VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Dimitri keeps charging him, roaring the holy name of Tulkas as he grew closer. Once he got close enough to teli where he couldn't throw without getting struck, he would begin his attack.

The surge of electricity pouring out of the Haradrim each moment as he approached was as literally akin as to how Ha'zi himself felt that boiling hot anger course through every fiber in his body... through what was left ot it, that is. He was quite literally, and figuratively, steaming as he drew nearer to the seemingly untouched hobbit. Portions of his body were still sizzling, others dripping melted parts, and the right half of his chest along with across his face was black; the glint of pearly bone could be seen peeking out underneath. It was a wonder as to how he could've scaled the Giant in this state, though Daugo could soon seen the driving motivation.

Violence flashed in his gaze as he locked onto the Behemoth shifter's own. "'You alright?' Well, Daugo, considering I'm not a sludge of melted Haradrim or charred bones, I'd say I'm pretty fi- Yeah, no shit I'm not alright!" Ha'zi exasperatedly exclaims, pieces of ashen facial skin being flung. "I could've died, man! What the fuck was that?!"

SPLASH.

Thoruk doused himself along with the burning forest. It was a wet mess.

------------

Iver was led back to an intricate camp on the outskirts of the forest. He saw a few thatched houses, some older stone buildings, and a couple of newly built wooden homes. Iver saw numerous people, some collecting logwood, others herding some strange bison, a few resting on the porches of their houses. He recognized some of them. Raddis, the black one was carrying a massive log and building what appeared to be a new thatch house.

"This way," Thule muttered as she led Iver into the village and towards one of the houses. Behind him, that entire party dissolved. Equas and the other two giants had moved off quite a while ago. To where was unknown to Iver. Something seemed oddly out of place. There were giant skeletons, or what appeared to be giant bones littered about outside and some inside the villages.

"I don't need you because Beren will never find us." Aranel said to Cardiloc. "Why do you want her so badly, Card?"

"We actually throw the knives. Same with the spears. They'll hook onto a target. Just be sure to watch your aim with them and remember not to get too close to the spears once they're lit."

"Any more questions before we begin?" He looked towards the line of soldiers.

"Cease the exercise." Captain Vardamir said to the drill sargeant. "Bring them in."

A dozen riders were dispatched over to Sigeric.

--------------

Dimitri neared Telimekhtar but just as he came upon the Son of Tulkas, a shard found its way into his right foot, piercing through the leather boot. A flurry of strikes followed, bashing Dimitri's shield to pieces as he crashed into Telimekhtar.

"Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Ha'zi, he tracked all of us in this time, I don't know if Beren could do the same to you." Cardiloc shook his head. "Want her? This isn't anything about wanting her, I just want to do good for Ha'zi, I-I'm selfish, that's what he told me; and I want to prove myself, and keep his daughter safe, maybe she'll be safer with you than with me. I just don't know, thats why I want to take precautions Aranel. Look, just at least come with us to Minas Tirith, I don't know how to explain any of this to Aragorn or my fellow shifters. You've seen what happened, I'll need you with me, just for there, then you can disappear, and keep her safe."

"Only to Minas Tirith." She mused, "And from there I decide where my niece goes."

12700073

"Aye...." Thoruk grunts, gliding onto the ground and sitting down. "Hm, atleast I don't have to bath anymore" he'd say, laying down. "A nap is what I realy need now..." Thoruk thinks as he closes his eyes, not on a very soft ground but enaugh to sleep on after all this chaos.

Card nodded to Aranel. "We'd best get the others ready for the jump to Minas Tirith, then I'll go to find Earendil, with whomever here wishes to join me. I didn't exactly leave on the best of terms though, I suggest we arrive at the outskirts of the city, then enter the city on foot. Seek out Aragorn and the others, then explain the situation. It's probably best if I leave the Silmaril hidden until we arrive at his court." With that, the Dunlending approached the others.

"I-I dunno Ha'zi, you know I'd never mean to kill you. This giant is so powerful that I can hardly control myself, let alone when I feel in danger." His gazed flicked momentarily towards the rangers approaching. "Moreover," he continued, "you do sort of forget that one can actually die in here, especially with someone like you, so energetic and..." he searched for another adjective, "st-sturdy, yeah, you can really take a hit."

Arandil had been waiting for an hour now. In the short time they had been there, all his companions had abandoned him, a major forest fire had started and ended and now he could hear snoring coming from over the riverbend. What the hell was happening?

Thoruk enjoyed a nice nap on the hard cold wet rocks of the Celduin vale. At this rate, Thoruk would have neck defects due to the sleeping positions he had grown accustomed to.

Aranel seemed hesitant but shrugged. The Dunlending would never stop not without some leeway.

Cardiloc found Beren and Endo eating the remnants of the badger like the starved animals they were.

12700073

The horses strode up beyond the wall of heat and one of the men whistled to them both.

