Thinking of making my own server (Yes again but something different this time)
I kinda want a team-objective themed battle gameplay, but how would this work? Let me try to explain:
So like, Castle assault would start at an encampment, you get a broadcast saying stuff like, Stage 1: "Reach the enemy camp infront of the castle and capture the camp tower" Attackers and defender spawn in different places on each stage and get warped once a stage is completed. Each stage would have a "Reinforcements" State where defenders have like 200 lives and attackers 500. Once the tower is captured, A broadcast would say, Stage 2: Gather at the bathering ram, and push it to the castle gate" or something different like "Build the siege tower at the Castle wall and prepare for it to lower, then capture the castle courtyard"
I can make a lot of maps and different stages to keep things lineair for teamfights. Each map can have honestly unlimited objectives but I'll try to keep it a few and lineair as possible.
How do defenders/attackers win?
If the reinforcements from the attackers have depleted, they'd lose. The attackers obviously have to capture everything to win.
What rewards do we get for winning a game?
After each game, whoever wins, they'd get certain amount of currency (Silver), I havent thought much about how much each team would get but I kinda want to keep it simple.
What about upgrades, cosmetics, etc..?
I was thinking of a currencry system that allows you to buy Cosmetic Chests or Class upgrades. These upgrades obviously wont be very strong but they'd be quite nice.
Do we spawn in a lobby?
Yes, after the map has ended, people would spawn in a great hall, outside this hall would be the castle courtyard where you have NPC's to interact with.
The Blacksmith: Allows Armor upgrades
The Archer Captain: Allows Bow upgrades
The Guard Captain: Allows Sword upgrades
The Merchant: Allows Cosmetic chests to be bought, open it to receive a random weapon or helm design.
*Few random guards doing nothing*
Will there be hunger?
No, everyone has the same regeneration too.
When would a new map start?
A timer which would broadcast when the new battle starts and to join a team at the sign board which are attackers or defenders.
Can I change team?
No, once you have joined a team, you cannot switch back.
What classes would there be?
Castle Guard, Castle Archer, Siege Engineer(probably) and some orthers (You guys can suggest)
What benefit would I get from donating?
I would probably add a simple rank system for everytime you have bought a Reward Chest. This chest Contains a certain amount of curreny + 3 Cosmetics and a rank that will cost 10 euros. Everytime you buy another Chest, you'd get the 20 euro rank title.
