I worry that EW may end up... boring.
Both siege maps we have so far are extremely similar, and (no offence to Gelek), his new map looks like it will be basically the same too. I mean they don't have any defining gameplay features like maps on the old EW did.
Moria Core is basically the only unique map, and it is crap. No one wants to spend time building, and considering how little wood one gets, hardly anyone does.
On the old EW there was such a variety of play styles - Moria Gold to Erebor... Helm's Deep to Osgiliath. And whats more, what really encouraged people to play was the fact that they were 'real' places - in Middle Earth. That is what made them unique, what added excitement, what added immersion. Not some random unrelatable repetitive siege castle.

Edit: Remember the ride out of Helm's Deep? The blowing up of the wall? Re-adding such unique aspects would go some way to improving enjoyment.