"Oi, you comin'?! Or you two ladies gonna keep me waitin' till lunch?" It was Arcturus, their drill sergeant. Quite a jackass. He had personally subjected Ha'zi to quite a lot of racism and teased Daugo about his hairy feet too often.

“Save some for Laurel,” He told the pair. “Is she up yet? We’ll be moving on soon, to Minas Tirith. Berethor, It’s probably best you don’t reveal yourself, your own self here ambushed us in Mordor. We will arrive at the outskirts of the city, then approach on foot, we will go to the front gates and I will ask for an audience with the king, if I must I will reveal my identity as the Hybrid shifter. We will discuss your timeline with him, and take counsel on what to do next.” He informed the others.

"No." Berethor said. "I've got my own plans."

12700073

“Doesn’t everyone, look, Berethor. I understand Ha’zi promised all of you a paradise where you can be safe, but you need to work for that, you need to help me make it a paradise. Because if none of you help me in a few years it might just be just like your world. All of you have seen how badly stuff went, I didn’t experience it like you but I saw what it’s like. I need you, or at least one of you.” Cardiloc explained to Berethor.

Thoruk sat there, next to his father. "Another one of ya best" he'd say, immediatly getting another mug of ale. "Here ya go lad." the dwarf on the other side of the counter would say to Thoruk. He enjoys the time, as everything seemed so peaceful. "Glad you came back son and didn't go with the others to mordor." Thoruk glanced at his father "What did I?" he'd ask himself, coughing, due to ale he drank to quickly. "I did what?" he'd ask his father. A second later the ground starts shaking and above them a big creature in form of a shadow appears. "It's ok" Thrak would say as the shadow grabs him. "NO!" Thoruk would shout, trying to shoot a lightning at the arm of this shadow. Yet nothing comes out, not even a little spark. "Do the right thing" Thrak would say before slowly turning into ash. As the ashes fly off into complete darkness, Thoruk stands there, a cold shiver going down his back as the shadow consumes everything around him. "I ain't letting ya down father..." Thoruk would mumble, sitting there, in the darkness. Would he awake from this nightmare?

"Nice place you got here" Iver said, "lot's of bones" he added, hoping to get an explanation yet not forcing Thule to give it.

Ha'zi was about to say more to the aggravating hobbit but was interrupted by hollering from below. Arcturus... that cunt. The Haradrim sighed with a wheeze and glared at the hobbit, then went to answer the drillmaster with a croaky shout, "Fine, we're coming!" Grumbling, Ha'zi started the climb down, the electricity dissipating as he went.
----------------
Sigeric met up with the approaching rangers, giving a salute and a smile out of gratitilude. "So," he said, moving forward, "have we won this time? I was unable to hear or see much after Daugo turned over, but it sure looked like the Behemoth was vanquished after I got up here."

"I ain't doin' it, man." Endo said. "No way, hoe-say."

Berethor kept quiet.

"Do you think any of us want to go back to fighting? We just came from it. At least give us a break." It was Laurel who spoke. She appeared at the entrance to the doorway. Had she been eavesdropping on them?

12700073

--------------

The darkness closed in around Thoruk and everything went black.

His eyes opened. He was on the valleyfloor. Where was Iver? What about Arandil? And Aratho-Aranel?

13615485

Garath laughed at that. "Nice nose," He remarked. Iver's nose was still cracked.

"It's still under construction but thanks," Thule said, ignoring Garath. "This way." She indicated a door and knocked on it. After a few moments, there was a call from inside, "Come in!"

Thule opened the door and Iver spied a little cozy home on the inside. It was about the size of a cabin and seemed freshly built. He glimpsed a couple of crude wooden chairs, a few sheets on the ground, a table and what seemed to be a wooden bed in the back but it was elevated above the ground and was far too small for him to sleep in. Before he could glimpse anything else, he was distracted by someone sitting in one of the chairs. Light obscured his view of the person.

"Go on," Thule nudged Iver gently.

"According to our reports, under a hundred. Maybe seventy. And you'll see firsthand when we use these babies tomorrow morning. Now, dismissed. We begin training on the morrow in the White Mountains outpost."

The next morning.

"Move it or lose it, maggots!" Tildir screamed at them as they jogged up the road to the Ered Nimrais Special training camp which was located up in the mountains.

Hering and Erchirion were side by side with packs that seemed to carry rocks and snow coming down on them. It was freezing cold up there and they hadn't even reached the top. The elf, Glorfindel, their apparent Captain was far ahead on the track, riding up upon a chestnut brown mare.

"Won? This was the worst stalemate in the history of stalemates. I cannot comprehend how that happened. Do you plan things out or just make them up as you go along?" The ranger, known as Ramdir replied to the Guardian Shifter.

"Taking your sweet, time. I see. Want extra time on dish duty tonight, Daugo!" Arcturus yelled at the Hobbit.

16315828 13527980

Well, this is a disappointing Iver thought as he noticed his nose was still not fixed before he knocked it back to his place.
Iver walked into the hut, not arguing.
