beren. Fear sized control of the Dunlending and he felt warm liquid seep down his loins.

---------------

"What I want? I want..." She rolled onto Iver and kissed him softly then pulled away, "I want you."

--------------

The days passed slowly at first but soon everything became normal to Arandil. He spent his time aiding these people. Aside from their quirks, they were just ordinary people. Some of them may have been murderers, no, some of them were definitely murderers. He knew that. These were the people who had caused his brothers in Gondor so much pain. They were the ones who had put Farangar into a deep sleep. Yet, he found himself coming to enjoy them. Some of them at least.

Equas made him laugh. They worked together constructing small huts, cabins, collecting wood from the nearby forest. Lasser kept Raddis away and gave him things to do. Every once in a while they played checkers. Arandil always lost but it was nonetheless something. And he was getting better. Maybe one day he'd beat him. He saw Thule and Penduilas every once in a while. He went hunting with Yellena and was astonished when he learned Raimen could fly.

Yet, the most satisfying of all his duties was spent with Dina. She would knit and listen to his stories of the world, of Gondor, of the War of the Ring. He had lied offtimes to make the stories amusing and she would never call him out on it. Instead, she'd laugh, a rather soft giggle more so than a cackle but still a laugh.

Arandil's life was suddenly more...full. Yet, there was always a part of him that yearned for home.

---------------

"And who did Eru Illuvatar entrust Arda to?"

8861015 14628767 18199471 15756962 13615485 16315828 12700073

"All-all of the Valar! From your wife-woman Varda to that laughing-joyful Tulkas and more-more!" Dimitri continued, smiling widely as he answered his master. "They all-all hated Morgoth and the laughing-joyful one helped fight-defeat him many-many times!"

--------------------

Furdin blinked and there he was, back in the poisonous Vale of Minas Morgul. "What the hell..." he said. Then he felt a crushing pain. He blinked again and there he saw a huge troll, slowly crushing him like a man would crush an insect. "Let... me... go!" Furdin futilely demanded, beating away at its fist.

Mirecyla winked at Endo when he landed on her neck, but once she noticed that Even wasn't in her grasp she mentally cursed. The noble bastard, they were going to ditch the girl! What did he think was going to happen?

EVENIS GET BACK HERE

Shed yell, halting her sprint and heading to the corner. Grabbing ahold of nearby building she'd crush the pillars and bricks, throwing the rubble at all packs of rangers she saw, when she got close enough to the corner she'd look behind it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Shin! What you doing!" Mateus roared at the man, was he trying to get himself hung? They were given specific orders not to kill the girl, the general having plans to weaponize her. With her dead that would happen, yet how could they stop her then?

"Oh, just relax, Mateus!" Shin said, waving off the insubordination as if it were an offensive joke instead of near murder. "There's nothing a little pain won't do to make our problems go away. Besides, I doubt any of my bolts would kill the brute that easily." He turned back around, quickly working on reloading and redirecting his assisting barrels to aim at different angles. Once he had done so, positioning his secondaries so that they'd hit near each shoulder while the primary straight at the upper chest, Shin breathed in, then out as he pulled the trigger.

"I... I think it would be much wiser to have Glorfindel as an ally than to be his enemy. Or even to let 'im go. Any scenario where he doesn't want to slaughter us is ideal, really," said Daugo, speaking quickly because of his nervousness. He hoped that that Rambo character would be clever enough to heed him.

"No Shin! We were given direct orders not to kill the girl. A headshot with a damned crossbow bolt will do the trick. Do you have any rope on you?" Mateus would ask, an idea forming in the back of his head while he watched the giant.

"Of course, that would be the far simpler way to go. Unfortunately, that's no longer an option because of what he did earlier, Daugo. Haven't you heard already about that?" Galador replied to the inquisitive hobbit.
-------------------------------------------
The Haradrim pondered what to do exactly for the elf. For friendly fire reasons, which he didn't entirely agree on but understood the importance of, he wasn't allowed to use his Giant abilities in public. But what could he possibly do without them in this scenario? There were Protos and a wild elf on the loose, he'd have to take some risks to ensure nothing serious would happen, or continue to. Perhaps he could just his mimicry skills in his ordinary form to bypass this...

Performing deep breaths and trying to block out outside voices to help with concentration, Ha'zi accessed his mental strengths. Using them, he tried to cause Glorfindel to halt, projecting a loud, resounding command of "STOP!" into the elf's mind.
------------------------------------------------
"Geez, I stopped with the headshot stuff after the first round. Calm down, mate- I'm trying to aim here. Oh, and on my belt. Grab it quickly and try not to disturb me too much than you've already done, ok?"

"Come here, we'll cut the rope and divide it for your bolts. If we can trip the giant then we can try to cut her out. Don't be reckless about this either. Citizens are around here, we aren't on the field. Use your head Shin." Mateus would say, trying to talk sense into the man while he jogged forward

The hobbit raised his hands, palms outwards. "I mean, if you have a death wish, by all means, go after the elf, but I shan't be involved in that," he replied, irritated.

"Hm, interesting- especially since it's coming from you. Now, hold your metaphorical horses for a second, as I got to do all sorts of processes at the moment with this. But, in the meantime, work with these." He carefully hands Mateus two bolts as he reloads one into the primary.

The buildings began to collapse under her weight as she roared aloud. She could see Evenis far back in the corner with the girl. Was he attempting to console her? At this critical time?

Suddenly, as a projectile hit her hamstring.

KA-BOOM.

The Executioner Giant swayed to the right, crashing down on one of the buildings.

"Well done, sir," Arthor said watching the Terror Giant collapse.

"Could've been better had I been closer. Alas, this one doesn't allow for that particularity. As I said Arthor, young chap, we adapt to suit the situation." Kurio monologued, "Now hand me the other one. Let's bring the beast down, shall we?" He offered his hand to Arthor who passed him another fire-spear.

They were slightly further back from the rest of the people trapped in Mirecyla's field of fear. Unfortunately, both Keratos and Furdin were amongst them along with Cochran who had been caught unawares. Yet, their sacrifices would not be in vain. Kurio would see to that.

Shin spotted their teammates down near the beast. Those eleventh squadron men had just given it a beating. They would claim victory if he did not step in quickly. And less importantly than them, he noticed Furdin battling the air, swinging his overcompensatingly greatsword around like an absolute mad man whilst Keratos was on his knees...crying?

Mateus remembered the manuscript speaking lightly on the Terror Giant's ability to stun opponents with terror, however, he had not expected it to be this effective.

---------------------

Meanwhile on the third level.

"All rangers!" Ostopher ordered them. "Stop that elf!"

And almost like clockwork, Glorfindel halted.

"Ha'zi?" The haradrim boy heard Glorfindel's thoughts. "Is that you?"

An arrow flew at the elf and he narrowly dodged it then continued running. Multiple projectiles were fired at him but he was too swift to be hit.

"Urgh, what are you all standing around for? Aren't you Gondor's Giants?!" Ostopher exclaimed angrily then stomped off after the escaping elf. "Fuck it. I guess if you want something done, you do it yourself!" He touched that strange gauntlet that he carried and it clicked. It began to revolve slowly as he charged down the third level streets in pursuit of the elf along with other rangers who were far ahead.

------------------

Manwe's grimace deepened.

"And who is the King of them all?"
